I call it a chore because when I was young and in school it was one of the hardest thing I ever had to do. I would do anything I could to get away from reading.

Most of the time the subject matter of the books offered in
class held no interest to me so I had little interest in
reading. I mean, after all, how long can you find joy in
watching Spot run? And I didn't even know Jane or Dick. Why
would I want to read about them?

I also suffered a little dyslexia and the jumbled up letters of
each word were sometimes a little hard to make sense of. I would
need to read some words several times before it made sense.
Sometimes I had to read the entire sentence over and over.

Back then, those many years ago, the teachers didn't have the
time or patience to work with each student and they never knew the problems faced by slow readers.

To read more of this article please click here to visit our website!

Homeschooling and the Family

That’s a lot of children. Once upon a time, homeschooling used to be a radical statement – something like a declaration of independence. It was the conservative Christians who advocated homeschooling in the ’80s and legalized it in every State. But the typical homeschooler of the day is not religiously motivated.

Recent surveys indicate that parents are actually quite fed up of the public school systems where much of the learning is superficial and compulsory. They are also concerned about negative school environment ranging from drugs and abuse to negative peer pressure. As a result, we have a surprising mix of people who form the homeschooling world of today. They cut across all religious and regional borders. Their main aim is providing meaningful and productive learning through a method that strengthens the bond between the various members of the family.
The rest of this article and more information about Homschooling your child on the internet can be found by clicking this sentence or the image located in this blog post.

On-line Educational Sites

They serve to help homeschooling families by providing extra curriculum and tools, when necessary, to allow for a well rounded education. When you have the cash to make such an investment or choose one that is affordable enough to fit your needs, you may end up with a false sense of security that you are actually meeting your child's need to develop independent thinking behaviors. The quest here is to encourage the child to be able to learn and have the desire to learn well beyond the homeschooling atmosphere.
