The Day is Nigh

After what seemed like an eternity, the hour of my departure to Kenya is at hand. The time has flown to where we are nearing the Seminar and Open-Air meetings. The local organizing pastor John Juma has called me several times over the past few weeks. The pastors who will be attending the Seminars and supporting the Outreach are very excited and motivated. This excitement also floods my heart and moves me with emotion that an opportunity is made for the Lord God Almighty to move as only He can, liberating the captives, breaking the chains asunder, releasing His Power to save millions across the nations of Africa.

Child of God, have you sat back and just allowed the Spirit of God to lay a burden for the lost on your heart? A burden for the millions and millions all over the world who have never heard this glorious message of Hope and Salvation through the Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus, God's sacrificial Lamb, who gave His life on Calvary so that all who believe on Him shall not perish but have life everlasting? Millions slipping into eternity even as I type this blog entry. People who have longed for a Redeemer, a God that can save them from their peril, save them from a Christless eternity but never had a Bible in his own language? Never heard the Gospel message preached? Never heard the Gospel over the radio?. As they face death and the very thought of an eternity without God, Without Hope, without Grace, without the knowledge that they have been purchased at a price, saved and set free through Jesus Christ but have not met Him nor has the Truth shone in their hearts, fear grips their hearts? A Christless grave and an eternity without a second chance. How can they hear this message of the Greatest Love without a preacher, how can one preach if he is not sent? How can he answer the call to go if no-one calls or sends? Oh God, please call men and women to be witnesses for the Gospel of Christ, men and women who will not count their lives dear but willingly accept that this Gospel may require them to be Martyred, imprisoned, beaten, bruised, stoned to death, all for the Gospel? Reader, what is your answer? If the question that is posed to Bible students in Asia when they graduate from Bible College was posed to you, what would your reply be? They are asked: "When you leave this College as a minister or worker and you are to be beaten, stoned to death, jailed or martyred, what will you do? Will you willing go to serve Him who called you to His Gospel? You guessed right. They answer: "I will be obedient to the Master's Voice and answer the call. If it costs my life to see souls saved, I will willingly pay that price!" Will you? Will I?

When talking of the lost, I am not even talking about the millions of people living in the Westernised world where the Gospel message has no more impact on the souls of a Christ-denying generation. A generation who have seen the miracles, heard hundreds of sermons, who have been challenged with the Gospel so many times to accept Christ as their Saviour and not done so. The many so-called "Christians", who numbing their cold consciences by attending a church service every now and then but not walking in a relationship with the Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ. Imbibing in bouts of drunken frenzy, using the Name of the Saviour of the world as a curse and swear word, joking about Christ Jesus, God the Father, The Holy Spirit, The church, Christianity and the ministers of our day. I realise that the lives of these men and women to whom the Gospel message has been entrusted, lived in a fashion that brought disrepute against the aforementioned, that it has become just that. A joke with no impact.
I would ask you to read the book written by David Wilkinson, author of "The Cross and the Switch-blade", about "Sipping Saints." A book written without pulling punches but addressing the sad dilemma of the Church of our hour. So many vices practised by the very men and women who are to an example of the Love and Life of Christ to the world, found gambling, whether at casino's or the Lottery, placing horse-racing bets, bound by pornography, having easy access via the Internet in the privacy of their homes, many Christians, ministers, elders, members all ogling hours on end of the lustful pictures, ensnaring themselves in the spider's web of lust. Spending hours on the Internet but just a few minutes to prepare sermons that do not touch on the needs of the millions of lost souls and we wonder why revival tarries. The Prayer closets are empty and silent. No tears shed over the situation of the lost. Prayer meetings are Bitter meetings. Bitter because no-one has the spirit of prayer to quicken the meetings. No sir, I am speaking of the lost in the 10/20 window, There where the Hindu's, Tamil's and many Asians live where millions of demi-gods are served, where the Gospel is needed. What are we going to do? Sit back and sing "I am on my way to Heaven, singing, singing, always singing, I am on my way to Heaven" or will the Holy Ghost today warm your heart to repent of our "attitude of taking everything for granted" and not being involved in the misitry to reach the unreached?

Afrikaans-speaking Churches in South Africa advertise the Prayer Meeting as "Biduur", which when translated means Prayer Hour but we sing for half hour, someone preaches between 20 - 30 minutes then we pray for 5 minutes and sing another chorus or two before closing the meeting. What has happened to the Early Church type All Night Prayer Meetings? My God, we need to be quickened by the Spirit of God, that You can once more visit the Body of Christ with Anointing, Power and Revival.

Children have access to this smut and filth without parental guidance and intervention. Left to themselves with a "bribe" of money to allow the parents time-out, these children are pulled into the deep dark underworld of these vices. Drugs, orgies, drunkenness, revelling, lustful teenagers and younger are drawn further away from God, by being swallowed up in sin. Fathers and mothers who are not examples of God-fearing, praying and clean-living men and women of God. Without examples, what must the children follow. They are tired of seeing the hypocrite parents crying and praying in the services but living a double life outside the walls of the sanctuary.
Youth meetings fail to attract the crowds because the churches do not have a message that is relevant to the needs of the young people. Drive past churches in your neighbourhood on a Sunday evening. Some churches have even closed the Sunday evening services because of the lack of interest by the flocks of those churches. Where is the anguish of the Prayers of Christ in Gethsemane? What of the Supreme Price of Golgotha? The agony of feeling alone on the cross of shame where Jesus the Son of God cried out: "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabagtani! My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?" His precious Life-Blood that stained the wooden cross, the earth around the cross, all shed for you and I also the billions-upon-billions who would come to God through this sacrifice, being reconciled through the death on the cross. Was it all in vain? Are we who have the Truth, that "...no man cometh to the Father but by Me" and '...that all who believe on Him shall have Life everlasting" not going to be moved to be a disciple of Christ, worthy of this Gospel? Are these just words that we learn to recite at Sunday School without any true meaning to you and I? The millions behind the Iron and Bamboo curtains, in Communistic and Muslim-governed countries hear these word and respond to them by accepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour. They know the reality and the cost associated with their decision. They are prepared to suffer for this wonderful Gospel that set them free.

Years ago, I remember an elderly couple visited our church in the city of Welkom in the Orange Free States Province in South Africa. The old man's suit was worn and faded but clean. His old wife did not have shiny clothes or jewellery on, her long greying hair tied back in a bun. The couple requested to render an item. The pastor almost refused but then looked past their outward appearance and afforded them the opportunity. When the time came, they stepped up the platform with reverence. I was seated on the platform next to the office bearers and pastor. As the old man took his old violin out of it's case and placed the bow on the strings, we felt the presence and anointing of God fill that platform They started singing a song I had never heard before. As they harmonized the words hit home. Tears were flowing down almost every person in the meeting's cheeks. I vaguely remember the words as they sang the 4 verses, as we never sang that song in any church I had visited in our denomination. I have taught many churches the chorus in many meetings I have held:

"It's dripping with Blood, yes, dripping with Blood,
This Holy Ghost Gospel is dripping with Blood
The blood of disciples, who died for the Truth
This Holy Ghost Gospel is dripping with Blood"

Throughout the centuries, all from John the Baptist as the first man to die for this Holy Ghost Truth right up to today where men and women still lay down their lives for this Truth, the blood cries from the earth to God, the price of Salvation is paid in Blood.

I have been invited to minister in Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan (98% Muslim and the 2% make up all the other religions), in Ghana, Cameroon and Liberia. These are but a few of the places to reach in 2012. Without your prayers to support me I cannot achieve what the Lord has planned for me. What I am to expect I do not know. This has not been revealed to me but I am willing to fulfil the call of God even at a price. It is no longer I who liveth but Christ who liveth in me. All I ask reader, brother, sister, if God lays or ministry on your heart to support us through prayers and financial offerings, please be obedient. In thus doing, you will have part in the Harvest of precious souls who come to know Christ through a minister who maybe was born again in one of the meetings, accepted the call of God, prepared themselves and led many souls to Christ. In whatever way you contributed to this ministry, part of that harvest is for your account in heaven. He went where we could not.

Would you be able to sing this old chorus?

"Please Lord use me, yes Lord don't refuse me
for surely there's a work that I can do
Even though I stumble, Lord teach me to be humble
and whate'er the cost I'll work for you"

God is calling in this dark hour for labourers in the Vineyard, in the fields of the world. Listen carefully. They resound down the ages - "Go ye into all the world..." "Go ye..."Go ye..."

The Heading of this post says "The Day Is Nigh" and it is true in many ways. The Day for Africa is nigh, the day for Africa to have God usher in a revival is nigh. The Day of the Return Of The Lord Jesus Christ Is Nigh. The Day For My Journey To Kenya Is Nigh. I have answered: "Here am I lord, send me..." Will you help me to go and be obedient to the Divine Call?

KENYA AND NIGERIA - MACEDONIAN CALL

G-d is good and works in mysterious ways. Whenever there is a need in the "Church" (I say this meaning the broader body of believers = church), G-d always hears the prayers of His people and finds ways and means to fill that need. Like the Macedonian Call the Apostle Paul received through a night-vision.

Paul had been travelling through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, where they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the Word, the Gospel in Asia and again they had come into Mysia and tried to go into Bithynia, "...but the Spirit did not permit them.". The Spirit of G-d knew of someone in Macedonia who needed Paul's message of salvation through Jesus the Christ. So during the night, G-d spoke to the Apostle Paul through this vision of the night. Paul saw a man of Macedonia. "A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying: "Come over to Macedonia and help us." " (Acts 16:6 - 10)
Paul immediate concluded that the Lord had called them to preach the Gospel in Macedonia and sought to go there quickly. They sailed to Troas immediately.concluding that the Lord wanted them to preach in Macedonia. they then went to Phillipi and on their first Sabbath, Paul and his group met at the river where a group of people had gathered together for prayer. Paul spoke to the women and a seller of purple goods named Lydia, accepted the Word of G-d and she and her house were baptized.

There going to Macedonia bore fruit. A work was started and G-d was moving in power. The rest of the chapter is wonderful reading and lends itself to many different thoughts and sermons. I however, would like to focus our attention to the things that led the Apostle Paul and his entourage to Phillipi. The way that that the Holy Spirit leads and guides His servants in the will of G-d. Having an open ear is what counts. Being in tune with G-d to discern his voice and leading is what walking in a close relationship with G-d, brings forth. Spending much time in prayer and fasting, learning to discern G-d's voice and understanding His leading.

During the past few weeks, I have had a certain uncertainty about the direction that G-d was leading us into. I had pastored a church in Louis Trichardt (now called Makhado), in the Limpopo Province some years ago. This was a mainly Black congregation with only a few White families as members. It was a very spirited congregation. The congregants united in the projects I proposed, raising funds for a Building Fund, for the purchase of land and to build our own Church building. These people worked together at all our street sales and what touched my heart more than once was their willingness to partake in the church program. During the year of 1993, we united with other congregations in our town in an effort to reach our city with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke's plan of "Every Home For Christ". "The Jonah Project" was initiated and we as Fraternity in Louis Trichardt's churches, decided to implement the program to win "EVERY HOME FOR CHRIST".
The congregants of the church I pastored were so enthusiastic, that at every meeting and every door-to-door outreach, our people filled almost one half of the pews while the rest of the churches in Louis Trichardt would hardly fill two rows. This spoke of dedication and commitment. Commitment not to me as their pastor, but to the call of the Gospel - "Go ye..."

After moving on to plant other churches, operating in the office of an Evangelist for most of my ministry, I never thought that I would travel through Africa, preaching the gospel. I always had this dream of preaching in the Southern States of the USA. I must admit that every time I saw photo's of the masses, responding to the Gospel invitation, I would be moved by my emotions of the plight of the lost. The look of hopelessness in their eyes before they find the peace that Jesus gives.
I started receiving requests from pastor who wanted to join me on Facebook. It was there that a certain pastor asked me to come to Kenya and hold seminars for 200 pastors and open air meetings thereafter. I "cut and paste" a portion of the e-mail I received in my inbox today, February 5, 2012:

The dates of the meetings are 19th to 22nd,April 2012.

The seminars will be from 9am to 1pm then open air meetings will be as from 3pm onwards, this will be for 4 days.

Our churches have got intercessors that will be able to pray for the meetings.Do you want to send some before the meetings? You can give us advice in any area you feel that needs changes,please you are allowed.

The cost of this meetings is 4000 USD, this is an everage meeting, but if we want to have a big meeting that we can advivertise on the radio and on the Television can cost 20000 USD.(Twenty thousand dollars)

The Hotel for your accomodation, there are some which are too cheap that costs 2000 kenya shillings per day, and at the Beach hotels it costs 9000 per day.

I have also since we first started discussing this event, been approached to visit Nigeria. Then came an invitation to Ghana and even to visit Pakistan. I need you to pray with me for the leading of the Holy Spirit for the dates, the things that G-d wants to achieve and for the finances for these outreaches. The church in Pakistan will support only 20% of the total costs of the outreach. The African churches are able to pay for taxi fares and accommodation but not the other costs These I will have to bear for my account.

I know that G-d will make a way. I also know that He works according to our faith and that all the cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him. Also All the silver and all the Gold belong to G-d. He is able to meet the need (not our greed). I can honestly say that I am not in the Gospel for the money. This is my love-offering but the word has very clear teachings about stewardship and finances in the Gospel for those who work in the Gospel are to live from the Gospel. My prayers are that G-d will open the floodgates of heaven, pouring out His favour upon the nations who are willing to accept His Son, Jesus the Christ as their Saviour and to see the Gospel message confirmed with miracles, signs and portents. May G-d usher in a new move, a fresh revival before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your prayers and mine, mingled with faith and tears, can assist the churches in every region, to reach out to the masses so that we can "Plunder Hell And Populate Heaven" (Quote - Pastor and Evangelist Reinhardt Bonnke).

LOOKING FOR MULTI-AUTHORS TO POST ON MY BLOGS

I have these two blogs. Christian blogs. The House of Mercy Ministries (http://www.houseofmercyministries.blogspot.com) and The House Of Mercy International (http://www.houseofmercyint.blogspot.com). Intended to be for a church I was starting but then felt led by the Lord to make them an Online ministry. I know that currently there is a lot of duplication due to some widget in Blogger that cross-copied the posts. This is the reason I need different content. To make each one unique. Any ideas will be appreciated and all suggestions will be considered.

I am appealing to you, if you are an author of a blog, or a writer who has experienced the Salvation through Jesus Christ, is born again and is living a sanctified life, to contribute my means of posting material that will tell of the Love of G-d and His Saving grace. If you have been saved and have a testimony that you must share, telling of the miraculous power of G-d that is able to save from the 'gutter-most to the uttermost', this must be shared. If you have been healed from sickness or disease, maybe delivered from demonic oppression or possession by the divine Hand of G-d, I'm asking you to please submit this material so that I can moderate it then post it on one of these blogs. This blog is to be for the Glory of G-d and the establishing of His Kingdom on earth. May this blog reverberate the Lord's Prayer: Thy Kingdom come, on earth as it is in Heaven. You see friends, it's not about you and I, but all about G-d.

There are so many thousands of wonderful people who have been hurt in church, now sitting at home with no-one ministering to their broken lives. Thousands more who have been disillusioned and myriads of folk who have never been to church before. Millions of people in the 10 - 40 Window over Asia who have never held a Bible in their hands, who have never heard the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ preached and taught in Love, who would surrender their lives to Jesus had they heard this message. The message of "No greater love than this..." Jesus laying down His life to take it up again. It's not a Gospel of death but of Life. He arose from the grave triumphant. Hallelujah. Jesus is alive.

We have been saved by G-d with a purpose. Called with a goal in mind. Commissioned to win the lost. Anointed and appointed to witnesses of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Called to lead souls to Christ and demonstrate the Power of G-d. Called to disciple the masses. Jesus said: " Follow me and I will make you fishers of men" not called to sit the pews warm and listen to all sermons but to "Go..into all the world....make disciples..."

Dit gaan oor die Evangelie wat bedien moet word sodat "..nie een verlore sal gaan nie maar dat almal gered sal word". Die wil van G-d is dat die wêreld gered moet word. Dat mense weer na Hom toe sal terugkeer, hulle harte open en hul lewens weer met opregte toewyding aan Hom sal toewy. (This is Afrikaans - let Google translate it for you).

G-d gave His only begotten Son so that all who believe in Him should not perish but have life eternal. G-d gave His very best. What will you and I give?

Please assist me with this task of reaching the lost, the cold, the back-slidden, the lukewarm BEFORE the Imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ.

PRAY WITH AND FOR ME. YOUR PRAYERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT! PRAY FOR ALL MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL THAT G-D GIVE US OPEN DOORS TO MINISTER THROUGH.

If you have not surrendered your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ yet, have not accepted Him as your personal Saviour, not confessed your sin, won't you take a moment to pray this prayer prayerfully, out loud as though it was your own prayer?

Dear Father G-d, I come to You today, just as I am with all my faults and sins. I confess that I am a sinner. I cannot save myself and I need a Saviour. I believe that Jesus The Christ, is the Son of the Living G-d, sent to die in my stead. He who knew no sin became sin so that I could become the Righteousness of G-d through His death on the cross and through His resurrection.

I believe that He offers me Life Eternal with Him by me accepting His sacrifice and I ask you Father to forgive me my sins. I repent with all my heart and am sorry Lord that I sinned against You. Cleanse my heart from all sins and unrighteousness which I now rebuke and lay them at your Feet. I confess that You take away my many sins through the death of Christ, changing me to be a new man in Christ. The old sinful nature is now dead and I am alive in Christ Jesus, a New Creation. My sins are forgiven and You will never think of or to remember them any more. I accept that the Blood of Jesus Your Son, cleanses me from all sin and unrighteousness. Take hold of my hand and lead me in Your Ways, teaching me to hold to Your Word, the Bible, the Word of G-d. I am saved by Grace and not of myself that I might boast. I am now a born-again son. Thank You for saving my soul and making me whole. Help me to live for You from today forth.
Every fetter and chain is broken and I am free for Your Word says the the Truth, Jesus the Word, will set me free an if the Truth has set me free, I am free indeed. Amen an Amen

Tonight is Graduation night for our 2011 students. They will be rewarded for their hard work during the past semesters.
I would personally want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to each student who applied the words of the Apostle Paul in his Epistle to Timothy in:

PRAYER - THE CHRISTIAN'S DUTY OR LOVE OFFERING?

Prayer. Time spent in the presence of G-d. Or has it become a difficult time for you?

Prayer was always considered to be the heartbeat, the pulse, the Breath of Life to the Christian disciple. A special time. A time of expression. A time when we meet with Father, Son and Holy Ghost. A time of worship, praise and thankfulness. Lifting up the Name of Jesus. Lifting Him high so that others may be drawn to the Father through Christ Jesus. A time of refreshing. Times of renewal. A time of penance for ourselves and for our friends, relatives, nation and others in need. Oh our need to be in Him in prayer!
That precious place here we experience joy in the Lord. Crying, weeping, confessing the sins of our nation and our own, our leaders and our people, whose hearts have waxed cold and sin crept into their lives. Being sorry for the state that we as what was once referred to as a G-d Fearing people, now but a mere shadow of what once was. A time of calling on the Lord for forgiveness, petitioning, interceding, laying our burdens at His feet. Our churches and their leaders needing guidance from on high, needing to realize our deep dependence on G-d in making a difference to our world. A positive difference. Turning the hearts of the people back to G-d. We need to be revived in our own hearts FIRST! Turn our own hearts back to G-d. Allow the Holy Spirit to show us what we look like to Father. Removing the log out of our own eye before telling our brother to remove the splinter out of his eye?!?

But - through time and our rushed lives, we seldom get to spend quality time in His Presence. Our first love is lost. Our zeal and fervour have waned! You hear it in the "dead sermons preached by dead preachers falling on the ears of dead congregants" (Leonard Ravenhill referred to this in his book "Why Revival Tarries"). Moses spent time with G-d on the Mountain and when he returned to the children of Israel, was asked to cover his face because the Glory of G-d shone forth from it, blinding those who looked upon him. Oh Lord, that we would return to that first love and be changed into Your likeness. That Your Shekinah Glory be seen on us.

To many, the prayer meeting at the local assembly is not a time of prayer, but singing and preaching. In Afrikaans we advertize the midweek Prayer meeting as a "Biduur", directly translated as Prayer (Bid) Hour (uur). I have knelt beside some brethren who are leaders in the assembly and listened to their 3 minute prayer. When we allow the Spirit of G-d to start praying protracted prayers through us, the spirit of prayer falls on people who submit to and desire to be in conversations with G-d. This spirit of prayer will fall on one, then another, and another until many are moved by this but where prayers are stifled and suppressed, people don't breakthrough into the Divine Presence of G-d and no special meetings occur. Many folk cannot even recite the "Our Father" prayer taught by Jesus as a model for us to pray by.

Prayer can be taught but only when you personally take time to seek the Lord, does it become effectual, fervent and filled with passion and fire. An old chorus rings out:

" Lord bring back, bring back those happy days,
when the Holy Ghost fell on every place
and the Love of G-d shone on every face,
Lord, bring back those happy days"

I want to open a page where we can write out our prayer requests. A place where concerned Children of G-d can unite in prayer, confession, raising our petitions, in repentance outside of the walls and barriers that separate us through dogma and teachings. We can hold our own dogmatical views yet be one in spirit and love. We can pray together that G-d's Will and Purpose be achieved and the Kingdom of G-d be properly established without losing our identity. In Christ Jesus, we have become one body.

Please feel free to post your requests so that many others can join in praying for your request and please remember to let us know when your prayers have been answered so that we can thank the Lord for answered prayers and be strengthened by your testimony that G-d can and always will answer prayer.

HOW DO WE DISCERN THE CRY OF THE GENUINE AND THE FALSE FOR BIBLES?

During the past couple of weeks, my inbox has been crammed, bombarded with mail mostly generating out of West Africa, (well-known for the amount of 419 and other scams in various forms), this time with a "Christian" appeal and flavour to them. Below I have copied and pasted my reply to one of them which seems a little different from the other two I also copied and pasted for your review and feedback.

We do not want our Christian giving and duty as stewards of His finances, to be abused. Neither do we want to sow our seed in unfruitful ground. As stewards, the investment must bring forth fruit and interest for the Master and His Kingdom.

Was I rash? Am I judgemental? I think not. Wouldn't like to be classed as that? Was I wrong in sending the e-mail response like I did? Let me know what your take on this is and how would you have responded?

I would much rather have flown into Nigeria with boxes of Bibles, visited the different churches and seen that these precious Bibles were handed over directly to the recipients, not for the glory, but knowing that the donations of good people went to the actual person intended by the giver. Not being in the position to do that, I have to research and spend time in prayer for absolute guidance. Will you join me in praying for discernment and that G-d speak to me (us) through His Word and Spirit?

The last days signal sinful, evil days. Days when Priest and Prophet imbibe in liquor and prophesy through strong drink (Liquor) and wine, but not out of the mouth of the Lord. People running to and fro as knowledge increases, just look on the Internet, yet the true Word of the Lord G-d is scarce. G-d sending a hunger and a thirsting after both the written and Spoken Word of the Lord without finding them.

I have empathy to your appeal and because I know that spiritual growth is dependant on getting the masses to read the Bible in their own languages but how do I discern who the true disciples and the false disciples are? My inbox has been flooded with requests for Bibles (mostly all in Giant Large Print for the elders and elderly folk), just as your appeal came to me. I have copied and pasted two other requests below so please read all the way through to the bottom of my reply.
What struck me was that in quite a few of the letters was that the content of the letters were the same or very similar and especially these two below, same address but the writers are different.

Where does this leave me? What are we to do about this? When we distribute Bibles, money, clothing and/or food to the destitute, the poor, the unemployed, those living in areas behind the Bamboo curtain and Middle East, we want to know that the seed is sowed in ground that will yield a harvest for the Kingdom of G-d. To sort through the genuine appeals and those of scammers becomes difficult. You may not believe it but even in this "free" democratic South Africa, we have many people both young and aged who have NEVER owned their own Bibles!

I personally have met many folk during our crusades and outreaches, who have asked me for a Bible of their own.

I am dismayed and appalled that there are people who will go to any lengths to scam churches, ministers and/or ministries for Bibles etc, for their own greed. I do not imply that you are crooked. If I have offended you, I apologize and ask forgiveness but you will have to convince me that my suspicions are ungrounded and you are the "Real Deal". I do not want a visitation from G-d to be misunderstood but I will definitely pray long and hard for an answer from Father about this.

I will post this in my blog and appeal to other Christian readers to pray with me that we can either know the truth and reach out in support of your cause or be warned by G-d to not allow the evil one to abuse the giving of well-meaning Christian brethren. Is this OK with you?

It was only a miracle that I managed to escape that night with myonly surviving son, but by the time the villagers got to know aboutwhy we were running from our village, they too planned to use us forrituals, and they believed we are accursed for believing in JesusChrist. But God had a purpose for me in life, and made one of theelders in the village to have compassion on us and let us escapebefore the day we were to be used as sacrifices to their gods. We eventually settled in O. Leprosy Centre where we were receivedwith open arms. We were free from all the disturbance as the lepersare rejected people in our society back here. I was afraid to preachthe gospel again as I was afraid of death. But on October 27, 1999,God spoke to me in my dream that I should not be afraid of death, fordeath is the gateway to eternity in Heaven for we thebelievers...that HE preserved me and allowed all those persecutionsto happen to me so I can serve him.... by the next day when I woke up I realise for the 4 years I have been with the orphans, none of them haveever heard of the gospel, and none of them knew anything about our Lordand Saviour Jesus Christ. One day a guest speaker was ministering in our church and he singled me out in a crowd of over a thousand and told me that God has called me to the ministry and cannot hide. After he left I told my pastor that I have accepted and my pastor and other elders of the church prayed with me. I immediately joined and headed the evangelical outreach of the church and I saw many coming to Christ in the outreach. I let go of my job in 2005 and returned to Edo my State. I joined a small local church and was assisting the pastor as the second pastor. In January 13th 2007 a pastor of a little church of about five families in my area walked up to me telling me that he is leaving the state to his home state where the Lord has asked him to go and start the work. He said he has been praying for over a month that the Lord has asked him to tell me to take over the little church he founded 2006. I have not had relationship with this pastor before now so it amazed me. He asked me to pray to ask the Lord. I did prayed and without wasting time I knew the Lord ask me to hold that little church and that was how I became the pastor of this church called Victory Chapel. The church is a growing church and we meet at a temporary rented building. We are earthly rich but rich in Christ, riches that will last for eternity.

The reason why I am writing is to appeal for your assistance in the area of a Study Bible which will be of help to me in my research and study of the bible as well as lesson preparation as a pastor, and bibles for our aged members. These items are very scarce here. I need The Dakes Annotated Reference Bible. It is a very good study Bible for ministers of the gospel. A pastor friend here got his from www.christianbook.com where it was purchase for him by his cousin abroad. I checked the site and also found it there. Please help me for it. There are many in our local church who do not have bibles and cannot afford to buy. I want to specifically make a request for the elderly ones who cannot work and earn money to buy for themselves. There are 12 of such very old fathers and mothers in our church who read and understand English and they are very devoted. Please on their behalf I request that you send them 12 Bibles the very big letters which is the super giant print 18 point type would be preferable for them because of their sight. They also have this kind of bible at www.christianbook.com. We would also appreciate used bibles provided the pages are complete. Thank you for considering this request. Many different vews are shared between different chuch denominations and laymen concerning the call of God on a person's life and the equipping for the Ministry. Some are set on a minister being fully equipped through a Thelogical Seminary, Bible School or Bible College, while many, even today, feel that God's call is sufficient and seeing that God called him or her, God will equip them Himself. But what does the Word of God have to say on this subject?

The first admonition by the Apostle Paul to the young preacher Timothy was: Study to shew thyself approved unto God...Why? a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (The Infallible Word of God, the Word of Truth -(my own words here added)).
In a time when false teachings are preached over Radio and Television, DVD's with misleading content are given out for Free, so many well-meaning Christians who are not properly founded in the Word of God, are misled and led astray, we need to have some background of Biblical teaching that can "rightly divide the word of tructh" from the deceptive lies of the enemy of our souls, the devil.2Ti 2:15

Study — Greek, “Be earnest,” or “diligent.”

to show — Greek, “present,” as in Rom_12:1.

thyself — as distinguished from those whom Timothy was to charge (2Ti_2:14).

approved — tested by trial: opposed to “reprobate” (Tit_1:16).

workman — alluding to Mat_20:1, etc.

not to be ashamed — by his work not being “approved” (Phi_1:20). Contrast “deceitful workers” (2Co_11:13).

rightly dividing — “rightly handling” [Vulgate]; “rightly administering” [Alford]; literally, cutting “straight” or “right”: the metaphor being from a father or a steward (1Co_4:1) cutting and distributing bread among his children [Vitringa and Calvin], (Luk_12:42). The Septuagint, Pro_3:6; Pro_11:5, use it of “making one’s way”: so Bengel here takes Paul to mean that Timothy may make ready a straight way for “the word of truth,” and may himself walk straight forward according to this line, turning neither to the right nor to the left, “teaching no other doctrine” (1Ti_1:3). The same image of a way appears in the Greek for “increase” (see on 2Ti_2:16). The opposite to “rightly handling,” or “dispensing,” is, 2Co_2:17, “corrupt the word of God.”

Sound Biblical teaching of the Truth of the Word of God is necessary and needed to guide millions of lost seeking souls to reconciliation with God, leading them to repentance, deliverance and a walk of faith in and ,with God as their new lifestyle. Even many Theologians today argue about the Virgin Birth, the sinless life on earth of Jesus the Son of God being Total man and still overcoming the sin that so easily besets us.... The do not believe in the Second Coming of Christ, teach the the Rapture has already taken place, cal our Gospel a Gospel of Blood, failing to understand that :
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Zimbabwe Crusade Update 1

I was so disappointed when our week-end trip had to be cancelled because our travel plans were not finalized. I was to fly up and back, but this never realized. It was very disheartening and the whole week-end I moped about not leaving.

I now know that God changes our disappointments in Divine appointments. Appointments where God intends doing things on His terms and not ours. Our time is not His time this is why we have to be sensitive to the Leading of the blessed Holy Spirit. Let go and let God have His wonderful way.

I have booked my ticket to Bulawayo and will be departing from Johannesburg on Thursday 10th March 2011 at 08h00 and arriving in Bulawayo the evening at 20h15.

WE WILL BE HOLDING OUR PLANNING SESSION AND APPOINTING A STEERING COMMITEE FOR THE CITY-WIDE CRUSADE FROM 11TH TO 18TH SEPTEMBER 2011

We appeal to all Christians to join in Prayer for these meetings and our preparation for the City-wide Crusade. We are expecting God to work miracles during these meeings. Physical healings and miracles, Spiritual healing of the inner man, the Power of God in deliverance from demonic oppression, possession, liberating captives and destroying the effects of poverty and abuse. My name is Rodney G Spray. A pastor for the past 27 years (now in 2011). I am married to my beautiful wife, Zuzette, who ministers along with me whenever possible. We reside in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa.

I minister through a strong Evangelistic and Prophetic message. I have planted 14 new churches (Through the office of Apostle) to date (2011), where the prophetic / apostolic ministry functioned and still functions. I fully rely solely on the Lord for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to work in our meetings, confirming the message through signs, portents and miracles. A called Evangelist and Prophet, (Isaiah 6; Jeremiah 1:4 - 12, 17 - 19;), not out of own interest or desire, but a definite calling to be sent by Father to preach the Gospel, (Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8; Ezekiel 2:1 through chapter 3:1-12, 16 - 22; 33:1 - 11). Preaching and teaching the Good News of the abounding Love of God, who sent His only begotten Son to this world as the supreme sacrifice (John 3:16), offering Salvation, Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness and Deliverance to all who believe through faith in the shed Blood of Calvary that whosoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:9-11; Acts 10:34 - 43; Ephesians 2:8 & 9 (saved by Grace and not by works); 1 John 1:5 - 8; 5:1- 5, 13; 2 Peter 3:9). Please read these verses of Scripture.

The Ministry is not based on a person of flesh and blood, myself or any other minister. The ministry is founded on the sure Foundation, Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone and the teachings of the Apostles and Prophets and the whole Truth of the Word of God. Holy men of old, inspired by the Spirit of God, spoke Prophetic uterrances giving birth to the Bible Truths about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, (1 Peter 1:76 through chapter 2:7).
We believe that the answer for today is only Jesus, the Christ, the True and Living Son of God, Messiah. He will soon be returning on the clouds of Glory to take his Bride away to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. (Revelation 4:1, 19:1 -10). After the Marriage Supper, He will return as the Rider on the white horse with the armies of Heaven to do battle against the unholy trinity, the devil, the beast and the false prophet who will be overcome by the Lord Jesus Christ and His army. The devil will be siezed and bound for a thousand years, (Rev. 20:1), and all those who accepted and bore the sign of the beast, will be killed by the sword that protudes out of the mouth of the Rider on the white horse but the beast and the false prophet will be cast alive into the lake that burns with sulphur and fire. (Rev. 19:11 - 21).

The message is not mine - I cannot change it. I cannot, will not and refuse to be swayed by New thinkers to change or water-down this Holy Message. It is the Gospel that brings Hope where there is despair, Faith where doubt reigns, Courage to stand firm when others grow weak and fills the heart with a longing to please the Father by harvesting the lost souls into the Kingdom of God.
The commission is to GO. "...Go into all the world to preach..." this message of God's eternal Love for a lost world. Sinners who have not been presented the opportunity to flee from their sinful lives and the reward thereof to a Gracious, forgiving God, who wants all men everywhere not to perish in their sins but be saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (1 John 4: 9, 10). Jesus bore our sins on Himself for my behalf. The song writer wrote: "..and I should have hung on that cross of shame, but Jesus took my place." No greater love is there than this, that someone would lay down his live for a stranger, friend or even a dear family member. Yet, while we were yet sinners and showed no affection or interest in Him, Jesus took our place and died on the cross in our stead. God manifested His love to us by allowing His Only Begotten Son to pay the highest penalty for sin, instead of all mankind each being responsible for their own sin!?! He who knew no sin, was made sin so that we through Him could be made the Righteousness of God.

MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF SALVATION

I personally experienced the Saving Grace of God. In 1978 during a Sunday morning service in the old MOTH Hall in Virginia, Orange Free State province of South Africa, I was brought under the conviction of the Holy Ghost of my sinful state. It seemed to me, a "good?" Presbyterian, (please understand that I do not judge any denomination, I was a Presbyterian from birth, 'baptized /Christened' there, attended Sunday School and confirmed there), who only normally attended church once on a Sunday in order to do my duty to God but imbibing in liquor, wasted my youth on dagga (marijuana) and drugs and had been a partaker of many other sinful follies. I felt that somehow someone must have told the pastor all about my vices and sins. It seems as if he was preaching directly to and at me. As though he knew all about me and my sinful ways. I wanted to turn around to see whether I could identify who it could've been who had told the pastor such a lot about my life, but I felt too ashamed and didn't want others to know it was me he was preaching about.

At the end of his sermon, the pastor asked those who felt that the Lord had spoken to them to raise their hands. Well, I was not a member of this Pentecostal church. I was a Presbyterian. In our church, the Reverend never asked this sort of thing, so I just sat there. The pastor asked all who had raised their hands to please stand to their feet. Again I argued with myself that I was not a member of this church, that I hadn't raised my hand because in our church we did not do such things, so I just sat there.
Then I felt "someone" gently place their hands under my armpits and gently prompt me and help me to stand. I thought without looking who could have the audacity to do something like this, help me to my feet. I peeked back to see who it was and to my surprise I could see no-one.

The Pastor now asked all who were standing to come down to the altar. Again I thought: "It's not my church, we don't do these things at my church, I never raised my hands and I was "helped" to my feet, so I'm not going anywhere." This time I felt the same hands, positioned between my shoulder blades, this time push me forward towards the altar. On my way to the altar I noticed that there was nobody behind me that I could see doing this to me. I fell to my knees before that altar and started weeping and crying bitterly, for no likely reason. I never understood the convicting power of the Holy Ghost (St. John 16: 8 - 11). The more I was telling myself to stop weeping, the more the tears flowed. My body was shaking, here I was crying in front of a full hall of strangers. I never cried in front of my own family never mind strangers. We were taught: "Cowboys don't cry". But here I was crying, tears were streaming down my face. No altar worker prayed with me or advised me about what was taking place. It was just me (and God at work, naturally). After some time I returned to my seat.

I just felt a peace fill my heart. I was always searching for something that I never understood. It was that searching for something that had led me to nightclubs, sessions, bars, sinful pleasures etc, but inside of me I could never stop the searching for something. Something I didn't know of, about or what it was. Here now. back in my seat I knew that the search had ended. I had found what I was constantly searching for. I just knew that I knew that I knew without really knowing what it was I knew except that something had happened to me on the carpet in front of the pulpit. I did not know about confessing my sins by the name in the way that I had done them There were many things I never knew about salvation, forgiveness, being saved by Grace, the sacrificial substitutionary death of Christ Jesus and the resurrection from death. I was never taught about these things before, never taught how to pray specifically or what to pray for. I knew this though, something happened.

After the church service ended and we went out from the building, the sky seemed bluer, the trees and grass greener and the heavy burden was lifted from my heart. I was free and I didn't know that God in His unfailing Love and Grace and Mercy, had decided to save a sinner like me. It was only in the weeks that followed that I was taught that the Blood of Jesus Christ had washed away all my sins.

The next day at work underground, (I was a miner), I found myself singing the choruses these folk sang at that Pentecostal church. I didn't know the words and also didn't remember all the tunes but I was singing. Sometimes putting my own words in. After a few days I took a small New Testament underground with me and would read the Bible whenever I had the opportunity. My spiritual growth had started. Before I was saved, I thought these folk were mad to go to church on a Wednesday evening to a prayer meeting, Saturday night - Youth Meeting, Sunday 2 services morning and night. But after I was saved, I told the pastor there were too many days in-between services where we could've been in church but were not. It wasn't long before I was convicted that I needed to be baptized in water by full immersion as were those who are recorded in the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. God used His Word to convict my heart. I so wanted to be baptized as were so many folk in the New Teastament. They were saved and baptized - they and their households, ON THE SAME DAY! I was baptized 14th September 1978, the old man of sin was buried in Christ's death so that I could arise with Him in a new life in His resurrection. Halleluljah, Praise the Lord, Amen.

Thank God for His unchanging Love toward all men. I know His Salvation is real. That was more than 33 years ago and is still as real today as it was then. He saves, He delivers, He breaks the chains and fetters that had kept me and so many others like us bound for so long, so that we might be free. He came to set the captive free.
Remember, God is in the business of saving souls from perdition. Friend, hell was created for the devil and his angels, never for man. Please read St. Matthew 25:41 and see that man by his own choice and own free will chooses to remain disobedient to God and His Word and thus chooses to be destined to the Great White Throne Judgement and eventually hell. A very real place. Not the figment of someone's imagination. Not a "scary" story to move your choice to God because of the fear of being cast into hell. NO, 1000 times no! We accept God's way of escape because it is driven by LOVE. (Read Revelation 20) "...and the books were opened and another book called the Book of Life. Whoever's name was not found in that book, was cast into the lake that burns with sulphur and fire".

God offers you the opportunty to become a child of God, to be born again. To be washed in the Blood of the Lamb and ensure that your name is not blotted out of the Book God has written. Your name was entered into that book long before you were born. It is only removed once you have refused the Love, Grace, Mercy and Salvation of God by ignoring His Holy Spirit's convicting tug at your heart to make right with God and by not surrendering your will and heart to His call, to be saved.

Maybe somehow, you 'stumbled' onto this web-page by accident, (although it is not by accident, but by God's gracious Providence), because He really loves you so much that I was moved to include this paragraph especially for you. You may be feeling like I felt that morning in the MOTH hall. I didn't know how to pray except recite the "Our Father who art in Heaven..." that we were taught at school and at Sunday School and the recitation before we would sleep at night, "Now I lay me down to sleep...", which I'm sure you may be familiar with. I knew that I was lost but also never knew that I could be saved. I knew of Heaven and Hell but I was living my life seaching for meaning and not knowing where to find the answer. Maybe your situation is even worse off than mine was. You may be feeling low, dejected, rejected, sad and lonely, been through a sad divorcement, lost a loved one through death, living in loneliness without company or friends, your business may have failed and you've hit rock bottom. The recession wiped you out. The little money you had left was eaten by the crash. Your outstanding bills cannot be met. The banks are threatening with foreclosures and dispossesion (repossesion is what we call it in South Africa). Everything has turned against you. Maybe you once served God but have back-slidden. You may have even considered suicide. Friend, that isn't the answer.

Your answer is right here, right now. You read so far that you may as well keep reading on.

YOUR ANSWER IS JESUS THE CHRIST.

Come unto Jesus, He cares for you. He wants to take charge of your life and give you a reason to go on, a reason to live. God is not looking at your circumstances as you are now. He is looking at what you can become for the Kingdom of God. God never saves men to idly warm the pews in some church building where you pay your dues / membership fees at the Holy Gospel Social Club, NO He enrols workers in the Vineyard, Soldiers for the battlefield, men and women who have a burden to see the lost saved and the world being won for the Glory of God. You (like the American president Abe Lincoln with his finger pointing at you), are needed by the Kingdom of God. Saved with a purpose. Saved for a purpose. Saved with God's design and pattern for your life in mind.

Would you surrender your life to Christ Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God? Back-slider, will you return to your first love and also pray the Sinner's prayer again? Would you pray this simple prayer with me, believing as you pray as if these were your own words? It's alright to shed a tear of remorse about your sinful past. It's OK to break down in the Presence of the Most High God, confessing your sins and trusting God for forgiveness and deliverance. Even if you are sitting at your desk at work reading this prayer, praying it in faith and weeping. If it happens, don't feel ashamed but know that Father God in His gracious mercy has stopped at your computer to "speak" to you personally. There is an old song that says: "He washed my eyes with tears, that I might see...". Many days I receive e-mails that touch my heart and emotions in such a way that I weep. Pray with me:

"Heavenly Father, I (mention your name eg Rodney, Zafira, Sharon, Malik, Inkosinathi etc), come before You just as I am. I confess that I am a sinner and have sinned against You and others. I confess my sins (of adultery, fornification, idolatory, swearing, stealing money or goods from (name the persons), unfaithfulness, occultic practices, backsliding, etc), and believe that only the Blood of Jesus, Your Son, can wash away the stains of sin. Save me Lord, as I cannot save myself. I have made a mess of my life because I was doing it all my way and not Your way. I accept Jesus as my personal Saviour and ask you Father, that You accept me as Your child. Forgive my sins, deliver me from the power of the evil one and cleanse me. Help me to serve You in Holiness and make my walk with You in a Holy walk. Teach me to understand your Word and teach me to become a man /woman of prayer. Thank You that you allowed Jesus to take my place on Calvary and become my Redeemer and Saviour. I love You Father and praise and worship You. Thank You for salvation. I am now a child of God, I am now saved and delivered and the devil has no right over me. I am Yours and You are mine. Thank you Jesus that You died in my place so that I may be free. In Jesus' name I pray this Father. I believe that I am forgiven. I am saved and I now am Your child. Thank You in Jesus' Name. Amen and Amen.
