Tip of the week and Yellow Coffee Maker

2012-11-23T13:45:00.001-06:00

Tip of the week!!

When you tip someone's restaurant/bakery - leave a message on their wall - even just the letter 't' (for tip). If you do this, you will increase your tip back rate at least 50%. Why this is important - the news feed only keeps the last ten tippers. The wall keeps a LOT longer history. If you just tip and do not leave a message the owner could come back three hours later and never know you even visited! ALWAYS leave a message on a wall for someone you tipped!

Updates:
Looks like both bakery and restaurant story have new mystery autumn boxes!

Restaurant Story now has a new appliance - Yellow Coffee Maker. You will need 10 screws and 18 new yellow metal sheets (new gift!)

Yellow Coffee Maker

Updates

2012-11-13T09:56:00.002-06:00

There has been a bunch of new updates out including a new stove for bakery story called the Autumn Oven. There are also new autumn themed chairs, tables, wallpapers, decor and a counter.

For restaurant story there are a few new recipes (no new appliance) but tons of new decor you can buy with coins and not gems!

Someone asked me this week how do you redecorate? You can put ALL of your tables, chairs and decor into storage and just pull them back out via the decor, tables and chairs tabs.

DO NOT STORE COUNTERS WITH FOOD! You will lose all the food when you pull the counters back out of storage. Also - if you store an appliance that is baking food - you will lose the food when you pull it back out from storage.

One more tip for newbies - if you don't have enough food and you have people leaving the store with a mad face - block the door with anything (chair, table, etc) and it will keep people from entering the restaurant so you can bake enough food to open again.

Have a great week!!

As of right now I've stopped playing because of time constraints, but the tutorial I created is accurate last I knew. I may be on in the future! Until then, thank you for all the friendships I've made! (HUGS)

Changes to Neighbor list

2012-01-02T23:08:00.003-06:00

There were recent changes to your neighbor list. Once you visit a neighbor, they will drop to the BOTTOM of your neighbor list in alphabetical order.

I love this new change. I can finally keep track of who I tipped and when you gift, the neighbors you tipped (or visited) will be at the bottom of your list.

This change was rolled out to Android AND iOS.

What do you think of the change?!

Android Update!

2011-12-20T10:33:00.000-06:00

IF you are an Android user, there is a much waited for update in the market.

What I see so far:
Collectibles
Sushi bar (restaurant Story)
Badges (under messages/badges tab)

Things we didn't get with this update that iOS has
We don't have select all gifting
None of the new Christmas appliances
We still can't see parts in our gift box

Idevice User Help

2011-12-19T13:33:00.000-06:00

If possible, can someone with an iDevice (Ipad, iTouch, iPhone) that has time and can do screen prints, contact me to help with updates? I have an android and I do NOT have access to any of the new appliances, and it sounds like TeamLava doesn't care about adding it anytime soon.

If interested, please contact me on the contact me form to the side.

Thank you!

Updates for Christmas content

2011-12-19T13:32:00.001-06:00

Android users are left in the dust (can you tell I'm bitter about it?) and do NOT have these releases.

But iOS Users are seeing new features: - if you don't have them - go download the Christmas version of Restaurant and Bakery story.
1. Prechecked gift all gifting. (gift all)
2. Turducken Fryer and Chestnut Roaster

3. marzipan Maker and candy cane maker

Also updated are the Christmas gift boxes.

Android and iOS got a new fireplace oven. This is a buildable oven but it is NOT an easy oven! What a bummer!!

New Boxes

2011-11-27T22:20:00.001-06:00

Bakery Story has a new Cake and Tea Box and Restaurant Story has a new Renaissance Chest. Check out the items in the boxes here:

Seasonal Items

2011-11-27T21:24:00.001-06:00

Halloween items being removed from all games

Out with the old, in with the new. Please note that all Halloween items are being removed from all our games. This will be the policy moving forward with seasonal content; when the holiday season is over, the items will no longer be available from the Store or Design menus.

Master those crops, recipes and orders right away!

This will not affect animals/decorations/etc. you've purchased and wish to keep in the game, like Nightmare in Farm Story, the Bat Belfry in City Story, and more.

Lost Tiles/Wallpaper etc Update

2011-10-19T10:33:00.003-05:00

http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?18954-Lost-floor-wall-decorations-and-doors

Lost floor/wall decorations and doors
Hey all,

As a result of maintenance last night, some users will have lost wall/floor decorations and/or their door. This could be occurring in Restaurant, Fashion and/or Bakery.

Our engineering team is currently working on resolving this matter as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience while we work on this issue.

Edit:

As of right now, we are not able to recover the items that were lost. 50 Gems have been added to the games of players that were affected by this issue to replace the lost decorations.

I realize 50 Gems isn't enough for everyone's Store, particularly in the forums where we have plenty of Superusers. In this instance, you will need to emailsupport@teamlava.com, who will investigate your account and take additional action if necessary.

As you can imagine, this process is fairly time-consuming. Please be patient with our Support team regarding this issue, as your particular case may not be fixed overnight. However, our team is working around the clock to ensure all of our users are taken care of.

If you have any further questions, please let me know. (Though please wait a few hours for responses, as sleep is needed).

iDevice Restaurant Story Users

2011-10-18T14:09:00.001-05:00

If you are wondering where your Halloween content is, go to the app store and download the 'Halloween' version of Restaurant Story! Android devices already have access to all the new Halloween content.

The Great Update 10/14

2011-10-14T21:40:00.003-05:00

As far as I know, I believe iDevices are getting this update as well. Last week's update was only available to Android. If not, then I heard that they will shortly be releasing a Halloween Version of the games so sit tight.

One very interesting thing I saw this week was the 'gem purchase' items that are only for sale with the limited time gem purchase option is also available for purchase under design.

Also check out the Bakery Store Halloween Chest and the Restaurant Story Halloween Chest.

Bakery Story Update

Spooky Wall, Spooky Window and a new Recipe.

More Updates 9/23

2011-10-02T00:44:00.002-05:00

The previous week's release did NOT have a pop-up banner telling what was released. I just found it in the design tab. In addition the special gem purchase was only available a few hours before that pop up never showed up again. Obviously team lava had some issues last week with new item releases.

Donut Lamp (previous weeks release)

New Recipe for the donut maker from last week

Blueberry Scone - 8 hr recipe

Hawaiian Table

Coconut Chair

More new updates - Collectibles and sushi bar for iOS only (not android) devices

2011-10-01T23:50:00.002-05:00

I don't have this update yet (I always seem to get my updates late or NOT AT ALL because I'm on the android platform...). I stole this verbiage from the forums here ==> http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?18256-New-Updates-and-Collectibles!

Collectibles are objects you receive from doing various actions in our games. The items will pop out, and you tap them to add to your Collections. A pop-up will display at the top of your screen momentarily to show you how far along you are in gathering all the items for that Collection.
You can view your collections and the rewards from the Main Menu > Collectibles tab.

Now, when you get all the items for your collection, what then? Well, it varies from item to item. Some award Coins and XP. Some award a bonus item!

That's not all, either. Like crops or recipes, Collectibles also come with their own levels of Mastery. Complete a Collection enough times, and you'll get bonus XP, Coins... sometimes even Gems!

For those of you who have the update, check it out, and let us know what you think! For those who don't have it, don't worry -- it should be coming soon.

You can redeem when you have all 4 items in a line highlighted. if it's still gray, you cannot redeem. The inventory is the list at the bottom of the screen when you go into design mode. The redeemed items will be in there- for instance, the utensil rack is in the wall item tab, etc.
There currently is a problem with the chef hats moving- many people have complained that the hats move but go right back to 0 when you exit out and come back (myself included). it's just a bug that'll need to be worked out.

And guess what - this update is ONLY FOR iOS - NOT ANDROID. It said Android should come out soon. They said that with badges and as of right now, we still don't have badges on the Android platform!!

I got these from the forums on tips on how to get certain collectibles:

RESTAURANT STORY
Floral Bouquet ? Buying wall items
Cooking Tools ? tipping tables, buying floor items
Chef Implements ? preparing/serving food and drink
Baking Goodness ? preparing/serving food and drink
Yummy Ingredients ? preparing/serving food and drink (these seem difficult to get, haven?t figured out the technicalities yet)

BAKERY STORY
Same as Restaurant Story so far.

**Supposedly there is a bug where the progress bar goes up and a few hours later it is back at zero.

Pictures of the collectibles:

Looks like with this iOS market update they also

released a sushi bar

New Sushi bar - only iOS has it right now

New Sushi Dishes

now show HOW MANY parts you have in your queue. This is a nice update.

You can see that you can finally see how many parts you have.

Now if only it would hurry to Android!

Enter your email to the RIGHT (where it says follow by email) if you want to be emailed all the updates for the game!

Looks like some of you were cooking 'halloween recipes last night' and today they are gone. There was a post that they will be back. Lucky you got a sneak peek!

First of all - gifts are now RESET AFTER 24 HOURS! They no longer reset after midnight CST! Click here to read more about it - http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?18001-Some-updates-about-Gifting

It was a surprise when I was accepting new gifts today when I logged in!

Candy Corn Coffee and Pumpkin Cookies in BS

Eyeball Stew and Mummy Pizza in RS!

A cabana lounge with a gem purchase in RS

Sundae Sofa with a gem purchase in BS

I see some people are baking these on their doughnut makers - it's called Doughnut Surprise. I checked my doughnut maker and I do not have this recipe. Perhaps I haven't gotten yet another roll out of new stuff as early as a few others got - so keep an eye out for this new recipe!!

I still haven't gotten the badges updates - almost a week later!

I'm also still having issues where, when I send a gift and select the people to send to, their names are still able to be selected to gift again, even after I already sent a gift. I am starting to get gifts now, though!

More issues....

2011-09-22T11:11:00.001-05:00

1. I still don't have badges. It is fairly hard to TELL you about them when I don't have the update myself.

2. MANY people are having issues with SENDING gifts. I am one of them. I click on the boxes to send the gift, and then when I click on gift again those SAME people are showing up - as if I never gifted them. It's a bug - See here: http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?17935-BS-and-RS-unlimited-gifting-(all-Games)

I AM able to accept gifts on RS but NOT on BS. I have the latest versions of both games and it does not seem to be limited to iphone or android (I'm android and Iphone users have issues too).

Badges 9/20

2011-09-20T22:12:00.001-05:00

As of today, I STILL don't have badges on either one of my games. Not sure what is taking teamlava so long!!

Badges are here...well kinda

2011-09-17T14:28:00.001-05:00

I don't have badges yet so I can only tell you what I know about them from the forums.

Supposedly they are being deployed to both Restaurant Story and Bakery Story in waves. I haven't gotten the new functionality yet (bummer) but I see some of them have.

These are the badges for RS that were posted in the forums.

There are three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Some players have been logging in and getting badges, gems and a bunch of coins right off the bat because they have already completed a bunch of the badge requirements and teamlava is making everyone happy and making the tasks retroactive so if you completed the tasks before they rolled out the badge function, you will still get the gems and money.

Silver and Bronze will earn you Coins and Experience

* Gold badges will earn you a Gem each

* You can find out what badges you currently have in Main (or Menu) > Messages > Badges

* Some users will have earned them retroactively, though not all. It seems as though some badges are retroactive, others are NOT.

* Right now, not all users will have access to badges. This isn't dependent on whether they're iOS or Android. Teamlava is working on bringing it to all users, but this may take time.

Here is the list for bakery story:
