Children Are The Heartbeat Of The Lord~{GUEST POST}

I am proud to introduce my father-in-law, and Spiritual father of Fan The Fire Ministries, Evangelist Cornelio R. Chacon Sr. along with His wife and my Spiritual mother, Evangelist Marlene Chacon, in my first ever guest post. They are both a blessing to me and my kids' lives, not to mention all who come in contact with them, they truely are living the word of God daily. All of it, not just bits and pieces.

I love this video and post so much I wanted to share it with all of you. One of our callings as parents, teachers and as the body of Christ, is to ensure our children are growing into the spiritual leaders that God wants, and needs for His kingdoms future. This should be top priority over any and all other training. Our children are vital to God and they have an important role to play today and in the future church. They need to be fed properly and I believe Evangelist Cornelio puts it plainly for us to be awakened as parents to what is really important. I hope you will enjoy this video and that it changes your thoughts into the thoughts of God!

We are supposed to be molding and training our Children up with the word not the world. Our Children are the heartbeat of God. Children are molded by their surroundings, look at what your children are surrounded by and you will see what they will soon be. If your child is surrounded by prayer, meditation, peace, love and joy they will be Spirit strong. If your child is surrounded by strife, anger, sorrow, and selfishness than they will be soul strong. The more you fill your child with love, prayer and the word of God the easier they will grow in the spirit and in relationship with Jesus because that was how they were molded.

I know they say that children are the future, but that is not entirely true they are the present also, so pay attention to what is being fed to them today because it matters. They have to be taught the ways of the Spirit, trained in their gifts and callings daily. In order for this to happen we as parents and grandparents have to be constantly changing and learning, praying, seeking and asking Holy Spirit for guidance in our own walk. It starts in us and continues in them and their children’s children. Then we will have given them the best thing a parent could give their child a real, true, spirit relationship with Jesus that will go on for eternity! Praise God!

My love, we were destined and set apart for great things. You and I have been through a lot of good times and tough times over these 8 short years. God continues to change and renew our love through it all. We have grown together and we are sealed forever. Although we are still changing and growing in different ways everyday throughout all the many stages of life I am confident in our love and our passion for our marriage and who we are in Christ and I know in and through Him we can do anything and nothing can come between us.

We are so blessed with true love for each other, 3 amazing daughters and a wonderful family always having our back. My promise to you is to always stay true and to never give up, even when things seem impossible we serve an almighty God whom makes all things possible. You can always count on me to keep you covered and lifted in prayer daily.

CAN YOU HEAR HIM?

JESUS is calling you back to Him away from the little distractions that steal your gaze. He wants you to seek His face. He wants you to be in constant communion with Him, always relying on Him. He wants you to believe Him, to trust in Him. He wants more of you. Can you hear Him?

Holy Spirit wants to be important to you. He wants to be more than your Sunday friend. He wants to be there for more than just the end. He wants to be your healer, your provider, your comforter, your father, your brother, your best friend-your everything-beginning thru to end. Can You hear Him?

He has miracles waiting for you. Gifts for you to possess. Power He’s given you to use. He wants your authentic confession of love. He has new mercies for you everyday. He has forgiveness for every sin. He want to be the first one you turn to in need and the first one you tell of your joy. Can you hear Him?

Tot Tuesday~{free-bird} 22 months

Welcome again friends~ We have been so busy with everything we didn’t have any planned tot school this week but nevertheless that doesn’t seem to stop my teeny tiny tot from staying busy. Her favorite spot is getting things out of my drawers, she would much rather play with flashcards or manipulatives than toys any day! So I am constantly cleaning up magnetic letters, dice, dolphin erasers,flashcards etc.

Here’s a pic of her in action with the flashcards…She always takes them all out and lays them flat around her then she attempts to put them back in one by one which usually results in a lot of tears and frustration if she can’t get the card to stay straight and go in right away, but she doesn’t give up she gets it done

Here is her doing another one of her faves…building! She loves to see how high she can get before they topple over.

It is such a joy watching her grow, but yet it saddens me to see the baby grow right out of her and to know you can’t get these moments back But alas we keep moving and growing and keeping Jesus as the center of everything! We are so blessed to be alive in Christ and walking in His love, joy and peace everyday is priceless! So thankful!

Tot Tuesday~{Water Sensory Fun} 21 months

Hello, Hope you have all been enjoying your toddlers…I know I have. Her and I have a lot of fun together playing, learning and laughing. This is a key time to teach them about God and their surroundings, it’s never to early to start teaching your child on purpose, cause really even though you aren’t saying you are having school, really you are everyday in everything you do. So have some fun with it and plan some special time for just you and your tot to have purposeful playtime.

I have been so blessed with great kids. This week we had fun in the water. In the past my older girls have done a sink water sensory activity, but for my teeny tiny tot, I decided to keep her on the floor. So I found a shallow tub and filled it with water, bath toys, funnels, cups and measuring cups. I would have put bubbles in too, but Jordan doesn’t like them…lol! She had so much fun…Splashing, filling, pouring and making a huge mess…She loved it!

Tot Tuesday-{Stick it & Sort it} 21 Months

Hello and welcome to the first addition of Tot Tuesday…Yep It’s tot school time. We are so excited to be starting up tot school again. I really enjoy setting aside special mommy-Jordan time. She is probably the most [I-Can-do-it-myself] independent toddler.

What we did~

Sticker pages
All you need is a lot of stickers and a blank piece of paper. I peel and bend the bottom up of each sticker, so little hands can still work, but not get frustrated. We try to only use big stickers. FunFunFun

Blue & Green Sort

All you need is 2 dishes and 2 different colored items to sort. We used blue and green pom poms they are soft and easy to grasp. We only do 2 colors to start out sorting and then we will eventually work up to several. Decide which bowl is for green and which bowl is for blue. Let them know when they put the wrong color in a bowl and soon they will be doing it right after a few tries. It took Jordan a while but once she got it she didn’t allow the wrong color in the wrong bowl. Have fun and make it a fun game.

Staying in God's Flow

In the realm of the spirit things are moving fast and frequent! If you aren't tuned in to the frequency of the Lord you are certain to miss something. In my life I am ever changing in the Lord..Daily! I believe if your paradigm doesn't change you are not in the will of God! We can always do better, get closer to God, praise more, reach higher, pray more, give more, complain less and the list goes on and on.... And none of this in a striving way but a consistent gain so to speak.

For quite some time now I have felt the nudging of the Lord to change the name and the feel of my blog. This nudge became a lot stronger recently, so to stay in the will of God I am revamping my whole blog. This will not be a fast change, but most likely a slow little by little change. Cause I am a busy momma and this is not my top priority by any means.

I am beyond excited to see where God is taking me with this and I am willing and able to follow His will for my life in every area. So hopefully you will all stick around to see the new and improved formerly known as "Kingdom First Homeschool"{sigh} now "Seeking Kingdom First" in full effect for the Glory of God. Came about the name quite easily...lol! It is our motto in everyday life not just homeschool! God Bless!

Your Will.. Not Mine

My father, Lord of all, that has anointed me and nourished me with Your word to do Your will and walk in Your way. Thank You for blessing us with another day to share Your love and Your light with all who are willing to accept it and allow it to overtake them.

Holy Spirit lead me into all truth this day and everyday. Fill me with You and empty me of myself. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on the throne and not to look, to the right or to the left, but to be set like flint on Your call in my life.

Father remove every distraction the enemy brings forth and all the little foxes that try to intervene with our love. Unlock all of Your mysteries that are already alive in my Spirit, but allow my soul to know them too.

Father let Your anointing to flow like a river through, to and from me. I want to freely give Your healing, love and wholeness as it has been given of me. Use me for Your mighty works. I give Your Holy spirit complete control of my will to line up with Yours.

Allow every work that I do for you to prosper abundantly and speedily. Bring forth Your ministry in it's fullness of You.- Fan the Fire Ministries. You said it Yourself this is a God ordained ministry, ordained wholly by You. This ministry has been set apart for only Your purposes. Use this ministry for Your MIGHTY WORK! Use this ministry to crush every plan of satan to steal, kill and destroy Your beautiful children! Let Your awesome will be done. All for Your Glory.

I set a heavenly seal upon this prayer that it comes forth suddenly in the name of Jesus.-amen

Little Hearts For His Glory~18-19

So we have had a VERY busy 2 weeks of lessons. Although I didn’t manage to take any pictures:( [I guess I just needed a break from my camera…lol]!

Our LHFHG lessons over these two weeks covered a lot -- Stephen getting stoned for talking about Jesus, and the realities of what Christians before us had to go through so that we could have the freedom to share Jesus freely today. We talked about the kind woman Dorcas who helped the poor, that when she died Peter prayed and God raised her from the dead…Amazing!

We learned how the cruel King Herod killed Christians because the Jewish leaders didn’t like them, but really they were jealous and threatened by them. Next Peter was in prison and freed by an angel. Paul and Silas were put in prison for preaching the gospel, this is one of my favorite history stories, I just thought it was amazing how God SHOOK the place and all the doors fell off and the chains were broken off of the prisoners, then the prison guard thought that they had all escaped so he was just getting ready to take his own life and Paul yelled no don’t harm yourself we are still here and then they prayed with the man and he got saved! Glory to God! We learned a lot more about other martyrs and the hardships of the Christians before us and the miraculous and wonderful ways God moved through the early years of the church.

Also during these two weeks we had a snow day we built a snowman and a snow fort AND the girls started Karate which is 3 times a week and they are loving it. We are taking a short break from gymnastics, but they will be starting again in March.

Jasmine’s reading has been moving slowly and honestly I don’t want to go through the long HOP program with her like I did Jada. It is just so slow and long and really unnecessary. So I ordered The Reading Lesson which I heard of through Jessica over at Our Family For His Glory. We purchased the book and the cd rom which was downloadable and has animated games and activities that coincide with each lesson. Also we have been moving through All About Spelling together, which is challenging because Jada and Jasmine are on two different levels, but we have tweaked and they are moving side by side…yay!

That was our 2 week catch-up. Always remember if you put God first in everything you do it will always turn out better than if you hadn’t. He wants to be involved in your homeschool and will bless you and bring you to new heights through Him. Don’t try to make your class a carbon copy of someone else’s class or put pressure on yourself to teach like they do in the school systems. Little Hearts For His Glory~Week 17

What a blessed week we had! We did our normal studies and I added in a few winter theme extras. We continue on working through LHFHG and we have learned a lot. We finished up unit 17.

Some of the things covered in this unit were Jesus appearing a lot of different times in the 40 days after He rose from the tomb and how everyone reacted to see Him really alive although He had a body that could now walk through doors and walls, it was still Jesus. They saw and touched His scars, Thomas was the biggest doubter and Jesus told Him that he believes cause he can see, but blessed will those be that have not yet seen yet believe…That’s us!! Glory!

Jesus told everyone to teach each other the truths of His death and resurrection after He leaves, to preach the gospel to everyone then He blessed them and ascended into the heavens. We talked about before Jesus left He promised that He would send a helper the Holy Spirit. We learned about the day of Pentecost and how the Holy Spirit came with fire and anointing for all who believe.

{Jasmine} worked through these winter activities I printed from HERE. The first activity was snowman ordering, Next Winter Prewriting, and then a cute snowman puzzle. Lot’s of other activities in this free pack to choose from.

One of the greatest history lessons ever is the day of Pentecost when God sends the Holy Spirit with fire and anointing for all of us to receive Holy Spirit and all the gifts of the Spirit and this was not just for the disciples this is not power that passed away with the church of Acts, this power is available to all of us today and forever if you believe.

The girls drew and colored the people during Pentecost, next we ripped red, yellow and orange paper to look like fire. Then we glued fire coming from heaven and fire on their heads and fire in their spirit which represents the Holy Spirit in us today.

Little Hearts For His Glory~Weeks 15 & 16

What a great vacation we had! Lot’s of fun family time and a little adventure too. I have been sooo busy that my postings have fell short of the norm. This is why I am posting 2 weeks together in hopes to catch up.

Week 15 was only a three day school week, but in order to keep things going as planned I had to squeeze a 5 day unit into 3 days not an easy task, but we managed to pull it off! During week 15 we learned a lot about the life and ministry of Jesus which is nothing short of amazing He walked in perfect love, Lazarus’ death and resurrection his sisters Mary & Martha, Zaccheus the short tax collector who climbed a tree to see Jesus and the favor he received because of it. We did a painting to go along with this.

We learned how Jesus drove out the men buying and selling and disrespecting the temple. So awesome to see the righteous anger of Jesus when He saw what was going on in the temple, can’t imagine what He would do today if He were actually invited into half the churches in the world, but that’s a whole other post for some other time. Here are a few pics from week 15

Yay…Painting! As I told you earlier we learned about Zaccheus, how he climbed the tree to see Jesus. LHFHG had this cute paint project to do. Brown paint, green paint, powdered dish/laundry detergent, paper, paintbrush, and a paper towel. Mix the brown paint with the powder to add texture and have them paint the branches and trunk of the tree{for Jasmine I lightly traced a tree for her) with the paint brush, next give them green paint and a paper towel scrunched up have them dip and dab to make the leaves.

Week 16

In week 16 we talked about Mary and how she poured perfume on Jesus’ feet to show Him how much she loved Him and we talked about the sacrifices we can make in our daily life like making the choice to pray or talk with Him and put down the video game or in just following Holy Spirit’s nudge to do or NOT do something. In little ways like this we can be a blessing to Jesus and walk out of it being blessed ourselves.

We talked about how to pray and we learned from Jesus how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. There’s a lot of power in these few passages! Amazing! We talked about the last supper and the power in communion then we did communion and praise and worship. I love it when the glory of God comes in and takes over my classroom!

The Garden of Gethsemane was another lesson for the week so amazing how Jesus walked in pure love with the soldiers and healed the man’s ear even though he was there to hurt Him! He didn’t hesitate to heal His enemy. I truly believe this is one of the main reasons the majority of the church walks powerless today we hold grudges, we hate our enemies, we don’t know how to forgive, we turn away the sinners, we walk in false religious veils. Jesus forgave you before you sinned. He died for you for all sins past, present and future! He loves you no matter what. He never had to work to forgive anyone it was just instantaneous because He loved!!

Our lessons this week took us through the crucifixion of our LORD and on through to the great day of His Resurrection. It has been such a blessing to go through these moments in history with my children through the guiding of the Holy Spirit. These are the lessons in history that have made us who we are and what we stand for. We have learned a lot this week about love and the power of love.

It saddens me to know that not everyone knows this kind of love and if I could say one thing to you if you are a person that doesn’t live your life enlightened and empowered by the love of God, It is never to late. Say to yourself you are ready, ready to change your life and your children’s lives and put a stop to the anger, sorrow and pain. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and never look back. Get into a spirit filled church that walks in the power of the Holy Spirit and start praying and reading the word of God everyday. You are a spirit being created by God He has a purpose and a calling on your life find out what that calling is and move into it. Never look back at who you were, you are a new creation in Him now, forgive everyone including yourself. If you need anything let me know my email me at forestrose@ymail.com. We are now on our fourth chapter book here are a couple of Jada’s journal entries.

Jasmine working out of our fast finisher box. This is something new I started this week. This is a box compiled of puzzles in Ziplocs, this marker board, books, busy bags, and etc. this is for the one who finishes there work before I am ready to move on with them.

This is an impromptu idea I just came up with while looking in my drawer of manipulative items. 1 die, 6 blocks or any other item. Have the child roll the die, here Jasmine rolled 6 I had her put 6 blocks in a line, next she rolled 4 so she had to take away 2 to make 4. She loved it! Simple yet challenging for a 4 year old. For an older child you could add more blocks and another die.

I’ve talked about before my challenges with my girls and math and I am happy to say things are looking up Jada has been doing amazing and moving quickly through her lessons now. As long as she focuses she can do the work. Praise God this has been a block for us for some time now and glory to God progress is here.

Anything’s possible

Well it's time to say goodbye…goodbye to sleeping in and staying up late...Yep it's back to school time! Although the girls are not ready for vacation to be over, mama is! I love the routine, I love the plan in place. I'll miss having extra time to do all my put off projects, but it is worth it to get back to normalcy. Everything runs smoother when you have a plan in place.

I have a shiny, reorganized school room and lots of ideas for the year, so I am excited to see what God has in store for us in 2012...It's going to be amazing I know it. I am filled with the thrill of a new year and a fresh start. There’s just something awesome about knowing anything is possible with God!! Thanks to all my readers for your words of encouragement and for blessing me with comments and emails. I love it!! Hope you all have an amazing year! May your path be a blessed one!

I recently changed browsers and I noticed I had a weird pop-up appear when I clicked on my blog, saying you are an Indiana winner...hmm. And another thing sometimes I hear a women in the background talking, selling something this is also not me. I am not selling anything, nor am I running a contest. Little Hearts For His Glory~Week 14

Here we are again for another end of week post..LHFHG has been taking us through the life and ministry of Jesus. We have learned a lot about our Lord and His life on this earth and how amazing He is! He is still so amazing because as we all know He is still very much alive in the flesh at the right hand of the father and is very much alive in us as believers! I am so thankful that my children and I know Him personally.

Throughout His life here on earth He was nothing short of awesome. As we walked through history this week we’ve learned so much about the extravagant love, peace and faith He walked in and to sum it up…WOW! He has not one ounce of selfishness or fear in Him. He is faith, love, hope, joy, peace, honor, purity. He loved everyone He came in contact with, even those that wanted to hurt Him.

During this time of year as we celebrate His birth we are truly blessed by the greatest gift, the gift of true love and the gift of sight, we no longer live life blinded to the reality of our purpose which is our relationship with Him and with each other. If anything, I want my children to really understand how important it is that we have the honor to serve an amazing God and friend. It is such a blessing as a mother to see my children carry the light of God for all to see and I know that God has a great purpose for them to change the lives of many. Thank You Lord!

Jada has been doing great in listening skills, When I read the chapter book to them or any book for that matter, I tell them to listen with their eyes, ears and heart. Jada has been listening and answering questions correctly. She’s really listening…Yay! Here are a couple of her journal entries.

They love anything that has to do with baby Jesus so when I saw THESE I knew we had to add them in.

I found this Christmas tree which came with a printable scripture also. Ezekiel 31:7 So the tree was great and beautiful, with its’ branches. Its’ long roots reached down to the many waters.

These are cute Roll-Gingerbread man. They enjoyed rolling the dice and drawing each part of the gingerbread man. Jasmine beat Jada by a leg..lol.

Change Your Atmosphere

Have you ever seen your child do something naughty and it reminded you of yourself or your spouses behavior? Unfortunately this is a reality in our house sometimes. I'll see my oldest daughter talking to her little sister in a wrong way and say oh that sounds like something I would say...eek, I gotta quit saying that or acting like that!

Our kids can only do what they see us do...They learn from who we are and what we do more than what we try to teach them. I am constantly checking and rechecking how I act in front of my kids with my spouse or with other people. It is vital that we know what spirit we are walking in at all times we are either choosing the enemies character or God's character. We need to be aware of fear, anger, selfishness, wrong attitudes, unbelief and doubt.

When Jesus walked on the earth He walked in complete confidence of who He was and still is, God's son incarnate{embodied in flesh}. He was a man of GREAT character. He loved, He laughed, He healed, He taught, He did nothing, but what the father showed Him to do. John 5:19 says Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. This scripture speaks a lot to me-obedience, honor, integrity, love, strength, anointing, power, faith, and trust in the father. These are all the characteristics I would love my home realm to be and also the realm of God we walk with when we leave the house.

If we were to actually put this principal of only doing what the father tells us to do, we would fill our homes with only peace, love and joy because that is the character and atmospheric realm of God. Wouldn't that be amazing to always be filled with the peace and love of the father. We actually can...Yes I said it! We can! If we make the decision today to follow God's will and not our own we will break off every wrong characteristic that our children are now learning from us. They will be raised in complete love, joy, peace, faith and obedience. Wow can you imagine the anointing! wooo! I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Glory!! So let's make a pact to only do what the father tells/shows us to do and break off all the characteristics of the enemy in our household. It’s never to late all things are possible to them that believe! Believe, trust and wait on the Lord, He will guide you!

Moments to Remember~Pencil Grip

"Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember.

The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember."

My little lady Jordan now 18.5 months, has been rapidly growing up before my eyes. She is moving so fast! I’ve always heard your baby is the fastest to grow of course I’m gonna be reluctant to believe that, yep but I am just now coming out of denial! She is moving leaps and bounds! I truly think it is a ploy to catch up with her big sisters. She watches them and learns immediately. Amazing!!

The other day during school the older girls were working on their journals, so I gave Jordan a piece of paper and a pencil to doodle…To my amazement she held her pencil the proper way! Now this may seem small to some a yall, but I was stunned. So there it is my moment to remember for this week. My little lady and her perfect pencil grip!! No joke! Check it out!

Little Hearts for His Glory~Weeks 12 & 13

So I’m going to try to make this as short and sweet as possible, just so I can catch up on my wrap-ups. Our homeschool has been going amazing…I truly believe this is the best decision I ever made in my life!! {No exaggeration} Yes most days are hard, but I would not replace a single one, cause with every trial comes GREAT reward! And we have truly found a way to even rejoice during our trials and seek God out for the solution. Current trial being math, neither of my girls like it at all! I’ve tried many different techniques, but they don’t get it and don’t want to. So I press on seeking God first in every area, yes, math included and I will wait on Him for an answer. So all that said here are a few pics from weeks 12 and 13.

They made these beaded wreath ornaments-

Things you’ll need:

beads
pipe cleaner
bow

Bead the pipe cleaner, twist the ends together to form a circle, and fasten a bow and done.

Paper stockings are a must for Christmas craft..We do one every year. This one takes me back to my early years.

What you’ll need:

Construction paper
Yarn or ribbon
Hole puncher
Beads
Stickers, glitter etc.

Cut out 2 stockings for each child, hole punch all around the edges, lace the yarn through

each hole starting at top going all the way around and ending at top {tape the end of yarn so it doesn’t fray} bead ends of each yarn piece and tie a bow. decorate with stickers, glitter etc. Now you can hang it up and place some goodies in it.

I am so amazed with my daughters and the strong, unbreakable bond that they share, specifically on this day, a day to remember. On this particular day we were finished with school and Jada was eager, not eager to learn, but eager to teach, she wanted to teach her sister. It is difficult for Jasmine, because she is the younger yet equal sister, to understand why her big sis Knows how to read better than her. So Jada hopped in and took on the task of teaching Jasmine to read. I let Jada go and do whatever she wanted to do with her and I just watched in amazement and of course snapped a few pics cause in was so darn cute!! She came up with a lesson plan and here are some pictures to tell the story. enjoy!!

Hello to all I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Holiday. We enjoyed time with family and we were blessed beyond measure! Love the turkey…mmm mmm good. Well week 11 was great we covered a lot and had a tons of fun. I know this is kinda late, but I’m running behind on my posting…lol. We continue to move through LHFHG, All about Spelling, HOP, HOM(Jada) and Funnix beginning math(Jasmine). I usually only take pics of the extra’s we do so here are a few.

I Lift my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy. Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt. We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant of contempt from the proud. -Psalm 123 {NIV}

I lift my eyes to You LORD! I love You my sweet LORD! Though all seem to come against who I am in You I hear Your still small voice inside me telling me "hold on sweet child I am with you." You always warn me of the attacks that lie ahead and give me confidence to stand against the contempt that tries to come against me. Thank You for Your strong protecting hand that always brings me out without even the smell of smoke upon me. GLORY!

I lift my eyes to You LORD! No matter how many times I fall or sin You never attack me in anger or turn Your back to me, You always correct me gently and are quick to forgive. Thank You for Your mercies new each and everyday.

I lift my eyes to You LORD! Though it may seem like lack is a constant and we never have enough to survive at times You always come through with more than enough! Thank you LORD for your provision according to Your riches and Glory and that my table is filled with the bread from heaven each and everyday!

My heart is filled with Your true love each and everyday. My house is filled with Your joy, filled with Glory each and everyday. My faith and my strength are growing in You each and everyday. My hands are filled with Your anointing each and everyday. Sickness has a hard time staying on us more each and everyday. The blinded and proud that come against me are battling You my LORD, my God, The KING of KINGS each and everyday.

Thank You for the Holy Spirit, my friend that gently, but firmly guides, comforts, and strengthens my spirit man. Thank you for Your angels that You have given me for protection and to get the job done. I will keep my eyes fixed on you LORD. When You look at me You weep with love and joy. Fill me more and seal me with Your love and Your Joy overflowing. I will carry You with me like a flame forever. Use me to fulfill Your master plan. Bring my will into the obedience of Your will so they line up for the completion of Your Kingdom. Keep me humbled in all I do for You and under Your mighty hand. All glory to You LORD!

Little Hearts for His Glory~Week 10

Less is more right…This is going to be a quick wrap-up this week. Although we did a lot this week I took pictures of little!

We continue on in LHFHG which has been going really well although I tend to skip a lot and add a lot of my own, I don’t know if this is just habit or something else altogether. Along with LHFHG I add workbooks, crafts and other activities I find around the web by all you ladies or things I have created and have on hand.

We have just finished our second chapter book The Adventures of Peter Cottontail and we are beginning our third.. The Adventures of Danny Meadow Mouse.

The ladies have gymnastics weekly and this week we began a reading group at the library. We stay busy everyday and the girls are enjoying most of it. The Holy Spirit is our guide daily and we are learning to be yielded to what God wants us to do daily.

A little impromptu 2 part sorting activity I threw together. 1-Sort paperclip by color in the bowls 2- sort on the paper I just clipped each color of paperclip to the top and drew lines…easy peasy!

Chalkboard painting~Early handwriting

Hello lovelies…I have had such a reaction to this activity that I thought I would finally do a post focused directly on this fun way to write.

**All you need is a chalkboard, chalk, water in a cup and a paintbrush, oh and a rag to wipe after each word is finished.

Either you or your child writes a letter, word, shape, number or even a squiggly line on the chalkboard, get creative here. Then comes the fun part- trace it with a paintbrush dipped in water…My girls LOVE this and could do it for a long, long time. Have fun painting!!

Little Hearts For His Glory~Week 9

Hello to all our wonderful friends, I really enjoy sharing with you what God has been teaching us through our homeschool. I hope these updates have been helpful and a blessing to you!! I love Comments so please leave one, thanks! {Especially if you are a new follower here}

Morning routine: Morning board over breakfast, Praise and Worship, prayer, bible reading and discussion.

Scripture: Philippians 3:14 In everything you do stay away from complaining and arguing.

~This is a big problem in our house {all parties included, yep even me} So we took this further and did a whole unit study on this, which was amazing. We really dug into the problem through the word of God and are getting to the root of the thing. We stop and pray a lot through out our day whenever these bad attitudes pop up and try to take over. As long as we continue to go against, and not accept these uncontrolled emotions we will have victory in the end..HA!

History: Elijah and Elisha, God heals Naaman HIS way, Jonah in the belly of the whale, and Joash and Josiah the two very young kings of Judah.

Phonics: Hooked on Phonics-Kindergarten (Jada is close to the end, Jasmine is in the beginning)

Character of the week: Loving: John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

~We discussed this a lot…We talked about how Jesus loves us, he sacrificed himself for us and how we could bring this into our household to have this type of love in our realm. It was really amazing to see the girls giving more and being reminded by the Holy Spirit throughout their day to sacrifice for each other….AWESOME!

Science: The World God Made included in our LHFHG

All About Spelling: Mastering the phonograms and segmenting words.

Math: Funnix Beginning math for Jasmine and HOM and Singapore Early Bird Math 2A for Jada which was included in LHFHG.

What we are reading: Psalms and The Adventures of Peter Cottontail daily.

Journal-time: Jada draws a picture and writes a story everyday after we read our above chapter book. Jasmine just draws a picture and maybe writes one word.
