Also you can warm a small pot of honey in a double boiler then apply it to your face. To be sure the honey is not too hot it's advisable to test it on your hand first. Leave the mask on your face for 15 minutes. Afterwards rinse with warm, then cool water.

For dry skin, mix one egg yolk, one teaspoon honey and a teaspoon olive oil and some vitamin E oil if you have it. Smooth on and leave on for 15 min. , rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry. Smooth on a soothing, basic moisturizer.

Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes, should follow with a cleansing and a thin layer of moisturizer. Exfoliating mask is also homemade fsacial masks. Mix three tablespoons olive oil or any good oil and one tablespoon kosher salt mix and gently rub into dry skin. Do not use around eye area. This works great on elbows and feet, but it can also be used on cheeks and forehead. Mix green and kaolin clays together. Add in the aloe vera gel, rosewater and oils. Refrigerate mixture for up to four weeks. You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks. If you have oily or acne prone skin, mud or clay-based masks are great for balancing out your skin. Dry skin will benefit from hydrating masks made from glycerin, honey and oils. For oily skin, use a clay-based face mask. For dry skin, go for a hydrating gel or cream mask.
Apply the mask, avoiding the areas around the eyes. Keep it on for 10-20 minutes (or, according to the directions on the product).

Simple Mask for Oily, Acne-Prone Skin. Acne-Prone Skin ingredients is 1 bottle Milk of Magnesia (Paula insists no flavors, please). Apply the Milk of Magnesia to face. If your acne problem is more external, such as skin oil redundancy, enlarged pores or soiling you may achieve good results with simple skin care procedures. Acne masks can be very different and contain different components, but all of them work on the principle: parch skin, move away a skin oil redundancy and confine pores.

All masks should be applied on a clear skin. It is also useful to have a steam bath and to make an additional skin clearance with any soft scrub. Always remember to give a cold water rinse, because the pores which get opened by warm water will get contracted if you rinse off with cold water. You may also prefer ice-cube.
You can use as professional, so homemade masks. Take care! Test all professional masks before applying it on the face. Apply a little on a wrist bend or behind an ear and control your reaction about 15 minutes after washing-off. You should not feel any discomfort or dermal irritation.

You may also try to make acne masks at home by yourself. The main component of these masks is camphor as a perfect anti-inflammatory agent. For acne or oily skin, the very choice camphor offers important anti-bacterial benefits. After cleansing, it helps to rehabilitate skin normal pH balance; it also cures the excess-oil problem and refreshes skin. Camphor also stimulates blood circulation which helps to remove soiling. You may get it in a regular chemists shop.

Acne removing lotion. Mix 1 teaspoon glycerin, 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 cup distilled water, 1/2 teaspoon camphor lotion. Apply this mixture on the face and leave it to dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water. Finally use cold water or an ice-cube.

Apple and honey mask for oily skin with acne problem. Mix one small ground apple with 5 tablespoons of honey. Gently apply on the face and neck, wait for 10 minutes. Wash it off with cool water. You may add some oatmeal into this mixture to enhance an effect.

Acne tomato lotion. Mix 1/2 teaspoon camphor lotion, 1 teaspoon tomato juice, 1 teaspoon honey well and apply this paste on the face. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water, use an ice-cube in the end. It is also very good for removing spots caused by acne.

Acne removing garlic lotion. Take 1 teaspoon fuller Earth, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon carrot juice, 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste. Mix all these together and apply this mask on the face for 20 minutes or more till thorough drying. After that wash off with warm water very carefully. Avoid precipitous movements!
