Here at Hot Apps Today we travel around the world for business every day of the week. So we decided to focus this week on the iPhone apps that we use on every trip and that we cannot leave home without.

The first on my list is the TomTom Navigation app. It is by far the most important travel app or travel tool we use on every trip. Since it installs as an iPhone app on your iPhone it is always with you. TomTom also is a complete download so you do NOT need to be online using data while roaming. The other TOP feature for me with the Tom Tom Navigation app is that you can store all of your favorite destinations, hotels, restaurants, sightseeing or tourist attraction and since the TomTom is an app it syncs with your account so you do not loose any of the locations.

This makes the TomTom even more valuable over time saving all the navigation destinations you have visited so you can return or share them with friends with the social sharing tools.

On the TomTom you can also find anything you are looking for using the built in Google Search and then TomTom navigates you turn by turn to your location.

So if you take my advice this is the BEST Travel App I have ever used and I have been using it for 3 years keeping all of my past favorite destinations on my TomTom on my iPhone and it also transfered when I upgraded to the iPhone 4s!

The game is an MMORPG and therefore needs an internet connection to play. Your kingdom is one of the many hosted on the game's server. You can decide to chat with the players you have an alliance with or any other players you feel like. It is highly recommended to build alliances with other players. Start by creating an embassy so that you can either join or create an alliance. Being a member of an alliance will give you the opportunity to do raids with your teammates.

Though it is not as simple as other iPhone games, it is quite interesting once you understand it. You will have to be patient before you can build up your kingdom. Unlike other iPhone games, you are at least given some time before the enemies start attacking.

Just updated tonight, can't find the option to turn off the 'clear skies are boring' message. Also when I attempt to view the 'USA' map it attempts to load then cuts off, program closed. I deleted then reinstalled the app but didn't help.

If you like to travel this is a great app to have with. On my last trip to Costa Rica this app made it possible to NOT get lost where some of the signage was a bit confusing. Also great for menus in Paris!

Does what I expect

It isn't Star Trek, yet, but it usually gives me a pretty good idea of what the text of the language I'm trying to translate is trying to say. I still find it utterly amazing that this program is doing even a half-way decent attempt at instant in-place translation of text it sees. I also had a problem with the whole restore-my-previous purchases thing. But just like any other app that has problems like this, I just simply deleted it completely (data too), and re-downloaded it. Then it had no problems reloading my purchases after that. Bug, yes, but easy work-around.

Amazing App. Just got back from Disney World.

We are avid Disney World fans, and heard about the App on TV. However, until recently, I did not have a phone capable of using the app. I now have the iPhone and searched this app out first thing. We were just in Disney this past April and used this app for the wait times at EVERY park. They were pretty accurate and we used this to pick our next attraction. It is an amazing app with a whole BUNCH of useful information. It has ride height requirements, descriptions, locations and wait times. Restroom locations. It has restaurant locations, menus, and prices (even in the hotels and downtown Disney). A spot to place all your favorite rides together for easy viewing of wait times. A spot for you to list all your dining reservations for quick review. It also has the park hours, extra magic hours and parade & firework schedules. It also uses your phones GPS to locate your position on the map and tell you the nearest attractions with wait times! We love it and can't wait to use next year at Disney! Even at home my kids ask what the wait times are for Pirates, Soarin' or Peter Pan! LOL Well worth the price of a Happy Meal!

It's rare I give 5 stars but must for this zippy, responsive app. The Maps alone are worth it- love the zoom feature, photos of attractions/eateries, description of same, menus w/ prices, coloration and easy switching between parks.
Being able to add an eatery to Favorites or use Dining to search by cuisine, name, park or type of seating is perfect. As a bonus, it tells you what discounts and meal plans are accepted.
The Wait Times is quite enlightening. I have been checking at certain times every day prior to an upcoming trip to get a feel for park crowd density and what substitutions I might make.
Very few apps of this nature can provide such rich data without WiFi - this one DOES, (except for Nearby- you need 3G) and quite well.
