Pandora - Free Music that Helps You Find Good Bands

Pandora is one of my favorite website. It is an internet radio. What makes it different is that you type in a song and songs that sound like the one you type in will appear.

When i signed up for Napster i downloaded about 300 songs. Then i went to Pandora and discovered many good bands. and download another 300. Pandora does a great job on find music that sounds like the music you like. The only downside is that after a few songs they ask you to make a free account. Later, I will teach how to rip songs from Pandora.

Review of Ubuntu 8.04

Yes, I installed Xubuntu 8.04 on my computer. Why Xubuntu? Well, my computer is one and a half years old and Xubuntu is fast (because its meant for old computers) and i like the interface.

I have tried Ubuntu 7.04 before and hated it. My wireless wouldn't connect and i couldn't write to my Windows partition. From then i thought Ubuntu wasn't that great. I was bored about a month ago and went to Wubi. Realizing that it is officially supported i decided to try 8.04 out.
I was IMPRESSED! With the new NTFS-3g you can read and write to NTFS partitions! I loved it so much i used lvmp to move it to a partition. I fix my wireless problems too. I have a BCM43xx wireless card. (That's my next post). The only problem was that I held the power button and the computer shut off. On the next boot up Ubuntu failed and went to Bash. I just reinstalled it. I fixed my problems by moving it to a dedicated partition.

Well this blog hasn't had a new post in a while. Why? Well i lost interest in it. I am still in school and i don't want to manage it. I am thinking about giving it away. I have almost 10,000 Entrecard credits, some SEO (people are finding it via Google), and a good amount of traffic. Real y i don't know what to do.

Why you should do pay to clicks.

I have decided to join a couple more trustable pay to click sites. Pay to click (or PTC) is basically when you are paid to click advertisements. And here i am going to tell you why you should join them.

Well first off i am going to tell you that i researched a group of sites that are very trustable. They are: Xclix, Advercash, 10Bux.net, Titanclicks, Turbobux.com, and uBux.us

Once you have visited the site your probably saying "I ONLY EARN 1 CENT PER AD?!?!??!"

Actually this does add up. Let's do some math. 6 programs have 14 ads on average. 6 x 14 = 84
then its $0.01 per click. But in the next post i will teach you how to get atleast 1 referral just by signing up. So you really get 0.02 cents with a referral

84 x 0.02 = $1.68 OR $11.76 a week OR $58.02 a month OR $598.08 a year.

Install Ubuntu EASY! There will be NO partitions, CDs, or geeky stuff todo!

Before we began our installation of Ubuntu, what is ubuntu. Ubuntu is an Operating System (OS) based on Linux. There are many versions of Linux. Linux is safer, faster, and more secure than Vista (and XP). Also while Vista cost $240 (Home Premuim) Linux cost .........
FREEE!!! Yes Linux is free. So do you want to try it out? After the installation you WILL have all your files and when you start up your computer you will have the option to start Vista (or XP) or Linux/Ubuntu. So lets get started.

First download Wubi and install it.

Once opened choose your user name and password. The minmuim installation size is 4 GB which is fine but i recommand 6 GB. Then choose your desktop environment.
Xubuntu is for slow, older computer -> picture
Ubuntu has something for everyone -> picture
Edubuntu is for education -> picture
Kubuntu (my favorite) is Ubuntu with KDE (looks nicer and more user friendly) -> picture
UbuntuStudio is Ubuntu that comes with free professional software to edit audio, video, and graphics -> picture

Once you have choosen your version click install.
Then do something for about 4 hours and when you return you will be running Linux!

How to get referrals!

If you are a person who is rather gullible and tries every program on the internet than getting referrals can be a problem. Whether its making money online or trying to get a free iPod.

Referrals are a hard thing to find. Whether you be a jerk and tell friends to do something or post a Youtube video or article you never really get many referrals. I have a way to get some.

But please click my re feral link. This isn't a paid post and it wont affect your account. And if you don't click mine click someone else otherwise your rather selfish.

1. Make a account at GetRef.com <---- (this is when you be generous. ; ) If you are generous i might give you a reward. Comment!)

2. Now you need to get some points. The way do to that is to join someone ones program. So say you want a free iPod. In your account click Earn then Earn By Joining Programs then click the site that you want to go through. By the way if you upgrade to gold you earn double the credits.

3. Once you joined a program, click the Spend button. Then click buy referrals for your program after find your program and start marketing for it.

4. For additional credits you can join more program or buy some. You can also click links and watch them for 15 seconds by that only earns you an average of maybe .012 credits.

5. Once you finish a program and get money or a prize or whatever tell me, because I want to inform people on what are scams and what is real.

Started to do some Pay To Clicking

Yes, I have started to do some pay to clicking. I have decided to choose TitanCash Network over Bux.to because i read some bad reviews of Bux.to and they are true. Well first off. Pay to click or PTC is basically when you are paid to view advertisements.

I have an account on Advercash.net and Titanclicks.com. Here are my referral links if anyone wants to be nice :) : Titanclick and Advercash. (You can also get some EC or GetRef credits by signing up). I think they lack lots of ads. Advercash is much better than titanclicks because it has more higher paying ads. (I hate the ads on titanclick that you make 0.001 off of.) I have clicked about 170 ads and made about $0.90. That's not a lot but i have only been doing this for five days. The key tho make more money is referrals. I will show you how to get some EASY in a future article. You can also purchase referrals, but I read some bad reviews about purchasing them. I will keep you notified when I get paid (if i get paid).

About the free iPod scam (I need HELP!). (BTW this i NOT a paid post and there isn't any "referral" links)

The free iPod scams. Well i really shouldn't say that. I would like to know if they are scams. I was thinking about doing one through a Trainn.org site. If anyone had experience with them please comment. But PLEASE no comments saying "It's Great! here is my refferal link" i don't want referal links. Nor do i want people saying all these sites are scams without any evidence. Please share your experience because there is many people that are stuck in the middle. Like me. And if enough people say its not a scam then i will try to get one. Please comment.

Drop Entrecards FAST!

Ok, every site has a post like this. Drop EntreCards Fast. What makes mine different? I combine the site program together to make the Best Dropping ever!

Well the fastest way to drop EntreCard is to, .... drum roll .... use tysblog.com idea and entrecard.bendzg.com sites.Thankfully, i have complied all this to together. Right click here, and Save Target As... .
UPDATE: INTERNET EXPLORER IS NOT WORKING! PLEASE USE FIREFOX!

Next open Internet Explorer. (Firefox intstructions below)!
Goto File -> Import and Export
Click Next twice, find the file you saved and click FINISH!
Now for the better Internet browser Firefox! :) (Actually, I use and like Maxthon more!)

Open Firefox up. Then goto Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks
Then in the Bookmark Manager window goto file -> Import
Select From File -> Find the file and your done!

Now using it.

Start up your browser and goto Bookmarks -> EntreCard Dropping -> Ulimate EntreCard Phemonon (excuse my spelling) -> .1 Seconds -> group 1 -> Open All tabs.

Use control + Tab to go through the page dropping. Then when your done goto the send group and so on. Do all .1 - .5 second folders and you should have dropped 305 sites!

FIX Missing or Corrupt HAL.DLL

Every Windows user has had it. On startup your heart drops. A fatal error. Your computer's screen is all black except for the letters. Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\System32\Hal.dll . Luckily here is how you fix this problem!

First Missing or Corrupt HAL.DLL,

This happens to most people. You can't start your computer because its says missing or corrupt HAL.DLL.
The easiest way to fix this is to press F8 between the BIOS (for non-technical people- the BIOS is usually the company logo that happen right after you turn on the computer) and the Windows XP logo.
You will be presented with a menu. Choose the Last Good Boot Configuration or something like that. That (obviously) will start the last successful startup. But sometimes this fails. That's when you have to goto Plan B

Plan B
(You will need the Windows XP recovery console. This is only included a version of Windows that you bought. In won't be in yours if your computer came with XP preinstalled. To then get the console go here.

1. Insert your Windows XP cd. and restart your computer.
2. Your computer should start from the cd if it doesn't then I am goin to write a post on how to make it.
3. Within the Windows XP menu press R and your administative password is usually nothing so press enter when it asks you for that.
4. If you only have XP installed on your computer then type fixmbr and say yes to everything. Reboot and your DONE! If you have many OSes installed (i have three) than type copy boot.ini boot.backup (if file cannot be found then ignore it and continue). Then goto step 4 WARNING: You will get the same error if XP is not on the 1st partition. After step 4 you can reinstall GRUB if you use it and add more entries into your MBR with this.
Or if you use XP bootloader than you can open boot.backup with notepad (if you have boot.backup) and copy everything from there to boot.ini. But I recommand using the software.

Lastly, if none of these work then you have to copy Hal.dll from someones computer to yours. DONT SEARCH HAL.DLL ON GOOGLE!! You are kind of on your own on this. The way how I did it was I have Vista and XP installed and I went into vista and copied Hal.dll from my RECOVERY CD not Vista's Hal.dll and replaced it. Save the dead one. And after a couple of boots put the old Hal.dll back in!

Increase Traffic with EntreCard!

As you have probably seen I added EntreCard to my site. And traffic had increased. So I thought I should write a post on how EntreCard works and help you with it.

EntreCard is slightly confusing. So i'll teach you how it works.

First, everything runs on ECs of EntreCard Credits. Before we start talk about how it works you can sign up here entrecard.com. You don't need a credit card :) but you do need a picture.

You can either upload a 125 x 125 picture or make one. I STRONGLY suggest uploading one. A good picture will create more traffic!

Once at your dashboard you look on your left see people that want to advertise on your site. You can appove them or reject them. When you first start on EntreCard it costs advertisers 2 EC to advertise on your site. But as more people click on your EntreCard on your site and the more it costs to advertise.

Another way to get EntreCard points is to "Drop Yours" on another site. Don't forget to drop one on my site!!!! To drop EntreCard fast goto a site like powerdropping.com or sitehoppin.com. I recommand powerdropping.com.

The last way to get ECs is to post a comment saying your site. And as long as you click my site, I'll click yours (and read it, too)! Once you have enough ECs you can goto the Campaign tab on your Dashboard and advertise on someone elses site. Or this one!

I hope you learned something and if you have any questions post a comment. Remember if you post your site in a comment (i am working on removing the nofollow tag!!!!) I'll drop on your site and read it which increases your advertising fee. As long as you drop on mine.

Changing the Dock

With leopard came the 3-D dock. Ever wanted to change the look of the dock?
The site, leoparddocks.com lets you do this. There are hundreds of different types docks. They can arrange from white glass, to rainbow, to Mario Themes. These are the steps to guide you through it
1. download the dock design you want from leoparddocks.com
2. Open up the folder called "dock resources"
3. Replace the Files in dock resources with the files in the downloaded folder that have the same name. (note: you need to enter in the administrative password for this too work)
4. open terminal and type Killall Dock

the dock will disappear for a moment and then come back the way you want it.

You can also go to the site and download the file called "change dock."
if you use this, you simply have to....
1. Download the dock design
2. Run "change dock"
3. Select the ENTIRE FOLDER that contains the dock design.
This is my preferred way becuase it takes much less time and its easy to accidently replace a file that you shouldn't have.

First find the email.
Next look around for a Show Original ---> (Gmail)

View Source --> (Comcast Webmail) , or something like that.

Then find the section where it says Received: *text* and there should be a number after that that looks like this 72.14.207.99 but of course not the same numbers.

Then goto http://www.arin.net/whois/ and type that number. You can get a street address which is only sometimes correct, phone number, and EMAIL address!

Sadly you decided to join HD-DVDs side. And now since the format war is over, your stuck with lots of HD-DVDs. You could either buy a combo player (Blu-Ray and HD-DVD player). Sell them and buy Blu-Ray discs. Or convert them!

Wired Wiki how-to has a great article about how-to. WARNING: You need a fast processor, HD-DVD player for your computer, Blu-Ray burner, and 30 GB of space on your hard drive.

I thought I'd be nice to other bloggers and try to increase there SEO. SEO stands for Search Engine Optmization, it means to increase your Page Rank or how far down your link is when someone search a keyword. One of the ways to do this is to have backlinks. Backlinks are links on other peoples website that link to yours.

Temporary E-mail Addresses! Never give yours away!

Ever at a site where it asks you to give an E-mail address? And your not sure to give it out or not? Than this post is for you.

There are three solutions to this problem:

1. Temporary E-Mail Address.

2. Get a G-Mail Account.

3. Check with McAfee.

The first approach: Getting a temporary E-Mail address is simple.

When you come to a situation when your not sure whether to type in your real email than type: whateveryouwant@mailinator.com.

Then goto mailinator.com and check your mail, by going to their site and in the check your inbox box type what you put inside of whateveryouwant.

The second approach almost as easy. Goto Google.com and click Gmail. Setup a account.
Make a seperate account if you already have one. Then just use it as a spam inbox.

The last is check with with McAfee SiteAdvisor.

Goto siteadvisor.com, and at the bottom type the site. Make sure to only use the base! (example: http://homehacker.blogspot.com , NOT http://homehacker.blogspot.com/2008/02/temporary-e-mail-addresses-never-give.html)

Or just download SiteAdvisor for IE or FireFox.
