Installing DriveImage XML on a 4TB volume can be a daunting task, but with the right instructions and tools, it can be done quickly and easily. With DriveImage XML, users can create an exact image of their hard drive or partition for easy backup and restoration. This is especially useful for large volumes such as 4TB as it allows you to keep all your data safe in case of any hardware failure. In this article, we will discuss the steps required to install DriveImage XML on a 4TB volume so that you can get started protecting your data right away.

1. What is driveimage xml and why should I install it?

DriveImage XML is a free disk imaging software that allows you to create a backup image of your entire hard drive or selected partitions. The software is designed for Windows operating systems and is useful for creating backup copies of your system, including the operating system, installed programs, and data files.

There are several reasons why you might want to install DriveImage XML:

Backup: With DriveImage XML, you can create a complete backup of your hard drive or selected partitions, which can be useful in case of data loss or system failure.

Cloning: You can use DriveImage XML to clone a hard drive or partition, which can be useful when upgrading to a larger hard drive or when transferring data to a new computer.

Restoring: DriveImage XML allows you to restore an entire hard drive or selected partitions from a backup image, which can save you time and effort in the event of a system failure.

Overall, DriveImage XML is a reliable and easy-to-use disk imaging software that can help you protect your data and ensure that you can recover from any system failures or data loss.

2. How to install driveimage xml on a 4tb volume:

The process for installing DriveImage XML on a 4TB volume is the same as installing it on any other volume or drive. Here are the general steps to install DriveImage XML on a 4TB volume:

Download the latest version of DriveImage XML from the official website.

Extract the downloaded file to a folder on your computer.

Double-click on the “DriveImageXML.exe” file to launch the installer.

Follow the prompts in the installer to install DriveImage XML on your computer. Make sure to choose the 4TB volume as the installation destination during the installation process.

Once the installation is complete, launch DriveImage XML from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Note that when creating a backup image with DriveImage XML, the software may split the image into multiple files if the backup size exceeds 2TB, as this is a limitation of the NTFS file system used on many Windows computers. To avoid this limitation, you may need to use a different file system or partition the 4TB volume into smaller partitions.

Introduction

It is imperative to make regular backups of all your data in case you lose it. Have you lost your MySQL database and are busy restoring a copy from the last backup?

This tutorial introduces two easy ways to back up and restore your MySQL database.

Prerequisites

A Linux operating system
MySQL installed
An existing database
The mysqldump tool (should be included in your MySQL software)

Backup from the command line with mysqldump

The mysqldump client utility dumps a database, including the SQL statements needed to rebuild it.

By default, the dump file includes the SQL commands to restore tables and data.

The general syntax is used to back up your MySQL database.

sudo mysqldump -u [user] -p [database_name] > [filename].sql

Replace [user] with your username and password (if needed).

The [database_name] is the path and filename of the database.

The > command specifies the output.

[filename] is the path and filename you want to save the dump file as.

Other examples.

Performing a backup of the entire database management system.

mysqldump –all-databases –single-transaction –quick –lock-tables=false > full-backup-$(date +%F).sql -u root -p

To include more than one database in the backup dump file:

sudo mysqldump -u [user] -p [database_1] [database_2] [database_etc] > [filename].sql

How to Restore MySQL with mysqldump

Step 1: Create New Database

On the system that hosts the database, use MySQL to create a new database.

Make sure you’ve named it the same as the database you lost. This creates the foundation file that mysqldump will import the data into. Since the dump file has the commands to rebuild the database, you only need to create the empty database.

Step 2: Restore MySQL Dump

To restore a MySQL backup, enter:

mysql -u [user] -p [database_name] < [filename].sql

Make sure to include [database_name] and [filename] in the path.

Most likely, on the host, [database_name] can be in a root directory, so you may not need to add this path. Make sure you specify the exact path of the dump file you want to recover, including the server name if needed.

Backing up or restoring MySQL with phpMyAdmin

If you run phpMyAdmin, backing up and restoring your MySQL database is simple.

The export function is used as a backup, while the import function is used to restore.

Step 1: Create a MySQL Database Backup

1. Open phpMyAdmin. On the directory tree on the left, click the database you want to back up.

This should open the directory structure in the right-hand window. You’ll also notice that, in the directory tree on the left, all the assets under the main database are highlighted.

2. Click Export on the menu across the top of the display.

You’ll see a section called “Export Method.” Use Quick to save a copy of the whole database. Choose Custom to select individual tables or other special options.

Leave the Format field set to SQL, unless you have a good reason to change it.

3. Click Go. If you select Quick, your web browser will download a copy of the database into your specified downloads folder. You can copy that to a safe location.

Step 2: Clear the Old Database Information

It’s important to clear out old data before restoring a backup. If there’s any old data, it isn’t overwritten when you restore it. This can create duplicate tables, causing errors and conflicts.

1. Open phpMyAdmin, on the navigation pane on the left, choose the database you want to restore.

2. Click the check all box near the bottom. Then, use the drop-down menu labeled With selected to select Drop.

3. The tool should prompt you to confirm that you want to go forward. Click yes.

This will get rid of all the existing data, clearing the way for your restoration.

Step 3: Restore Your Backed up MySQL Database

In phpMyAdmin, the Import tool is used to restore a database.

1. On the menu across the top, click Import.

2. The first section is labeled File to import. A couple of lines down, there’s a line that starts with “Browse your computer,” with a button labeled Choose File. Click that button.

3. Use the dialog box to navigate to the location where you’ve saved the export file that you want to restore. Leave all the options set to default. (If you created your backup with different options, you can select those here.)

4. Click Go.

Conclusion

Now you know how to back up and restore a MySQL Database using phpMyAdmin or mysqldump.

Hopefully, you only need this article to show you how to export a database in phpMyAdmin. But even if you’re not that lucky, backing up or restoring is a fairly simple task.

How to choose the best Ethernet cable for PS5

This article will give you a rundown of which is the best ethernet cable for PS5 and what you should look for in an Ethernet cable so that your gaming experience is always top-notch. Besides a reliable ISP and a fast router, the next thing you need to optimize is your Ethernet cable. Not all Ethernet cables perform the same, so you can’t just plug in a low-end cable and expect a noticeable improvement. Fortunately, you don’t have to spend hours on the internet to find the answer to the question: Which Ethernet cable for PS5, we’ve selected the most gaming-friendly Ethernet cables for you!

[content-egg-block template=top_listing]

How to choose the best Ethernet cable for PS5?

You may think that choosing an Ethernet cable is not that difficult. However, if you are a GAMER or a geek and you hate latency, you should read the rest of this article to know the best ETHERNET cables for ps5.

Check the maximum speed the cable can handle

Before buying a cable you should check its maximum speed, it is marked in Mbps or Gbps, we advise you to buy only cables that can support at least 1 Gbps.

Check the supported bandwidth

Always check the bandwidth supported by the Ethernet cable. Remember that bandwidth affects internet speed, which means the higher the bandwidth, the faster your connection will be.

Connector Type

Look for RJ45 connectors as they are compliant with the standard. Gold-plated pins are very durable, so keep an eye out for those as well.

Available Sizes

Your router may be outside the room where you usually play or right next to your PS5 monitor. Either way, the length of the ethernet cable is a crucial consideration. So before you buy, measure the distance between your PS5 and the router first.

Build quality

Ethernet cables are a long-term investment, as you don’t need to replace them all the time. That’s why you need to choose one that is designed to withstand wear and tear. Weatherproof cables are also very useful as they are highly resistant to water and heat.

What is the difference between categories 6, 7, and 8?

You may have read these terms throughout this list. And if you’re not familiar with them, it’s perfectly normal to get them confused. But don’t worry, because we’ll talk about the difference below, so keep reading!

Category 6

Cat 6 cable is the slowest of the three, but that doesn’t mean it’s not suitable for gaming. This is a particularly good choice if you don’t have fiber and don’t plan to upgrade anytime soon. It can support internet connection speeds of up to 10 Gbps and 550 MHz of bandwidth.

Category 7

Cat 7 cable supports fast transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps. It is also backward compatible with lower cable categories and has a bandwidth of 600 MHz.

Category 8

The highest category of the three options, Category 8 is almost four times faster than Category 7. It offers a bandwidth of 2000 MHz and a transfer speed of up to 40 Gbps. If your ISP can support this speed, it’s best to invest in Cat 8 cables, even if they are relatively expensive.

Ethernet cable VS wi-fi

Wondering what the performance difference is between a wired connection with a good Ethernet cable and a wireless connection? Here is a table of the advantages of each solution:

PS5 ethernet cable

Category 8
High throughput
Low latency
Stable connection
Cost
PERFORMANCE

Wi-fi

5 GHz
Cost
Distance
Wireless
Easy to install

If you play video games often we can only advise you to invest a few dozen euros in a good Category 8 cable.

Conclusion

Gamers hate latency, and that’s a fact. If you’re tired of playing with high pings and crippling latency, it’s time to upgrade your network. If the problem isn’t your ISP and you already have the best router for gaming, then it’s your generic Ethernet cable.

By investing in high-quality Ethernet cables that are optimized for gaming and prepared for heavy use, you can say goodbye to lag and latency.

How to install Ghost on Ubuntu

A full guide for installing, configuring and running Ghost on your Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 or 20.04 server, for use in production

Overview

This the official guide for self-hosting Ghost using our recommended stack of Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 or 20.04. If you’re comfortable installing, maintaining and updating your own software, this is the place for you. By the end of this guide you’ll have a fully configured Ghost install running in production using MySQL.

This install is not suitable for local use or contributing to core.

Prerequisites

The officially recommended production installation requires the following stack:

Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04 or Ubuntu 20.04

NGINX (minimum of 1.9.5 for SSL)

A supported version of Node.js

MySQL 5.7 or 8.0

Systemd

A server with at least 1GB memory

A registered domain name

Before getting started you should set up a working DNS A-Record from you domain, pointing to the server’s IP address. This must be done in advance so that SSL can be configured during setup.

Server Setup

This part of the guide will ensure all prerequisites are met for installing the Ghost-CLI.

Create a new user

Open up your terminal and login to your new server as the root user:

# Login via SSH
ssh root@your_server_ip

# Create a new user and follow prompts
adduser <user>

Note: Using the user name
ghost
causes conflicts with the Ghost-CLI, so it’s important to use an alternative name.

# Add user to superuser group to unlock admin privileges
usermod -aG sudo <user>

# Then log in as the new user
su - <user>

Update packages

Ensure package lists and installed packages are up to date.

# Update package lists
sudo apt-get update

# Update installed packages
sudo apt-get upgrade

Follow any prompts to enter the password you just created in the previous step.

Install NGINX

Ghost uses an NGINX server and the SSL configuration requires NGINX 1.9.5 or higher.

# Install NGINX
sudo apt-get install nginx

If
ufw
was activated, the firewall allows HTTP and HTTPS connections. Open Firewall:

sudo ufw allow 'Nginx Full'

Install MySQL

Next, you’ll need to install MySQL to be used as the production database.

# Install MySQL
sudo apt-get install mysql-server

MySQL on Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04

If you’re running Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04, a password is required to ensure MySQL is compatible with
Ghost-CLI
. This requires a few extra steps!

# To set a password, run
sudo mysql

# Now update your user with this command
# Replace 'password' with your password, but keep the quote marks!
ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'password';

# Then exit MySQL
quit

# and login to your Ubuntu user again
su - <user>

Install Node.js

You will need to have a supported version of Node installed system-wide in the manner described below. If you have a different setup, you may encounter problems.

# Add the NodeSource APT repository for Node 14
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_14.x | sudo -E bash

# Install Node.js
sudo apt-get install -y nodejs

Install Ghost-CLI

Ghost-CLI is a commandline tool to help you get Ghost installed and configured for use, quickly and easily. The npm module can be installed with
npm
or
yarn
.

sudo npm install ghost-cli@latest -g

Once installed, you can always run
ghost help
to see a list of available commands.

Install Ghost

Once your server is correctly setup and
ghost-cli
is installed, you can install Ghost itself. The following steps are the recommended setup. If you need more fine-grained control, the CLI has flags and options that allow you to break down and customise the install steps.

Create a directory

Ghost must be installed in its own directory, with a proper owner and permissions.

# Create directory: Change `sitename` to whatever you like
sudo mkdir -p /var/www/sitename

# Set directory owner: Replace <user> with the name of your user
sudo chown <user>:<user> /var/www/sitename

# Set the correct permissions
sudo chmod 775 /var/www/sitename

# Then navigate into it
cd /var/www/sitename

Run the install process

Now we install Ghost with one final command.

ghost install

Install questions

During install, the CLI will ask a number of questions to configure your site.

Blog URL

Enter the exact URL your publication will be available at and include the protocol for HTTP or HTTPS. For example,
https://example.com
. If you use HTTPS, Ghost-CLI will offer to set up SSL for you. Using IP addresses will cause errors.

MySQL hostname

This determines where your MySQL database can be accessed from. When MySQL is installed on the same server, use
localhost
(press <kbd>Enter</kbd> to use the default value). If MySQL is installed on another server, enter the name manually.

MySQL username / password

If you already have an existing MySQL database, enter the username. Otherwise, enter
root
. Then supply the password for your user.

Ghost database name

Enter the name of your database. It will be automatically set up for you, unless you’re using a non-root MySQL user/pass. In that case the database must already exist and have the correct permissions.

Set up a ghost MySQL user? (Recommended)

If you provided your root MySQL user, Ghost-CLI can create a custom MySQL user that can only access/edit your new Ghost database and nothing else.

Set up NGINX? (Recommended)

Sets NGINX up automatically enabling your site to be viewed by the outside world. Setting up NGINX manually is possible, but why would you choose a hard life?

Set up SSL? (Recommended)

If you used an
https
Blog URL and have already pointed your domain to the right place, Ghost-CLI can automatically set up SSL for you using Let’s Encrypt. Alternatively you do this later by running
ghost setup ssl
at any time.

Enter your email
SSL certification setup requires an email address so that you can be kept informed if there is any issue with your certificate, including during renewal.

Set up systemd? (Recommended)

systemd
is the recommended process manager tool to keep Ghost running smoothly. We recommend choosing
yes
but it’s possible to set up your own process management.

Start Ghost?

Choosing
yes
runs Ghost, and makes your site work.

Future maintenance

Once Ghost is properly set up it’s important to keep it properly maintained and up to date. Fortunately, this is relatively easy to do using Ghost-CLI. Run
ghost help
for a list of available commands, or explore the full Ghost-CLI documentation.

What to do if the install fails

If an install goes horribly wrong, use
ghost uninstall
to remove it and try again. This is preferable to deleting the folder to ensure no artifacts are left behind.

If an install is interrupted or the connection lost, use
ghost setup
to restart the configuration process.

For troubleshooting and errors, use the site search and FAQ section to find information about common error messages.

What’s next?

You’re all set! Now you can start customising your site. Check out our range of tutorials or the Ghost API documentation depending on which page of this choose-your-own-adventure experience you’d like to subject yourself to next.

PuTTY is an SSH and Telnet consumer, which was developed for the Windows platform by Simon Tatham. Right here, on this weblog, I can be offering detailed steerage with the intention to use PuTTY for connecting to the Amazon EC2 instance.

WHAT’S THE PRE-REQUISITION EARLIER THAN YOU UTILIZE PUTTY TO HOOK UP WITH YOUR AMAZON EC2 INSTANCE?

So, earlier than you view this weblog, you must have already created your EC2 occasion. Additionally, you must have downloaded ‘putty’ and ‘puttygen’ in your PC. It may be useful to acquire data about PuTTY earlier than you dive into the weblog.

Therefore, for downloading ‘putty’ and ‘puttygen’, and to acquire data about PuTTY you possibly can take reference to my earlier weblog which has been offered under.

10. A warning will prompt. The server host is not registered on our PC, so we must add it. Click yes.

11. A window will prompt asking for the username, type your distro username, in this demonstration, username is ubuntu.

12. And there you go! Now you’re connected to your AWS instance using Putty on your Windows OS.

Conclusion

As you can see, the steps are quite simple, but sometimes we can mess up the SSH conversion on Windows or how to get your instance information, in case that happens or you forget any step, feel free to come back and take a look on this tutorial of how to connect to ec2 instance ssh.

As you may know, Twitter has more influence that Facebook; although Facebook have more users, it just doesn’t have the same influence that Twitter has. That’s why having followers in Twitter is more important that having friends in Facebook, and Klout is the service that we’re using to test this.

klout1

Klout is a free online service that has become a standard in several apps to measure, in a 1 to 100 scale, your influence in Twitter. To measure you, it uses an algorithm to know how many of your followers really “listen” to you (RT, Mentions, Messages…), it also works by how many followers do you currently have.

I tested it with a friend of mine, and the difference is obvious.

klout2

There are two main difference that affect this numbers:

Her account is over two years old, mine is barely a year
Her account is public, mine is private
Many Twitter apps use this service: HootSuite, Seesmic and Appsfire are just three of them. Remember, the influence is based in how you use Twitter, if you are new here, read this tips, you may find them helpful.

I keep seeing everyday how Twitter gets more and more popular, that’s great! But most users are from Facebook, and they’re used to do things Facebook way: upload every photo they took, grammar errors, liking everything, change the profile picture every 2 days… Stuff like that. Lately, there is a huge Facebook-to-Twitter migration, and now Twitter is starting to be a social network instead of a microblogging service. If you are a noobie, please take read carefully these tips.

The main question:

Why do people change from one to another?

> Twitter is a lot less invasive than Facebook.

That explains everything.

Let’s begin, the Username.

The username must be something easy to remember, and easy to type. Not only that, it has to be as short as possible. Go with something original, something that represents you; the name product if a product, your nickname or name if person.

DON’T USE NUMBERS! This is not a mail address, there are thousands of names that you can use but people are too lazy to try them. To know if a username is available, just type https://twitter.com/XXXXXXX, where XXXXXXX is the person username (https://twitter.com/tatosgr).

A few examples of a short, easy to remember and explicit usernames are:

@tatosgr
@ceoSteveJobs
@ericschmidt
@twitter
@google
@facebook

See? Simple, elegant, easy to remember, to type, and short as possible.

Tweeting

Never, ABSOLUBTELLY NEVER ASK FOR FOLLOWERS! This is not Facebook! You can’t just ask for a followback (you follow and that person follows you, and vice versa). To earn a follower you must be interesting. Try this:

Watch your grammar, here it matters
Don’t upload pictures as if was a Facebook album, use an external service and then link to the album or account
When quoting, always name the person who said it, we share, not steal
You can share anything, but this is mainly to share ideas, so if you don’t have anything to say, don’t say anything. A few minutes without tweeting won’t cost you followers
When sharing links, put the title of the article/photo/video or whatever. In case there’s not, put a short description of it
Use a URL shortener, if necessary. If the link fits, don’t shrink it
PUT THE SOURCE! You won’t lose any credit for copying it. Instead, you’ll lose it if you steal it
ReTweeting (RT)

A ReTweet is repeating a Tweet in your TL (timeline) to your followers, so it also appear in theirs. Don’t RT everything, a RT is not a Like. Remember, we share ideas, so when RT, share a link from it source, share a nice and original quote, share something someone says that you think your followers will like, don’t just any quote you read from products. Again, this is Twitter, not Facebook. Don’t use RT as if was a Like.

HashTag

A hashtag is something people puts after a ‘#’. A hashtag is a tag (free software, Google, twitter). It represents a common word to use in searches. Google use tags in it search, Twitter hashtags.

Don’t put a hashtag in every tweet, people don’t like it. Except for products, they can put as many hashtags they like so they appear on the searches.

There are common HT, like:

#Win
#Fail
#EpicWin
#NowPlaying – #NP
#ForeverAlone
It can be anything. Sometimes people use it at the end of the tweet as an extra (#sarcasm, #obvious, #Inthingsnoonecares). But remember, use them wisely, it can cost you followers.

NOTE: You can create a personal hashtag in an specific tweet once in a while

Trending Topic (TT)

A TT is a HT that goes popular. When a lot of people use the same HT it becomes a HT and it appears on the Twitters home page.

TT

You don’t have to use it, unless you really want to. If you create a HT, and this gets to that list, you can tell everyone about it, that’s quite something to be proud of.

Security

If you want privacy, you can always put your tweets as privates so you won’t appear in the searches. Most times, this cost a few followers, but is worth it.

private

I hope you find this tips helpful, they may be a lot more, but these are the ones that comes to my mind at the moment. If you have one, share it with us in the comments and I’ll update the post with it.

In case you don’t know this, go check your AppData/Local folder. You’ll see something like this:

These folders, located speciffically on “X:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\”, are empty and have random names, and if you don’t want to risk messing with the AppData folder, let me tell you that is completely safe to delete these folders.

These are created every time we open any Windows Live service (Messenger, Writer, Mail…), or at least it happens from the Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3508.1109) to latest, Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3538.513).

The problem, apparently, is that Windows Live services are not placing these temp folders on the Temp folder, instead, these are being placed by mistake on the Local folder by error. This, although is a problem, cannot be fixed. Each time you open and close any service, a new empty folder will appear.

But don’t worry, you can safely delete them without any risk since these are only created to store a file of 1Kb of size for almost a second, and then the file is deleted and these remain empty. I recommend you to do it at least once a week to maintain you system clean and organized.
