Troop 8055 and Madeline Burgess Valier was the Top Seller for the service unit 51. “I’m very proud of our girls and the excellent work they have done to make the cookie sale this year a huge success,” said Villie Appoo Agent GSSI CEO. “The annual report Girl Scout cookie sale is an excellent program that gives girls the opportunity to gain valuable skills, such as customer service, sales, money management and teamwork. “I want to thank our daughters, their parents and our wonderful volunteers for the 2010 Girl Scout cookie sale a huge success,” said Appoo. Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole, Massage Therapists, Allege Brett Favre Wanted Group Sex in Lawsuit

Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole, both former massage therapists for theNew York Jets, filed suit against Favre, the New York Jets and Lisa Ripi, a woman who hires massage therapists for the team, in the Supreme Court of the State of New York today.

The New York Jets and the National Football League had no comment on the matter. Requests for comment from Brett Favre's agent and the Minnesota Vikings were not immediately returned.

Two massage therapists say in a lawsuit that complaining about sexually suggestive text messages from Brett Favre cost them their part-time jobs with the New York Jets.

Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole sued the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, the Jets and a Jets massage coordinator Monday in a Manhattan court. The lawsuit comes days after the NFL fined Favre $50,000 for not being candid in an investigation into allegations that he sent lewd text messages and photos to a Jets game hostess.

Favre's agent didn't immediately return a telephone call. The Jets declined to comment.

The lawsuit says Favre send a third, unidentified massage therapist a 2008 text message asking whether she and Scavo "want to get together" and suggesting he had "bad intentions."

After Jamie Stuart edited and scored his work, the filmmaker sent the short film, titled Idiot With A Tripod, to film critic Roger Ebert. The world famous film critic raves about the film on his blog and says it should be an Academy Award contender in the Live-Action Short category! Is this a filmmaker’s dream or what? Jamie Stuart isn’t an idiot—the man is a genius marketer!

Roger Ebert gives the reasons why Idiot With A Tripod deserves to win the Academy Award for best live-action short subject.

This film deserves to win the Academy Award for best live-action short subject. (1) Because of its wonderful quality. (2) Because of its role as homage. You can tell from the cinematography he knew exactly what he was doing and how to do it. He held the Vertov film in memory. Stuart must already been thinking of how he would do the edit and sound. Any professional will tell you the talent exhibited here is extraordinary.

2011 Predictions: New Years Eve 2011 Celebrity Engagements

New Year’s Eve is tomorrow night, and many celebrities are getting ready to attend huge parties with their significant others. Celebrity engagements were a huge hit over Christmas, so we can’t help but wonder if more celebrity engagements will occur on New Year’s Eve 2011. Many celebs will likely consult their 2011 horoscopes and Chinese horoscopes to see what is in the stars for them relationship-wise. Here are our 2011 predictions for star couples who are most likely to wind up engaged by January 1st!

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough - Ever since Ryan and Julianne started dating, they have been inseparable. They were seen looking lovey dovey in Paris at Thanksgiving, where they vacationed with Seacrest’s family. Given that Ryan Seacrest is kind of a big deal with his whole Times Square gig and all, there is a good chance that he will get down on one knee and pop the question to Julianne Hough when the ball drops on New Year’s Eve 2011. And if he does propose, my 2011 prediction is that he and Julianne will be married and expecting a baby by New Year’s 2012.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart - Kristen Stewart may be a little young, but she and Robert Pattinson have been hot and heavy for quite some time now. They have even been living together while filming Breaking Dawn, the last installment of the Twilight Saga. Their Breaking Dawn characters, Edward and Bella, get married and have a child in the film…but will they take the next step and get engaged on New Year’s Eve 2011? Never say never.

Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas – Their relationship may have contributed to Demi Lovato landing in rehab, but Ashley and Joe seem solid as a rock and unphased by what people think of them. There have been rumors that they are close to an engagement anyway, so a 2011 prediction of Joe giving Ashley a rock on New Year’s Eve 2011 isn’t exactly far fetched. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pops the question.

Breaking: CNN Talks Live To Skier Trapped On Chair Lift In Maine

A skier caught on a chair lift in winds gusting to 50 miles an hour grabbed his cell phone and called CNN. Robb Atkinson’s call has been carried live on the network, telling viewers people were heading up the mountain at the Sugarloaf resort when the lift fell “20 or 30 feet” and then stopped moving. More than 100 skiers have been stuck ever since 10 a.m.

According to the CNN coverage, there are reports of injuries but the extent of the injuries and number of people hurt is not clear. The witness did indicate seeing skiers “fall to the ground” from a height of about thirty feet and Atkinson has seen at least five injured skiers carried down the mountain by members of the ski patrol.

The ski patrol at Sugarloaf is working a rescue, and at the urging of CNN anchor Tony Harris, Atkinson, who works for CNN, has promised to record the rescue effort on his cell phone camera.

A spokesman for Sugarloaf tells CNN the lift had “a derailment” and the rescue effort will take one to two hours.

‘Dutch Sandwich’ saves Google billions in taxes

The heart of Google's international operations is a silvery glass office building in central Dublin, a block from the city's Grand Canal. In 2009 the office, which houses roughly 2,000 Google employees, was credited with 88 percent of the search juggernaut's $12.5 billion in sales outside the U.S. Most of the profits, however, went to the tax haven of Bermuda.

To reduce its overseas tax bill, Google uses a complicated legal structure that has saved it $3.1 billion since 2007 and boosted last year's overall earnings by 26 percent. While many multinationals use similar structures, Google has managed to lower its overseas tax rate more than its peers in the technology sector. Its rate since 2007 has been 2.4 percent.

According to company disclosures, Apple, Oracle, Microsoft and IBM—which together with Google make up the top five technology companies by market capitalization—reported tax rates between 4.5 percent and 25.8 percent on their overseas earnings from 2007 to 2009.

"It's remarkable that Google's effective rate is that low," says Martin A. Sullivan, a tax economist who formerly worked for the U.S. Treasury Department. "This company operates throughout the world mostly in high-tax countries where the average corporate rate is well over 20 percent." The corporate tax rate in the U.K., Google's second-largest market after the U.S., is 28 percent.

In Bermuda there's no corporate income tax at all. Google's profits travel to the island's white sands via a convoluted route known to tax lawyers as the "Double Irish" and the "Dutch Sandwich." In Google's case, it generally works like this: When a company in Europe, the Middle East or Africa purchases a search ad through Google, it sends the money to Google Ireland. The Irish government taxes corporate profits at 12.5 percent, but Google mostly escapes that tax because its earnings don't stay in the Dublin office, which reported a pretax profit of less than 1 percent of revenues in 2008.

Delta Airlines Check In A Nightmare For Gamblers Leaving AC

The weather this weekend was not what Atlantic City gamblers were hoping for when they took their vacations to the East Coast gambling capital. By Monday, many gamblers had been stranded for days with airports in the Northeast closed because of a blizzard.

The airports re-opened late in the afternoon Monday and the Delta airlines check in counter was a frightful sight. Dozens of gamblers that had been holed up in AC casinos while the storm passed through were antsy to get on a plane and go back home.

"I waited in line for hours before I even found out when I would be leaving," said Mario Bucher. "I have been in Atlantic City for a week, and I didn't get to see half of the casinos I came to explore. I just want to go home."

It would be another couple of hours before Bucher boarded his flight for the West Coast, but his story was similar to hundreds of travelers that were leaving airports in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The frustration was boiling over, with tensions running high in the long lines and packed terminals.

Atlantic City casinos were in a catch twenty-two when it came to their customers over the holiday weekend. It was good for the casinos that gamblers were stuck at the facilities without anyplace to go, but it was also bad that a new batch of gamblers could not come in because of the flight cancellations and delays.

Casinos in the Northeast are springing up in almost every state, and the expansion has hurt the AC casino industry. Revenue started to slide during the economic recession, and continued to nosedive this past summer when Pennsylvania casinos started to operate table games.

Natalie Portman is pregnant! Natalie Portman is also engaged to her unborn baby's father, Benjamin Millepied! What a day of announcements for her!

The happy couple met during the production of Black Swan, for which Nat earned nominations for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

Benjamin Millepied served as choreographer for Black Swan, but a few months into filming, he found himself on the other side of the camera as well.

Of being cast as the dance partner of Portman and co-star Mila Kunis, he said, "I really, really got into it... I was blown away, especially by Natalie."

Apparently! This will be the first marriage for both and their first child as well. It's unclear how along Natalie is, but in any case, congratulations!

New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons don't give up many sacks

Tonight's matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons will feature two of the best offensive lines and two quarterbacks who are adept at avoiding sacks.

Matt Ryan, with his three-step drops and decisive decision-making, has been sacked just 21 times, good for third in the NFL through 14 games. Drew Brees has been brought down just 22 times, fourth in the NFL.
The big difference, Brees has thrown 19 interceptions - including one in 10 consecutive games - while Ryan has thrown just nine picks.

Matt Ryan, Roddy White and Falcons Forget Short Pass; Drew Brees and Saints Don't

Lost in all of the stuff about how Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver Roddy White's Twitter Tweets fueled the New Orleans Saints to their 17 to 14 victory over the Dirty Birds tonight at The Georgia Dome, was one fact: when it mattered most, Matt Ryan and the Falcons forgot the short game.

New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton showed once again why he's the NFL's best play caller not name Peyton Manning, Andy Reid, or Bill Oâ€™Brien of the Patroits. With just over 8 minutes on the clock he and Quarterback Drew Brees directed a 13 play, 90 yard drive that featured six straight passes. The last pass was a touchdown to rookie Tight End Jimmy Graham that Head Coach Mike Smith and the Falcons should have seen coming: the pass to the big tight end lined up all alone over the small cornerback, where the Saints throw a quick look-in pass within five yards of the goal line. Something they did in Super Bowl 44 against the Colts.

All of Brees passes were of the short variety.

By contrast, when the Falcons got the ball with a whopping 3 minutes left, and needing only to get into field goal range, they got greedy. The first play was a broken-field run by Matt Ryan for about 20 yard, then the drive stalled and they went three-and-out, as Ryan tried to throw down field to score, rather than short to work the clock and move the chains.

If that series were replayed and the Falcons Smith said "OK, Zennie. Let's see what you can do," I'd have used Ryan's legs on a planned bootleg to open the series, worked a set of short passes off play action to Falcons Running Back Michael Turner, then called the roll-out pass to the left to Roddy White. Work short. Work the ball.

That's what the Saints did, and in a series so devastatingly perfect, Bill Walsh was smiling down from Heaven.

Saints Vs. Falcons: Saints Rally Late To Stun Falcons, Clinch Playoff Spot

The NFC South title will go down to the final week of the regular season after the Saints rallied to defeat the Falcons 17-14 on Monday night

Drew Brees threw a six-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Jimmy Graham with 3:24 remaining, as the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints secured a spot in the postseason with a 17-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.

Brees completed 35-of-49 passes for 302 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Saints (11-4), who bounced back from a 30-24 loss to the Ravens last week and avenged an overtime loss to Atlanta in Week 3.

New Orleans kept its hopes alive of claiming a second straight NFC South title. If the Saints beat Tampa Bay next week and the Falcons lose to Carolina, New Orleans wins the division.

Pierre Thomas carried the ball 19 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. He also caught seven passes for 39 yards. Robert Meachem led the receiving corps with 10 catches for 101 yards.

Matt Ryan connected on 15-of-29 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons (12-3), who saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end. Atlanta, which has already wrapped up a playoff spot, can still gain the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win next week.

Michael Turner carried the ball 17 times for 48 yards. Roddy White hauled in three passes for 43 yards and a score.

The Falcons gained just 215 yards of total offense, the lowest total since Mike Smith took over in 2008.
