She said she didn’t know how to and started to get embarrassed. So I told her I would help her and talked her through it. It’s pretty amazing what kids can do if given a little encouragement. My curiosity was piqued when my girlfriend and I visited <a href="http://www.bbg.org/" target="_blank"><strong>The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s</strong></a> bonsai exhibit.</p> <p><span>Many of the trees exhibited were kept and pruned for over 50 years by a single person, then donated to the Garden. That really blew my mind.</span></p> <p><span>My favorite, by far, was the Persian Lilac in the photo above.
