There are many Christmas traditions to bring a little holiday cheer but I am not sure this ones i ready to catch on just yet.  U.S. Customs officials at the Los Angeles Harbor, got a big surprise, on cargo coming in China described on the manifest as “Christmas ornaments”.  But when authorities opened up one of the 860 boxes of cargo, they found 316,000 glass bongs and pipes, worth about $2.6 million. No arrests have been made yet, but an investigation is is still pending, and unfortunately in the tradition of Scrooge, all the items are set to be destroyed.

The Hollywood Reporter now says the pair are due to take the lead roles in a new movie entitled, ‘Bel Ami.’

First published as a short story in France in 1885, the movie tells the tale of Georges Duroy who transforms his life from that of a poor paparazzi to one of great fortune and fame by charming and bedding a collection of mistresses who all share great wealth and power.

Rob will play Duroy, while Uma is due to portray the wife of a friend – a lady whose countless connections to the cream of Parisian society help Duroy succeed in this indulgent climb. And these unlikely allies even get married.

The movie’s been casting for ages and you might hear a rumor that Nicole Kidman’s on-board? Not true. She was offered Uma’s role, but the deal never gelled; Her fee was too high.

One role that’s certain is Kristin Scott Thomas; Last seen in ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic,’ Kristin, who lives full-time in Paris, will play one of Rob’s ‘victims’ who gets desperate and clingy when he tries to move on.

British theater director, Declan Donnellan is signed to direct this as his first film, and the team will start lensing in Paris next Spring for a mid-2011 release.

The pair are still dating – for now – but Drew has removed the 31-year old actor from her luxurious four-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills until he can get himself straightened, then they can regroup. At least, that’s the plan.

“Drew had it with being Justin’s babysitter,” a close friend told the Star. “It’s not just that he made a mess, he also gets mopey and is a big-time couch potato; She wasn’t thrilled about this side of him.” they confirmed.

Drew, 34, first met Justin in the summer of 2007. They broke up a year later, but reconnected last Spring and he moved into Drew’s spacious pad back in August. But things soon went bad…

“Drew hadn’t pegged Justin as a slob, but he started acting like a frat boy; Left his stuff everywhere and never picked a thing up,” says the source. “It drove her nuts!”

Drew and this Mac fan-boy from hell then held a pow-wow and she laid it all out, “Drew told Justin that things would be better if he went back to his own place,” we are told. “Then it would be special when they’re together – not like some old married couple.”

But it seems the fade-out on their romance is not scheduled just yet, “It was really the wake up call he needed,” says a friend of the actor. “He knows Drew’s a great girl and he’s going to do everything he can to make her happy.”

Oh, he will. Drew will make sure of that. And with a spine that anemic I foresee wedding bells…

“My collection is really about New York,” Irina told the judges, before showing off her sluightly bulky, mostly black, but wonderfully complex line.

All 13 looks were about beating the elements of the big city, and featured some very cool t-shirts under heavy, pleated coats.

The colors were a bit drab, mostly blacks and grays, and it was a point that the judges made a note of.

However, when it came down to it, she was announced the winner.

Althea Harper came in second place, with her collection based on classic science fiction. While her work was especially interesting and eye grabbing, she was accused of trying to ‘hit too many notes’.

Althea shouldn’t fear, however. There has already been a draw of interest to her designs, and she may find herself coming out on top herself, regardless of losing the main prize.

Following the indulgent press-stunt with her Twitter account in October, Miley – who turns 17 next Monday – is now playing more mind games, refusing to confirm whether she and movie co-star Liam Hemsworth are a couple or not.

The pair met in rehearsals for the upcoming movie, ‘The Last Song’ and Miley says she was struck from day one;

“I heard a rumor that he didn’t really want the role,” she told the Daily Telegraph’s scribes. “Then he came in to audition and he’s amazingly good-looking, super-confident and he doesn’t realize how blessed he is to be in this movie. This is such a big opportunity for both of us.’ she gushed.

The film’s story is centered on a rebellious girl sent to live by one of Georgia’s glorious beaches for a long, lonely Summer in the home of her father.  She soon gets involved with some bad guys, but is then saved by one good one – played by Hemsworth.

The on-screen chemistry was perfect, but rumors soon started that the pair were connecting off-screen as well;

“I started talking to him, and he was just the most genuine, sweet person,” says Miley. “The second audition came around, and the chemistry was instant. We saw each other and both lit up; We were so excited to get to work and learn together.”

The movie opens nationwide on April 2nd, and at this rate the mind-numbing pre-release hype could outstrip even Twilight!

P.S.  One of Miley Cyrus‘ tour buses crashed on Friday morning, killing one person and injuring another; Let’s dispell any false rumors, Cyrus was not on the bus that crashed and will perform tonight as scheduled in North Carolina.  It’s possible that the bus driver that was killed may have suffered a heart attack or something, that caused the bus to crash.

The two began sleeping together while both were still married, in a little ironic twist to the whole story.

However, while he may have cheated at least once, Cibrian is allegedly outraged by the claims that he would cheat on LeAnn.

He is now suing the magazine for $1 million dollars in a ‘defamation of character’ suit.

Well, Eddie, this is what happens. You have been accused of using LeAnn as a meal ticket, and now you sue for a million? Just doesn’t look good, my friend.

The 61-year old frontman has announced he’s taking a two-year sabbatical away from the band, and that decision plus Steve’s recent health has some of his band-mates concerned.

“I think he needs help, and some attention needs to be applied to his health,” the band’s drummer, Joe Kramer told People.

And Kramer does not mean the broken shoulder Steve suffered when he fell off the stage at a gig in Sturgis on August 5.

A recovering addict, Steve battled major addictions in the 70’s and 80’s, but then did rehab and has claimed to be clean ever since. But he’s recently closed himself off from both the band and the world, and this now has Kramer concerned;

“He’s got some bad influences in his life now, and he’s making some very poor choices.” Joe mused.

And such odd behavior has had serious fallout; The band’s 2009 tour was littered with shows that got canceled due to what his band-mates now benignly refer to as Steve’s “erratic and unpredictable” behavior.

“It wasn’t an overnight change. It’s been progressively getting out of hand,” says guitarist Brad Whitford. “His behavior is spinning out of control. I don’t know where he is or what he’s doing, and we’re all kinda worried about his well-being.”

Meanwhile, Steve has told friends he wants to make his own music, and maybe produce at least one solo album. He’s also working on a personal memoir and told Rolling Stone back in August that he was “sober as can be” when he fell off that stage.

So what are his plans? “He’s concentrating on his book while his shoulder heals,” says his rep.

Well, he’d better write fast – his bandmates are already said to be scouting replacements; “It’s hard for me to imagine getting on stage without Steven,” says Kramer. “But he needs to take care of his health first and get help in order for there to be a future for an Aerosmith that includes him.”
