RELIGION ALONE BRINGS NO PEACE

Religion is described as the belief in and worship of a supernatural/superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. Down the history lane, many religions have been at the centre of virtually everything even the running of the affairs of countries.

From the revolutionary discovery by Bacon that it is the sun and not the earth that is at the centre of the universe; nothing has ever been the same. That alone divorced science form religion . The battle against the dominance of religious authority over science and vice versa ever since was not the only battle that there was. The main battle was the battle of supremacy between one religion and another and even worse, the battler of domination and control between factions under the same religion.

In the recent days religious men do not only kill their members but even those honestly in need of help or protection. Religion kill people by grooming men and women who are ready to kill (of course in the so called "name of God"). I do not want to talk about the brainwashing by some preachers of every religion. Every day and night, people of religion kill others, including innocent children in the name of purification of the unbelievers or to "please God". It doesn't matter if God wants it or not.

The Question is, do we need religion to have peace?

Absolutely not! We do not need religion to have peace and to love. We do, however, need God to have peace. Yes. Even though the words of Friedrich Nietzsche that modernism and rationalism have killed God in the hearts of modern men makes more now than when it was first said, the truth is that God is the conscience of the society.

What actually do I mean?

What I am saying is that this is the time to move every religion out of the way and bring God forward instead. I mean it is time to replace religion with love and sharing because religion offers only division and institutionalization of these divisions. On the contrary, Love and sharing make God real among humans even among those who would rather not believe in anything.

Come to think of it, every religious practice and teaching is a springboard of the religious institution that teaches it. The trick in this is, every religious teaching has elements of self-preservation hidden under its faith propagation.

On the contrary, love and sharing are exclusively independent of any institution. Not religion, not, sports, not politics and not science. They are more universal and God is universality per excellence. Simply put, religion limits whereas love and sharing do not. I do not mean to say that religion is wrong. NO!! I mean that religion separates us more than it unites us and as such lacks the condtio sine qua non for peace.

A typical example is this, The Muslims believe that only the believers in the Prophet Mohammed will go to paradise and Christians believe that only the believes in Christ will go to heaven and the result is division. However, both religions believe that it is godly to Love and to share.

FINALLY

The bottom line is that, Religion gives not peace but God does. Be that as it may, it is time for believers to live above just the dictates of their religious faith and do what pleases God instead. Go about and Love and Share because these are the only factors that will bring peace and unity to the world. Don't forget that the religious institutions are also part of believing in God as long as we are not thought to harm others in anyway.

WHEN YOU MUST LET GO

There are times in life when you sincerely believe that you must pay in and let go. Yes; That you must take action, that you must save yourself, that you must change the direction of your destiny or those of your loved ones.

There are times when you are wholesomely convinced that the only way to make that needed difference in the life of your loved ones is to let go. There are times when this is absolutely true. Yet, it takes a lot of strength to get to that point especially when you strongly believe that there is more left to be fought for.

Halo! What if there is nothing left to fight for after all? What if it has been all an illusion from get go? What if it has been a dream that you thought you have woken from long, long ago? I mean, what if it never existed in the first place? There are what ifs and what ifs and what ifs, yet, it all borders down on; are you ready to take that leap of faith. It is a leap of faith because you are only in control of your jumping but not in the least in control of your landing. But, because it is the road that you MUST take, you must have to take that leap anyway.

You Know, most times I sit and ponder why We get depressed. I have read bunch and bunch of stuffs from 'Those Who Know Book' about the causes of depression but i have never really found out what in particular they are talking about. Well, I have my own idea why. Yes, We get depressed because we are suck in our imaginations, we are stuck in the middle of no way with no signs for help.

I do not have a solution to this problem but I have a suggestion. When you are depressed, it is time to let go. When you are depressed, it is time to free your imaginations. When you are depressed, it is time to fill your life with new stuffs. It is time to change the cause of your journey.
It is time to reach out and find where you deviated and let go. Yes, and you must Let go and move faster. Without freeing your imagination, without letting go, how can you take in things that will make you lighten up again? Hard choice but the only good one.

I am not an authority in this case, but come-on! do I need to be an authority to know that I should eat when I am hungry and there is food available? You don't need to be an authority to know that it is time for you to go home after work do you? I am sure that you do not need to be an authority to know that you have come to a time that you must take that turn.

I mean you Must learn to let go because sometimes, even what you are holding so tight may not belong to you after all.

WHEN TO LET GO

What a difficult time and space. When must we let go? You must let go before the odds turn against you. You must let go when the only way things around feel is like an empty dream. You must let go when the only thing you see is darkness and a little room that keeps narrowing towards you. You must let go when you feel suffocated. You must let go when holding on isn't doing you any good at all.
Even if there is no reason at all before you, you must know that there is a time WHEN YOU MUST LET GO.

YOU ARE A JUDGE IN YOUR CASE THIS YEAR

What is you are to set your re-seat exam this year, would you let yourself fail again?

what if you are to be your own boss, would you let your company go broke?

What if you are in the heart of the woman you love, would you screw the relationship?

what if you are to restart your business this year, would you let it crash one more time?

What if you were jailed wrongfully, would you find yourself guilty on the same situation if you were the judge?

What if your only beloved child is dying, would you watch him or her die because you are saving money for a vacation?

What if this New year is a direct repetition of the last one, would you let yourself repeat your previous mistakes?

what if your answers are all no, are you ready to take your destiny into your hands this year and get
the universal wealth on your side or would you wait again until it is the 11th hour?

Now is the time to start and change the year. Good a thing, everyone is starting the same day and at the same time. Do not concentrate on other peoples' speed just be consistent on yours.

One more thing, do not forget to seek other alternatives because if you did not get it right in 2014, chance is that your method isn't spot-on.

Many things come with their own levels of ambiguity but, one thing I am sure of is that one day the accusers will be accused

One day those who think that they are better will see that they are as good as others or even worse

One day those who attack will be under attack and One day people will come from the east and the west and all the corners of the earth to profess one religion – religion of love

One day those who are oppressed will learn to stand up for their rights and not beg for it. I am sure, Very-very sure, that one day the sons of the rich will dine and wine with the sons of the poor with no one looking down on the other

One day those who kill for material things will die for material things One day and yes, one good day, people who struggle to be loved will see people struggling to love them. One day we shall all be free, the free and the slaves alike

One day and one beautiful day, we shall realize that what keep us together is one love and one heart no matter what religion or political view we may have One day,

Yes one day, we shall profess one faith a world that has one red blood flowing through everyone, white and black alike I don’t know for sure when that day will be for everyone else but for me, that day begins today and moves on every day of my life

Just Another Year

In just three days, the year 2014 will have its last say in our life. What is left of it will be committed to history. Except if there is an unexpected miracle, our year has been long defined even before this week but who says last miracle never exists? I do not know how the year has been for you but for me, it has been full of symbolic re-awakening events. Most of them left me broken where as an absolute majority of them made me to feel that after all, it is only a dead fish that follows the flow all the time. However the year has been for you, the most important factor is that if you are alive till the next four days, you have been offered an undeserved second chance to make good your short comings or to better your best. If you Seize this opportunity, a milestone has been reached. Otherwise, this time next year will see you at exactly the same spot, that is if you do not retrogress. Three days ago, I had a heated faith-based discussion with two Nigerians and it all bothers on trying to integrate our "City of God" instinct with the "City of the world" demands. My point is, most of the so called Christians are yet to understand that being a born again or child of God is not being a Christian and Being a Christian is nothing but being a Christian- thus Living a lifestyle in the mode of Christ Himself. SO, if we live a different life style, then our whole identity has become a "contradictio in terminus" We have one chance for peace. Just one chance This fighting and warring does no one any good and they are lucky if it does them no bad. Is it not yet time to bring God alive in every human being whether believers or unbelievers and stop this "God is Great" that seems to motivate people to take the life of others in the name of a God whose major attribute is Goodness par excellence? Of course, I am only one voice and an insignificant one for that matter but this insignificant man foresees a more bloody 2015 if we do not change our general conciousness. We must have to live with the fact that no man or woman is better than the other. We are all humans and we are all under the same universal principle of goodness. If we chose to embrace the way of peace, love and sharing then 2015 will be the best year of our life and the time to make that choice is now because later will be too late. I AM AN IMMIGRANT

That is the Title of the book I am writing at the moment.

Haven lived outside my mother land for almost eight years, I have experiences that only time can tell. However, the story i have at this time is not my story. It is our story. Our story, in that it is about as many of us as are immigrants either by choice or coercion. I am not writing my autobiography yet that is why i want to share many people's life experience.

However, for the sake of simplicity, I intend to build all my collection of stories into a character. He is ordinarily a journeyman that left Nigeria in 2006. He is 180 cm tall, handsome and well built. He is a kind that every woman will imagine if asked to picture an ideal African lover. He is a charmer in words, life style and action. Above all, he is a ladies man when he wants to be and a perfect idiot when he loses his track. His life has been a symbol of survival yet his image is admired by many who encounter him.

With a penchant of smartness and ability to hide his numerous failures, he could pass for the most actualized man among fellow immigrants.

Apart from all about appearance and logic. though, he set a goal for himself. He wants to go back someday to start and run his own business and he cares less how long it will take him to achieve this goal.

If you have a personal story that you will like to be part of this book, (story about yourself or someone you know) I will gladly incorporate it.

One last thing, I want to write I AM AN IMMIGRANT to be like a mirror of every immigrant i have encountered in Sweden and in all 6 countries i have visited but more so, I want to accept as many interesting life stories as possible .

May God (or whatever you believe in) make the best in you to flourish. Amen

CHINUA ACHEBE IS DEAD BUT HE LIVES ON

Just at the wee hours of the night, a lady wrote on his facebook page that Chinua Achebe, the Iroko of Africa is in the hospital, critically ill. Ordinarily, I would have got panicky or maybe dismayed but I rather gave a little smile. The smile was not of triumph but of happiness that he never lost himself even when he knew that he had little time left.

Two days after the inscription on the facebook page, a friend wrote to me that the Iroko of igbo land has fallen and that ‘he will be remembered’. Right away, I countered him saying thus ‘for others, they will be remembered but for him (Achebe Chinua), he will never be forgotten’.

He saw what others either refused to see or to talk about.

His systematically display; of the destruction caused by colonialism, of the gradual falling apart of every fabric of our corporate existence as a nation, of the over-ambitiousness caused by this loss of values and the leaders Machiavellian principle of leadership, proves beyond every reasonable doubt that things were falling apart in geometrical progression, whereas those who were told could neither listen nor act.

Insisting that the problem with Nigeria is that of ‘leadership and enthronement of mediocrity, he did not hide his disgust towards the crown of recognition offered him by the federal Government, who he believes (like every god willed Nigerian) is corrupt to the teeth.

What more can a man do to be ever in the memory of good people than telling a story of a country that once existed, with every passion and as he perceived it, even with the conviction that he will subject himself to a limitless criticism, especially, ethnically motivated?

As controversial as he may be seen, he is a great man whose conscience could not be compromised by any tactical dangling of fish on the trap even when it became obvious that he may not be hurt if he took a bite.

He is a man of Great honor with capital G. He left example for those who claim to fight corruption in the day light while embracing it under the covers of the dark night and to the majority of those who are in the corridors of power who are mere sycophants. He showed that a man can still make his marks in the society without singing the praises of a weak and insensitive government.

Maybe his death may open up a good way for many to rise and fill the gap he created or maybe, the evil men in the land will find a way to discredit him and so wipe his name from history.

Whatever happens, I am sure of one thing. Chinua Achebe will never be forgotten.

FIND YOUR WAY BACK

My people have a proverb that goes like thus:

‘if you do not know where the rain started falling on you, you may not know where it stopped

The success of every business adventure results from two poles: reference to already set targets and directed effort towards reaching these targets or new ones if the already set ones are not met.

Life is that way.

At some points in our lives, we must lose our bearing; either as a result of youthful inconsistencies or as a result of our lack of good mentors. Only those who are able to trace their way back have a greater chance of making it to the target on time.Of course, I mean on time because you may still make it to your target after you have circled your way round the world but by then, your target may have been overtaken by time or it has had its potentials diminished by the force of change.

Severally, we hear people say: ‘let us go back to the drawing board’. It means let us go back and see where our proposed straight line started its bend. Let us retrace our problem to its point of departure. Let us find from where it started raining on us. Most of the times, (though not always) the answers to our problems are buried in that point our line started to take a bend.

I know that some people are infallible but I am not, and I believe that many people like me are not infallible. To those people who retain in them the tendency to fail, this is the time for us to have a great introspection, self-examination and self-awareness to decipher where the dreams we built started falling apart. Good a thing, it is not all the time that we need to rebuild, we may well start all over. A friend of mine told his father that ‘it is not yet late to be a stone carver’. It is not yet late to start all over. You may be surprised how easy it is to get to the top when you restart to rebuild the dream.

I must warn you though, that, the most worrisome part of achieving a target is not building a future but waiting there while the future we build turn into past under our watch.

So folks LET US FIND OUR WAY BACK; MAYBE IT CAN LEAD US TO THE TOP ONCE MORE.

ISN'T GOD STILL ALIVE.

Bitter as it may sound Friedrich Nietzsche’s prophesy,

‘“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”’

is becoming troublesomely true in our own time. Of course he was regarded as a mad man but I think we are the mad people because we have refused to see what danger religion and other supposed word-views (science inclusive) have brought forth to humanity. We worship religion and not God and because of this, where as one religion has produced fanatics who were deceived into believing that God will do everything for them, another religion is producing lunatics who were deceived into believing that their killing of ‘innocent’ people glorifies God and another world view rationalizes that God is a mere opium of the people, an escapist entity for the weak mind and very many others.

It is hard to imagine the life of God in between these madness that we perpetrate in His name. We have kill God when a pastor will have 2 to 3 private jets and bend his followers into believing that it is the reward for worshiping God whereas Christ ordered his followers never to have ‘extra tunic’. We have killed God in our heart because we kill and maim God’s Children in the name of Allah whereas Prophet Mohammad teaches that

‘“A true believer is one with whom others feel secure,”.

We kill God when we believe that to believe in Him is a mere refuge of the lazy ones.

To be honest with you, we have killed God in our heart but luckily enough, He lives. God lives in the beauty of the lilies, he lives in the sounds of the birds, he lives in the cries of innocent new born, he lives in the stillness of the ocean, he lives in the heart of men and women who love and are ready to live all their life loving without any strings attached. He is dead in the heart of those who take for themselves what is meant for everyone, those who sit on other people’s way to success, those who trivialize his name for their own gains etc.

We read from many books and the Scriptures that God is love. In view of this, I tell you that we need Love more than we need religion and we need God more than we need religious men unless Religion strictly identifies with love and religious men with God, in thought, words, actions and inaction.

Make your choice today. Kill God more or raise him in your heart and in the heart of others by being a unifying force and not segregationist or any kind of fanatic.

TIME TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT or TO HANG ON?

A friend of mine once wrote that when the people that surround you always make you to compromise, it is either that it is time for you to stamp your personality or time to move on. You know, we always think that the possibility of people to change is really big but the truth is, the possibility of people changing is almost as wide as the possibility of their remaining the same.

Come to think of it, those who change are those who think that there is something in them that has been outgrown by the old world and old realities they have been living in. What about those who think that the world and realities around them is perfect or as it should be, do they also believe that they should have a change? Of course not and that makes it difficult.

I talk about myself now. I have lived in the world where I believed that everything is the way it should be but now I am living in a world that I believe that nothing is ever perfect even the word perfect because there is no guarantee that everyone spells it correctly. Nevertheless, when I look in your direction, it is because there are some significant things about you that I cherish. When I look away from you after looking at you for a long time, it is because I have seen that even though you have a lot of good in you, there is little from you that can bring a progressive change in my life.

Of course, I can just turn away and end the view in focus but I am holding on because sometimes we may be making our decisions too fast and as such have a higher possibility of missing some details.

You can’t imagine how complicated we humans are can you? Maybe or maybe not: Come to think of it, of all things born and living we are the weakest, yet when we are pushed to some limits either to save ourselves or the one (s) we love, we act more powerfully than the most powerful of all creation.

It is this idea that makes me to leave some vulnerability in me when I am in love with someone even when that person seem to think that I am a jerk, coward, idiot or maybe stupid. I can accept being seen this way by someone I love but I still can pull up a surprise she or anyone who knows us will find difficult to believe.

From my perspective, if someone is in love with another, that person has chosen to accept your madness, weakness and strength, but also he or she has decided to tell you the bitter truths about yourself that he or she may not have told you if you were just friends. The idea is to help each other to be better. But…

I think when you come to the point where those you love make you constantly to compromise, not to aspire for perfection, then, induce a radical change. If the change comes by, then you have a future together, if things remain the same, then it is a strong signal to know that another has taken your position or is about to or maybe you worth just a little presently. The best thing to do then is to take another turn before it becomes too late.

You have to realize that when people insist that you change, they really mean that they want you to adjust your life or behavior. They do not really mean that you have to be someone else but to make some personality shift, (without compromising your core identity) for without adjustment no one can live with another and with total personality lose, no one can truly live with another. At least, that is what i think.

Friends, life is a long, Long journey, no matter the amount of preparation you have made for it, you must stop and catch some breath or you will be completely worn out .

YEAR 2013. NEW?

Round the world people celebrate the dawn of a new year and make several New Year resolutions. Sometimes I believe that it is a wonderful thing to do and other times, i see both the celebration and the resolutions as mere formalities. New year means nothing if nothing about our life takes a new shape. My wish for you all , however, is that the best in you will flourish this new year. It is how much I care.

Of course we can comfort ourselves and sky-high expect a perfect year. For those who are men and women of religion, we can believe that God will work better wonders than He worked last year or even expect more miracles. All of these optimism and hopes will disappear into the tin air if we do not change our approach to the things we do. Change for the better always comes from attitude for the better. When you do the things this year the same way you did them last year you will end this year exactly the same way you ended the previous one, ( new year resolution or not and miracle or not) that is, if not worse even worse because, whether we like it or not, there must be a change and God does not contradict his Internal consistency.

I know my mistakes and I know that I alone can correct them. See yourself same way and maybe we can come together to help each other eradicate our shortcomings. Do it alone if you can but never see those less than you as nothing because, by so doing, you show how shallow you are.

If you helped me in any matter last year or years before, I will forever remain grateful to you. If you did not, I will still be grateful because, you gave me the opportunity to take my destiny into my hands. If you expected so very much from me and I gave so very little, please, forgive my weakness, maybe i would have done more if I had the capability. I promise that I will change my attitude this year so that I will change whatever it is I could not get right last year. I will treat you the same way.

This year is a year to pay what I owe (love, material things, spiritual shortcomings etc). If you can pay yours, i encourage you to do so, but if you cannot, don't kill yourself, just convince yourself that you want to pay and fight as much as within your capability to pay. Your creditors may talk ill of you but it takes intentions and action together to make an act morally good or bad.

By the way, This is not my first blog for the year. it is my remindal that I am still alive and my conviction that if you are reading it then you are still alive.

I just called to say I love you all.

I'M ONE YEAR OLDER

May the power of God that lightens the universe today increase the joy and strength of each and everyone who remembers that I was born on this this day sometime in history.

I know that it has not been that simple. Therefore:

If I failed you, it's because I am imperfect not because i am Malicious.
I
f i treated you badly , it is because I lost myself not because you deserve it and i say sorry for that. If i have not been the friend you wanted me to be, it is because i have not really understood what you expect of me apart from what i expect of myself, maybe you can help to explain and not get mad.

If I could not return what you gave me, it is not because i swindled you, it is because my hands are tied. My silence is not meant to make u look like a fool but its a way of telling you that I feel ashamed that I could not keep my part of the bargain.

If you expected me to be perfect and i could not get close, it is not because i intended to let you down, it is because i could not lift myself up that high. maybe i could do with some help.

If I lied to you it is because I was afraid, maybe you could be a little bit approachable next time. However, I take responsibility for it because i should have told you the truth anyways.

Sing with me for a while:

If i am here today it is because I believe that something good will come out of it, not because it's flowing with milk and honey.
If i cal you my friend it is because you have been there indeed and not because you have offered me a whole new life.
This may look like a celebration of chaos but it is a celebration of inner calm; one you can only find after a raging wave.
A new beginning just struck. If you want to go along, just get on board.
Once more, May the universal light illumine you all today and open your eyes to the abundance of God's love and may the mother earth support your foothold as you climb unto the next stage of your being.

WHAT HAVE YOU TO SAY WHEN...?

Waking up
this morning would have been like every other day save the fact that I felt a
special wave of tranquility. The kind you feel when there is a divine presence.
Yet right behind this amazing feeling was a bunch of opposite questions, which
before now would not have taken a second of my time. Can’t you see that time
changes and we either change with time or get caught off our guard.

Here is
exactly what I was thinking when she came up from to me:

In moments
of despair and disappointment, when you find yourself on the down side when you
have done enough to be on the top, what comes to your mind?

What comes
to your mind when the roads seem lonelier and the friends you knew turn into
foes, when everything you have ever known seems empty and illusive, what comes
to your mind?

In moments
when the sunset accidentally catches on your dreams and the dawn of a new day
seems too late, what comes to your mind? What comes to your mind when you are
necessarily distracted anytime you are one step away to your target?

I was
thinking about these when she came up to me and said, ‘in such moments, only
our hope in the heavens and in the love of God can keep us going. Of course bad
things happens, she went on ‘but we have always to learn from them and put our
past behind’.

What else
to say than ‘hakuna matata’, No worries my friend. You have not failed even
when you lose. You fail only when you give up half way. 

As long as
you keep walking, you will see the blue sky. Everything gona be fine, buddy,
she said to me. It was then that I realized that I have been asleep; that is if
actually I am awake now.

BE MY VALENTINE

You can Imagine the feelings I had when she just came up to me and gave me a warm hug with her eyes gazing deep into mine and her breast pressing hard on my bare chest. I was honestly lost in thought and words. All i could do was to abandon myself in her embrace; not just because of the lust it inspires but for the love it carries. It would have needed the heart of Jesus Himself and the strength of Cesar to pull away from such touch of love and lust. What is the need of pulling away when it's what i have dreamed and longed for? Where would hypocrisy take me if the truth is that my dream has come true.

In my amazement, all I could force my dried throat to ask was, 'to what do I owe this beautiful gesture ?

…and she said to me, my love for you will be like the morning rose that will forever beautify your whole days with beautiful aroma, ...and I said to her, have you not heard that though the rose blossoms in the morning, it withers in the evening.

…. and then she said to me, ‘if the rose blossoms in the morning and withers in the evening then I will be the rising sun that lightens your day, ...and I said to her, even the rising sun scorches the skin as the day goes by.

…and then she said to me, I will be your heartbeat that never stops, but I said to her that when overwhelmed by the hardest billows of life I have once gone down on my knees praying to the spirits that my heart should stop and if you are my heartbeat then you will be no more if my prayer is answered.

…and then she said to me, I will be there for you no matter how hopeless, and I said to her, when it becomes hopeless it becomes senseless to stay.

It is wonderful to believe in yourself but it’s amazing to believe in God too. At least, while you take care of the physical things, He takes care of the spiritual things.

It is better to ask for help than act like an incompetent child who is unable to wipe his own ass.

It is right to be cautious in all we do yet; it is also wise to be aware that friends can help sometimes. At least the thought of friends makes us feel that after all we are not alone.

It is wonderful to speak with one voice while in a group, yet it is amazing to speak our mind so that we may avoid the risk of falling into the disaster of ‘anonymous we’.

Every time we say that ‘if this did not happen, I would have been this’, but the truth is that it is never too late to become that which you would have been.

I don’t know what you think about what is happening in the world now but if you ask me, I will simply say that everything is not ok even though it seems so. But why bother with the world you have not seen when the one you have seen is slipping through your fingers.

The reason you have for hating something may differ from my reason for hating the same thing. Why do you try to force me to see it your way when you are not even sure it is the right way?

When we force others to understand us we simply tell them that we lack conviction otherwise why do we have to use force when all we need is positive action.

In fact, there is nothing more to say than to tell everyone to do that which makes your heart beat faster with joy anytime you think about it. Nothing could be more real and more positive than that as long as, by your own feelings, you are not depriving others of the right to feel the same way.

What an amazing woman Whitney is. If you don't know, what ended now started when she was just 11 and what she began now, none of us can imagine. If we loved her, let us rejoice for her life.

Let us rejoice for the life of Whitney Houston. She has played her part and it made a lot more than her happy. No need to mourn the dead since we do not know what they see in the great beyond. At least we are not sure they are not happier than us. Let us just grieve because she will not be there when we celebrate the next Lovers Day because she may have giving us another love music like the one we have here. Don't mind me, it is just one reason to grieve, there are many more.

It is Sunday so let the sun shine on all of us, echoing 'and I will always love you'. Isn't it a better way to say goodbye to an icon whose songs and style influenced a generation?

IT COULD REALLY BE HEARTBREAKING TO KNOW

Is it easy to understand that the person you love so much thinks that you are over-protective? Is it really easy to understand that the person you would take any risk for believes that you are selfish and wicked just because she could not get it her way all the time?

Just like every other morning, I woke up this loving morning and the first thing she could say to me was ‘you think you are better than everyone’. In confusion and complete lost about what would have caused this sign of hatred from my loyal lover and friend I asked, how on earth did I do that and when did you start reading people’s thought? And she replied, ‘you always carry yourself like you are the best of God’s creation while others are nothing. Who the fuck are you to tell me that I am wrong and who the fuck do you think you are’?

But I simply responded thus, ‘I don’t think I am any fuck’. Nevertheless, I am so sure that everyone is wiser than everyone in some measures; forgive me that mine came up this time. Next time, it may be yours. If you can tolerate my wisdom now, I bet it will make it easier for me to tolerate yours when your own time comes.

Forgive my ignorance but do not let your intolerance blind your eyes from the little wisdom I show so that you will find some reasons to forgive me when I am being stupid. Take It easy if I am a fool now, it maybe your turn next time. The same way, take is easy if I am wise now, it maybe your turn next time.

Was it not amazing that I managed to say nice words when what I actually wanted to say was thus: ‘you are simply little minded and scared of being seen as such. You allowed the person you are to be buried by the person others tell you that you are. Why would you not open your eyes and see that you are projecting your subconscious mind to others because you feel inferior not because they are superior’? Actually i answered the way i did because you don't a game right by playing the same wrong card the other played.

Yes it was demoralizing and it was also heartbreaking to know that, after all, you cannot even believe in your loved one; you cannot be sure at least that the love you are giving is being accepted.

But does it mean that I should cry in self-pity then? Hell No! I really don’t have that leisure, at least not at the moment.

WHAT MAKES YOU INNOCENT?

It is very easy to think we are innocent but that is absolutely self-deceiving.

I tell you why.

Have you not for once in your life thought that someone who is condemned to die deserves what he got? if you have once done so, what makes you more innocent than somebody who kills because he believes his victim deserves to die?

Have you not for once in your life persuaded someone to have sex with you even when he or she initially would have loved to keep it for another day? if you have done so, what makes you more innocent than one who all the way forces one to have sex with her because she would not accept his or her initial plea?

Have you not for once in your life thought that somebody's action is irresponsible? if you have have done so, what makes you more innocent than somebody who calls another irresponsible because of how he or she acts?

Have you not for once said what is said to you in confidence to another person even though you did not mention names? If you have done so, what makes you more innocent than a priest who discloses a confessional secret?

Have you not for once looked lustfully on either a man or woman? if you have done so, what make you more innocent than someone who pays to satisfy his lust?

Have you not for once said something stupid about people's religion? If you have done so, what makes you more innocent than those who see religion as lame and irrational?

It is not just about what we do alone. It is also about what we think. None of our actions is absolutely a product of chance. Actions and intentions come together to make one culpable or innocent. Of course that is why one who kills for fun is guilty of murder while one who kills in self-defence is not even though there is a lost of life in both instances.

If you are so innocent then better live our world because the world we live in is not innocent either. The world cannot claim innocent when it has witnessed an uncountable evils without doing anything.

Looks like i have become a moralist here. Wonders shall never end!!!

WHY CAN'T THINGS BE SIMPLY STRAIGHT?

One thing we are sure of is that no matter how much we philosophize or ‘logicise’ , a thing cannot rightfully be and not be at the same time without falling into abysmal self-contradiction. No matter how we paint a sepulcher it cannot be anything better than a cover for the decomposed body.

Simply put there is an inherent problem in almost everything we humans are associated with.

Just look at this:

My problem with religion is not that it does not teach us about extra –natural beings, no! My problem with religion is that it ends up setting people against each other as a result of profession of different faiths. Is it not time we started looking for the Object of Religion by healing our inter-subjectivity?

Is politics better, the problem with politics is the politicians who makes laws for their personal protection while those they claim to rule or lead are forced to be indirect preys. It not time we ask for our right while standing rather than beg for it while kneeling?

The problem with sociology is that it has deviated from studying human beings and how their individual social relevance can add meaning to the life of everyone to studying the concepts about humans which may not have any special relevance to people’s life. Is it not time yet time to learn that life is larger than logic?

The problem with friendship is that friends indeed have totally become defined as friends in need whose relevance remain as long as we have particular needs they are helping us out with. Is it not time to take people as they are irrespective of the help they give us or we give them?

My problem with technology is that it is maximally making our lives simpler yet still maximally proceeds in isolating us from one another.

Where do we go from here?

I thought that I was spared but I realized that my own problem is that no matter how much I say what is going on I still wonder why I i have to struggle extra hard to do what I say. What is this all about?

The answer, they say, is blowing in the wind.

If kids are blessings from God why do most of them turn to pain in the ass to the parents and everyone?

If abuse does not remove use, why are some things abolished by the law?

If truth is self-evident why do we still seek for truth?

If God does not exist why do people talk about Him?

If death is a necessary end why do we dread it?

If hard work is the secret of successes why do many who work hard still monumentally fail?

If being in love is the best feeling in life why does it hurt so much to keep it going?

If I am really asking these questions why I’m I not giving my opinions about them?

NIGERIA NEARING SELF- DESTRUCTION

Since the indecent union called Nigeria came into existence, the most populous of the black nation has witnessed series upon series of brutality from its Muslim citizens against a particular tribe in the nation. Britain the unfortunate grand pa remained silence and has still remained silence because it was by their input that these blood suckers were made to believe that they are born to rule Nigeria and by extension, born to eliminate every other tribe that shows signs of leadership quality.

The Nigerian Muslims have recklessly killed Christians since the 50s and each year the Christians insist on turning the other cheek. In the time past, the killing had reasonable space between one and another but since the past 4 months, the rate of the killing has taken a dimension that is not only outrageous but also absolutely insane and barbaric by people who will always pray to God before saying any single word to another ( In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful). It is scary because if nothing is done now and I mean now, the Nigeria Christians will be dizzy as a result of countless turning of the other cheek.

The most disturbing part of it is that we have a lame government who will be so quick to rush to the affected areas to send his condolence whereas he could not take a simple proactive measure to retain a prisoner in custody until investigation is concluded. Just as they told us a kangaroo story about Yusuf, the erstwhile father of Boko Haram who was captured without a single gun shut injury, who was in chains and his yet to solve mysterious escape attempt the led to his getting shut point blank, another national security disgrace has occurred.

They call him Sokoto and he was the terrorist that masterminded the killing of not less than 40 Christians on the Christmas day. Everyone is shouting outrage that he was let lose by the people who claimed he escaped but I think it is more outrageous that he was captured in a the lounge of a serving governor in the company of a serving Air Force personnel and yet nothing is done. The governor of Borno made a smart move to dissociate himself from this outrageous connection but I don’t think that every Nigerian is foolish to believe such a fairy tale.

Since the serving president has shown that he is as weak as a pregnant woman, is it not time for the Igbos to legitimately defend themselves from this blood suckers who cloth themselves in the cloak of religion. Who can count how many souls that have been destroyed by these blood sucking fanatics since the past 60 days?

Is it not yet time to let those who can defend themselves to do so without intimidation from the military and the police who have shown mountainous sign of incapability? Is it not time to stop turning the other cheek but to stop the next slap instead? Is it not time to counter this violence with every means possible and available? Is it not time to split this indecent union called Nigeria so that everyone will go in peace and the wounded will have time to tend to their wounds? Is it not time to do this amicably? Another civil war is looming.

If Nigeria is not divided now or at least if nothing is not done to stop this madness, what will happen will amount to a complete self-destruction and not even Britain can stop it this time.

A passionate appeal, Please Nigeria Muslims Live and let others live. You do not have monopoly of violence. You are left to kill because one killing cannot pay for another but if you think that you are too powerful to be stopped, you will be thrown down and your fall will be disastrous. I make this general statement because everyone of you all is guilty either by omission or commission. Yes. If you change the mode of your indoctrination, future Muslims will know more love than what we have now. Special apologies, though, to the good Muslims

The one thing I am sure of is that one day the accusers will be accused

One day those who think that they are better will see that they are as good as others

One day those who attack will be under attack

One day people will come from the east and the west and all the corners of the earth to profess one religion – religion of love

One day those who are oppressed will learn to stand up for their right and not beg for it

I am sure. Very-very sure, that one day the sons of the rich will dine and wine with the sons of the poor with no one looking down on the other

One day those who kill for material things will die for material things

One day and yes, one good day, people who struggle to be loved will see people struggling to love them

One day we shall all be free, the free and the slaves alike

What can one say? They kill in the name of religion and ignorantly try to convince their benefactors that they kill for God. They try to convince us about the sacredness and supremacy of their religion yet their attitude world over is a total display of barbarism. It is the same in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Iran and practically all the placeless they share neighborhood with people who have the same God as they do but communicate with Him through different messiah/prophet.

What kind of religion teaches such level of intolerance? What God tells people to kill at all let alone when people are in their worship place The more you try to balance what they profess as their faith and the notion we have of a God who is absolutely merciful, the directly contradictory their headlong race towards self-destruction is made explicit.

The worst part of it is that the governments in power plays every politics possible to remove the religious background of these unguarded mayhem and as such confuse people into believing that politics (rather than religious intolerance) is the problem. What a Shame of a lame management.

Once again I say it; it is either everything about this religion is wrong or everything about some of its influential teachers is wrong. If you ask me, nothing is intrinsically wrong with the religion but a lot is wrong about some of the influential Islamic teachers and more so, some of the followers. Apologies to the good men of Islamic faith who see our difference as empowering and not endangering

IF ONLY YOU COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME

It just started like a mere chance. Slowly it developed some consistency. When it was supposed to take shape, it lost its center of gravity and dissolved into chance again. When all these were going on one single thing remained constant thus-my resolve that I will never give up on you no matter how hopeless and my decision to be there when you grow old.

My mind is made now and it cannot change, at least not so easily. I know that I am not perfect and it does not bother me at all. What bothers me is the fact that you know who I am too and you see all you desire in me but it is hard to take the part I bring because I am different. But I know about one thing, if I am offered the opportunity one more time to choose who to be, I will choose to be the person I am now including my perfections and imperfections because I love the idea of being different and because that is the only way I could love you the way I do now without caring what anyone thinks about it.

Sometimes I really want to believe that I am stupid and ignorant as you may have suggested but if that is what it takes to share eternity or time with you, I will choose it over and over again because it is worth the price. I don’t want to tell you anymore what you mean to me because it limits the meaning. Any other time I say it from now, know that I do it because the force of keeping it inside me becomes next to impossible to handle.

I want you. I know that nothing lasts forever but even if it is one day alone that i have you, it will be a forever for me and i will cherish it like an eternity. I don’t want to lose you to anyone no matter how perfect he may be.

When I am not making you happy, it does not mean that I like to see you sad; it simply means that I am not being cautious when I am with you because I feel free with you. I may not even know that I make you sad and I am sorry I do make you sad anyways. When I tell you how much you mean to me, I do not do so because I need attention, I, on the contrary, do so because I love to let you know how important you are to me. When I crave for your time, I do not do so because I am isolated. I, on the contrary, do so because each single time I spend with you doubles my happiness because I have the privilege to share it with you.

As many times as you are gone from me I go on waiting for you to come back because every single second of those times seem like an eternity in a formless void. Each single moment I yearn to talk with you but could not hear your voice seems like gazing into a long beautiful road that leads to nowhere. It is simply frustrating.

Now you have come to a cross road and you must either choose the right part or wonder far away from your destination. Whichever way you choose, you have me by your side because I promised to be there for you no matter how hopeless. BUT, how so very much I wish you do not chose the wrong part.
