The simplest of these strategies was designed for a game in which the gambler wins his stake if a coin comes up heads and loses it if the coin comes up tails. The strategy had the gambler double his bet after every loss, so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake. The martingale strategy has been applied to roulette as well, as the probability of hitting either red or black is close to 50%. Since a gambler with infinite wealth will, almost surely, eventually flip heads, the martingale betting strategy was seen as a sure thing by those who advocated it. Of course, none of the gamblers in fact possessed infinite wealth, and the exponential growth of the bets would eventually bankrupt "unlucky" gamblers who chose to use the martingale. It is therefore a good example of a Taleb distribution – the gambler usually wins a small net reward, thus appearing to have a sound strategy. However, the gambler's expected value does indeed remain zero (or less than zero) because the small probability that he will suffer a catastrophic loss exactly balances with his expected gain. (In a casino, the expected value is negative, due to the house's edge.) The likelihood of catastrophic loss may not even be very small. The bet size rises exponentially. This, combined with the fact that strings of consecutive losses actually occur more often than common intuition suggests, can bankrupt a gambler quickly. Casino betting limits eliminate use of the martingale strategy. Mathematical analysis One round of the idealized martingale without time or credit constraints can be formulated mathematically as follows. Let the coin tosses be represented by a sequence X0, X1, … of independent random variables, each of which is equal to H with probability p, and T with probability q = 1 – p. Let N be time of appearance of the first H; in other words, X0, X1, …, XN–1 = T, and XN = H. If the coin never shows H, we write N = ∞. N is itself a random variable because it depends on the random outcomes of the coin tosses. In the first N – 1 coin tosses, the player following the martingale strategy loses 1, 2, …, 2N–1 units, accumulating a total loss of 2N − 1. On the Nth toss, there is a win of 2N units, resulting in a net gain of 1 unit over the first N tosses. For example, suppose the first four coin tosses are T, T, T, H making N = 3. The bettor loses 1, 2, and 4 units on the first three tosses, for a total loss of 7 units, then wins 8 units on the fourth toss, for a net gain of 1 unit. As long as the coin eventually shows heads, the betting player realizes a gain. What is the probability that N = ∞, i.e., that the coin never shows heads? Clearly it can be no greater than the probability that the first k tosses are all T; this probability is qk. Unless q = 1, the only nonnegative number less than or equal to qk for all values of k is zero. It follows that N is finite with probability 1; therefore with probability 1, the coin will eventually show heads and the bettor will realize a net gain of 1 unit. This property of the idealized version of the martingale accounts for the attraction of the idea. In practice, the idealized version can only be approximated, for two reasons. Unlimited credit to finance possibly astronomical losses during long runs of tails is not available, and there is a limit to the number of coin tosses that can be performed in any finite period of time, precluding the possibility of playing long enough to observe very long runs of tails. As an example, consider a bettor with an available fortune, or credit, of 2^{43} (approximately 9 trillion) units, roughly half the size of the current US national debt in dollars. With this very large fortune, the player can afford to lose on the first 42 tosses, but a loss on the 43rd cannot be covered. The probability of losing on the first 42 tosses is q^{42}, which will be a very small number unless tails are nearly certain on each toss. In the fair case where q=1/2, we could expect to wait something on the order of 2^{42} tosses before seeing 42 consecutive tails; tossing coins at the rate of one toss per second, this would require approximately 279,000 years. This version of the game is likely to be unattractive to both players. The player with the fortune can expect to see a head and gain one unit on average every two tosses, or two seconds, corresponding to an annual income of about 31.6 million units until disaster (42 tails) occurs. This is only a 0.0036 percent return on the fortune at risk. The other player can look forward to steady losses of 31.6 million units per year until hitting an incredibly large jackpot, probably in something like 279,000 years, a period far longer than any currency has yet existed. If q > 1/2, this version of the game is also unfavorable to the first player in the sense that it would have negative expected winnings. The impossibility of winning over the long run, given a limit of the size of bets or a limit in the size of one's bankroll or line of credit, is proven by the optional stopping theorem. NOW TO APPLY IT TO BINARY.COMYOU NEED THE FOLLOWING 1. They’re called ‘binary’ because there can be only two outcomes – win or lose. If your prediction is correct, you receive a payout that is determined at the start of the trade. If not, you just lose your initial stake. You only need to make four decisions to execute a binary contract. 1. Choose the Underlying The first thing to do is choose the asset you wish to trade, such as gold or oil, stocks or FX rates (The value of a binary option is derived from the price of the underlying asset). A big advantage of trading options is that you are not buying or selling the actual asset. 2. Choose the Duration of the Trade Each binary option contract runs for a set time – with Binary.com you can choose a contract that runs between 10 seconds and 365 days. 3. Choose how you want to Trade the Market Binary.com offers five ways to trade your chosen asset: Rise/Fall - where you can profit from the market rising or falling from its current level. Higher/Lower - where you can profit from the market ending higher or lower than a target price. Touch/No Touch - where you can profit from the market touching or not touching a target price. In/Out - where you can profit from the market staying inside, or going outside, two price targets. Tick Trades - where you can profit from ultra short-term market movements over the next five ‘ticks’. 4. Choose your Payout With Binary.com you’re in control of how much you can win. You specify a fixed payout amount at the outset, and your stake – what you pay – is then calculated. Binary.com offers payouts from $1 to $100,000.

Nigeria Confirms Ten Cases Of Ebola

Nigeria’s Minister for Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has confirmed the existence of ten full-blown cases of Ebola 22 days after the virus berthed in Nigeria He also said 177 people are currently under surveillance and are being regularly checked to see if they have contracted the virus. During a press conference on Monday, the minister recalled how Liberian-American Financial Consultant Patrick Sawyer, who was under surveillance in Liberia for a suspected case of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), evaded the authorities in Monrovia and tragically boarded a plane to Lagos Nigeria to spread the deadly disease on Nigerian soil. “His intention was to connect to Calabar in Nigeria to attend a two-day retreat organized by the ECOWAS Commission, and later travel to the US via Atlanta Georgia to celebrate his daughter's birthday,” Chukwu said. “However, because of the protocols initiated in all our ports since the EVD outbreak in the three countries of the sub region since March this year, Mr Sawyer was flagged at the point of disembarkation in Lagos. He was then accordingly quarantined and transferred to a hospital in Lagos, straight from the airport, for further actions.” He said that of the initial 70 under both surveillance and isolation for suspected contact with Sawyer, 9 of them developed symptoms of Ebola and were confirmed to have EVD by the same laboratory at LUTH. Tragically, one of them, a nurse, passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2014. He praised President Goodluck Jonathan for approving the National Ebola Virus Disease Emergency Containment Plan within the initial 48hrs of the death of the first Nigerian from EVD, with immediate cash backing of N1.9bn “The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Health and its agencies, works very closely with the World Health Organization (WHO), Unicef, the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local authorities and other international partners to further deepen and broaden these containment efforts. “We shall single out the WHO and the CDC for special commendation for their understanding and continuous support in this challenging moment; particularly for the partnership and most importantly for the capacity building of our Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).” Chukwu explained that 22 days after EVD first landed in Nigeria, 177 primary and secondary contacts of the index case have been placed under surveillance or isolation. Nine developed EVD, bringing the total number of cases in Nigeria to 10; and of these, two have died (the Liberian American and the Nigerian nurse) while eight are alive and currently on treatment. “At the sub regional level, the EVD was discussed as a substantive agenda during the Summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government on the 9th of July 2014 in Accra Ghana. Nigeria played, as usual, its leading, pioneering and compassionate role during the Summit with the first and only donation of 3.5m USD humanitarian and capacity-building aid to the three affected countries of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, the West African Health Organization (WAHO), and the ECOWAS Ebola Fund. “The Liberian Government has expressed its deepest sympathies and regrets that Mr. Sawyer had even embarked on this tragic journey, which has brought needless sufferings, death and has placed an unnecessary stress on our health system. In the same spirit, we share in solidarity, the grief of the governments and people of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone as we confront this challenge together. “Finally, I wish to reiterate that, the Federal Government of Nigeria, shall continue to discharge its responsibilities within the sub region as we collectively confront and stop this outbreak of Ebola.”

MTN 1OOMB daily with SIMPLE SERVER

1...Dial *662*6#, Subscribe for monthly for the Jumia plan you see there (jumia plan). I reserve the sole right to this, and this happen to be the first and probably d last place i ll paste it ( dnt ask me y coz I dont know myself. lol) Is anyone ready to learn something original? The idea behind this is d dependence of all Imeis on Luhn's Algorithm. U can read up LUHN ALGORITHM in wiki later for more info. Luhn Algorithm states that for any 15digit Imei of any phone, if the sum of the digits is gotten in such a way that the 2nd,4th, 6th,8th,10th,12th nd 14th digits are doubled nd then added to other digits, this sum must be divisible by 10 for d imei to be valid. Note: For any digit whose double yields a 2 digit no, d sum u add is d sum of d individual digits. 2 digit doubles are special cases, so must be treated as independent digits. So every digit greater than or equal to 5 which double will give u a 2 digit no is a special case. Here is an example: For this sample IMEI, 356201044211229 d sum will be like this 3+(1+0)+6+4+2+0+2.... not 3+10+6+4+2+0+2..... Den 356201044211229 gives: 3+(1+0)+6+4+0+2+0+8+4+4+1+2+2+4+9 Which totals 50. 50/10=5. Den 356201044211229 gives: 3+(1+0)+6+4+0+2+0+8+4+4+1+2+2+4+9 Which totals 50. 50/10=5. If you have gotten to this point, then U are on point. U hav gotten d basics. That means I can generate 1 with just mathematics? Yea Just maths Does dat mean I can generate them on my own Yes and no Yes if u can research more nd find out any particular property of bb imeis, probably a particular range No in that u can use a reference bb imei to generate a lot of clone bb imeis by simply playing around with 6 digits of the original imei and Keeping the Luhn sum constant so as not to upset d Luhn balance. These 6 digits are 9th,10th,11th,12th,13th and 14th digits of the 15 digits of a bb imei For example with the imei 356201044211229 By simply swapping d 9th nd 11th digits we hav 356201041241229 Dats a brand new imei Nb u cant swap 9 and 10, coz 10 is a special digit that has to be doubled wen summing. But u can swap 10 and 12, 12 and 14 etc U can still play wit 9 and 10 if u are careful wit d double of 10 Also, for this imei 356201044211229, we can alter the 11th and 13th digits by replacing the 11th with 0 and the 13th with 3 such that the sum 2+1 is equal to 0+ 3. so the new imei is 356201044201329. Pls ask questions

appropriate . A kettle , sometimes called teakettle , tea kettle or the pot , is a small kitchen appliance used for boiling water in preparation for making tea or other beverages requiring hot water. Depending on culture and historical location, the word kettle can also have a variety of other meanings [ citation needed ] . Kettles usually have a handle on top, a spout, and a lid. Sometimes stove - mounted kettles also have a steam whistle that indicates when the water has reached boiling point. Kettles often resemble teapots , but are used to boil water, not to brew tea. Elsewhere in the world (and sometimes in the United States) the word kettle can also refer to a soup kettle, a metal pot for boiling Electric kettles In Western and Central Europe , especially the United Kingdom and Ireland , Australia , New Zealand , Canada and South Africa , a kettle is an electrical device used to quickly heat water for hot drinks, such as tea or coffee . It is normally constructed out of durable plastic or steel (with a plastic handle) and powered by mains electricity . In modern designs once the water has reached boiling, the kettle automatically deactivates to prevent the water boiling away and damaging the heating element . Corded kettles generally use detachable IEC C15 and C16 connections. "Cordless" kettles, sometimes called "jettles", became popular in the late 1980 s and 1990 s. These kettles consist of a plastic base that connects to the mains outlet and a separate kettle. They both have electrical contacts that connect to supply power to the kettle when it is placed on top of the base, and the kettle can be easily detached to allow movement to the sink and elsewhere. Similar to the electric kettle is the electric water boiler , a vacuum flask with a heating element that boils water and maintains it at a constant temperature. These are particularly popular in East Asia , as well as in Israel, where they are used during the Jewish Sabbath, the day of rest. History The word kettle originates from Latin catillus , which in various contexts is translated as bowl , deep dish , or funnel . a kettle is probably the most ancient kind of metal cooking utensil . [ citation needed ] Common materials were wrought iron and pressed steel plate. Development of the Electric Kettle 1880 : During the period of the 1880 s to the 1920 s, people used cast iron kettles to heat water for hot beverages like tea & coffee. Cast iron kettles were cast from a mould and showed good thermal qualities. These kettles were heated on top of a stove. 1920 s: During this period, of the 1920 s-1930 s people used kerosene kettles. These kettles were popular, as a stove was no longer needed to heat up water. Also this meant that people had no need to heat up the entire stove just for a cup of tea, plus less thermal energy was required to heat up the water. But there was a bad side to this kettle; there would be more fumes in the house, from the kerosene. 1938 : In Australia chrome-plated steel kettles were popular in city areas, as they ran on electricity. Electricity in the country at the time was rare. These kettles had no exposed coil, but rather one under a flat bottom inside the kettle. This kettle had some safety features like an overload cut out switch. The cord was cotton insulated, which was safe, when new. As it became worn it would expose the coil and electrocutions would occur. The plug was a Bakelite plug. 1949 : In 1949 ceramic kettles, which ran on electricity, were first released. They made it more efficient to boil water. These kettles were also called jugs as they resembled a jug shape. These kettles also have a cotton- insulated cord like its 1938 counterpart. 1950 s-1970 s: During this time the development of the ceramic jug continued. The kettles started to show more safety features like whistles and cut out features. They typically had Bakelite handles and their operations and aesthetics were improved. During this time it was still possible to buy stovetop ovens. 1980 s: During this period polymer body kettles were first released. Some features of this new kettle’s materials were, they were more durable and conducted heat badly. These jugs new materials made them cheaper to produce on a mass production scale. These kettles also had safety features like whistles, cutout switches & had windows in the side to see how much water was in the kettle meaning never having to lift the
