Fueled by speculation and the revelation that the original calculations pertaining to the end of the world via the Mayan Calendar were incorrect- May 21st 2011 is the new judgement day.

Why is this good for America? Well if you are smart enough to capitalize on this you could undoubtedly make a fortune selling survival supplies, Bibles/ Korans and booze and cigarettes. Seriously, there was a tremendous surge in the economy leading up to Y2K. With the fear that the world's computers would shut down due to a software glitch not accounting for the roll-over in date from the 1900's to 2000's. We are still here and the world's nuclear arsenal didn't launch on their own.

So- what can we expect over the next 24-72 hours? It will probably go something like this:

Now-24 hrs: Panic buying of food, water, gasoline, batteries, guns/knives, ammunition, prescription refills and medical supplies. Maybe a good single malt scotch or two will find its way into the stash. Internet congestion will increase as people search for news pertaining to the rapture, end of the world and apocalypse.

24-48 hrs: This is peek 'Judgement Day' hours. Every hour leading to the close-out of the end of the day on Saturday May 21 will seem like an eternity as dooms-dayers watch another hour pass by. Any political, national or local disturbance will be perceived as leading up to the Apocalypse. Any naturals disaster, earthquake, solar disturbance etc., will fuel fear and add to the panic. If these events take place, the interstates and highways might start to fill with panicking citizens fleeing urban centers. Smoke 'em if you got em.

48-72 hrs: Post-Apocalypse chill down. When all is said and down- Sunday will start like most days, with people returning to worship and time with their families. The BBQ grills will come up, the food stashes will be shared and enjoyed. The stockpile of good Canadian beer will be consumed. Folks will smoke the expensive cigars they bought to celebrate the end, but it will just be the beginning.

So bring on the rapture- it'll provide a much needed bump to the economy. Only a crisis like the impending 'Apocolypse' could be marketed and 'made in Ameica'. So get your John Cusak "on" and enjoy!
The U.S. Air Force is under orders to buy American-made products for construction projects, but ABC News heard from viewers that the Air Force was having trouble finding certain goods.

The Made in America team scoured the country and found what the Air Force had been looking for -- light bulbs made in America.
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - As our nation struggles to come out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, it has become obvious to more and more Americans that, over the last several decades, whole sectors of our economy have shifted to foreign shores. This is especially true in areas like manufacturing, customer service, technical support and even finance.
