Brown turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire station on February 8, 2009 and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, while under investigation for domestic violence charges, following an argument with fellow singer and girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles's Hancock Park. The police report did not name the female in the incident as is policy, but stated that the female had "suffered visible injuries."He was set to perform at the 2009 Grammy Awards, but was replaced by Justin Timberlake and Al Green. The Los Angeles Times reported that he is being represented by defense attorney Mark Geragos, and according to Fox News, 19 year-old Brown recently hired acclaimed PR spin doctor Michael Sitrick to counter the wave of bad press the R&B singer has received since his (alleged) violent outburst at Rihanna. Brown later pulled out of a scheduled appearance at the 2009 NBA All-Star Game. He had been tapped to introduce the players with Shaquille O'Neal before tip-off at Phoenix's US Airways Center. Following the incident, Brown's music has been pulled off of radio stations and his advertisements for Wrigley's and Got Milk? have been suspended, and Sesame Workshop announced that his episode of Sesame Street would be pulled from future broadcast. Brown released a statement saying, "Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," he said. On 3 April 2008, Campbell was arrested inside Heathrow's Terminal 5 on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after one of her bags had been lost. Campbell was subsequently banned from flying globally with British Airways by the airline. She was charged with three counts of assaulting a constable, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison and a fine of up to £5,000, one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, which is punishable by a fine of up to £2,500, and one count of using threatening, abusive words or behaviour towards cabin crew, which comes with a maximum penalty of £1,000. On 20 June 2008, Campbell pled guilty to four of the six charges against her, while the Crown Prosecution Service decided to drop the other two charges. The remaining charges include two counts of assaulting a police constable; one of using threatening, abusive words or behaviour to cabin crew; and one of using insulting, abusive, threatening behaviour or disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Campbell cited racial verbal abuse from members of the airline crew of British Airways as the reason for her outburst. Campbell was sentenced to 200 hours of community service in relation to these charges. Campbell also alleged that British Airways staff called her a "golliwog supermodel" in the incident.
