What to look for when you're buying a vehicle.

When you're in the market for a car or a truck, look for what suits your needs, the majority of car buyers will look at what they want rather than what they need and what fits the budget.

Most people will look at what's trendy and sell themselves on affordability. Remember in 6 months the vehicle you buy becomes a liability, (car payment, insurance, maintenance, etc....) always choose the vehicle that fits your budget and needs.

· Always check used vehicle history (carfax).

· Buy certified pre-owned if possible, they come with better interest rates and better warranty.

· If not certified always negotiate an extended warranty, up front.

· Do your homework on bank rates; the dealer will not always get you the best rates. Credit unions have better rates, if you're not a member you can easily join with $25.

· Consider cost of ownership; estimate long term ownership base it which model require more mechanical repairs depreciation, ins premium, fuel cost etc.......
