With the dust having finally settled after the prolonged Democratic presidential primary, a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows Sens.
Obama Fiercely Defends His Patriotism

Dogged by persistent rumors questioning his belief in country, Sen. Barack Obama journeyed to Middle America on Monday to lay out his vision of patriotism, conceding that he has learned in this presidential campaign that "the question of who is -- or is not -- a patriot all too often poisons our political debate."

He's wearing his lapel pin again...that's the ticket.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Washington Post

Obama's Email 'Relationship' With Scarlett Johansson

But speaking to reporters aboard his campaign plane, Obama said the actress doesn't have his personal email address. "She sent one email to Reggie, who forwarded it to me," Obama said, referring to his 26-year-old personal assistant, Reggie Love. "I write saying, 'thank you Scarlett for doing what you do,' and suddenly we have this email relationship"

Obama's presidential seal was for ‘one-time use'

Barack Obama's presidential campaign is retiring a presidential seal that made its debut at a Chicago event last week.

"It was a one-time seal for a one-time use," Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said. The seal, which resembled the official presidential seal, had a picture of a bald eagle on it. A phrase inscribed above it read "Vero Possumus," a Latin expression that roughly translates to the campaign's slogan, "Yes, we can."

One time use Bullshit.
A Campaign We Can Believe In

Hillary Clinton's concession speech Saturday was the story of the weekend. But the dueling speeches by John McCain and Barack Obama on Tuesday night, after the last primaries, are what voters - and campaign operatives - should be revisiting.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Just 17% of voters nationwide believe that most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of election campaigns. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that four times as many-68%--believe most reporters try to help the candidate that they want to win.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Rasmussen Reports

An Update on the Michelle Obama Rant

The recording that shows Michelle Obama saying disparaging things about white folks is for real. It is not part of some elaborate dirty trick. The people who have seen her comments describe it as "stunning" or "devastating." I have not spoken directly with the people who have seen the tape, but I have spoken to two of my friends who are friends with those who watched the tape/dvd.

My friend talked to that friend, who said their friend was sleeping with a friend's spouse and in a fit of ecstasy exclaimed...

"I have a friend who was out on a two day bender in Vegas with a friend, and said that a friend of theirs heard from a friend that another friend saw some tape of Michelle Obama talking about her friends."

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: No Quarter

Democrats finally impeach the Clintons

Ten years too late, true, but finally the Democratic Party has decided that sex really isn't private and perjury really isn't lying about sex.

Welcome back to reality, Democrats.

Welcome to the dustbin of history, Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's clinching of the presidential nomination is historic, and whether this leads to the presidency is the story for the next five months.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Clinton Unlikely as No. 2

Supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton suggested she would like to be Sen. Barack Obama's running mate, but close advisers to Sen. Obama are signaling that an Obama-Clinton ticket is highly unlikely.

Some in the Clinton camp also noted a possible deal-breaker for a party-unity ticket: Bill Clinton may balk at releasing records of his business dealings and big donors to his presidential library.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Wall Street Journal

Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan Take On Whitey

Barack may have quit his church but his religious problems are not over. Barack Obama has a Nation of Islam problem that will receive more attention in the coming days. Before Barack came on the scene, THE MAN in his political district was Louis Farrakhan. No one could take Alice Palmer's seat without Farrakhan's blessing. No one. I do not fault Barack Obama for seeking out the blessing of Farrakhan, but the story of what was done behind the scenes to get rid of Barack's predecessor-Alice Palmer-has not been told. A knowledgeable source tells me that Tony Rezko played a direct role in this feat. And Rezko has been tight with Farrakhan.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: No Quarter

Barack Obama resigned Saturday from his Chicago church - where controversial sermons by his former pastor and other ministers had created repeated political headaches for the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination - his campaign confirmed.

Obama distances himself from another clergyman

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Thursday that he was "deeply disappointed" by a supporter's sermon at his church that mocked Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The Rev. Michael Pfleger, a Chicago activist, also apologized for last Sunday's sermon at Obama's church, in which he said Clinton's eyes welled with tears before the New Hampshire primary because she felt "entitled" to the Democratic nomination and because "there's a black man stealing my show."

Former Bush donors now giving to Obama

Beverly Fanning is among the campaign donors who'll be joining President Bush at a gala at Washington's Ford's Theater Sunday night, but she says that won't dissuade her from her current passion: volunteering for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.

She isn't the only convert. A McClatchy computer analysis, incomplete due to the difficulty matching data from various campaign finance reports, found that hundreds of people who gave at least $200 to Bush's 2004 campaign have donated to Obama.

Our incomplete, difficult analysis also fails to point out any donors to John Kerry's campaign that are now donating to John McCain because all we are looking for is a few desperate headlines before we file for bankruptcy.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Clinton Casts Wide Net of Exaggeration, Claims to Lead in "Every Poll"

During an evening rally in Montana's largest city Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton explained to the crowd why she should be the Democratic Party's nominee, but what ensued was a list of overstatements and exaggerations as she made her case. "You have to ask yourself, who is the stronger candidate And based on every analysis, of every bit of research and every poll that has been taken and every state that a Democrat has to win, I am the stronger candidate against John McCain in the fall," she said.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Bill Clinton Has 'Never Seen a Candidate Treated So Disrespectfully 'Just for Running'

Former President Bill Clinton in South Dakota today delivered a harsh critique of how his wife has been treated during her presidential bid, telling the crowd that he has "never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running," and that, "she will win the general election if you nominate her. They're just trying to make sure you don't."

If Hillary Clinton is being shown little respect, it is because she is the wife of Bill Clinton and nothing more.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: ABC News Blogs

The era of big Clintons is soon over

In the 2012 and 2016 presidential campaign years, Hillary Clinton, now 60, will still be younger than the Republican candidate, John McCain, is now. Meantime, she could become a powerhouse senator in the manner of the stricken Edward M. Kennedy. Or a Supreme Court justice. Or Obama's running mate.

Soon, though, there will be no Clinton running for president or about to. Imagine that.

And let's not just wait for the party leaders to put pressure on the superdelegates. Let's start putting pressure ourselves. Below you will find a list of all the uncommitted superdelegates. And this link will lead you to profiles of them. Please call or email the elected officials and track down the DNC members who live in your state and let them know that you want them to stand up and be counted. Now.

Barack Obama: What A Dickhead

"If they think that they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful, because that I find unacceptable - the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family," he said.

What a dickhead. He can't possibly believe that things his wife says at political campaign rallies are immune from criticism.

George W. Bush Again Demonstrates His Lack of Intellect

The President of the United States is so lacking in his ability to see the big picture that many reasonable people on both sides of the political aisle are rightfully embarrassed and outraged by Bushes latest comments made in the Israeli Knesset.

President Bush is known to mangle the English language almost daily. That may be forgivable. Mr. Bushes latest comments have had a far greater affect on the level of respect the office of President deserves.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Think Net

Barack Obama Will Need To Choose Running Mate Carefully

The daily flow of Super Delegates to Senator Barack Obama has all but "cemented" Barack Obama as the Standard Bearer of the Democrat Party in 2008.

The "buzz" has already started about the choice of Barack Obama's running mate. Naturally the most prominent name being tossed into the ring is that of Hillary Clinton. This just will not happen, too many isssues.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Think Net

New York Times jackass makes juvenile political statement out of Bush wedding

Yes, the economy is in the dumps. Yes, the war in Iraq drags on. But it's hard to imagine even his harshest critics begrudging President Bush the father-of-the-bride grin he has worn around the country lately.

In March, Mr. Bush warmed up the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce by joking about the "difficult spending decisions" and "sensitive diplomacy" that are a part of wedding planning. In a commencement speech last weekend at a Kansas high school that had been ripped apart by a tornado a year earlier, he thanked 18 seniors for rescheduling their graduation ceremony so it would not conflict with his daughter's big day.

This week, after taking questions about soaring prices of gasoline and food, he told viewers of a morning network news program that he had erected a giant limestone cross on his ranch here as the site of a wedding altar. And on Thursday, as he boarded Air Force One to travel here from Washington, he beamed at reporters and stuck out his arm as if rehearsing for the walk with his daughter down the aisle.

Jackass reporter in every way!

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

The Democratic Party can't celebrate the triumph of Barack Obama because the Democratic Party is busy having a breakdown.
Even as Barack Obama's campaign celebrated Tuesday's primary results, aides charged yesterday that they would have had an even stronger showing were it not for meddling by an unlikely booster of Hillary Rodham Clinton: the popular conservative radio host and longtime Clinton family nemesis Rush Limbaugh.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Washington Post

Despite all the math counting her out, Hillary Clinton fervently remains in the race to become the Democratic nominee for president in 2008.
Once-secret memos question Clinton's honesty

A decade before Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton admitted fudging the truth during the presidential campaign, federal prosecutors quietly assembled hundreds of pages of evidence suggesting she concealed information and misled a federal grand jury about her work for a failing Arkansas savings and loan at the heart of the Whitewater probe, according to once-secret documents that detail the internal debates over whether she should have faced criminal charges.

It doesn't take secret memos for anyone to figure out Clinton's honesty.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: Washington Times

Obama plans to declare victory May 20

The Obama campaign agrees with the Democratic National Committee, which pegs a winning majority at 2,025 pledged delegates and superdelegates-a figure that excludes the penalized Florida and Michigan delegations. The Clinton campaign, on the other hand, insists the winner will need 2,209 to cinch the nomination - a tally that includes Florida and Michigan.

"We don't accept 2,025. It is not the real number because that does not include Florida and Michigan," said Howard Wolfson, one of Clinton's two chief strategists. "It's a phony number."

Clinton Camp Considering Nuclear Option To Overtake Delegate Lead

Hillary Clinton's campaign has a secret weapon to build its delegate count, but her top strategists say privately that any attempt to deploy it would require a sharp (and by no means inevitable) shift in the political climate within Democratic circles by the end of this month.

Sources noted that she will just steal the nomination, and Barack Obama will later be found babbling racial slurs in the basement of the Trinity Church.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Why Oprah Winfrey left Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church

For any spiritually minded, up-wardly mobile African-American living in Chicago in the mid-1980s, the Trinity United Church of Christ was-and still is-the place to be. That's what drew Oprah Winfrey, a recent Chicago transplant, to the church in 1984. She was eager to bond with the movers and shakers in her new hometown's black community. But she also admired Trinity United's ambitious outreach work with the poor, and she took pride in upholding her Southern grandmother's legacy of involvement with traditional African-American houses of worship. Winfrey was a member of Trinity United from 1984 to 1986, and she continued to attend off and on into the early to the mid-1990s. But then she stopped. A major reason-but by no means the only reason-was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Might have been easier just to say "Oprah Winfrey isn't racist."

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

On My Switch From Clinton to Obama

Today I am announcing my support for Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States of America. I am changing my support from Senator Clinton to Senator Obama, and calling for my fellow Democrats across my home State of Indiana, and my fellow super delegates across the nation, to heal the rift in our Party and unite behind Barack Obama.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Reid, Pelosi, Dean may intervene in nomination

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that he may try to force undecided superdelegates to make their decisions in the Democratic presidential race if it stretches into June.

Reid said he would consider writing a joint letter with Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) demanding that superdelegates make their endorsements public.

Is Jeremiah Wright a colossal disaster for Barack Obama or a press trick

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn't have done more damage to Barack Obama's campaign if he had tried. And you have to wonder if that's just what one friend of Wright wanted.

Nope...no trick. Just a disaster.
Obama: Judge my words, not Wright's

Barack Obama this afternoon asked voters to judge him by his own words and deeds rather than his past associations, as his controversial former spiritual mentor re-emerged in the presidential campaign through a broadcast interview and series of speeches by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright over the weekend and today.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

Wright Says His Words Were Twisted

In his first wide-ranging interview since video clips of his inflammatory sermons were aired, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. defended himself over the controversy, saying that his words were twisted.

"Even though I said all those nasty things, and they were caught on video and audio, my words were twisted. Twisted I say. Twisted.

The only thing twisted about Jeremiah Wright is the man himself.

How does this story measure up? Vote Now.
Hostile Crowd Source: pending admin review

Politically-minded media using FeedBurner services can now get the Hostile Crowd FeedFlare!

If you're like me you've probably been wandering about the world babbling something about racial equality in America that affirms, "There are no differences except differences of degree between different degrees of difference and no difference." You could also say, "All men are created equal." How left-brained of you.

Now comes Reverend James Wright to set us all straight. He notes in passing that the right-brain of black people is somehow descended from the griots of Africa. The griots were people who could remember long, very long, poems; proto-rappers if you will. White people had something like that too, but then they invented ... writing. Or was it the Asians I forget since, alas, my griot genes are slim to none.

At any rate, being descended from griots seems to me to be a lucky win in genetic lotto if you get one of the 100 top rapper slots in the world. It will probably be a bit more problematic if you want to get a job that involves actual analytic skills.

Jeremiah Wright.

My Wall Street Journal, a parody of the Wall Street Journal on newsstands this week to mark the April 15 tax deadline, has rankled News Corp executives so much that they're trying to make sure no one sees it. The New York Times' Richard Perez-Pena reports that a WSJ representative attempted to snatch up all the copies in the Los Angeles area, where they made public a bit ahead of schedule...
