If you've been following my blog and line since the beginning, you probably understand my love for brilliant, unique crystals paired and with mod chains. I find that pairing my chains with the perfect sparkly stones make my designs effortless and so easy for anyone and to wear! Its so fun to pile on and layer any of the pieces to create your own unique and pretty, yet edgy look!

I love these Balms so far... but haven't tried the glosses yet.

I've been wanting to try the SKII line but because it is so pricey I waited as long as I could until I recently caved... I have been using a line from Face Shop (Purple Bottles) and was surprised how much I liked it. I really did notice a good change in my skin, mostly its radiance (I have been using it in conjunction with my ROC day and night face cream). The only reason Im giving the expensive SKII line a try is because too many of my friends swear by it and I found a pretty great deal at a mall in K Town so I took the plunge... 10 free SKII masks with the purchase!

I am currently very happy with the overall quality of my skin but I suppose it can always be better! I hope the SKII line truly wows me!

Do you use SKII? What is/ was your experience with it? If you use the line, do you like the products I chose? Do you recommend any other products from the line?

Lately I have been completely confused and caught off guard by the weather in LA. Cold, wet mornings and hot, muggy afternoons. Im still mixing my fall and winter with my spring and summer pieces so not to either freeze or die of heat. I love my new Helmut Lang sweater I found for a great price, though this is the first time Ive worn it. I may have gotten it a bit too big... But layered with a jacket, it's hard to tell. I recently deconstructed my Zara utility jacket from last year by removing all the bling that was sewn on the chest pocket flap. Sometimes all the little gems and sequins seemed a bit too overwhelming. I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far!

New iridescent cocktail glasses and a pink ombre decanter I found at a flea market today.
Im always looking for unique, vintage pieces to refresh my bar cart!

Im just so, so happy. On Thursday night my boyfriend quietly proposed to me in a romantic garden setting restaurant with chandeliers and flickering twinkle lights surrounding us. Its all so exciting, especially because he's such a genuinely nice and caring person who is very patient and relaxed. Im not usually the mushy type (well maybe when it comes to Bao hehe) but I just feel so blessed to have found him.

I wasn't completely sure if I should share so quickly, but when I posted the news on Instagram I was overwhelmed by the well wishes and sweet comments everyone posted. Its so funny because even though I haven't met so many of you I feel as if we're best friends.

Its important to me to constantly feel inspired and excited. On days that Im not in the workspace making jewelry to fill orders or designing new pieces, I like to work from home. Oftentimes Im inspired by my loft and the things around me. Its easy and sometimes too tempting to throw on a comfy track suit and work at my desk all day, but I find that getting dressed and setting up my work for the day somewhere else in my loft makes me work more efficiently. I love to clear my dining room table and neatly spread out all the work that needs to be done, or work from my den area on my comfy couch. I light candles, turn on a playlist, open the windows and almost aways have an iced coffee.

Many of us don't have the luxury of working from home, and at one point in my life I worked in the corporate world. I always found new ways to keep that excitement and freshness I love so much. Whether it was wearing new accessories, bringing in a flower for my desk, using pretty stationary, reorganizing, or changing the color template on my computer monitor....

Its the little things!

HI Everyone! I wanted to let you know about an event tomorrow evening at Marciano in The Grove, in Los Angeles. I played dress up at the store and left with two outfits , not sure which one I'll be wearing to the party tomorrow, but I will definitely be wearing one of the bandage skirts... you're probably aware of my obsession with them, and these are perfect!

CALIFORNIA COOL

I love these turban style skirts by Helmut Lang. They're supposed to be super versatile, though, in the past, I have only worn mine to a semi formal event with a blazer. I've seen the designer pair the skirt with a chunky asymmetrical sweater similar to the one I am wearing but the price point was a bit hefty for a piece I wasn't sure I would reach for often enough. Recently I found this much more reasonable alternative.

Its getting to the point where I need to stop wearing this combination...

I love the messy sophistication of it and did i mention how incredibly comfy it is?

DESIGN SPACE {peek}

A few moths ago I mentioned that I moved my office/ design space out of my loft and into a very small space a few blocks away. Living in a big open loft with hardly any walls and working out of the same space was just becoming a bit uncomfortable.

The new space is tiny (about 250 sqft), but I really didn't need anything bigger, its perfectly cozy!

I love old buildings so when I found this space I jumped on it. Its literally a square room with two naked windows but Im slowly making it HRH perfect!

Its taken a while to get the space to even this state... but I thought it would be fun to share the "progress". I love DIY's so I have tried to take a lot of the projects on myself... as you will see below, hence the slow progress.

I found a local neon sign shop and had this simple "HRH" neon sign made.

I needed a special/ large size bulletin board to be hung directly above where it's placed, but the only boards I could find were either plain cork or outrageously expensive. I bought a large brown cork board and after several trips to Home Depot, I was able to make this... with help from Debbie too, Thanks girl!

I bought unfinished crown molding to fit the cork board, built a frame around it and painted it (Sometimes I think I was a carpenter in a different life). There were lots of steps in between, like puttying the corners sanding, repainting, adding the black trim etc... But I ended up with a near perfect sized board with a beautiful frame!

SHOE CURIO

A little dream of mine recently came true.

I have been looking for an antique curio cabinet for what seems like forever; to store and display my shoe collection. Because Im pretty particular, It's taken a while, years of hunting through flea markets, antique shops and refining Craig's list searches until there aren't any more possible word combinations for antique curio cabinets (lol)...

Over the weekend in a small antique shop, in an unexpected area, I found this antique Chinoiserie curio cabinet.

Its perfect!

Im so in love.

This is such an easy project for those of you who love your shoe or handbag collections! Curio cabinets aren't just for nicknacks anymore and are pretty easy to find, or you may already have which you aren't using to its full potential!

...

Though my shoes are perfectly arranged, Im still trying to decide how to arrange and decorate the top of the cabinet. Im thinking I may hang the large antique cherry blossom paining, centered above it for height and leave a few shoe boxes and a hand bag on top?

I love finding non fussy looks that are comfy yet still look put together. Sometimes I feel like I have walked a marathon by the end of the day so a non fuss outfit is really important. I tend to lean towards pieces I can incorporate in my wardrobe that can easily take me from the workspace to running errands, appointments and casual dinners with friends. Adding fun elements like a totally stacked, sparkling arm party or these new amazing flats always adds the perfect amount of flash to my looks!

It seems like I can't wear this jacket enough. Its definitely my favorite piece; I can't help that so versatile and wearable!

I loved NYC but am so happy to be home, you really cannot beat Southern California's sunny weather!

In honor of Valentine's Day I thought it would be fun to style and share this perfect pink, Vintage blazer by Christian Dior. You know I love vintage, so when I was invited to visit the Pink Clouds showroom while I was in NYC I couldn't have been more excited. I had so much fun playing with the gorgeous one of a kind pieces!

NYFW HIGHLIGHTS #1

Im a California girl so when I was caught in the blizzard, I was far more unprepared than I thought I would be. I had some fabulous outfits planned and even though they were cold weather cautious, they were not blizzard cautious.

I love fashion shows. I mean what girl doesn't?

But, I especially love when the collection is wearable and im able to take away real ideas and inspiration for everyday looks.

Candela's mix of glam and super casual pieces just worked! Im always looking for new ways to wear my sequins and beaded All Saints skirts. Candela styled hers with a grey fringed sweatshirt. I loved it. If I was able to pull away one trend I spotted most during Fashion Week, its simple beanies. I love the little beaded headbands she added to hers. Adorable and so easy for everyone to recreate!

On a quick last minute decision, I decided to book my flight to NYC for NYFW!

I had so much fun the last time I invited, so when my calendar started to fill up with a week of invitations to shows and socials, I thought how could I not go!?

Im so excited to spend a week in another fabulous city!

This weekend I also released three new designs!

The Queen of Hearts and The Strawberry Candy and Raspberry Gumdrop Bracelets!

They seemed to be a hit and I will be restocking soon!

I'll be super busy making your orders before I leave for NYC on Wednesday :)

LEATHER + LACE

I love the idea of the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers but wasn't sure I could really pull them off. I was afraid they would shorten my legs and make them appear stumpy. I looked around my area for boutiques who carried them, but after a couple weeks of being told they were sold out/ they have a waiting list, I became discouraged. I was also nervous about investing in a pair to only have them end up unworn and sitting in my closet. I don't by any means support knock off designer goods, but when I came across these at Target, I decided to pick them up so that I could play with them to see whether or not getting on a wait list and investing in such a trendy pair of shoes was worth it.

I was a bit ashamed to wear them out at fist (lol), but I really love them!

As soon as Im able to find the black Isabel Marant wedge sneakers in my size, Im in!

This is outfit is a typical variation of my everyday outfit.

A relaxed, good quality blazer, my favorite tee which I alternate between a black, grey and white option, non fussy pants and shoes that have some unique character, but are comfy enough to walk to and from work in.

I just love the neon ombre effect of my new green shades.

Because I don't typically wear bright colors and patterns, they way I have fun adding interest to my looks is through accessories and small details in my clothing.

AROUND THE LOFT

I've always wanted two Louis Ghost Chairs to compliment the chinoiserie inspired faux bamboo chairs I redid, but I always looked for another style because I already have one I use at my desk. Fast forward a couple years, I still hadn't found another chair I loved more, so last week I took the plunge. They're perfect. Im glad I did. Next is to replace my Ikea wannabe Saarinen table with one that has a marble top.

But that wont be for a while...

(p.s. Last week the bottom glass shelf of my bar cart cracked, so until i get around to having another one cut for it, the bottles will sit on the floor...yuck)
