Human Network is a global and decentralised network of young people committed to innovative and socially responsibile development, diffusion, and use of information and communication technology (ICT) worldwide. It was inititated in 2002 out of the momentum created during the ITU Youth Forums in order to lead real positive change. Please read our history section for a more detailed story about this idea.

One of the main aims of the Human Network is to help young, socially responsible entrepreneurs who work on initiatives that contribute towards the improvement of their community, country, region or the world. This is an example page to show how we can switch to a diffrent look for a horizon magazine article.

Once we pick a nice look, there should be no problem to add articles, and have them in a unique look.

At the moment, the Human Network is invitation only community. We decided to keep it this way because it is a community of both colleagues and friends. On the one hand, we want people to feel free and comfortable to share their ideas and opinion, even if those are still in preliminary shape. On the other hand, we want to keep the community focused on youth-led entrepreneurship that is aimed at positive social impact and oriented towards tangible projects and results.

As such, it offers some unique opportunities to the youth, people interested in social change, entrepreneurship, who are interested in what the next generation of leaders is thinking and how they can get involved.

Great news! Aneeqa Ishaq, a member of the Human Network community, participated in 2009 ITU Cybersecurity and ICT Applications Essay Competition and was selected as one of the winners. She has been offered a consultancy contract within the ITU Development Sector's ICT Applications and Cybersecurity Division in Geneva, Switzerland.
