Holy Trinity School Kicks off Catholic Schools Week next weekend! Help us participate by being Greeters at the Mass. It is real simple and a lot of fun!

The 5:30 Mass on Saturday 1/28 and Sunday 1/29 are completely open. There are a few time slots open at the 8am & 10am Masses on Sun 1/29. Both parents and the children are welcome to participate!

Wanted: Singers in 3^rd – 8^th grade to join in celebrating the

5:00 p.m. Holy Trinity Family Christmas Eve Mass

Every year at the Christmas Eve family mass, our school children help to lead the mass by participating in the readings, Nativity play, and by singing in the children’s choir. This year, we will be holding choir practices in the church directly after school, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Thursday, Dec. 1^st

Thursday, Dec. 8^th

Thursday, Dec. 15^th

Monday, Dec. 19^th

We will be practicing with Mrs. Ballard and the Nativity group during some of these rehearsals. Please note that your child is welcome to sing in the choir AND to be involved in the Nativity play.

I will make sure the children get safely from the school grounds to the church, and parents can pick up their children at 4:00 from the church, or I will deliver them back to day care.

JOG-A-THON IS FAST APPROACHING..... This Friday, 11/18 is the big day!!!! Remember to turn in your donations and collections! We thank you for your continued support to our school! We hope that everyone is on target to fulfilling their fundraising requirements. Everyone appreciates all of us participating for the good of our school. It is a really fun day; thank you ALL for your participation!

CARBO LOAD BEFORE THE JOG A THON!! Remember, we have our monthly Restaurant Night at Ottavio's this Thursday, November 17th. Support our school, while supporting this Holy Trinity, family owned restaurant! We will receive 18% of the proceeds. Halloween Carnival 2011

Preparations are underway for a great Halloween Carnival. Plan to come and play games, make crafts, tour the spooktacular Mad Lab Haunted House, eat lots of yummy food, win raffle baskets, and have a great time. Bring your friends!

Saturday, October 29th, 3:00pm - 9:00pm, outside at Holy Trinity School.

Volunteers - Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far. If you have not vounteered yet, please sign-up to help set-up, work in a booth, or help with clean-up. Your help is needed and appreciated.

Dinner Packages - Pre-sale dinner and ticket packages are still available at a discounted rate. Forms will be included in the Parent Envelopes or stop by the front office. ORDER NOW!

Food Drive - Don't forget to bring in your canned goods and guess the number of candies in the glass pumpkin located in the front office. The winner will receive a ticket to be the first to enter the Haunted House.

Mini-Carnival - Devoted to our Preschoolers and Kindergartners and held in conjunction with the main Carnival. Held at Holy Trinity School from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. See your flyer for more details.

A big thanks to everyone that helped last weekend. We need more helpers if we are to finish before school starts!

We will be painting this week on Thursday from about 5:00 until 7:30 or 8, and Saturday from 8:30-12:30.

We still need help preparing the building. If you have a disc grinder, we need a couple with 16 grit discs, and palm sanders with 32 grit paper. Of course we need scrapers do bring them if you have them.

In Memoriam

Today the Holy Trinity community mourns the loss of a dear friend, Eddie Carrillo, who passed away yesterday, May 1^st.

Eddie was a worker that comes along only once in a great while. Eddie served on the school board for over 10 years, many of those serving as President. Eddie coached the girls varsity soccer team to 2^nd place in 2004; losing 1-0 on what he always said was bad call. Eddie revived the Holy Tee Golf Tournament, staying on as chair for three years after his youngest had graduated from the school.

Eddie was also active in the parish, serving as a Eucharistic minister, and as Jamboree chair in the mid 90’s. More recently, Eddie was responsible for the Jamboree beer garden.

Eddie truly was a gift to Holy Trinity, and he will be missed.

Please join us for a facilities work party this Saturday, March 12th from 9-12 and enjoy alunch, compliments of the facilities committee. We will be cleaning up the campus and making some small repairs to the school and preschool. If you have gardening tools, please bring them along, as we will also be splitting some plants and removing weeds.
