Not so fast there. Do you know that using someone else’s images can be illegal? Like anything thing else in this world, someone probably owns the rights to that picture and you could get into trouble for using it without permission.

You say, “But everybody does it!” Everybody used to share music files online too, until they cracked down on that. Recently a woman was ordered to pay $80,000 per 24 songs that she downloaded illegally!!! Yikes!

There are enough site where you can actually get free or inexpensive photos, that you really don’t need to set yourself up for a lawsuit.

Some of the websites that I use frequently are Bigfoto.com, Freedigitalphotos.net, Publicdomainpictures.net, and Microsoft.com (Microsoft is not as nice about where and when you can use their photos but still a good source.

If I can not find what I want I always go to Bigstockphoto.com they have this HUGE selection of pictures and you can get any picture there for as little as $1. This is big folks… someplace charge you $25 to $50 for one photo!!! That is crazy.

Bigstockphoto.com has everything you could ever ask for, from backgrounds, to people, food, abstracts, you name it they’ve got it.

Here you buy credits to buy your photos and depending on how large a photo you want is how many credits you pay for it. Now, if you are using this for your website or blog you do not need anything over a medium size photo which is 2 credits worth.

Credits worth depends on how many credits you buy but if you buy 30 credits which can get you 30 wonderful pictures that you can use anywhere and any time you want with out fear of a lawsuit or having to pull a picture off you site. 30 credits will cost you a meer $45 in this instance!!! Come on.. that is $1.50 a credit for a photo that is yours to use any way you see fit. It is a beautiful thing!

I have spent way to much money at Bigstockphoto because I love their photos! They have something for everything I have ever thought of and somethings I plan to write just because I found a photo and now have to put words to it!!!

Don’t get into trouble with the photos you use on your website or blog, it is not worth the trouble. Get your photos for free (just be sure to give them credit) or buy yours for a minimal charge at Bigstockphoto.com.

You won’t be sorry, spend a couple dollars and stay out of jail or avoid a lawsuit that could cost you thousands!

How to Create a Kindle Book to make money.

With Amazon.com’s recent release of new Kindle devices, Kindle has solidified its position as the leading e-reader device on the market. Readers love e-readers because they can purchase eBooks directly from the device (and save a trip to the bookstore) and they can carry hundreds of eBooks with them at one time.

For small businesses, the Kindle presents a unique opportunity to boost their businesses. The Kindle Direct Publishing (“KDP”) program allows anyone to create an eBook to sell in the online Kindle store.

Unlike the traditional publishing process, Amazon’s Kindle store gives you the opportunity to publish and sell books without having to find an agent, convince a traditional publisher to publish your book, to pay for a printing run, or to maintain a supply of printed books while you’re selling them.

Prepare Your Book

The first step is to have your book ready to publish. The book will likely be something original that you’ve either written yourself or contracted with a freelance writer to draft for you. (If you hire a freelance writer, make sure that you have an appropriate “work for hire” agreement in place so that you actually have all the rights to the work you pay for.) You must have appropriate rights to be able to publish the book.

If you want to publish public domain information, then you’ll have to do something to make it your own. This could mean that you’ve made a translation of the original public domain content, that you’ve added at least ten different illustrations to the book, or that you’ve annotated the text.

In order to use Amazon’s KDP program, the book must in a particular format. Thankfully, the program supports a number of different formats, so there’s a good chance that you won’t have much conversion or clean-up to do. Do pay attention to the required formatting rules, though.

For example, if you have your book in Microsoft Word document format, you need to make sure that there are no bullets, headers or footers in the document.

Publish Your Book

Sign up for a KDP account. You can use your existing Amazon.com customer account (if you have one), or sign up for a new account. You’ll need to provide some personal and financial information to get your account completely set up.

In order to publish your book you’ll need to upload a properly formatted file, a cover image, as well as the basic information about the author and the book itself. You’ll also need to include a description of your book – this block of text is important because it’s what customers will see when they view the sales page for the book in the Kindle store. Once you’ve provided all the necessary information, your book will usually be published into the store within 24 hours.

Publicize Your Book

The last step, of course, is to publicize your book. There are a number of tools available from your Kindle account. But the most successful channel is likely to be the publicity that you can generate through your own social networks and websites.

Finding Out What’s Causing Your Migraines

Posted By Susanne Myers On June 10, 2008 @ 8:26 pm In Childrens Health | No Comments

If you are suffering from frequent migraines, chances are that there are certain triggers that set your migraines off. Those could be foods, drinks, smells, or certain chemicals. Once you find out what your particular migraine triggers are, you can then avoid them and reduce the amount of migraines you get.

Just about anything can trigger a migraine, there are some things that seem to frequently be the culprit.

Comment Food Migraine Triggers include alcohol, hot dogs, MSG, aspartame, chocolate, citrus fruits, caffeine, nuts, pickled or smoked fish, dairy, onions, beans and greasy food. Even your medication may be triggering your migraines. Nitroglycerine, histamine, diuretics and asthma medications are all possible migraine triggers.

Hormonal changes like those experienced during menstruation, ovulation and if you are taking hormone supplements can also trigger migraines, as can lack of sleep, skipping meals and physical exertion.

Weather changes, air pollution and smoke as well as bright or flickering light can also be the culprit.

To find out what might be triggering your migraines, keep a journal for a few weeks. Record any food or drink you consumed for any given day and also add a section to note what the weather was like, and any other environmental factors you notice throughout the day, such as spending time in a room with bright or flickering lights.

After a few weeks or months, you should see patterns emerge. Start avoiding some of the things that you tend to eat or that tend to happen right around the time you get your migraines. Obviously there are triggers such as weather changes that you cannot avoid, but you can start to pay closer attention to your body around that time and catch a migraine much earlier.

Knowing what triggers your migraine will help you avoid some of your migraine triggers and allows you to be prepared and take migraine medication earlier when a migraine starts to set in.

Prep and Cook Time:30 min.

Ingredients:

12 Corn tortillas

1 package enchilada sauce mix

1 lb. ground beef

2 tbl. instant minced onion or 1/2 cup chopped fresh onion

2 cups shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese

1/4 cup chopped or sliced black olives

Directions:

In a medium, saucepan prepare enchilada sauce mix as directed on the package. In a large fry pan, brown the ground beef and onion. Drain excess fat. Stir 1/2 cup enchilada sauce into the meat mixture.

To assemble, dip each tortilla into the sauce. Spoon about 2 tbl. Meat mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese down the center of each tortilla. Roll into thirds and place seam side down in a 9 by 13 inch baking dish. When all the tortillas are assembled, pour the remaining sauce over the top. Sprinkle with olives and extra cheese.

Cover with foil; bake for 20 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.

Rating 5 of 5 Stars So easy I have enchilada’s all the time now. The kids love this and make it themselves now.
