SONY has released two new posters for the upcoming entry into the franchise, Resident Evil.

Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

They are both so interesting, but the second one features the car with snow, and the silhouette is top tier. With these trailers and these imagines been good, I am holding out hope this might be a great remake. We shall see, I suppose.

Resident Evil is scheduled to be released on September 18, 2026.

Tubi announced the new Tubi Original Scooby-Doo animated series, Yokoso Scooby-Doo! The series marks the first original anime Scooby-Doo series and centers on fan-favorites Scooby-Doo and Shaggy with Frank Welker (Scoob!) and Matthew Lillard (Scream franchise) reprising the character roles, respectively.

While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy unwittingly unleash hundreds of mythical monsters that are causing trouble across the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, along with new friends, a magical girl Yume and gadget whiz Takumi, the group embarks on an all-new mystery filled with monster chasing and fun chaos.

Welker has been part of the Scooby franchise from the very beginning, serving as the voice of Fred Jones in 1969 with the premiere of “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!.” He has also been the voice of Scooby-Doo for over two decades. Lillard iconically took on the role of Shaggy in the live-action Scooby-Doo films and has since voiced the character across multiple animated series.

Yokoso Scooby-Doo will be available exclusively on Tubi in North America and internationally on Cartoon Network.

The trailer for the upcoming American psychological thriller, Strung, has been released by the folks over at Blumhouse. And, I have to say I like that kid’s mask. That will make sense after you watch – enjoy.

A gifted violinist’s prestigious new role as a music tutor for an enigmatic, elite family spirals into a psychological battle for her safety and sanity.

The film stars Chloe Bailey, Lynn Whitfield, Lucien Laviscount, Anna Diop, Coco Jones and Romy Woods. It is directed by Malcom D. Lee and written by Alan B. McElroy.

This looks pretty good, but I can’t wait to see why she just didn’t pack her bow, rosin and violin in its case and get the hell on, but we wouldn’t have a movie then I guess.

Strung arrives June 26 on Peacock.

Yellow Veil Pictures has acquired North American distribution rights to Boorman and the Devil, the documentary from filmmaker David Kittredge exploring the troubled production and lasting legacy of Exorcist II: The Heretic and its effect on director John Boorman’s career.

Directed by Kittredge, and produced by himself, Travis Stevens (Jodorowsky’s Dune) and Jim Fall, Boorman and the Devil revisits the making of Boorman’s ambitious 1977 sequel to The Exorcist, long considered one of Hollywood’s most infamous follow-ups. Through interviews and archival material, the documentary reexamines the film’s reputation and the risk and importance of taking big creative swings.

The film premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in the Venice Classics program, and features appearances from John Boorman, Linda Blair, Louise Fletcher, Joe Dante, Mike Flanagan, and Karyn Kusama. In addition to other filmmakers and film critics, they discuss the sequel’s enduring cult legacy and how the Hollywood era in which it was made, changed forever after its release.

“I am beyond thrilled that Yellow Veil has come on board to help us share this story with a larger audience,” said Director David Kittredge. “Like myself and the rest of our team, they’re huge cinema-lovers. It’s so exciting that a film which is not only a love letter to John Boorman, but also to ambitious filmmaking, will be handled by people who share the same passions that our team shares. I miss big, ambitious filmmaking that takes huge risks. In 1977, John Boorman took an enormous creative and commercial swing with THE HERETIC which didn’t connect with almost anybody at the time—but now we can look back and appreciate how big creative swings are what going to the movies is all about. Boorman is one of the greatest filmmakers that has ever stepped behind a camera, and I’m so happy to be telling the story of the one film that not only nearly destroyed him, but forever changed the way he made films.”

The acquisition was negotiated between Gregory Chambet on behalf of WTFilms and Hugues Barbier, Justin Timms, and Joe Yanick on behalf of Yellow Veil Pictures.

“I first saw the film at an early festival screening and the post-screening buzz was just electric. Everyone was loving Boorman and the Devil” says Yellow Veil Pictures Co-Founder Justin Timms. “To be able to team up with David and the filmmaking team on this release is incredibly exciting and we can’t wait to spread that post-screening electricity with audiences across the country.”

Boorman and the Devil will open in New York City at the Quad Cinema on August 28, before opening in Los Angeles and nationwide on September 4.

In Heyman’s script, married couple Patrick (Gordon-Levitt) and Abigail (Dynevor) journey to a new-age retreat in New Mexico, drawn by the possibility of healing after a traumatic event. Patrick is willing to do anything to help his wife, but becomes distrustful of the retreat’s enigmatic leader (Weaver) even as Abigail falls under her spell. As paranoia builds, the couple must determine if the group’s spiritual practices offer genuine healing – or mask a terrifying truth that threatens to consume them both.

The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper), Phoebe Dynevor (Fair Play), Norman Reedus (Ballerina), Jena Malone (The Boroughs), and two-time Academy Award® nominee Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook).

After tackling the ’80s and the ’90s, the In Search of Darkness documentary series rises again, and this time, we’re reflecting on one of the grittiest, most revolutionary and blockbuster decades of film ever recorded — The ’70s — from the most celebrated, legendary movie titles to the many eclectic, deep cuts waiting to be rediscovered.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The Amityville Horror. Phantasm. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Alien...
Taking on the era’s greatest horror films with CREATORVC’s unique, long-form documentary format, In Search of Darkness ’70s returns to its full-decade, year-by-year format pioneered by our ‘80s trilogy; exploring 1970 through 1979 through lively, exclusive interviews with top filmmakers and actors, celebrity fans, and experts, all sharing candid observations, experiences, and critical analysis to celebrate and re-contextualize this amazing time in horror history.

“I am truly excited to return to my horror roots for In Search of Darkness ’70s, and to once again invite our passionate audience to share their ideas and favorite genre films to help shape our next CREATORVC documentary. Growing up as a Monster Kid in that golden decade, I have so many formative memories of watching horror movies and late-night creature features on the big and small screen, fueled by the broadcast premieres of The Exorcist, The Omen, Carrie, and Salem’s Lot that my parents somehow allowed me to watch. What were they thinking? I can’t wait to share my nostalgia for the decade combined with a fresh re-contextualization of this amazing time in horror history,” said David Weiner, writer/director.

As a fan of both Cape Fear films and a Javier Bardem semi Stan, imagine my excitement when Apple TV released the trailer for Cape Fear,” the new psychological horror thriller limited series which is being produced by Academy Award winners Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. Also Academy Award winner Javier Bardem and Academy Award nominee Amy Adams are starring and executive producing.

Inspired by the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance.

Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles round out the ensemble cast and the supporting cast includes CCH Pounder, Jamie Hector and Anna Baryshnikov.

Cape Fear will take hold this summer when the 10-episode limited series will make its global debut on Friday, June 5, 2026 with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through July 31, 2026 on Apple TV.
