It's an extremely high quality machine with solid, heavy components and yet a remarkably small footprint (preserving relative marital harmony. It has easy-to-access inside components, so anyone with the desire to do so can easily and intuitively take apart the insides for routine cleaning and maintenance. The machine is made in Italy, near Milan. But unlike many of the Italian machines, Pasquini has a well-established US headquarters, located in Los Angeles. From my experience, they actually pick up the phone, and if you need a part or get technical advise, you will talk with a real person right away. Pasquini Espresso Co. 1501 W Olympic Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90015 (213) 739-0480 By the way, the 57mm portafilter allows you to use a trimmed Red Bull can (also 57mm in diameter) as a chute so that grinds move directly into the portafilter from your grinder, with absolutely no mess. I use a Baratza Virtuoso without the bin. This is by far the neatest system I have found (and I have researched it extensively online).

Here is some information to supplement the Amazon description:
Commercial Portafilter and Brew Group

The Livietta features a 57mm portafilter and rugged brew group to dispense the best tasting espresso without losing heat. Constructed of chrome-plated marine brass, the heavy-duty portafilter and brew group are essential to quality brewing, ensuring that every shot of espresso will be delivered to your cup at the right temperature.
Dual Thermblock Boiler System

The Livietta T2 has 2 thermoblocks for a steady supply of espresso as well as steam, anytime you need it. With the Livietta, you can froth or steam milk for lattes and cappuccinos even while you brew. This makes the machine great for entertaining, allowing you to create a number of different drinks without making guests wait long.
Simple Controls

Using the Livietta is very straightforward, with 3 professional-style rocker switches to control brewing, steaming and power. The rocker switch on the right side of the machine turns it on, and it takes just 2 minutes for the Livietta to heat up to brewing temperature. The buttons on the left side are for steaming and brewing, and each one is labeled clearly for ease-of-use.
3-Way Solenoid Valve

The Pasquini Livietta T2 has a built-in 3-way solenoid valve to relieve water pressure at the end of the brewing cycle. When the brew switch is turned off, the 3-way solenoid valve is activated. This will eliminate excess water in the grouphead, avoiding dripping or spattering when the portafilter is removed.
Cup Warmer

The Livietta has a stainless steel cup warmer on the top of the machine, with a built-in rail to keep all of your cups secure. The cup warmer is heated by passive heat from the thermoblock boilers, ensuring all your cups are preheated and ready for brewing. The cup warmer is large enough to store 10 demitasse cups.

Pasquini HMLVS Livietta T2 Espresso Machine Feature

semi-automatic espresso machine

compact size

commercial portafilter and brew group

dual thermblock boiler system

Pasquini HMLVS Livietta T2 Espresso Machine Overview

The Paquini Livietta T2 semi-automatic espresso machine it one of the most compact of its kind. What it lacks in size, however, it does not give up in quality. Encased in stainless steel, the Livietta measures just over 12â tall and 8â wide. Inside the Livietta are a powerful 15 bar pump and 2 thermoblocks that can brew and steam simultaneously. The Livietta is known for its quick heat up timeâjust 2 minutes for brewing and 4 minutes for steaming. In no time it makes espresso, lattes, cappuccinos and more for you and your guests. The chrome-plated marine brass brew group infuses the perfect heat, and the machine has a 3-way solenoid valve that regulates pressure. This could not be simpler to use. I bought this machine 4 weeks ago and am probably through about 80 capsules (mostly for entertaining) and have since probably had 2 friends purchase the exact same one because of the taste, texture and quality of espresso. How can you beat a world class fresh espresso in about 30 seconds!!

The Nespresso pod's system could not be easier to use and clean. I think for the quality of product, the cost is also very reasonable per use.

I highly recommend this machine for true espresso aficionado's who are willing to depart from making their espresso's manually. I did and am very happy since.

Side note, if you are looking at getting the Nespresso Aeroccino...I would probably look at another brand...I have not had very good luck using it for cappuccino's as it seems to hang regularly (note, that I only drink espresso's and make cappuccino's only when I must :)).

Here is why I love my machine:
* Easy to use machine
* warming area great for espresso lovers
* Easy buttons on top ensure consistency
* Looks fantastic on my counter
* Crema is second to none!!
What I don't like:
* Nothing...it is an amazing machine

Nespresso C185/T Le Cube Automatic Machine Feature

19 bars of pressure brew the perfect cup of espresso

Features electronic temperature regulation and automatic control of amount per cup

Includes 12 capsules and automatically ejects new ones

Nespresso machines work exclusively with Nespresso's premuim coffee capsules, which can be ordered from the Nespresso Club Online, or by phone, fax or mail

A classy titanium finish accents the modern cube design;9Hx9Wx9D"

Nespresso C185/T Le Cube Automatic Machine Overview

Nespresso C185 Koenig Le Cube Espresso MachineNespresso's newest machine, Le Cube, is the Macintosh of espresso makers! However I did some more research and found many positive reviews elsewhere online so decided to give it a try>
The Saeco Talea Ring is very advanced and offers many settings that you wouldn't find on the average super automatic machine. It can be pretty tricky to find the right setting for your taste but definatelly possible. After 4 trial expresso's and maybe 20 min to setup all the settings I had perfectlly brewed coffee with nice rich crema. I did not experience any leaaking or messes mentioned on the other reviews.
My only negative comment if you want to call it that is the machine is a bit pricey however i love my coffee and my beleif is satisfaction justifies the cost.

Saeco S-TRP-ST Talea Ring Plus Super Automatic Espresso Machine Feature

1500-watt super-automatic espresso machine with 15-bars of pump pressure

Ceramic disc grinder; 3 programmable brew settings; 57-ounce water tank

Rapid-steam technology; removable brew group for easy cleaning; steam wand

Milk Island frother, water filter, descaling solution, brush, and more included

Measures 16 by 13 by 14-1/2 inches; 2-year limited warranty

Saeco S-TRP-ST Talea Ring Plus Super Automatic Espresso Machine Overview

The Talea Ring Plus offers all the convenience of a super automatic espresso machine, but includes more options for frothing and steaming milk for cappuccinos and lattes, as well as click wheel technology--programming and brewing with the Talea Ring Plus is as simple as using an ipod. The Talea Ring Plus has a LCD display with a click wheel interface for simplified operation of programmable settings. The Talea takes care of the grinding, dosing, tamping and brewing, but allows for personal taste in the programming of coffee size, strength and temperature. The LCD display lets you know what is happening in the machine at all times and will even tell you when maintenance and cleaning are needed. The Talea Ring Plus offers a new technology with its milk island for automatic frothing, but also comes with a manual steam wand. The 13.5 ounce glass milk island plugs into the side of the machine and actually draws steam from the Talea to make its steamed and frothed milk. Best of all, it's easy to clean. The Talea offers the patented technology of the Saeco Brew System--turn the dial either right or left and change the strength and consistency of your coffee by either increasing or decreasing the water pressure as it moves through the grounds. I found a refurbished E8 online and decided to take a leap and buy my first superautomatic. Here is my take on the pros and cons:

PRO: Super easy to use. The machine tells you when you need to clean, add water, empty the grounds, everything. The machine heats up very quickly and stays hot, even for steaming. This is definitely a benefit when you are trying to make coffee drinks for more than 2 people. With my Gaggia, making more than 2 drinks was a chore because you had to refill the tank and reheat multiple times.

CONS: I feel I'm not getting the espresso taste out of the Jura as I did with the Gaggia. Don't get me wrong, the taste still beats the pants off Starbucks or any coffee chain, but you don't really have much control over how long your shot is, how hard to tamp the grounds, and it is difficult to see how the difference in the grind settings. Also, I don't get as nice of froth with the Jura as I did with the Gaggia. I might get the optional FrothXpress attachment and try that.

Since this is my first superautomatic, I'm not sure if these problems are Jura E8 specific, or common among all supers. All in all, I am very happy with the machine. I should also note that recently the machine started leaking out the bottom. With the dual heating sources, you can froth milk while pulling espresso shots. There is no waiting, as one pump is devoted to espresso extraction and the other pump can be simultaneously delivering steam for frothing. This handsome machine can be at the forefront of your preparation area. There are no gawky handles and exposed piping to mar its smooth, polished finish. The Spanish even thoughtfully embossed their name in lieu of the more common sticker. The controls are well marked and the buttons on the front identify ?power?, ?coffee (for brewing), ?water?, and ?steam? for the frothing wand. The water tap accesses the brewing boiler for quickly preheating cups, a cup of tea, or an Americano. The steam wand comes with a removable frothing aider. And, when there is overflow, the very generous drip tray is easily slid out from the front of the machine. Cycling the espresso system is straightforward. Pressing the ?coffee? switch will release water heated to 100C with the grouphead temperatures closer to 95C, an ideal condition. Brewing continues until the ?coffee? button is pressed again. Steam control functions in the same manner. The machine is finished in brushed Inox steel, including the drip tray. The cup warmer, fitted with a handsome rail, is also brushed stainless. All in all, the Steel Duo offers professional features at an affordable price. No professional barista needed to produce incredibly great coffee at home! The appliance has a built-in coffee mill with conical grinders adjusted to the fraction of a millimeter. The large boiler is in brass, in the old tradition of professional coffee-makers, to guarantee a thermal inertia allowing excellent control of the temperature, governed by thermostats operating with a tolerance of less than 5 degrees Centigrade. The machine is equipped with solenoid valve on the water delivery unit. This device cuts out water drips from the filter or spouts at times when the pressure is high. The solid professional brass filter-holder retains the heat, always guaranteeing an espresso at the ideal temperature. All internal pipes are in brass. The specially designed steam spout is equipped with a device for easy frothing of milk when making a cappuccino.

Nemox Caffe Dell Opera Espresso Machine Specifications

Available at Amazon Check Price Now!

*** Product Information and Prices Stored: Apr 15, 2010 07:09:07Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408687754877098644.post-44725083667201559032010-04-10T05:18:00.001-07:002010-04-10T05:19:14.071-07:00

I have owned this machine (8-cup) for over ten years and everyday when I make my morning cappuccino I love it more. You can spend more for a machine that measures the coffee, tamps it, pulls the water through and steams the milk for you, but you can tip the kids behind the counter at Starbucks and they'll do the same thing. Making espresso should be a little art and a little science and this machine an impeccable balance of the two. If you aren't the kind of person who takes joy in mixing the perfect martini, making a risotto that whispers with flavor, or whipping a meringue to impossibly tall peaks, this probably isn't the machine for you.

The La Pavoni is for the person who will find tremendous joy in going to the lengths required to make a perfect cappuccino by hand everyday. (And don't bother using anything less than Illy Cafe coffee in it.)

La Pavoni PC-16 Professional Espresso Machine, Chrome Feature

Professional-style machine

Attractive chrome base

Great steaming mechanism for cappuccinos

Comes with detailed instructions and an instructional video

Made in Italy

La Pavoni PC-16 Professional Espresso Machine, Chrome Overview

The la Pavoni Professional is a lever-pull espressomachine with a 38-ounce boiler capacity that makessixteen 2-ounce cups of espresso - make one or twocups at a time. An internal thermostat controls thepressure. The unit also features a mounted pressuregauge, a dual frothing cappuccino system and a re-setfuse in case of overheating. Nickel-plated with solidbrass boilers. Comes with an instructional video. About la Pavoni: Since 1905, craftsman have built each la Pavoni machine by hand using only the finest materials. Superbly polished chrome or brass finishes accent the highly efficient design. la Pavoni has set the standard for quality and style - stylish espresso machines found only in Old World cafes and now in your home or office. Each machine is designed to last for years.

La Pavoni PC-16 Professional Espresso Machine, Chrome Specifications

Perhaps it's not surprising that an Italian company such as La Pavoni takes its espresso and cappuccino very seriously. The detailed manual and video that come with this professional-style machine spare no small detail while guiding you through the espresso and cappuccino process. With proper equipment, La Pavoni argues, including very fine grounds and a state-of-the art machine, an espresso or cappuccino can be a work of art. Because cafe prices are rising and an improperly made espresso is indistinguishable from mud, it's worth investing the time and equipment required for a rich and truly satisfying espresso experience. For me, one thing that separates a barista-style cappuccino from many homemade efforts is the quality of the foam. The Europiccola produces foam with just right amount of frothiness, although the foam can also be controlled if you prefer less enthusiastic frothing. For top-quality cappuccinos, the machine should be descaled four or five times a year (descaling instructions are included). Made of gleaming chrome, this strikingly attractive machine should not be cleaned with abrasives. --Laura Cuthbert
Editor's note: This item may arrive with water inside from the manufacturer's pressure test. This is a normal occurrence and doesn't point to a problem with the machine.

Available at Amazon Check Price Now!

*** Product Information and Prices Stored: Apr 10, 2010 07:18:21Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408687754877098644.post-16158767199742089372010-03-31T07:58:00.001-07:002010-03-31T07:59:03.681-07:00

Venezia II Steamer, 2 Steam Wands, 6 qt Boiler, Color Display Feature

Venezia II Steamer, 2 Steam Wands, 6 qt Boiler, Color Display Overview

Venezia II Steamer, 2 steam wands, 6 quart s/s boiler, steam pressure gauge with color display, 3000 watt heating element, 100 watt motor, red finish, 240v, 3.1kw, 13 amps (Cecilware) ( Cecilware - ST220V )

Venezia II Steamer, 2 Steam Wands, 6 qt Boiler, Color Display Specifications

Available at Amazon Check Price Now!

*** Product Information and Prices Stored: Mar 31, 2010 09:57:54Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408687754877098644.post-63693798342554806932010-03-31T07:54:00.001-07:002010-03-31T07:58:49.175-07:00

La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II Espresso Machine Feature

La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II Espresso Machine Overview

Matching the excellent temperature regulation of its big brother, La Spaziale's Mini-Vivaldi II has an internal water tank, making it a great fit for those who want a double boiler but don't have the option of plumbing in their espresso machine. It is a fully automatic espresso machine that has four programmable buttons for dispensing any amount of water through your coffee with the push of a button. The commercial style boiler is made of copper and has all the controls that are found on the larger commercial machines. It can simultaneously brew and steam, allowing for extensive flexibility. This machine is sensational for those who love to entertain, or even just for the executive who does not want to visit the drip coffee machine down the hall. It has both a steam wand and hot water dispensing wand that are mounted on ball joints so that they can swing in any direction. Its size makes it convenient for those who dont want to give up a large amount of counter space. It is 15.5 tall, 9.5 wide and 16.5 deep. The group head is comparable to the renowned E61 group head with pre-infusion and thermal siphon for maximum temperature stability and aroma extraction. The stainless steel housing is as beautiful as it is durable. The accessories include a chrome plated brass portafilter, tamper, single shot filter basket, double shot filter basket and a 7 gram coffee scoop.

Expobar Office Control Espresso Machine Specifications

Available at Amazon Check Price Now!

*** Product Information and Prices Stored: Mar 19, 2010 08:31:55Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408687754877098644.post-60783940428925472652010-03-17T06:54:00.001-07:002010-03-17T06:54:56.481-07:00
Imusa Espresso, Cappuccino Maker Review

I purchased this to replace a Duncan Hines cappuccino maker I have used almost daily since 1994. My goal was to find one that was as similar as possible to my old unit, since it worked so well for so long.

This is the closest I could find. It has a few flaws. For instance, you must pour the water s-l-o-w-l-y into the tank or it overflows because the opening is somewhat restricted. The carafe is about 1/8" bigger than the base it rests on, which is really odd. My old one had a grippy rubberized base; this one is slick, which doesn't help matters. Also, you must push on the little black thing that holds the basket in place when you are dumping out old grounds, or it doesn't retain the basket.

I still give the unit 4 stars because it makes a very good cappuccino at a very reasonable price, and it's competitors are worse.

It works quickly, the control knob is very smooth and allows you to modulate the force of the frothing wand. The wand itself comes with a silly rubber nipple that I promptly removed. The frother works well without it, and that's one less thing to clean. It's important that you wipe off the wand after frothing with a damp cloth as soon as your done. If you don't it hardens and requires more cleaning effort. FYI, from time to time you'll need to clear the little jets on the nozzle. I found a thin sewing needle works well.

I looked everywhere, online and off, and this is by far the best bang for the buck. The machine kept showing the "ventilate" sign (apparently a common problem) and I couldn't figure out what to do. (Manual is terrible!) I went to fix it.com and found someone who was able to solve the problem. Go in the menu and get the asterik to show next to factory settings. (Use the arrow buttons to get the asterik on factory settings. Push "yes." That should solve the problem. You will have to reset the cup sizes.

I haven't seen the ventilate sign for a long time now. My family has made over 1,500 cups now and we love our machine. It is very easy to clean too. We use Lavazza Super Crema beans ( for 2.2 pounds) It's a smooth, mellow tasting Italian bean that is not bitter or greasy. (Beans never get stuck in the hopper.) It makes a nice, authentic Italian "crema" too. You can actually call this super automatic a Coffee Center because it allows you to create practically any coffee drink you could imagine and in most cases, replaces the drip coffee maker altogether. The 100% stainless steel housing encloses the same internals as our Gaggia Titanium, as well as the cobalt blue LCD digital display and seven push buttons that operate many of the features on this well-built machine. Five temperature settings, an on/off timer and clock, three coffee volume settings, pre-infusion, and the pre-grind feature are all programmable through the menu that appears on the cobalt blue digital display. The Gaggia Titanium SS is equipped with two stainless steel-lined boilers that provide a Rapid Steam System, making it powerful enough to brew and then steam with no down time. Features like the bypass doser, adjustable coffee strength, and adjustable grind settings make it possible for you to produce coffeehouse style drinks like a seasoned barista. In addition, the stainless steel turbo-frother and automatic frothing attachment, which dispenses frothed milk directly into your cup, make frothing and steaming a snap, while the bypass doser allows you to add pre-ground decaffeinated or flavored coffee directly into the espresso machine ¿ a fantastic feature for those who entertain in the evening. Simply stated, the Gaggia Titanium SS is a world-class espresso machine that delivers perfect thick, rich, golden crema effortlessly every time.

Gaggia 90501 Titanium SS Super Automatic Espresso and Cappuccino Machine, Stainless Steel Specifications

Available at Amazon Check Price Now!

*** Product Information and Prices Stored: Mar 17, 2010 08:53:26Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-408687754877098644.post-90789301948962783392010-03-13T06:10:00.001-08:002010-03-13T06:11:46.796-08:00

Venezia 1 Group Automatic Espresso Machine Feature

Venezia 1 Group Automatic Espresso Machine Overview

Nothing compliments a dessert better than a hot cup of espresso or cappuccino. I was skeptical of buying it a year ago because of all the negative reviews. However I bought it because it did everything I wanted it to and it was a good price. One year later and I STILL LOVE IT! It works great and easy, makes coffee fast and good every time and is low maintenance despite what others are saying. In the year I've owned it all we do is wash out the pot and rinse some of the parts....couldn't be easier. Maybe some of these are lemons...I'm really not sure why this machine gets such bad reviews...But I love mine and would get another one right away if something happened to it.

Krups XP2010 Combination Unit; 10 cup Coffee Maker & 15-bar Pump Espresso Feature

Dual function combination machine has 10 cup coffee maker and 15 bar pump espresso maker

Coffee maker has large 10 cup glass carafe, removable filter holder, anti-drip system and optional water filtration

Espresso machine is a 15 bar pressure system with thermoblock heating element; accommodates both ground espresso and ESE pre-portioned pods

Simple on /off button for coffee.

Beautiful brushed stainless steel finish with illuminated blue lights, drip tray and cup warmer

Krups XP2010 Combination Unit; 10 cup Coffee Maker & 15-bar Pump Espresso Overview

New from Krups, the XP2010 Combi Machine is a dual function espresso and drip coffee maker.
