A Little Bad News + A Little Good News

Argh. I hate these types of posts. They are just no fun. At least the ending is though! So let’s just get right to it.

Without going into too much detail, my Grandpa’s health has drastically declined recently. My husband and I took our daughter to say “goodbye” this week and it was tough. The coming weeks are going to be difficult and since my heart will be somewhere else, I am going to take a step back from my blog for a while. But that leads me to the good news!

My very talented blogging friends will be sharing their ideas here with you! They’ll be showing off their skills during the time I’m away so I hope you’ll show them lots and lots of love. These girls are so sweet and supportive and didn’t hesitate to help me out. I appreciate them greatly and can’t wait to show you their talent! I know I just recently got back from a blogging break, so I’m happy they are helping me cover this time away. I’m planning to be away for 3-4 weeks, but you’ll still be seeing tons of inspiring posts. And I do have one of my own posts ready for Friday so I can leave on a better note! ;)

I’ll still be popping in on my Facebook page and Instagram occasionally. And will be reading comments. And of course I’ll probably be distracting myself with a little Pinterest therapy here and there. ;)

I can’t wait to introduce you to these girls {if you haven’t “met” them already}! I know you’ll love each and every one of them!

Photo Gift Ideas + Shutterfly

Look at all these cute little goodies I just got! Have you heard of Shutterfly? If not, you are missing out! Not only do they offer photo prints, but they also have gorgeous photo books, home décor, TONS of photo gifts, and more! I was planning to only order two mugs for Mother’s Day gifts, but as you can see, I went a little crazy. So just a warning, this is going to be a long post! ;)I was able to knock out a bunch of gifts using just one photo of my little one. I decided not to go through tons and tons of my pictures, I just picked my favorite and ran with it! Okay, so I didn’t actually run anywhere, but that’s even more awesome. I just sat down with a glass of wine water, uploaded my photo, and started customizing my gifts! It was so quick and easy to do. The hardest part was waiting for my gifts to arrive!

DIY Flower Earrings + Printable

I'm so excited that Spring is finally here! And it inspired me to make some cute little "April showers bring May flowers" printables for these adorable little flower earrings I've been making a bunch of lately. They are so pretty and soooo easy to make! But if you don’t want to make any, just buy some cute flower earrings and print out these little cards to make a quick and easy gift! These would make the perfect last minute Mother’s Day gift too!

I actually made a bunch of these earrings as party favors for our little girl’s second birthday a few months ago. It was flower-themed {I still need to share it! Where did the time go?} so they were perfect! And now I have requests for more. But I didn't put them on cute little cards before, so these are new and improved with free printable cards! I made sure to include blank cards, and a few “Happy Mother’s Day” ones as well. I got you covered! ;)

One Year Blogiversary!

Today is my one year blog anniversary! I can’t believe that my very first post was up at this time last year and that it’s been that long already! I feel like I’m just getting started. I will have to put together something super fun to celebrate!

I have had so much fun and learned so much along the way! It makes me laugh inside when I think about how my blog looked when I first started. It was a hot mess! But it was my hot mess and I loved {and still love} it so. Not only have I enjoyed blogging, but I've also enjoyed learning how to design my own blog. That is something I never thought I'd be able to do when I first started. The sky is the limit!

I've also made some amazing friends {bloggers AND non-bloggers} throughout my first year. And I love you all to pieces! Virtual hugs all around! You all make blogging that much better and I don't know what I would do with out you. Same goes for my quiet readers. I might not get to hear from you, but I know you're there and that makes my heart all warm and fuzzy.

Thanks so much for joining me on this crazy little blogging adventure! I appreciate you so! And let's hope the second year is even better!

Wee Felt Worlds: Book Review

Do you love needle felting? Or do you want to start needle felting? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, I have a treat for you! I shared some adorable needle felting ideas I found around Blogland when I first discovered it a while ago. And I have yet to try it. Sad face. But it’s definitely something I want to learn. So I was thrilled when I received a copy of Wee Felt Worlds: Sweet Little Scenes to Needle Felt to review! Wee Felt Worlds is an adorable book edited by Amanda Carestio from Lark Crafts. It’s full of sweet little scenes to needle felt from many different artists. I’m talking 50+ mini-projects! I’m a sucker for anything miniature so this book makes my heart happy.

Another New Blog Design!

Yahoo! My new blog design is complete! I think. I’ll probably still tweak a few small things here and there, but the big stuff is done! I know I change my design as much as I change my underwear, so I hope you love this one as much as I do! There is a reason for this change, and I hope to tell you all about it next month! I’ll be adding another link up there in my mini-navigation bar very soon. :)

So I’m sure you’ve noticed the biggest change, I have no header! But wait, I really do. It’s just at the top of my sidebar now. You can click on it and it will take you home, just like always. I came across the blog Wonder Forest during a much needed Pinterest break, and was inspired by her unique blog layout. So you can blame her for my “small design change” turning into a much bigger one! :)

The other big change is my sidebar being on the left. It’s completely throwing me off, but I know I just have to get used to it. I’ve spent enough hours on this design, so you’d think I would have adjusted by now, but it’s still so weird to me! Good weird though. I’m seriously loving it.

I can finally get back to blogging a little more now that this is out of the way! It seriously consumes me and I can’t focus on anything else until it’s done. So I’m glad to have that gigantic hairy monkey off my back.

WOW! It feels like it’s been way too long since I’ve posted something for you. So I just wanted to drop in and let you know that I’m still here! :) Sometimes blogging just has to take a backseat when life gets a little busy.

I do have something exciting I’ve been working on and I can’t wait to tell you about it {hopefully sometime next month}! You may also start noticing a few design changes here and there in the coming weeks. Yep. I’m changing things up AGAIN! But I actually have a reason this time. You’ll see! :)

So I promise I’ll be back next week with some fun new stuff! We’re going to start the week off right with a super fun giveaway!

Egg Hunt Treat Bags + Sign

If you’ve been around a while, you know how much I love working with Kirsty of Life-n-Reflection! Not only is she the sweetest, she’s incredibly talented and creates the most adorable printables. This month she sent me her printable Egg Hunt Pennant Banner and {free} Sign. SO CUTE! After my heart finished melting I turned the pennant banner into fun little treat bags. And the printable sign goes with them perfectly!
