I am planning on getting a lot of traffic from it and I am going to tell you how. First, I have been working on my social networking.

Digg: I have been making comments on pages that I think will be successful, when it gets big people start adding the first diggers as friends. I have also been digging my friends posts. So that when it comes time for me to digg mine, hopefully they will give me a jumpstart. Another step I have taking is to add some of the top diggers and people that are interested in my category. This might help me  get a massive amount of traffic although it is somewhat like playing the lottery.

Twitter: I have my bloggs set up for autotweet so they will imediatly go into the main timeline. Step two has been to find good quality friends. I have been using Tweepi.com which is a beta program for searching for friends. I search for friends in the same category and that have recent tweets, retweet, and post links. The idea is to have people retweet my posts so I can get more traffic.

Youtube: I have not been posting there for a while but you don't have to in order to get a lot of traffic. Since my topic is video games, as long as when the game comes out i post a lot of videos and do them fast I will get traffic. When a game first comes out gamers will be searching for how to get achievements, unlocks, collectable items etc... So the idea is to be one of the first ones to post for the types of searches gamers do. Since I can't make any money from youtube I direct that traffic to my achievement guides and articles in the sidebar.

I also post videos on a number of other sites but don't get that much traffic from them. It does not take me any extra time to do this because I use tubemogul to upload to all sites at the same time. Some of the other sites are viddler, myspace, daily motion and revver.

When the game comes out the first thing I will do is write posts in my blog about the game and include one of my videos, I will digg it, tweet it and whatever other sites I  want to submit it to.

For each post that I do I will make about 10 to 20 commentluv comments, that will produce direct traffic from the links and will give each page some authority since google uses links as votes for webpages.

I met a couple of people this week that were just starting to blog. Although I am not that far ahead of them I set up links in my blogs and one rss. This is good for two reasons, page rank can get tranfered by the link and because they have the same subject there is a chance that they will both get traffic.
What is the advantage for me? well there might not be any one put a link in his page so that is google juice but I could get that by posting a comment on any blog. Traffic will be minimal. On the other hand either one of them might become authors on one of my sites and that will provide me with content, they would also be able to share revenue on jadeslair.com. Good for both sides, oh they could also post a link in the bottom of their post to get some direct traffic.
I spend a lot of time in forums and that is a good spot to meet like minded individuals. My main goal in the forums is to get lunks and maybe revenue but I also pick forums that I am interested in. There are many ways to capture Your video game gameplay. I will show you all the ways I know with some videos about how to do it also.The easiest is to way is to buy a  Dazzle video creator also called Dazzle Platinum, you don't just want to buy the dvd creator because it doen't have the sofware needed to edit your video. Some people get real complicated when setting this up but it is not that hard and doesn't have to be complicated.All the Dazzle is doing is sending the signal to your pc, the software figures out what to do with it. Here is a video on how to set a Dazzle up to Record from your Xbox 360:This one is for people that only have AV coming from the Xbox360:This is for people that have an HDTV and component cables plus av cables coming from the Xbox 360I do not have a PS3 and there are not any videos that Show how to do the HD setup, I looked at Playsation.com and for the AV the setup is the same as the xbox setup. For HD if your cable offers component and av then that would be the same also. ( if you make a good video for this let me know and I will post it here)You could also use the Pinnacle Studio Ultimatefor the av setup so that you don't have to buy the splitters or any cable routing boxes.It also comes with some extra special effects that you probably won't use at first but can change your video dramaticlyI can't find any good videos on youtube about the setup for recording gameplay. I will tell you my settings and show you one of my videos so you can see what it looks like. I do a voice over because if you just record gameplay with sound a few videos get pulled from youtube do to copyright issues. The first links is to the main page of your blog. What ever you put for your name will be the keywords, so you could put video games and google will register those keywords as important. The second link goes to your latest article, the link will be named after your article so that is great seo, your individual page will get ranked now.

You can also register for comment luv and then you will get a choice of which article to link to so If you have a higher quality of article then post that one.

Another thought on this is that you could post on commentluv blogs that have a similar subject then you will not only get a link but you might also get some traffic since they can see the title of your article, they might be interested in it.

I use wordpress for one of my sites and I have set up the tags so that they are their own page. I have also set it up for pretty urls. this is good for google results. Google rates what is in the url and the title with more points than other keywords.Today I popped up first for a search and I was compteting with site that have been around a lot longer than I have.

For this example I am going to use blogger.

After I starting posting videos I started a blog with blogger and put achievement guides, video game trailers and video game reviews on it. This is how you can start without any money needed. You can set up a google adsense account directly from blogger and I set up an Amazon Affiliates account.

You don't even need to play a game to get started although the more you know the better the information you will provide. So lets say you are doing an achievement guide. You should label the title according to how someone would search for it because google rates title names high. For example you would put Mass Effect Achievement guide or you could do posts about a specific achievement. In that case list the achievement name as the title and the description at the top of the post in bold because google rates bold keywords high.
As you write your story try to put the name of the game naturally in there a few times. The name of the game is part of the keyword strategy.

Google is not the only person you need to keep happy, of course you need to keep the viewer happy so post some pictures and a copy and paste someone elses video or your own in there. Multimedia is the key.

To try to increase revenue you can use your amazon account to put ads in there, I normally just search for the game I am writing about or a similar game in the amazon plugin. Then it will insert the ad, I like to use the one with just the picture so my page doesn't look all spammy. I will also put an ad for each platform available, all right next to each other so it looks like I am simply stating what platforms it is available on.
