Kiehl’s and Kaws Limited-Edition Creme de Corps

Skincare brand Kiehl’s teamed up with New York based artist, KAWS to recreate the Creme de Corps design label. 100% of the proceeds from the Limited-Edition bottles will support RxART. Also, the special edition bottle caps seen above on the first bottle, will be sold exclusively at Colette for Europe by the end of November retailing for $77(US). 100% of those profits will go to “Les Orphelins du Sida”.

The classic Creme de Corps is one of my favorite skincare items from Kiehls. It was actually around this time last year I did a giveaway for the entire collection so who knows, I might do a repeat this year. Creme de Corps is a wonderful body moisturizer and the perfect winter item especially if you suffer from dry, flaky skin. Makes a great holiday gift too!

When it comes to fashion and style, Lady Gaga doesn’t hold back. Known for her crazy, eccentric fashion choices, Lady Gaga poses for a series of bizarre pics for Hello Kitty in celebration of the white cat’s 35th birthday. The pictures were photographed by Markus Klinko and Indrani and will be featured on the cover of the limited edition reissue of Lady Gaga’s successful album, The Fame.

It’s also been reported that for every sale of the box-set, she is donating a lock of her hair. Wow!!!! I don’t even know how to respond to that.

The box set will also include 3-D glasses to view the pictures and the definitive “Book of Gaga”. Lady Gaga is an interesting human being and an attention-getter with her outrageous fashion choices. She’s confident and fabulous! MAC Cosmetics loves Gaga too!

Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper for MAC AIDS Fund

Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper are the latest spokespeople for the MAC Viva Glam campaign. The newest campaign “From Our Lips”, will officially launch February 25, 2010 featuring MAC Viva Glam Gaga lipstick and MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick both for $14. It will be available in North America and globally March 18th and 100% of the proceeds will go to the MAC Aids Fund.

The MAC AIDS Fund has invested more than $150 million to organizations in more than 67 countries since its founding in 1994.

Steve Madden for Olsenboye Footwear and Accessories

Back in October, I reported that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are starting another venture called Olsenboye, a teen clothing line for JC Penney. According to WWD, Steve Madden Ltd has signed on to create a footwear and accessories collection for the Olsenboye line which will launch November 6th. The Olsenboye footwear line will feature colorful suede flats and canvas sneakers both very casual. The accessories line will include handbags just like this slouched shape, plaid print and acid wash bag above. The collection will soon be available this holiday season at JC Penney and on jcp.com.

Forever 21 is stepping into the beauty world to launch a makeup line. With their stores selling so many fabulous trends, I think it’s wonderful to start a new venture such as a makeup collection. Save Your Skin From Winter Weather

The cool days are officially starting, and here at Syracuse that means the cold days are just around the corner. I can just feel the winter depression setting in, and my skin feels the same way. My hands are already dry and eczema is surfacing. Yeah, I think that definitely makes someone wanna hold my hand…if that someone also happens to have winter lizardy skin.

As if losing your summer bronze glow isn’t bad enough, the cold wind and weather does some serious damage to your skin. And your precious face and dainty hands get the worst of it, as they most often feel the harshness of the cold air. So how can you protect your skin without staying in your room all day? (No, that isn’t an option; professors don’t care about your skin that much.)

Below are some suggestions to get your skin back to the baby’s-bottom-soft feel of summer. No more cracking, flaking or drying out this winter, women.

Hands: If your skin is only mildly dry or you just want to prevent it from happening, a thick cream will do the trick. Try L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Hand Cream or Bliss’ High Intensity Hand Cream. And keep that stuff with you wherever you go; skin dries out quickly in the winter-time and you want to be prepared.
