You can not be shy in today's society. Being shy period is bad. It creates bad energy.<br />
I was shy. Why or how does one become shy. Several reasons, Our enviroment has a lot to do with our behavioral patterns. My parents I remeber always told me to be auiet at dinner. Just eat and be quiet they would say. They also told me many times,, do not talk to strangers or grown ups. do not talk to your teacher, or just plain be quiet.<br />
Some more damaging words parents tell us, do not cross the street with out asking us.<br />
This is ok , but at age 12.. Then all the rules. do not eat meat with dairy , do not sleep<br />
with a pillow, do not stare, do not watch tv , do not ask questions, especially about sex.<br />
So one grows up very controlled and afraid to make his or her decisions.<br />
It is not until we realize what controls us , that we wake up. Heh , I am going to think for myself.<br />
I do not need someone thinking for me. When you realize this, there should be an anger inside you. This is good. It is as the lion in you has woken up after many years of being dormant.<br />
Wake up!!!!! Wake up!!!!! You must tell yourself over and over again. This is my life.<br />
I am in control. Now you might ask, what do I do now.<br />
Answer, you start to make changes. Here is a good suggestion.<br />
When you talk to people look at them straight in the eyes. Do not for even a split second look in another direction. Here I am. I am powerful,<br />
and I have power over you, you must tell yourself. Stand straight up, talk slowly and clearly<br />
with confidence while you look the person right in the eyes. Very important concept.<br />
Be agressive, take control of the situation. Whatever you do not be hesitant. Be sure<br />
of yourself. You might say to yourself, well I have bad grammer, I did not go to college<br />
I can not talk well. Not important, Talk, be heard, no matter how bad your language skills are you will be understood. Do not let people push you around, or intimidate you.<br />
That includes religous leaders, teachers, friends, parents, your boss, etc.<br />
You are not afraid of anything or anybody, you are like a tank that seeks and destroys.<br />
You have to live each day as a psyche. Get pumped up both physically and emotionally.<br />
Some of you might say , well I am green , or blue so I have a disadvantage in life.<br />
Wrong!!!! If you think you have a disadvantage then try even harder,. Create your negative energy into positive. Do not feel sorry for yourself. And learn how to run over people who get in your way. Ignore people who put you down.<br />
I was so shy I was afraid to talk to anybody. I used to think of myself as an outcast.<br />
I used to think of myself as being, stupid, ugly, and undesirable to women. <br />
You know I still think of myself as being ugly and not quite as stupid. But so what.<br />
That is me, that is what makes up my person. Who cares!! But I do not think of myself as being undesirable to the opposite sex anymore. Because I like you am a unique person.<br />
And it is your uniqueness that makes you special and attractive to other people.<br />
I am a pianist. And I hid behind the piano a long portion of my life.<br />
And would you believe that now I have become a<br />
show man on the piano, not only do I perform but I tell stories, and jokes, and get involved with my audience. I might not be very funny , but my sense of humor is unique. I have become very relaxed on the stage now. Because I do not think of what some people in the audience will think of me. People will always criticize, especially the ones that are jealous. So every time I go out on stage I feel full of confidence. Because I give my audience all that I have.<br />
I psyche myself up before I perform. And that is what you have to do each day, get psyched, <br />
because you can do whatever you want to.<br />

Let me begin to say that they do not anymore. However when I first started taking lessons the neigbors were criticizing my dad for paying for my lessons. <br />
Remarks like, your wasting your time., your wasting your money, your son will never<br />
practise , etc. They were wrong. And while their children were playing baseball I was praticing the piano. I never regret it. Piano lessons helped get me through my childhood.<br />
That is another story I will blog after this one. So what is the message in this paragraph I<br />
just wrote. very simple., do not listen to anybody that tells you you can not or should not do <br />
something you want to do, no matter how dreamy it sounds like, do it. You only live once,<br />
enjoy it and give it everything you have. <br />
It is very important to add that during the period of time it takes to get to your goal,<br />
you will experience failures, rejections, people laughing behind your back etc.<br />
I will give you an example.. I started to play the piano at age 6. At age 12<br />
I was accompanying singers in the catskill mountains in new york state. It was hard,, and I was under a lot of pressure. I traveled from gig to gig with some of the entertainers.<br />
Let me add that the catskill mountains was a great training ground for musicians to learn how to read and sight read. Getting back to my example of how cruel people can be,,<br />
I was 13 yrs old and i had to accompany a woman singer I never rehearsed with before.<br />
She handed me the music and I had to play it. I was doing ok until someone asked her for a request. She told me to fake it. She started to sing but I could not follow her, nor find her key. The entire audience started to boo at me. I felt terrible. I will never forget it.<br />
I left in tears, my dad who drove me to the job and back told me these exact words.<br />
Richard someday you will be able to read and accompany anybody, People will kiss your feet to have you work for them. And he was right. I commanded a lot of respect in the following years, I learned how to transpose, sight read, arrange, fake tunes, conduct,<br />
program music , play any style, play left hand bass while playing melody, I learned<br />
religous music, all kinds of international music, learned how to contract, how to <br />
build stage presence, how to make an audience laugh and jump to their feet, and the list goes on. I did this with determination that someday I will get the last laugh, And I did.<br />
I completed my mission and I will never look back.<br />
For those of you who face similar circumstances where people are telling you you can not or should not do this, tell them to mind their own business. I like many of you continue to dream. I am at the age where I would like to travel and write. I am trying to develop a career as a Positive thinker expert<br />
,song writer, funny podcaster and life coach. Its a dream,, but I am going to reach it.<br />
And yes people are laughing at me including my wife, who is has been telling me,, what are you doing?<br />
you can not make money writing blogs, making videos, making funny podcasts,<br />
You should see a doctor, go get a job working at publix. <br />
Fellow dreamers, keep dreaming. It is a long process to get to where you want to be.<br />
Rome was not built in a day. We all have blocks that we need to remove. These blocks are the bad energy that try to invade the good energy. We need to stick together , and this is why I started the youtube channel newamericacd. It is for dreamers like us who do not give up. <br />
Maybe you have a wife, husband or parent that is telling you to get a real job, or do something constructive. Do not listen to them. Do what you love now. Life is very<br />
short my friends. We are the real champions. The people that dare to do something, different and special.<br />

An abusive stepmother , which I had or an abusive stepbrother , which I had also.<br />
i was an angry person for many years. Planning on revenge, but I channeled this anger into<br />

The classical guitar has to be one of the most difficult instruments to play well.<br />
There is so much involved. But the end resluts are worh all the pain and sacrifice that go into learning this beautiful instrument. I would suggest that you learn to read music before.<br />
Then start with the Julio Sagreras book I also recommend the following books. Guiliani.<br />
Sors complete. Carcassim complete.<br />
Practice slowly and carefully. Practice what you have problems with, do not practise what you know. Learn to practise conisitently<br />
and constructivly. 15 minutes a day of constructive pratcise is better than 6 hours of playing what you know..<br />
Practise a few measures at a time. Never the whole piece. Then you can put it together and play the piece in its entirety.<br />

First I would suggest that you listen to the old time jazz. Listen as much as you can.<br />
The reason why I suggest the older time jazz is becaues it has a structure that is well defined both in terms of chords and melody.<br />
Lets take an example of a song. The standards are the best old type jazz songs.<br />
So an example such as As Time Goes bye... now that is a great jazz song,, or tenderly,<br />
or Days of wine and roses. Wow , what music,, I dont call the so called new jazz jazz.<br />
It sounds like the musicians are taking out their frustrations while performing.<br />
Besides listening you must learn to read music, play all scales, arps, work on technique,<br />
understand harmony and theory, chord movements, progressions, transcription and on and on. Its an art form that can be learned. But with a lot of dedication.<br />

Well this sounds easy. But would you believe me if I told you a good pianist<br />
has to study more than a doctor. And the studying never stops.<br />
Well you might say,, it looks so easy, you just move your hands and your fingers and you can play. That really is mot the case. To become a classical pianist is a great task. First of all, you have to decide that you will have no other life because every waking hour you will have to practise and remember music that is technically difficult to play. Not only difficult to play in terms of finger dexterity but also in terms of interpretation. Interpretation is where you will be critiqued the most.<br />
So if you do not want to have children, or have a spouse, or not have a life at all, then being a concert pianist might be for you. Rather I would suggest practising to become a semi classical <br />
pianist.<br />
Now you might ask yourself. What is a semi classical pianist? My definition of a semimclassical pianist is one that is a Juliard dropout or a classical pianist that never made a living as a classical pianist.<br />
Liberacci was an example of a semi classical pianist. Also Roger Williams, Peter Nero,<br />
etc. All classically trained musicians. Now what does classically trained mean?<br />
A classicaly trained musician, has studied hanon, scales, arpa, thirds, octaves,<br />
clementi, czerny for dexterity. Kulak for octaves, and the list goes on.<br />
A classically trained musician also has practiced many etudes. Such as the chopin etudes.<br />
You also might ask. What are etudes? Etudes actually are a lot more fun to play than just exercisies. They are a repertoire of musical exercises. They have several melodies or themes but each one has a purpose of its own. Some might cover the improvement of the <br />
playing of the fourth and fifth fingers, etc etc.<br />
So what I cover in my classical course is technical training that will allow you to<br />
play songs such as the autumn leaves, love story, michele le grand rep,<br />
liveracci type repertoire, blue danube and countless other pieces that your audience will go crazy<br />
when they hear you glide up and down the piano. Just give rhem a smile and you will be a hit.<br />

So how does one define consistency? I define it as regular repetition. I am sure that<br />
Is not the definition in Webster’s dictionary? However it is my definition. <br />
So here is an example of consistency. I used to teach piano privately to all levels.<br />
I taught adults and children. There was really not much of a difference between the two when it came<br />
to practicing. An adult student would tell me. I can’t find the time to practice the piano.<br />
And the parents child would tell me that her child is too busy with school , ballet, etc.<br />
So I would ask, do you have 15 minutes in the day or evening to spare? Oh yes, they would tell me,<br />
but that is so little time to practice. <br />
This is a very bad belief. 15 minutes every day of anything you are learning is fine as long as you are studying or practicing it constructively.<br />
And here is what I mean by constructive practice or study. Always study or practice what you do not know. Do not go over what you know already, that is a waste of time. If you take a little part of the music that you have trouble with and work at just that part and repeat it a hundred times each day for 15 minutes you will have accomplished more than what you would have practiced if you practiced 6 hours a day . <br />
This applies to all studies. If you’re a law school student and you have trouble with an aspect of tort, contract, property law etc., you should read a small part of the theory and then practice just that part by reading cases that pertain just to that part of the law or rulings. <br />
So we have to take things in small steps. The best way to be consistent in practicing to reach your full potential is to practice 15 minutes,, take a break, practice or study another 15 minutes , take a break,<br />
The mind needs time to digest the information, or else you will overload its memory, just like a computer. And this should be done every day. <br />
And of course in order to do this one must focus. And that will be my next blog. <br />
How to keep your focus.<br />

First you have to envision what you want to be. You have to take a future photo of yourself in your desired position. For example, maybe you want to be a concert pianist.<br />
Then you have to vision yourself playing in Carnegie hall in front of 1000 fans. That should<br />
Give you the inspiration to practice. Or you might have a plan on becoming a professional fighter. Vision yourself in Madison square garden in front of 1000s of screaming fans while they announce your name. Have this vision in your mind every day you train. Every day that you run and lift weights etc. you should have this in your mind. <br />
Some of you might want to be a doctor, lawyer, etc. Then you have to envision yourself at work in your office, talking to clients, etc. <br />
Your plan should consist of the steps required to get to your vision. <br />
Some visions might require you to obtain a degree or certificate. Some visions might take 6 years or longer in terms of education. <br />
Some visions might require that you have a private teacher, or coach to obtain your future vision.<br />
So in essence what we have been discussing here can be broken down into one word.<br />
Goals<br />
You need to setup a plan to achieve your goals. The word goals we will now substitute for the word vision. Your goal is the most important element in reaching your full potential.<br />
Every day of your life you have to work for your goal. And that has to do with my next blog,<br />
Consistency. <br />

First I would like to preface that I have not reached my full potential.<br />
I am in the process of going as far as I can with what god has given me.<br />
Furthermore before giving you the reader suggestions I have to add a very important <br />
theory of mine. <br />
Some supreme being, be it nature, energy, a spiritual power, God,<br />
Jesus, Moses etc. has given you a gift. That being the gift of life,, you also have been given another gift, a talent. Something that you excel at. <br />
If you do not use this talent you are telling god or whoever, No thank you,<br />
I do not want this talent. And this is a slap in the face to a supreme being.<br />
Furthermore to me that is a great sin. More of a sin than not going to church on sunday or to the synagogue on friday nights or wherever you pray.<br />
You have to cherish this gift, and use it and expand it over 100 percent of your capabilities. You must try to make a living using this gift. God has destined you to live by this talent. Good or bad your destiny has been defined. Follow it. <br />
Follow gods light. You will hit many bumpy roads on the way, but your rewards will be great.<br />
The reward of happiness, and money will come.<br />
Now that I established the foundation of going beyond your full potential, I will<br />
write some suggestions that will further help you achieve it.<br />
Ther are 6 key words to keep in mind.<br />
1. Plan<br />
2. Desire<br />
3. Positive<br />
4. Excitement<br />
5. Consistency<br />
6. Focus<br />

If you made up your mind to become a doctor, lawyer, CPA, engineer, then you have to go to college. But there are many of us who are entrepreneurs in some form and do not need <br />
4 years of listening to professors that never ran a business.<br />
How do you learn how to run a business? Simple by running a business. <br />
I will discuss what a business student learns in college. He or she learns how to pass tests.<br />
If you take an economics course, you will learn fancy terminology. <br />
You will read about complex cases that have little to do with the problems facing a budding entrepreneur. An economics course should start with how to run a lemonade stand, and then expand it to the next soft drink giant. No they have to start the class with some boring terminology which is difficult to understand. So the student learns to memorize the terminology in order to be able to pass the tests of which he will forget what he remebered <br />
the day after the test.<br />
Here is what a business student learns in an accounting class. Transactions based on corporations. Mergers, stock liquadations, repurchase of stock, etc.<br />
Nothing to do with small business which is more important to learn. Instead of showing students how to use accounting software like quickbooks they talk about theory.<br />
To earn a degree a student has to take liberal arts courses. <br />
Well basket weaving has a lot to do with how to run a business.<br />
You have to take english literature. Here you will read novels based on some authors<br />
fantasy , or perspective of the world. Actually I enjoyed Bradbury,and I also enjoyed reading spy novels.<br />
But what does this have to do with running a business. <br />
Here is the problem. The universities and the public education system is run by people<br />
who never ran a business in their life. They have read many books. Have a great vocabulary. But they have no common sense. If they had common sense they would be running a business. The professors are the same type of people that have government jobs. They know nothing about the working class.<br />
For example, I majored in accounting and minored in music. I was having trouble with <br />
my grades in a music history class. I was working many hours to pay for my tuition and rent, etc. The professor one day motified me that I was in danger of failing the class.<br />
He asked me, what is happening with your grades. I replied that I am working extra hours .<br />
He replied, why do you have to work so much? What a putz I said to myself.<br />
And from that day I took a whole different attitude about college.<br />
I learned it had nothing to do with the real world. <br />
So why do universities exist. What is their purpose?<br />
They are nothing more than a business. They are run by people who can not <br />
make a living doing anything else but spitting out quotes and theories from books.<br />
They live in one big book. You take their books away and they are naked unimformed people. The universities are interested in taking your money and thats it.<br />
They exist to make a huge profit. So in order for them to get your business they have to advertise that you meed a degree to get ahead, and that you need a degree to make over one hundred thousand dollars a year. It has been proven over and over again that the majority <br />
of rich people never went to college. They started a business at an early age and stuck with it and passed it on thru the family.<br />
So you might ask yourself what should I do if I am not a entrepreneur. I would recommend<br />
going to a vocational school. I have taken some classes in video editing at Sheridan Vocational School here in Hollywood florida. I learned more in that class then I ever learned<br />
in my 6 yrs of university education. I learned by doing. By making mistakes and asking questions. Not by listening to theory. That is the only way to learn. You learn by making mistakes. However the universities teach us that if you make a mistake you will get a bad grade. They reward you for not making mistakes. When I was starting out as a pianist<br />
I was afraid to play a wrong mote or chord. So on one gig, the sax player imformed me that he could not hear me. I was playing too soft. He said kid. if you sre going to make a mistake make it big and loud. Now I understand what he said. <br />
If I had to do it all over again I would not have went to college . Rather, I would have invested in a pizza shop, or in a subway, Mcdonalds, Burger king, etc. <br />
As far as my music side I would have continued taking private lessons of which I stopped <br />
because of college. <br />
I heard this phrase my whole life, " you have to go to college to get that piece of paper."<br />
Well I have two pieces of paper. A BA in accounting and a Macc masters in accounting.<br />
Real life experieince also taught me what I should do with those two pieces of paper.<br />
But I am afraid I will clog the toilet if I do that.<br />

The most important word that you the reader and musician should keep<br />
in mind while working in your own band or as an independent contractor in another is<br />
attitude. Attitude is everything in life. It reflects everything about you.<br />
How we define attitude also has an effect on how you are percibed as a person.<br />
Lets take an example. The scenario is of a musiciam working with a band at a private party. He does not like the music he has to play. So he has a long face , complains,<br />
keeps asking when there will be a break, does not talk to the other musiciams , smokes pot and drinks on the break. <br />
Well if I was the band leader in this situation I would never hire him agaim.<br />
Why? Because his attitude is bad. <br />
Now here is the correct attitude in a situation as described. <br />
Ok I do not like the music but I am here to perform the best I can. I will smile to the audience and the musicians in the band, joke with them on the break and even listen and laugh at their stupid jokes.<br />
Now this attitude can be applied to any business. A smile at a client or to your boss<br />
says a million words about you.<br />
A smile and a positive attitude together is very powerful no matter what business you are in.<br />
Lets define positive attitude. A person that creates good energy as opposed to a bad attitude ; one that creates bad energy.<br />
So the definition of attitude is either the production of good or bad energy; whether it is good or bad depends on whether one is positive or negative.<br />
So here are a few pointers that I have learned. <br />
Smile, be courteous, do the best job you can, do not talk bad about others.<br />
do not gossip, laugh at yourself when you make mistakes., do not take your playing or performances that serious, if giving a recital or a show tell some funny stories in between your somgs. Talk to the people in the audience. People love to get involved during your show. You might get some great material from audience interaction.<br />
Enjoy what your doing. Do not think of it as a job. This is more important than the way you play. And most important of all have a positive attitude.<br />

En términos de un niño, el suena así, un día me voy a casar con una princesa la princesa voy a salvar, ella me va abrasar,me va a besar, y me va agradecer. Ella me va a nombrar su héroe. Me voy a sentir tan grande tan importante. Le voy a pedir matrimonio y nos vamos a tener niños bellos. Vamos a vivir en una casa grande con una cerca grande.<br />
Voy a trabajar por mi princesa. Voy a trabajar muy duro.<br />
El sueño de una niña suena así; un día un hombre guapo me va a salvar. El me va a poner en sus brazos . Y me voy a sentir tan bella.<br />
Y nos vamos a casar y tener niños bellos<br />
Así suena los niños ahora.<br />
Pero como van a soñar después de habrá aprendido que el matrimonió no significa sólo una reunión entre un hombre y una mujer<br />
sino también un hombre con un hombre y una mujer con una mujer,<br />
no deberíamos exponer nuestros niños con este asunto,<br />
ellos no tienen la madurez de entender eso.<br />
Entonces el tema o la pregunta no tiene nada que ver con nosotros, sino con los niños, tenemos el deber a proteger nuestros niños de<br />
esta significación nueva, no tenemos el derecho de quitar los sueños bellos de nuestros hijos.<br />

The generation before the baby boomers was a great one.<br />
My parents were hard working people. My father worked 3 jobs to support<br />
a family of 3 sons. He was a police office, drove a bus, drove a cab, and fixed up homes <br />
and rented them out. He was always working. He believed in the work ethic.<br />
Work hard and you shall get ahead he used to tell me. Of course his favorite<br />
saying which sums up everything is "when the going gets tough the tough get going".<br />
Dad you are so right. That is what we need now. A wake up call to everyone. <br />
Wake up!! <br />
This work ethic i do not find with todays generation. For example when you<br />
dine in a resteraunt, notice the service. It is poor. The waiter or waitress<br />
have this following attitude. I am doing you a favor by waiting on you. <br />
I am not going to give you good service, and while you are dining I will watch TV<br />
and could care less about you, and yes I expect a good tip.<br />
And it is true. they never come back to fill your water glass nor offer refills.<br />
They are the laziest bunch of people I have met, and this pertains for <br />
about 95 percent of the waiters.<br />
Furthermore they have no personality, no smile, no warmth, no charisma.<br />
The younger generation seems to be angry , hostile and aloof.<br />
When your driving you will notice that there is a car tailgating you.<br />
The driver usually is a young person and very angry.<br />
What do you think attributes to this sought of behavior?<br />
Music. If you listen to what these drivers are listening to ,and you can not<br />
help but listening to it because the music is so loud that their car sounds like it is about to explode you will hear war music. Chant of war. <br />
What is the message of this music. Alot of it is bad. The words are not understandable.<br />
It sounds like a war message. A very angry message. Not a positive one.<br />
Maybe it was the music that helped make the old generation special.<br />
When have you heard lyrics recently like... you must remember this a kiss is just a kiss<br />
a sigh is just a sigh....wow!! how nice , how romantic,,,<br />
how can you compare these words to words like who let the dogs out....<br />
and that is the whole song. <br />
The older generation had a great sense of humor. The comics of that era did not curse.<br />
They used clean comedy. Very hard to do. The comics <br />
did not care what was politically correct.<br />
The older generation respected their teachers. You find that now in public<br />
schools?<br />
No.<br />
The dress was conservative. Men wore ties and the women wore long dresses.<br />
When I first met my wife going back 17 yrs ago she had on a very conservative outfit.<br />
I knew this woman was special. She did not follow the crowd.<br />
Now women look like prostitutes. They all show their breasts on TV. on the news.<br />
How about leaving us some imagination. <br />
I worked at a hotel in miami beach a month ago. and their was a discoteque next door<br />
were I was working. Their where young women 18 to 25 entering. They all looked like hookers.<br />
Why? I think a woman is sexy with a nice black gown and white gloves. So elegant.<br />
The old generation attended churches and synagogues. They belonged to all kinds of<br />
charitable clubs. They were active in good causes. They cared about their neighborhoods<br />
and the community, they did not have this me attitude. what can I take from the system.<br />
Statistics show that now memberships of synagogues and churches are falling.<br />
Memberships are dwindling in charitsble organizations like hadasa, etc.<br />
One might contribute this to TV,, now we have HBO, showtime,,sports channels.<br />
not to far back there were only a few channels and after midnite their were no more<br />
channels on the air.<br />
One might contribute this to the advent of the internet.. email.<br />
Heh, whatever happened to writing love letters.<br />
Cell phones, that took away from the term I miss you. Now we are always in touch.<br />
Is this a good thing? <br />
In conclusion I would say that technology has slowly taken away our souls.<br />
Is it my imagination or do people look like zombies now? I believe as techmology gets more advanced this is what we are going to see more of. Zombies.<br />

I will explain this statement with an example.<br />
One evening I went to miami subs and ordered a sandwich. It so happened that the red sox were playing in a world series. I forget against who. So the young women who took my order was very nervous. I asked her what is wrong why are you nervous? She answered me, I am nervous because I am worrying about the Red Sox.<br />
Well that says it all. I could end this blog just on this note. But maybe there are a few of you readers that want me to explain this even further. Ok here it goes.<br />
The young woman I imagine was earning at the most $6.00 an hour. She is worried about the players on the Red Sox that are making countless thousands every game they play. If she is lucky the woman at miami subs will clear $40 For a days work. She is making $40 and each player is making lets put 50 thousand dollars every game. Does this make sense that she is worrying about them? Maybe you the reader can explain the reasoning behind this.<br />
Heh just give me my sandwich and relax.<br />
Lets turn this around, and look at it even more deeply. Do the players call the woman at miami subs and ask her how is she doing. Or tell her the familiar parental phrae;<br />
I am worried about you? No they do not. They could care less about her. Win or lose<br />
they are going to be ok.<br />
They enjoy the best massages, they have big homes, drive luxury cars, take vacations,<br />
travel. eat the finest foods and they do not have to eat at miami subs.<br />
So why does she worry about the red sox. Answer. Because she is programmed by the media to do so.<br />
She is so wrapped up in the glitter of advertising and promotions that she is completely lost.<br />
All of her friends and family are wrapped up into this also which just compounds the situation.<br />
She watches the hype on TV, listens to it on the radio. Sees it on billboards. front pages of newspapers, magazines, etc.<br />
Another words she has no life.<br />
Ok,, another way the media controls us is by showing us what they consider good music , good films,<br />
good talk show hosts, etc.<br />
Lets start with the medias promotion of music. What do you see in todays' talk shows and game shows etc,<br />
2 dancers up front a dj with headphones in back and a young drummer playing not a drum set but a drum machine.. This is the mode now. So at many functions we now see only a DJ playing the music,<br />
Ok , but what really bothers me is that the DJs think they are good. Good at what????<br />
<br />
Sometimes you might have a few female dances wearing hardly anything, Actually I like that.<br />
Ok,, The media promotes loud music, Do you notice when you walk into a restaurant or function the music is so loud you can not have a conversation. Or when you are eating in an Italian restaurant you hear country music. What is happening to our taste of music. Thank the media.<br />
The media affects the way we dress. Just look at the young people wearing their pants down to their knees showing their underwear. I always offer them my belt or money to buy one.<br />
One day I was ordering food at Boston Market, My plate was at the cashiers counter, and right in back of my plate was a worker with his pants down to his knees with his ass facing my plate. I was furious. I told the cashier<br />
please have him pick up his pants that is disgusting. She said yes sir you are right, Everybody looked at me as if I were a martian. No,, I am not the martian the kid with his pants down is the martian.<br />
I do not mind the cap on backwards, Actually I think it is ok.<br />
The media manipulates our emotions. I will discuss the Trayvon Zimmerman case here. Before I do so I must state that this was a tragedy. My heart goes out to the young mans family. <br />
What is really at issue here? Not who's fault it was, but rather whether the media incited racial tensions?<br />
And yes they did. Look how they portrayed Trayvon, The showed pictures of him when he was 13 years old. He was 17 6 ft 3 and 230 pounds, He was a man, Ok, So they were trying to portray a defensless<br />
little child against a big bully grown white man, Zimmerman is hispanic.<br />
NBC went even further and edited the police audio report, so it sounded as if Zimmerman was prejudice.<br />
Again I am not taking sides here, I do believe that Zimmerman should not have followed the young man.<br />
I think we were dealing with two hot heads or two lions that clashed.<br />
So these are examples how the media tries to incite us and divide us by use of emotional propaganda.<br />
6, The media promotes mindless talk shows.<br />
Example Jerry Springer, Need I say more. White trash. My wife who is from Ecuador is trying to learn english<br />
by watching this program, I told her olvidate or forget it. Do not watch it.<br />
7. Oprah Winfrey, What is the rage about this woman? I do not get it. The media promotes her .<br />
8. The news on NBS ABC CBS is garbage. They are afraid of their own shadow, I am not going to go into details about this. This will take another blog.<br />
On my next blog I will discuss the politicians role of inciting us . Their role in manipulating our emotions.<br />

1. Desired outcome equals good energy is greater than bad energy.<br />
2. Religion is a great institution. Especially for raising children.<br />

Ok now that I established these formulas. Lets discuss formula number one.<br />
The issue here is whether our religious leaders are creating good energy while they teach and preach to us.<br />
What is the message they are trying to convey? Could it be that I ( the spiritual leader) am going to heaven while you are going to hell. I have the ticket to heaven and you do not. That is how I interpret it.<br />
Lets take this another step further. I know you are afraid of death so that is why you are here. But do not worry<br />
I will talk to god for you if you are good. <br />
Now knowing this one is susceptible to many things. For example being taken advantage of by being forced to contribute money to the religious institution. Ok, I am contributing money now I have a better chance to go to heaven. Sounds logical. This is abuse of power. You might not see it but it is there.<br />
The religious leader plays the part of god. We believe in him, at times so much that we put complete trust in him or her with our children. And look at the outcome of this. A startling amount of stories concerning sexual abuse to children.<br />
However I believe in religious institutions, no matter what they are. They teach our children morals, values and ethics. They help keep the family together. They keep tradition with generations of families.<br />
The theory of the religious institutions is great, But too many times there is an abuse of power.<br />
For example. I am a working musician. That has to work 7 days a week, One day I had a double shift on a Saturday. So I had to set up my equipment at a synagogue early during the day so I could make the second job in time, While setting up a rabbi entered the catering hall and informed me that I could not setup my equipment because it was the sabbath.<br />
Here is the point. The rabbi was working that day, He was making money that day, Now what authority does he have to tell me I can not make a living? the hypocrisy.<br />
So what is his real objective, To show he has authority over me and I should be afraid of him .<br />
I told him I am setting up and leave me do my work.<br />
Case closed. I did not go to hell, I did not suffer any bad illness after.<br />
My point is that we have to question this notion that I have power over you.<br />
Do not let anyone intimidate you. That is their main objective to scare you into donating to their cause.<br />
In conclusion, I believe in god and prayer, and in christian principles. We have to get back to being a more spiritual nation but at the same time keep a careful eye on our religious leaders.<br />

Their are many issues involved in this CD and book, So I will blog them one at a time. To preface,, I believe that one has to experience life a bit to write this or understand it, Not to say that younger people are ignorant.<br />
quite the contrary. I enjoy talking to young people ,, they have such dreams and aspirations.<br />
Anyway, what I have noticed in my 56 yrs is that we are controlled and manipulated since day one of our existence. For example, you learn that you have to go to school,, than college then get a regular job then raise a family. Well, how many of us have done this to find that we killed many good energy years. <br />
For example I studied accounting in college and went so far as to get a masters in accounting.<br />
Why? cause I was told that I needed to have something to fall back on while I was pursuing a career as a pianist. I should have been writing songs, arranging, studying orchestration, traveling, learning other languages,<br />
having fun etc. <br />
One would ask, How come you did not go this route. Simple answer. A simple message that is programmed into our brain or computer. You have to earn money.<br />
Thus we can conclude that we are controlled by the term making money.<br />
My theory is that you will make money eventually if you love what your doing. Good energy attracts money.<br />
Lets face it, everyone wants to be around a person with good energy.<br />
However a person that does not like what he or she is doing creates bad energy. <br />
And nobody wants to be around a person that creates bad energy.<br />
So who manipulates and controls us?<br />
1. Religious leaders.<br />
2. The media<br />
3. Our parents<br />
4. Our friends.<br />
5. The government<br />
6. Schools and Universities<br />
You might say this is one big conspiracy.<br />
