The Homer Library is highlighting BBW with a display of challenged and banned books from around the country. We are also handing out BBW bookmarks, while supplies last. So visit the display and "celebrate your right to read!" For more information on how area libraries (including the Homer Library!) are highlighting Banned Books Week, you can read this article in the Southtown Star.

Author Fair
The Homer Library is excited to announce that our 4th Annual Author Fair will be held at the library on Monday, October 19th from 7-9pm. Meet the people behind the stories! Throughout the night, local authors will give short talks discussing their books, writing methods, and/or publication process. All authors will have tables throughout the library, at which they will sell and sign their books and also answer questions from patrons. Authors of childrens, teen, and adult books will be at the Author Fair: Norm Cowie, Carolyn Crimi, Philip Kledzik, George Kulles, Lisa Mallen, Helen Osterman, Sheila A. Welch, and Cheryl Woodson. This event is a true celebration of reading and writing, so we hope to see you there!

For more information on library programs, contact (708) 301-7908 or email Heather Colby at hcolby@homerlibrary.org.

Kids Art Club: First Session Cancelled

We regret to announce that the first session of the Kids Art Club, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, has been cancelled.
