Shadowblade is a very versatile hero that may be built effectively in many different ways.&lt;br /&gt;

This guide is for a specific build of Shadowblade which starts off with more ganking and staying power in lane and transitions into an intelligence based carry late game.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Maxing Gargantuan's Blast first gives very solid survivability and allows you to engage into a battle with less fear of taking damage. It is important to put one point into Feint's Siphon and Soul's Sight for the movement, clearvision, and ranged attack which are necessary when ganking.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When you get your first level of Essence Shift, you should use it on a strength hero to give you even more survivability and allow your steamboots to be on strength and give you damage.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt;As the game progresses and you finish your Harkon's Blade, you should use Essence Shift on an intelligence hero to grant Soul's Sight a bigger boost in damage. After you create your Harkon's Blade, depending on your game situation either a Kuldra's Sheepstick or Null Stone are good choices.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Remember to not be afraid to switch your build to strength if you are finding that you need more survivability, or agility if you would rather carry with a different build.&lt;br /&gt;

You have all made matchmaking a success and it is only fitting that we continually try to improve upon our system to get it to where it needs to be. Although during the past year we have made many improvements to our system, the community has raised questions and asked for changes to be made in order to create a better matchmaking experience. In light of these requests we have taken some of the most pressing issues related to matchmaking and will be addressing them in a patch this week on December 9th, 2011. Along with many other features we've been working hard on, this patch will also include a complete matchmaking re-work. This re-work includes changes across all areas of matchmaking:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- The "Average Wait Time" displayed when waiting for a match should now be much more accurate.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- Group leaders can now select whether they prefer to have a shorter queue time or a fairer match when queueing for matchmaking, this option can be changed without leaving the matchmaking queue.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- Introduced a "Provisional Ranking Period" for new players that will facilitate adjusting them to their true skill level (whether higher or lower) much faster than before.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- Players with team members who have been terminated should lose less points for a loss, and gain more points for a win.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- Made numerous changes to the way MMR is calculated such as how many points players gain or lose each match, how match predictions are calculated between two potential teams when searching for a matchup, and many other changes to the backend calculations that should make the MMR progression much more accurate in predicting and placing a player at their true MMR rating.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- Optimizations to the matchmaking algorithm that should reduce queue times across the board.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- The game lobby and hero select screens now show match gain/loss values with more precision as it is now possible to gain/lose fractional amounts of MMR.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;- All players will have their Normal and Casual MMR compressed towards 1500. Take for example a player with Normal MMR of 1700, and Casual MMR of 1600. dealing even more damage to it. You can also use it to jump over buildings.
Since the building cannot be pushed back, the Monkey King leaps even further

ultimate passively lowers the cooldonw on his spells. In fact, the cooldown on
a spell gets lower for every next spell he casts.&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

combined in nice chains. I would recommend having at least one point on each at
the start. Heavenly Vault is the highest burst damage ability in the game if
performed correctly and probably should be max’ed first. The Illusive Dash
seems perfect for initiations during the laning phase and setting up early
kills, so you may want to add some points to it. Before you get the ultimate at
level 6, think about if you really need it so early.&lt;/div&gt;

time to increase his damage output. Consider Shrinken Head, Null-Stone,
Frostburn, Abusuve Skull.&lt;/div&gt;
