Application letter is an individual's personal emissary. It is like a person selling himself to an employer .You sell your skills and abilities as well as your qualification for a specific job target. Accompanied by a data sheet, resume or bio-data this letter is your personal representative.

An application letter has four principal functions

making reference to your source of information
explicitly making application for a job
elaborating qualifications
requesting for an interview

How to make a Letter of Inquiry

When someone asks information for a company regarding their product a service, books, product listing prices and other information ,the writer believes that the reader can provide him what he wants. A letter of inquiry is made to get the reader respond with an action that satisfies the inquiry. The reader could send the latter the corresponding product requested, accompanied by an answer to a letter of inquiry.

Here is an example of a letter of inquiry to a customers about their delay in repaying their overdue amount.
