Este ano será um grande desfio para o Turismo e Hotelaria Nacional. 

Assistimos a um grande esforço por parte da população para que o Estado coloque as contas em dia, No terceiro trimestre de 2011 o IVA do gás e electricidade aumentou de 13 para 23%. Em Janeiro aumentou o IVA da restauração também de 13 para 23%. E uma contracção do mercado interno é como que garantida.

Na generalidade dos grupos ou unidades hoteleiras o departamento de vendas e o departamento de marketing estão agregados num único departamento. Porque é que isto acontece? A resposta é simples. Além de esses dois departamentos ao estarem agregados proporcionam uma redução de custos, eles complementam-se de tal modo que não faz sentido estarem separados. Para gerar vendas é necessário que

Os modelos da hotelaria actuais
foram baseados em grandes hoteleiros no final do Séc. XIX e primeira metade do
Séc. XX, cujas cadeias ainda existem e assumem um papel muito importante na hotelaria

Muitos de nós por vezes esquece-mo-nos da importância deste departamento num hotel. Mas na verdade é este departamento que faz com que o hotel funcione eficientemente, desde as condutas de água, esgotos, circuitos eléctricos equipamentos e muito mais.

A minha experiência profissional diz-me que na hotelaria nunca existem problemas. Nos dias que correm, cada vez mais os jovens qualificados tem dificuldade em encontrar emprego. São os jovens o futuro do país, mas é necessário muito trabalho e dedicação ao longo do curso além das disciplinas e estágios.

Considero que os hotéis nos últimos anos têm apostado fortemente na venda directa através da Internet, e uma maior aproximação para com os clientes e potenciais clientes, mas mais uma vez digo e reforço a ideia de que mais importante do que ter presença na Internet é a informação a utilidade que este proporciona aos clientes.
