David Blaine recently gave a talk at TED, in which he explained how he set the world record by holding his breath underwater on the Oprah Show for 17 minutes.

A couple excerpts:

"I think if something is done by one person, it can be done by others."

"As a magician I try to show things to people that seem impossible. And I think magic, whether I'm holding my breath or shuffling a deck of cards, is pretty simple. It's practice, it's training and experimenting, while pushing through the pain to be the best that I can be. And that's what magic is to me."

Quite excellent. I watched a few of her (user vkgoeswild) videos on YouTube and she had some good ones, but this was my favorite. Sounds to me like she is able to capture all the instruments, and the voice, with only the piano. I liked the guitar solo part. This is my first example of human excellence, so I hope you like it.
