If you like taking photos then my guess is you probably enjoy editing them as well! Okay, maybe that was a long shot? I know a lot of us like to take photos but then they just sit in a folder on our computers until we “get around” to actually editing, printing and sharing them either hanging them up or mailing them off to family. Am I right?!

So, my solution is to make it more FUN when editing photos! I use a few different great photo editing software’s only problem is they can be expensive. I have them because I use them for my business of web design. So it’s really an investment for me. And I know if you’re a photographer the you’ll have a software or two yourself.. BUT what about those who have no need for an expensive photo editing software.

You may have been familiar with Picnik but it no longer exists. But no need to worry there are other fun sites that offer what Picnik offered.

Sometimes if I’m not on my main computer that has all my programs on it I will jump on one of these free sites and edit a photo and it comes out awesome and it’s quick and fun too! You can pay for the extras on these sites if you want but it’s not necessary to crop or re-size and there are plenty of  fun effects like editing the contrast, brightness, changing the color, adding a boarder or text.

Lady Bug always wants to use the kiddie shopping carts when we go to the grocery store.

Don’t want to heat up your kitchen by boiling your corn on the cob? Cook it in the crockpot instead! It fast & simple!

1. I leave mine in the husks but I wash and cut off the tops.
2. Put them in the crockpot cover with water put the lid on.
3. Cook on high for 2 hours.

3 simple steps and while you fold some laundry, help your kids with their homework then prepare and cook up the rest of the nights dinner before you know it the corn on the cobs will be done!

To me it is the prefect way to cook corn on the cob. It’s not soggy or mushy it comes out excellent and it’s tasty too!

Everyone has an old basket but you’ll also need your favorite color spray paint, for this project silver was used. So grab your glue gun,  a little lace and flower fun!

I won’t go through a step by step detail because as we like to say pictures speak a thousand words.

It’s fun to get crafty and make something old into something new!

A quick little update -

We are getting ready for this heat to ease up a bit so we can do some fun projects on the outside of our house. The home school year just started for us so you can expect to see some fun homeschooling posts! The kids are excited to have school back on. We are thinking about doing round year homeschooling because the summer break seems to be to long of a break. The kids are starting a new online home school curriculum. But I’ll save all that for a home school post. We’ve been so busy we haven’t had the chance to read our friends blogs or visit our favorite sites and link up to others parties. I hope things will slow down a bit and we can get back into the grove of “normal” day life. If that’s possible? LOL!

Hi everyone!

I’m so sorry we didn’t have the link party this week! We had to cancel because we’ve been running thin on time! Please forgive us! We will have the party this coming week! With the new school year starting we have been busy getting ready!

We also have been dealing with a ton of spam! I know a lot of you have a captcha turned on to prevent it. But I really was hoping I wouldn’t have to resort to that…*SIGH* but with 200+ spam comments to weed through a day…It’s really becoming to much! To be honest some days I’m afraid to login because I don’t know what I’ll be faced with next! LOL!
