			<title>Vodafone HTC HD2 to launch tomorrow</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/dztr3P_o4Xc/index.php</link>
<description>If you've been waiting to get you greasy fingers all over the HTC HD2's 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen, tomorrow might just be your day. Vodafone UK will be selling the new HTC HD2 starting tomorrow. The new handset will be running on Windows Mobile 6.5 and should be available for FREE on a new contract. The whole FREE things is purely my own speculation based on Vodafone's current lineup of FREE handsets (the $800+ SONY Ericsson SATIO is free so I don't see any reason why the HD2 wouldn't be). The HTC HD2 is also running Sense for Windows Mobile. It's really just the latest version of TouchFLO 3D with graphics from Sense, HTC Peep for Twitter, and a few other enhancements like animated wallpapers. Anyways, the HTC HD2 is probably the most amazing Windows Mobile phone ever to be released so you'd be crazy to pass it up.

<title>T-mobile G1 tweaked to run Google Maps Navigation</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/ztYNc396v4Y/index.php</link>
<description>If you thought you needed a new Android 2.0 handset to get your Google Maps Navigation on, think again. The hard working folks at xda-developers have been able to tweak a few settings on the T-Mobile G1 to get the turn-by-turn directions feature working. Surprisingly, the Google Maps apk file was pulled from the Motorola Milestone which has been reported not to have Google Maps Navigation. Engadget has a few snap shots of the app in action, but if you want to know how to get it running on your rooted Android phone, head on over to xda-developers for all the details.

<description>Many of us are still waiting out turn to play with HTC's new HD2, but that has not stopped some from taking their experience with the HTC HD2 to a whole new level. We all have small longing inside of us to see what makes things tick, so we present to you a full gallery of what makes up the new HD2. Xda-developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=582652) has posted up over 20 images of the innards of HTC's newest handset so that you don't have to break out your tool kit when you get your hands on one.

<title>Sprint's HTC Hero gets in on the root action</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/4KwZKfG_pvI/index.php</link>
<description>If you've been waiting for root access for the Sprint HTC Hero, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. Xda-develoeprs has come through once again. Just like the Dream, Magic and GSM Hero, the CDMA Hero now can be hacked away at. Developers can now start to create cool hacks and custom ROMs for the CDMA Hero so it might be a while until root access on the CDMA Hero might be worth your time. Don't forget, rooting your phone will most likely void your warranty and then there's always that chance that your precious little toy might die from unknown causes. Don't come crying to us if things turn ugly.

<title>HTC Imagio and DROID Eris banish the iPhone to the island of misfit toys</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/D-1YKUwnLN4/index.php</link>
<description>It&amp;rsquo;s no secret that Verizon has been picking on At t and the iPhone lately. First they featured the iDon&amp;rsquo;t commercials which pointed out everything that the iphone couldn&amp;rsquo;t do and then they started with the &amp;ldquo;there&amp;rsquo;s a map for that&amp;rdquo; which compared the Verizon 3Gcoverage map to that of At t. With the holiday season ramping up, Verizon is putting out three new commercials that feature the iPhone and At t&amp;rsquo;s poor 3G coverage. Fortunately for HTC, Verizon has chosen to feature the Imagio and the new DROID Eris while banishing the iPhone to the island of misfit toys. If At t was mad about the commercials a few weeks ago, I&amp;rsquo;m sure they are not going to like these new ones.
Check out the commercial after the break.

<title>Verizon shows off the new HTC DROID Eris</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/z3BTRvA7K8k/index.php</link>
<description>I'm still working on a blog post for the new HTC DROID Eris, but I'm sure you guys will enjoy Verizon's short walkthrough of the new handset. They do a pretty good job of showing off the different capabilities that HTC has included into Sense and also give you a can customize the handset to make it your own. I've been to Verizon to play with the new Eris today and would highly recommend you do the same. It's not a flash as the new Motorola DROID, but the Eris is definitely the Android deal you can get since they are selling it for $99.99 after mail in rebate.

<title>HTC Droid Eris show up in a few YouTube clips </title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/1_16mCo8Rqo/index.php</link>
<description>Though the HTC Droid Eris was just announced, it looks like a few of our favorite cell phone blogs got a chance to play with the new Android handset earlier this week. Three new short videos from PhoneDog, MobileBurn, and IntoMobile give a quite tour of the new handset, showing off the hardware and HTC Sense. The general consensus is that the Droid Eris is very similar to the HTC Hero, but the Sense UI does have a few new tweaks and works with no lag.

<title>HTC introduces the DROID ERIS for Verizon Wireless</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/vy_TPD-ypw4/index.php</link>
<description>This morning, HTC has finally unveiled the new DROID ERIS which will launch on the Verizon network tomorrow (November 6th) for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. If you&amp;rsquo;ve used an HTC Hero before, the DROID ERIS will feel very familiar to you. The only real differences between the original Hero and the new ERIS are the CDMA chipset and the external shell of the phone. The DROID ERIS will ship with Android 1.5 and features a 3.2&amp;rdquo; capacitive touch screen, 5.0MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, all your favorite Google apps, and Flash support in the internet browser.
Even though Motorola will be launching their new DROID on the same date with all the new goodies from Android 2.0, the ERIS will have a few advantages of its own with HTC&amp;rsquo;s Sense UI. Users will be able to customize up to seven home screen panels with custom widgets and applications that ship exclusively on HTC handsets.
For more details of the new HTC DROID ERIS, check out the press release.

<title>Retail ready HTC Droid Eris gets unboxed</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/bwty71EL7sU/index.php</link>
<description>With less than two days until it's launch, the first unboxing of a retail ready HTC Droid Eris has made its way to the internet. The Droid Eris is simply a redesigned HTC Hero, just like we've seen on the Sprint network, but the unboxer notes that the Eris is lighter, thinner, and feels better in the hand than the Sprint version. As far as looks go, I'm not digging Verizon's styling of the Eris so much, but the Sprint Hero is no real looker either. Come on HTC, I can more chinned Android phones here in the U.S. Verizon should have the HTC Droid Eris up for sale in retail and online this Friday for only $99.00 with a new two year agreement. The Eris will be the cheapest Android phone in the U.S. market, but Verizon's data plan rates will definitely increase the cost of ownership in the long run compared to Sprint and T-Mobile.
Now all be need is for BillShrink to compare all the Android phones to each other to find out which phone and carrier really offer the best bang for your buck. I want to see Android compared to Android, no more lineups with the iPhone and the Palm Pre. Check out the full sized unboxing images after the jump.

<title>HTC gains more mind share than Motorola on Google Trends</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/9A2k1fDJZSQ/index.php</link>
<description>We all know that HTC and Android are a perfect combination, but I'm not sure that any of us ever expected HTC could capture more mind share than one of the worlds largest wireless communications companies. According to Google Trends, HTC now has a higher search volume index than Motorola. The number really only indicate that more people are searching for HTC on Google than they are for Motorola. HTC's slight advantage over Motorola could fade away soon if Motorola's new Android Droid and Cliq turn into successes. Regardless it's nice to see our little HTC is finally up there playing with the big boys.

<title>HTC HD2 officially coming to the U.S. in early 2010</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/ov8y9MPQ56g/index.php</link>
<description>You know it's going to be a good day when you wake up to see a note from HTC in your inbox. We've suspected for a while that HTC would be bringing the HTC HD2 over to the states, but now HTC and Microsoft have officially make the announcement.
We wanted to give you a heads up that HTC and Microsoft have just confirmed that the much anticipated HTC HD2 will be coming to the U.S. early next year.
If you didn't already know, the HTC HD2 is running on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and features a 4.3 capacitive touch screen, HTC Sense, 5MP camera (with flash), 3.5mm headphone jack, all on top of Windows Mobile 6.5. From what we've seen, T-Mobile could be the first carrier to land the HD2 here in the United States, but we'll have to wait and see how things pan out. I'm really hoping that the HD2 will get just as much love as the Pro2 did, making it on to all four major U.S. carriers.
Full press release after the jump.

			<title>HTC HD2 to launch on T-Mobile UK this month</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/U2rJDqNvQeQ/index.php</link>
<description>The new HTC HD2 is the most exciting new Windows Mobile handset in years, but there's a lot of confusion surrounding it as well. T-Mobile UK has just launched a splash page, announcing that the new HTC HD2 will be available on their network some time this month (speculation indicates that it could be launched on November 11th). But there's something terribly wrong with the page. The first thing I noticed is that the image they put up is of last years HTC HD, not the HD2, the screen size is listed as 3.8 instead of 4.3 , and then there's a dubious reference to the Android Market.
I'm sure the web guys over at T-mobile UK were simply given the wrong information and put the stuff up without really looking at it. It's the internet, mistakes happen. Though I'm sure that a lot of peopel would be interested in a Windows Mobile 6.5 HD2 that could use Android apps

<title>Verizon to launch HTC Droid Eris at 6 AM on Nov 6th</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/o0I_5or4sg4/index.php</link>
<description>I'm a bit surprised that HTC has not revealed any information on the upcoming HTC Droid Eris. Reports are coming in that Verizon will be opening their doors a little early on November 6th (6 AM to be exact) in order to usher in the new era of Droids. The HTC Eris will be one of two Android powered phones (Motorola is also launching the Motorola Droid) that Verizon will be launching on that date. Since the Motorola handset is the phone that Verizon will be actively pushing on consumers, they might simply want to roll out the Droid Eris as quietly as possible. Even though the Motorola handset has Android 2.0 and Google's fancy new Maps Navigation system, the HTC Droid Eris will feature Sense and will be selling for only $99. That's a full $100 less than the Motorola Droid, and by far the cheapest Android powered phone here in the U.S. market.

			<title>Android 2.0 SDK ported over to T-Mobile G1</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/u56UJJWaBlY/index.php</link>
<description>Earlier this week, Google released the new SDK for the new Android 2.0 update. The SDK is not a full build of the updated Android OS, but merely an emulator that developers can use on their computers in order to test out their software in the new environment. Emulator or not, that has not stopped developers on the many Android forums from trying to get the SDK up and running on their Android phones. EmoGamer has posted up a 10 minute walkthrough of the Android 2.0 SDK running on his T-Mobile G1. He admits that the build is quite choppy (not surprising since it was never intended to be installed on an actually phone), EmoGamer does enjoy all the new features that Android 2.0 will offer in the future. YouTube clip after the jump.

<title>HTC banner ads take over HTC Source</title>
			<link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HtcSource/~3/WY1xwHNR31s/index.php</link>
<description>It's been a few days since HTC announced their new global marketing campaign (http://htcsource.com/index.php?option=com_content task=view id=780 Itemid=58). We've all see the two YouTube clips (http://htcsource.com/index.php?option=com_content task=view id=781 Itemid=58) that should be running on your local TV stations before the weekend is out, but other than that, there hasn't been much else to show for it.... or so we thought. About 30 minutes ago, I was checking on one of the blog posts I put up earlier this morning when I saw that HTC has literally take over HTC Source with their new You marketing campaign. From time to time, the ad that rotate through the site might show some HTC products from t-mobile or maybe even a few screen protectors for the latest HTC handset, but nothing directly from HTC. During my conversation with Paul Lin last Friday, he mentioned that web ads would start surfacing half way through the week. HTC has certainly delivered on that promise.
The ads I've seen so far highlight one of the cool features that HTC phones have offered for a while. Simply flip your phone over to silence a phone call rather than fiddling with the volume control. Plain and simple. I&amp;rsquo;m excited to see what other features the highlight throughout the campaign.
