Christmas is Just Around the Corner

Tomorrow is the start of the "Ber" months. Here in the Philippines, it's the unofficial start of the Christmas season. Oh yes, we celebrate Christmas the longest among the other countries :-) And for good reason, Filipinos love to celebrate and with it comes the gift giving and sharing of Christmas joys. Filipinos also love spending time with extended families and close friends. The 1st of September is also the day that you'll start to hear Christmas songs being played on various radio stations, so, it's really "beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go!" It adds to the joyous feeling, believe me!

Lately, I've been busy with the new designs for my notepads. I also introduced my new product, the MATCHBOOK NOTEPAD. These are great because you can easily put them inside your purse or bag, and you can use them to jot down important notes, or contact numbers of people you meet. These are also great as giveaways for weddings, birthdays, or your kids' teachers.

Coming up with Gift Sets

I got a lot of inquiries on whether I'll offer gift sets in my store. So, last weekend, I checked on the packaging that I can use for the gift sets, and right now I'm just thinking of the combinations that I will put inside the boxes.

I'm thinking of the 8x5 notepads, 4x5 notepads, some gift tags and a pen. It can also be 4x5 notepads, gift tags, notecards/flatcards, and a pen. I'm also open to suggestions, just let me know what combination you need and I'll give you the cost.

Stick Figures

Stick figures are really cute for notepads, so, I decided to add them to my designs. You might want to check them out in my site. They're great not only for notepads but also for invitations and notecards as well. Actually, just about anything, you can even have it on your gift tags. Late Nights

My Multiply store has been around for quite some time now, but it's only this year that I really put my heart into it. I've been promoting it lately and have been rewarded with a steady increase in visitors who leave comments as well as personal messages. I also concentrated on adding more business contacts. My efforts paid off because I now have several orders to fill-up. I'm so happy although I have to sleep late for several nights in a row just to be able to finish the items on time.

I hope business will continue to improve, as I plan to add more items, layouts and designs to my albums.

Cupcakes have been popular in birthday parties recently. There are lots of flavors and designs to choose from, and they're really cute and you almost wouldn't want to eat them. So, you were probably thinking, is there a better way of presenting it to your guests, other than it's usual wrapper?

More Personalized Notepads for You

I have made a few more layouts for personalized notepads, and this time, instead of putting just my name on it, I've put different names which can also serve as the template ID just in case you want to order any of it. That's for easy reference :) I haven't had any progress yet with the other items that I offer, like the gift tags and personalized tags, hopefully this weekend I can prepare more samples.

Personalized calendars are also on my working table, and I'm still thinking of nice layouts and templates for them. I should be able to come up with layouts for calendars by this month in preparation for the Christmas season.

Too many things to do and too many ideas on my mind, the problem is how I can squeeze it in between my being a working mom and a homemaker. But for the meantime, here are more notepad layouts for you.

Personalized Notepads

How would like to have your name on the notepad or memopad that you use?

I've made a few layouts for personalized memopads and I'm now offering these in my Multiply Store. And who can resist seeing their own names printed on paper? No one! So, I'm sure these would also become great gifts for your friends and loved ones. Or you can also use these as giveaways for your child's next birthday party, or even for your own wedding. The possibilities are endless! You just need your imagination to make these more functional for your own use.

I'm still working on more designs, which hopefully I'll be able to finish in a few days. But of course, this is a continuous process, as more ideas pop into my mind, more designs will also come out of it.

What Do You Think?

I'm thinking of ways on how to make my embossed cards more saleable. I've made several batches already, 10 pcs per pack, with 5 designs per pack. I made a theme per pack, like, birthdays and wedding, but I also made an all-occasion set. Then, I got suggestions from several people that I should make more sets of all-occasion or generic tags and cards because not all of them give out gifts during birthdays and there are only few weddings that a person might attend in a year.

So, I was thinking, why not just let the people choose which design they prefer, and then tell them, they can choose 6 designs for a set of 12 pcs per pack. I think, this is much better. So, that's what I'll do. I'll post the available designs that I currently have, and then let my prospective buyers choose the designs that they want.

OK, that's my next project this weekend.

More Embossed Tags For You

I have made more embossed tags using my embossing machine. It was so fun to do, even my kids enjoy doing it. In fact, they were really the ones excited when I bought the machine! They use it for their school projects and whenever there are occasions within the family and even for their friends' birthdays.

Good thing I was able to take photos of my finished products, because only a few of them are left. So, I still have to concentrate on doing new sets and included in my list of additional supplies to buy are more papers.

Embossed Gift Tags

Finally, after several months of procrastinating in doing handmade cards, I have now finished a few samples to post in my Multiply store. I guess, what's important in any project is to have that push to get you started, and then everything will really go smoothly. Well, in this aspect, actually not really smoothly, because I still have a lot of things to learn.

These are just a few of my initial samples, and I know I can improve on my craft over time. Just give me a few more weeks of doing some research and some layouts and brainstorming on more ideas and designs.

These can be used as tags for your gifts, and you can just write your message at the back to make it more personal. Or you can give it as a gift in itself, and can be used as a a bookmark by your gift recipient.
