Within the procedure fat deposits that lie just under the skin are removed using a cannula (hollow tube/ needle) and a suction device, called an aspirator, that can be compared to a vacuum like machine. After having made a small incision, the surgeon then moves the cannula back and forth through the fat tissue in order to break up the fat cells. Once broken, the aspirator sucks &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/05/are-you-battling-belly-fat.html"&gt;the excess fat out of the body&lt;/a&gt; via the cannula. The procedure can be carried out with solely using general anesthesia, but depending on the needs of the patient and the amount of liposuction being done, more anesthesia can be administered. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There are a variety of different techniques that are used, where the quantity of injected fluid and how the cannula is used, generally divides the techniques into their specific categories. The most commonly used techniques are described below.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Suction-assisted liposuction (SAL)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is the most frequently used method and follows the procedure described above. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ultrasound- assisted liposuction (UAL)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This technique utilizes a cannula that sends out pulses of ultrasound throughout the body. The Ultrasound is able to break through the walls of the fat cells, which in effect dissolves the fat. The emulsified fat is then more easily obtained from the body. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This technique is usually applied in more fibrous areas as the ultrasound facilitates the break-down of the tissue. Therefore, this method is usually employed on areas such as the chest area of men, if breasts have developed. In comparison to the standard liposuction method this technique has several advantages and disadvantages. The obvious advantage being that tougher tissues can be worked on, but additionally there is also less blood loss. The disadvantages are that this procedure takes more time, in addition to an enhanced risk of pockets of fluids forming, which are called seromas. Moreover, after the UAL procedure a SAL procedure is also necessary to eliminate any excess liquid fat left behind. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Power assisted liposuction (PAL)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is basically the same as the standard SAL method, accept that the cannula has been automated so that the surgeon does not need to make the back and forth movement.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Twin cannula (assisted) liposuction (TCAL or TCL)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This method uses an optimized cannula, which is able to prevent more tissue damage than conventional cannulas. Here, the cannula is not just one tube, but encompasses another tube within. The twin tube system allows the surgeon to be more precise, so that less of the non-fat tissue is affected.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;External Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (XUAL or EUAL)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Instead of transmitting the ultrasound from within the body via the cannula like in the UAL method, in this technique the ultrasound is applied externally. The advantage of this technique is that the negative side-effects of UAL do not apply. This means that complications such as seromas or skin necrosis can be avoided. Furthermore, even less blood loss has been observed, less scar tissue is formed and general discomfort is lower. Nevertheless, as this method is a recent development, surgeons tend to use UAL more frequently due to the lack of formal studies of the XUAL method. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Water-assisted liposuction&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Another way to unfasten the bonds of the cell wall of the fat tissue is to use water. During the procedure, water is added and then sucked out by the cannula. What are the risks that you might have to face? Any surgical procedure, even if it can be carried out very quickly and with minimal discomfort, has risks that should not be underestimated. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Generally, negative side effects arise not from the actual procedure, but from incorrect administration and poor judgment on the part of the surgeon. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the surgeon who is performing the procedure has received excellent reviews. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So what can happen to you while on the operating table and after?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Discomfort of the given area:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; The areas that have been treated will be sore after the procedure and will most likely bruise a bit too. This is normal and will dissipate in a few days.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Too much surgery:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; Do not combine various procedures in one visit to the surgeon. Not only is anesthesia of any kind taxing on the body, but it has also been linked to liposuction complications. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cosmetic irregularities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; Lack of caution and/or judgment on the doctors behalf have led to skin irregularities in the area that has been treated. Thus, when a cannula with an unsuitable size is being used, the skin may not be able to repair damage, consequently irregularities are left behind. Larger needles are more commonly used by surgeons who perform full-body-lipos. A fitness trainer or gym instructor may advise you to go in for stomach crunches to sport a flat abdomen. Whenever you’ve the urge to snack munch on an apple or carrot. That will not add weight. Finally drink plenty of water to wash out the toxins from the body. Are they too easy?&amp;nbsp; Below I go over what&amp;rsquo;s great and not so great about this fitness program and you can decide for yourself.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/04/what-is-best-deal-with-p90x.html"/What%2BIs%2BThe%2BDeal%2BWith%2BP90X.jpg"&gt;&lt;img title="What Is The Best Deal With P90X"style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 350px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zLiUeweuwFI/T4jr5MicCwI/AAAAAAAAAp0/-Nns6oUqFGM/s320/What%2BIs%2BThe%2BDeal%2BWith%2BP90X.jpg" border="0" alt="What Is The Best Deal With P90X"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5731089893679696642" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Home Sweet Home&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;The single greatest thing (and for some the biggest pitfall) of this program is that you can do it from home.&amp;nbsp; All you need is the DVD&amp;rsquo;s, a TV and DVD player or computer and some space to move around.&amp;nbsp; There&amp;rsquo;s an optional pull up bar you can get but you don&amp;rsquo;t need it.&amp;nbsp; Bands and weights are encouraged as well.&amp;nbsp; There&amp;rsquo;s no driving to the gym, slogging through the rain, high gym fees or set time.&amp;nbsp; You can do the workout whenever.&amp;nbsp; For some people it might lead to slacking if they aren&amp;rsquo;t self disciplined.&amp;nbsp; For me, this meant I could work around my crazy schedule and get my workouts in. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Variety&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The program is 12 weeks.&amp;nbsp; You work out 6 days a week and rest on the 7th.&amp;nbsp; There&amp;rsquo;s a different DVD each of the 6 days.&amp;nbsp; I found the yoga one of the hardest while many people struggle with plyometrics.&amp;nbsp; Regardless of what you find easy or not, the variety of the workouts are great.&amp;nbsp; You alternate between legs and arms and core.&amp;nbsp; So one part of your body will be sore ALL THE TIME.&amp;nbsp; Which I liked, it means something is working.&amp;nbsp; The DVD&amp;rsquo;s get switched around in the 3 months as well so it rarely gets boring. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Even the Pros Sweat&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;While Tony Horton seems to have the energy of a 5 year old and the stamina of a bull, the people he has with him doing the workout are at different fitness levels.&amp;nbsp; (Even though they all have successfully completed the program.)&amp;nbsp; They sweat and struggle too, which is great to watch.&amp;nbsp; Some of them are incredibly muscular (that blonde lady is scary strong) and others are just nicely toned.&amp;nbsp; It makes me hate them less when I feel I can&amp;rsquo;t do another pushup.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Speedy Metabolism&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;I found myself starving all the time while doing this workout.&amp;nbsp; There was no way I could diet.&amp;nbsp; &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/02/how-to-lose-weight.html"&gt;You burn too many calories&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; While I did eat a ton of carbs and meat and cheese, I never gained any fat.&amp;nbsp; After spending years trying to figure out how to less, it was well worth the pain of the workout to be able to eat whatever.&amp;nbsp; And I drank a ton of water all day. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;p class="note"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Results? Yes and no.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;Something no one told me about this program was that my body would get thicker.&amp;nbsp; And not with fat but with muscle.&amp;nbsp; It really and truly pounds on muscle to your arms and legs.&amp;nbsp; But because I was toned, I didn&amp;rsquo;t care.&amp;nbsp; &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/02/want-to-lose-15-pounds-quickly.html"&gt;I actually put on 3 pounds by the end &lt;/a&gt;(lost in the beginning and gained by the end.)&amp;nbsp; However, even though it&amp;rsquo;s been 7 months since I finished it, my body still retains much of the muscle and it takes no more than a week to start shaping my body back.&amp;nbsp; Where in it took about 3 weeks to start seeing results the first time.&amp;nbsp; So a big YES to results, just not the ones I anticipated.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Yes this program is hard.&amp;nbsp; Yes it&amp;rsquo;s doable.&amp;nbsp; And you have to be committed to see changes.&amp;nbsp; But it&amp;rsquo;s incredibly worth it in the end.&amp;nbsp; I highly recommend it to anyone.&amp;nbsp; I even got my dad on it and he loves it.&amp;nbsp; Cheers to a new body and burning off the holiday add-ons!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4777468941827646284-5819519569513558957?l=www.howtoreduceobesity.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

For biceps of course you will arguably need a pull up bar, but these are very cheap and very easy to install. For the legs meanwhile there are many different options and you can do things like squats, one legged squats, lunges, box jumps, jumping jacks etc in order to build up leg muscle and power.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Many of the perceived limitations of bodyweight training then come down to people not knowing just how many different exercises there are you can do with your own body mass. It often seems to be caused by emotional issues from growing up with authoritarian, demanding parents. It is sometimes genetic and runs in families. There are likely biological issues such as serotonin deficiencies and sometimes a link to brain disorders such as Tourette's Syndrome. OCB patients often suffer from depression as well.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;An estimated 6 million Americans suffer with OCB at some point in their lives. The onset is usually in the teens or early adulthood. An equal number of men and women have it, though the manifestations differ. Women are more often obsessive cleaners, whereas men are more often compulsive checkers.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Some people suffer from obsessive thoughts without any ritual behavior, while others deal with both. &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/04/what-is-obesity-causes-and-treatment.html"&gt;Obsessive&lt;/a&gt; thoughts are those that are incessant and distressing irrational thoughts that implant a belief in the mind that something bad is going to happen, whether inevitably or as the result of not doing something to perfection. Trying to ignore the thought just intensifies it.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Compulsive behaviors are sometimes added to the thoughts, causing people to perform unproductive rituals in order to prevent something bad from happening. This is often manifested as handwashing, skin picking, counting steps, touching objects in a certain manner, taking certain routes even if it means wasted time, or incessant cleaning. &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2011/08/6-problems-of-being-obese.html"&gt;Many sufferers are obsessed&lt;/a&gt; with order and symmetry, for instance their shirts must be arranged in a particular color and sleeve length order in the closet or else they feel the whole world is out of sorts. This involves exposure to triggers in order to learn that nothing bad will happen if some rectification is not made- such as having them touch something they perceive as dirty and keeping them from washing their hands.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Medication is often helpful, as well as therapy to learn new coping skills and substitutions for their negative behaviors. But then there was no time for grooming, as my business needed me 24/7. Never gave a thought about my own fitness levels until my knees started troubling me. That is when it struck me that &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/02/how-to-lose-weight.html"&gt;I need to reduce my weight&lt;/a&gt;.  I tried using several stuff for weight reduction. Nothing worked. I knew that it’ll take me some time to start running at full speed. Initial two days were spent in walking to warm up my body. It was very difficult as I hadn’t exercised for a long time. I realized the effects of not working out. In my mind I walked, jogged and ran the whole time getting used to the idea. That gave me the impetus to continue. Once I walked for two days I started to jog for the next one week. Here I would like to mention that I couldn’t jog the whole distance. It was only for half a mile I jogged and the next half I walked. This way I completed my work out for a week to ten days. This was the most difficult period. My stomach cramped, my knees played up, I was breathless and I just couldn’t do it. It was sheer determination and will power to get back in shape that kept me going. As a cross country runner I had learned to focus only on the victory post and nothing else. The path is never smooth and hurdles are bound to arise. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;h3&gt;A runner’s diet&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;Two weeks of strenuous routine made me rest for a while. I would like to mention here that when you’re into &lt;a href="http://www.howtoreduceobesity.com/2012/02/using-treadmill-to-lose-weight.html"&gt;running to lose weight&lt;/a&gt; you should do so at your pace. If you’re unable to run for a longer time start jogging or brisk walking for a while and then push the envelope. Besides work out take care of your diet. Add proteins and carbohydrates like brown rice, wheat bread and cereals to your diet. No need to gorge on them. Just take enough to keep you from starvation. Of course you can add plenty of vegetables, salads and yogurt to your diet. The carbs get burned out while you run giving you energy to do so. Here are some do’s and don’ts for runners. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;* Do not run on empty stomach. Eat at least an hour before you exercise.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;* Always carry a bottle of water with you. Don’t drink while running. Also just drink enough to keep your mouth from getting parched.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;* Don’t suddenly stop running. Gradually do so. Before completing your run, jog for a while or walk a mile or so. This will help the body to cool down.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;* Take a warm water bath after a running session. This will help the body to cool down.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;* If you’re used to running barefoot do so. Else wear proper footwear. Running shoes that give comfort to your leg without injuring it is a must.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;* Wear cotton clothing while you run.
