Song Lyrics....Know...

2013-07-22T16:54:00.000-07:00

Song- Know
Written- sometime in the fall of 2003
Band- Calculted Risk/Third World Assassins
About- Christy

Chorus:

My Thoughts warm you
Fingers explore you
Everywhere we go
People ask the question
Everywhere we go
They want to know

Verse #1

We are so close
Yet so damn far
They all stare
as we chill at the bar
They don't know
and I want to show
Why I am here
Why should we fear

Verse #2

Remember that night
Face lit by Candlelight
Rose in my mouth
Thoughts headed south
Our lips locked deep
A spark we both feel
In our heads
Why should we dread?

Verse #3

Everyday we deny
Our bullshit lie
That we are not one
We don't go out, have fun
I life with you
I still dream
Tried of my shame
Why do we play this game?

The Chords are Dm, Am, C, G and I can't remember the finger placements yet but the structure of the song was a picking sequence through the chorus with light strumming of chords through the verses. I still think it is the best song I ever wrote and it was played live at least twice and a bunch of times in my house in Inkster while convincing Miss Christy to take off her pants.

Is Jose Vavlerde done?

2013-06-13T12:01:00.001-07:00

Yesterday, June 12, 2013, Jose Valverde was within one strike of closing out a Detroit Tigers

victory over the Kansas City Royals. Then he pitched up a meatball to Lorenzo Cain who parked it in the stands to tie the game. The Royals would go on to win the game in the bottom of the 10th and Valverde had blown another save and fellow reliever Phil Coke ate the loss. All on a day when Justin Verlander pitched seven innings of 3 hit shutout ball.

Max Scherzer wins, improves record to 9-0

2013-06-12T12:13:00.004-07:00

Yesterday, June 11, 2013, Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer pitched a solid seven innings,

striking out six to improve his 2013 record to 9-0. Even if his manger (Jim Leyland) was not going to manage the America League squad in the coming All Star Game Max would be the favorite to start for his league. Since Leyland is managing the squad that possibility is a virtual lock. Scherzer is also the first Tigers starter to start a season 9-0 in 75 years.

Will Jhonny Peralta be suspended?

2013-06-05T08:03:00.000-07:00

The number one rule in sports, where Performance Enhancing Drugs are concerned, is where there is smoke there is almost certainly fire. The Miami area clinic Biogenesis is now at the center of a PED controversy that could lead to lengthy suspensions for 20 MLB players, including the Detroit Tigers starting short stop Jhonny Peralta. Tony Bosch, head of the clinic, is set to give MLB testimony as to what went on in his clinic and which players are implicated. Some media outlets are reporting that the Commissioners office may seek 100 game suspensions for the players involved.

Detroit Tigers week in review: Week nine

2013-06-04T08:28:00.001-07:00

This as not the best week in the history of the Detroit Tigers, and it was probably he worst week of the 2013

season thus far. Once again the Tigers have shown that annoying habit of the offense going to sleep. It happened last fall at the worst time and whatever the problem is it really needs to be addressed. Is it the lack of a clubhouse leader? Quite possibly. Is it a flaw in the lineup? Maybe. Is tit the failure of Alex Avila at the plate? Is is due to the struggling Victor Martinez? There are no easy answers here, but when we start to look at the splits it gets to look a little more ugly than it really is.

Is 2013 a make or break year for Matthew Stafford?

2013-05-29T10:44:00.001-07:00

We have seen the good Matthew Stafford (2011), and the less than good Matthew Stafford (2012), and the oft injured Matthew Stafford (any season before 2011). Now Mathew Stafford is stepping up to be the on and off the field leader for the Lions, and they are becoming his team. He enters 2013 having started 33 NFL games in a row, and one has to wonder will the 2013 season define the rest of his career?

Detroit Tigers week in review: Week 8

2013-05-28T10:24:00.003-07:00

The 2013 Detroit Tigers season is now two months old. For the most part we know what we have now. A

very good team with a pretty large flaw. We see a team that should be dominating and at times they are, but once again they are getting off to that Jim Leyland eske slow start. Maybe it is how he manages giving guys rest so early on, and maybe it is just the mix of players the Tigers have currently.

Of course the news good be a lot worse. This is a team that needs to make a big splash kind of move at the trading deadline but they are in first place by 2.5 games after a couple of statement games against the Indians in Cleveland at the beginning of last week.
