Acoustic Guitars are a classical style using nylon strings and are hollow.Classical Guitars have nylon strings and produce a much softer sound and is suited for classical and latin style music.

Acoustic Steel-Stringed Guitars can have 6 or 12-string. They have a good variety of sound variations from a brassy, folk style to a fuller, more driving sound. The quality of the guitar like the body shape and the types of wood used determine the quality overall.

Acoustic Bass Guitars are wide-bodied guitars and used for accompaniment in ballads, certain types jazz music .

Electric Guitars are what they call the workhorse of rock music. Electric guitars require an amplifier to produce sound properly. The two most popular basic shapes of electric guitar are the fender Stratocastor and the gibson les paul style.

Electric Bass Guitars is used for rock, dance,hip-hop, funk and rap music. One of the distinguishing features of the bass guitar is the slap style. Slapping is done by repeatedly striking the string - usually E or A on a standard tuned bass .

Archtop guitars is hollow or semi-hollow body acoustic or electric guitar which uses steel strings and has an arched top which creates unique resonance. They also tend to have f-holes on the top.

The Twelve stringed guitar is usually an acoustic instrument. Twelve string guitars have string like a regular six stringed guitar, but they also have a second set of thinner strings, usually tuned up an octave, beside each regular string. They produce more of a ringing tone in sound and are much harder to play.

Amy Jade Winehouse Born 14th of September 1983 Is an English soul and jazz singer and songwriter

Amy Winehouse has a unique style, most notably her former signature beehive hairstyle.

The singer's (and her husband's) struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, as well as self-destructive behaviour, became regular tabloid news in 2007. They have also been plagued by legal troubles that have led to the cancellation of several tour dates.

Winehouse was recently written off in the February 4 edition of Time Magazine, which detailed some of the above stated legal and publicity issues.

WoodWind Instruments are played by a vibration of a mouthpiece

A Flute comes in three parts and is used by blowing into the mouth piece and using finger holes to control the sound

A Recorder is played via a mouth piece and again is used via finger holes to control the sound.

A Piccolo is like the flute except it is smaller and is either made of wood or silver , the pitch of a piccolo is much than the oboe.

A Clarinet has seven pieces and a reed that you put together and most upper keys are operated by the left hand and the lower keys by the right hand

The English Horn is very similar to that of a oboe ,at one time the english horn did have curves and shapes but the modern ones are now straight . It has a curve in the mouthpiece enabling the person to hold close to there bodies and has been known to be a difficult instrument to learn and looks like a extra long flute

The Bassoon is a double reed instrument which curves around a U tube.The top of the instrument projects above the players head. It is quite a strange looking instrument .

The Oboe does look similar to that of a clarinet and is normally made of wood with metal keys.The mouthpiece of an oboe is basically two small pieces of reed. The player blows air in between the reeds, making them vibrate against each other.

Brass Instruments Are PLayed By using A Vibration Of The Lips When The Player Blows Into The Instrument

The FrenchFrenchFrench Horn has five parts:

Mouthpiece, mouthpipe, the bell, the body, and the valve sysytem and part of the brass instrument family, consists of tubing wrapped into a coil with a large flared bell

The Trombone consists of a cylindrical tube bent into an elongated shape , the smallest being at the mouthpiece receiver, and the largest being at the throat of the bell.

The mouthpiece is related to that of a trumpet and is inserted in the slide section.

The Trombone is considered a cylindrical bore instrument and can slide from one note to another and has no valves and part of the brass family.

The Trumpet is one of the oldest musical instruments

They are constructed of brass tubing bent into an oblong shape and are played by blowing air through closed lips.

The Tuba is the largest member of the brass Instruments

It is the largest member of the brass family and also has the lowest sounding

String instruments are played by Picking,Plucking,Strumming or bowing the strings.

The Acoustic Guitar these are normally made out of wood and are hollow and produce very pleasant sounds via the strings, there are many types of acoustic guitars such as classical, steel top, arch top and resonator, you will see these types when looking at buying an acoustic guitar and the classical being a very good guitar for beginners .

The Fiddle being very similar to that of a violin and is used for many dance routines and is much easier to play than a violin

The Harp has colour coded strings and run vertically and is seated behind the body. Its design is of an S shape at the top going into a V either side

The Cello is a large instrument with 4 strings and part of the violin family and played with a bow

The Double Bass is the largest of the string family instruments and has the lowest pitch, they are made out of wood and can be played with a bow or ny plucking the strings

The Banjo is a stringed instrument with a circular body and a thin neck , the classical banjo has 4-5 strings but some have six and these ones are played like a guitar. Banjo music is associated with country and western music

The Ukulele is similar to that of a guitar , A stringed instrument normally played by the bare thumb and comes in different sizes

The Viola is held under the chin, resting on the shoulder and is very similar to that of violin , but bigger with lower notes

The Violin the most used of string instruments has very high sounds four strings and is played via a bow

The Zither has five strings and is stretched over a finger board and produces mellow guitar sounds and come in many shapes and size.

Percussion Instruments Are Played By banging Or Shaking The Instrument

The Tambourine is a small hand drum with a thin base on top of a wooden ring base, It also has several lose metal discs attached to the sides so when shaken it makes many different sounds.

The Triangle is a bar of metal made into a triangle shape and normally made out of steel , one of the angles are left open to allow for different sound effects

Maracas are native instruments and sold in pairs, they are made out of wood, leather or plastic and filled with dried beans or seeds. You shake them to get the different sounds,

A Kettledrum is made from a special skin material being stretched over a large bowl normally made from copper , they also have a pedal attached to allow for tuning of the drum, you strike the drum with an instrument called a timpani stick

A Gong is a flat metal disc which you hit with a stick or mallet , there are several types of gongs and shapes

The Rainsticks are made from bamboo sticks and filled with seeds or pebbles and closed both ends, sounds like rainfall when moved around , or can be used as a shaker instrument

The Xlophone is made up of wooden bars of different lengths and can be tuned normally from the longer bars being the low notes and the shorter bars being the higher notes.and then you strike the instrument with either a mallet made from wood or plastic.

The Piano sounds are re-produced when the keys are pressed against the strings which are striked from a felt covered hammer, the hammers rebound allowing the strings to vibrate in reproducing different sounds.

Cymbals are thin pieces of round metal and can be cup shaped or flat that you clap together to make the different sounds, but are also widely used with drum sets.
