<u>Removing process </u></h3>
No additional advertisements on the pages we design is a good thing about Weebly. But you know that the footer at the bottom of the pages is kind of a thing that should not be included inside a professional website as customers do not much care about the sub domain. Here how it is removed ;<br />
<br />
You remember what I mentioned above about including JavaScript inside the < head > tag? Yes that is what we are going to use for removing the footer and after you can add your own footer on the bottom of the page using customizable HTML elements. Just follow the following steps;<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Login to your Weebly account and select "Edit Site" button related to the website you are going to remove the footer.</li>
<li>Go to "Settings" tab on the top of the control panel and go to the SEO floating tab, then locate the text box called "Header Code".</li>
<li>You may have your meta tags and other JavaScript code inside it. Just go to the bottom of what you have already inside the Header Code box and insert the following code in it.</li>
<li>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<script language=javascript
type='text/javascript'>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
window.onload = hideDiv;</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
function hideDiv() {
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
if (document.getElementById) {
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
document.getElementById('footer').style.visibility
= 'hidden';
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
}
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
}
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
</script> </div>
</li>
<li>Then click "Publish" button for publishing your site.</li>
<li>Note that this will not hide the footer when you edit your website from your control panel. Once you have published your site and go see that your home page's footer shall be removed.</li>
<li>Go to "Pages" tab on the top of the control panel and select each and every page's "Advanced Settings" and insert the above code inside the "Header Code" for removing the footer from each and every page of your website.</li>
</ol>
Hope this helped you and do not forget to speak your mind and share what you think & happy webdesign, Cheers !!!<br />
