Also near is the Cultures of the World Festival which is 10 days duration in July again with many different countries participating in a festival of dancing and music. Food and wine lovers will be pleasantly surprised by this region. Visit vineyards whereby you can taste and purchase at a good price excellent wines. Locally there are some excellent restaurants and auberges, and of course, Auvergne is the cheese basket of France, so you will be spoilt trying all the different cheeses of the region.
