Oh, he definitely doesn’t need the money. It’s estimated that he made up to 400 million bucks from his MCU movie appearances. He had a percentage of gross which brought his pay up to as much as 75 million on Infinity War and Endgame. There’s nothing stopping them from staying with Kang and just using time travel/multiverse shenanigans to explain it. We already have two Reeds that look different once the FF movie comes out. Not an issue! Even if you switch to Doom as your big villain going forward, he’s one of the few villains where you can cast literally whoever you want. He’s in a mask the whole time if you do it right! Find a new guy with a sick voice who enjoys calling people FOOLS and we’d be cool with it.

Or, you know, pick a woman. Generally safer for the type of criminal activity that’s going to matter here at least.

I don’t get why he wants to do it, either. I recently saw that he took Tony Stark’s cars as partial payment for some of the films? So he can’t need the money.

Heck yeah. I think it’s what Natasha would’ve wanted for her and the other Widows that woke up. Some of them should get to ‘make it out’

I thought about it more and came back to say I’d actually like it more if it wasn’t a set up for Yelana’s future in the MCU. She didn’t want any of that smoke from the start, let her get out and go into fashion photography or something. Fuck the Countessa.

(Commenting on a blog post, WHAT YEAR IS THIS???) For better or worse, the MCU came to us with “it’s all connected!” and so far, every new entry has moved things forward. With the massive expansion that’s happening (up to 5 movies and 5 shows in the years coming up), this was the first thing that felt like a backpedal. Like, Natasha SHOULD have a movie, but it should’ve been like four years ago. They have almost the entire Marvel universe back under their banner! I’m hopeful they’ll keep expanding outward and forward, (haven’t been able to get to Shang-Chi yet but it looks great) but this was a bit of a speed bump.

Yeah, they’re pulling an Avatar Aang here, where Danny has the power of the Iron Fist but not enough training. As you saw in the video from the forties, the previous Iron Fist was able to light up both fists and keep fighting.

It isn’t, like, first 20 minutes of Up or anything, but there is a bit where Pete and Elliott have to go their separate ways. There is a happy coda after that though, so it should turn them into happy tears before you leave.
