I broke up with my girlfriend. It's been rough. Part of the deal in any break-up is the inevitable need to rebound. Or, to get someone else as soon as possible. Or, to secure validation (now lost) from a new person so I can stop the pain. Rebounds happen ALL THE TIME. In fact, for most people, it's a normal occurrence. The less secure, the lower the self-esteem, the more likely to jump from a broken, ended relationship to another one...which will inevitably end badly - as it was constructed on broken ground. It makes sense, doesn't it? So, I no longer call them "rebounds" I call them "repairs".

One of the themes of this website is to develop a healthy, involved and engaged social life. One thing I really enjoy is to explore non-bar/club venues in the city, and get a feel for how "social" the environment is. Does it facilitate interaction, or make that more difficult - that's the big question. Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO (Brooklyn) is a GREAT place to mingle and enjoy a classy, financially responsible night out. They feature a lot of music, theater and film as their attraction - but, the design, layout and flow of the space is very very cool.

Barry & Stefan Honor Earth Day!

The eco-green movement has hit Canada! Now, having lived with Barry, I can attest to his interest in the environment and the planet. Style (aka, Neil Strauss) put Barry in charge of Project Hollywood recycling. I fondly recall Barry collecting all of Papa's Diet Coke cans, and Mystery's Energy Drink bottles and placing them - 1 by 1 - into his weekly blue bag. Then, Barry would proudly strut to the curb and place our recycling for the garbage man! Big "props" to Barry for making the ProHo experience so clean and pleasant.
