These stories take place in imaginary worlds, where anything is possible, and the more bizarre the better.

These imaginary worlds are full of possibilities, and excitement. The stories in this genre, are so unbelievable, and yet at the same time, have the readers waiting for more of impossible. Not just the bizarre characters, some of which are beyond the imagination of most, but the places themselves. The cities found underwater, or the worlds floating on discs in the sky, buildings that move or vanish for no apparent reason.

If you are and avid reader, the best tales you may agree, are the ones that pull you into the story. Not only do enjoy the plot of the story, but also a well-written book will make the characters come to life. You can empathize with the people whose lives you are following from page to page. Whether they are wizards, warlock or aliens from another plant. It does not matter; you need to know what happens to them.

As with any good read, there is usually some battle that takes place pitting all the magic spells against each other in order to save worlds. And depending on the type of story you are reading, these struggles for power and control may take place in plain sight, for all those to see.

Getting caught up in twists and turns of the plots does not take much. Getting lost in the strange new worlds you come across with their bright colors, strange buildings and dwellings. The people who live in these places are just as unique as plots themselves.

Of the entire genre range, fantasy and adventure books offer so much to the person turning the pages. They are not just explorations; they tell of fantastic loves, deep-rooted fears and most of all they are about hope. Overcoming that which should not be there in the first place, to make the world around them right. It is how all good stories should work.

He wrote a book 'Culture & Anarchy' with a view to reviving the values which were like honey in ancient Greek. He checks the values of his own time by the light of that culture. His work 'Culture & Anarchy' is a collection of a few separate essays; they show his fighting and struggle against material affluence.

Here, we analyze his concept about 'Sweetness &Light'. In this treatise, his central focus and argument is on curiosity. It is defined as a liberal and intelligent eagerness about the things of mind or mental activities. According to him, the natal place of curiosity is a desire. It is desires that make some body pursue. The work of desire is to see the things as they are. The out ward expression of culture is shown in the general sweet expansion of thoughts and feelings, rich in dignity, wealth and happiness of human nature. The culture brings internal as well as external perfection of human. It quits all partialities and errors of man. Partialities and errors make anarchy in society.

Society around us: We all know that top ten per cent of the population and bottom ten per cent of the population (in terms of wealth) will never be inclined to spend quality time to the society around them. Of the remaining 80%, if we exempt very old people and children, we may have around 50% of the people will be available to be contacted. Experience shows that 1 or 2% of the available people will actually be willing to work for free.

Culture has perfection that is free from all kinds of narrowness.it stands against all the mischief men who have blind faith in machinery. In his opinion, the pursuit of perfection is the pursuit of sweetness and light. He who works for sweetness works in the end for light also; he who works for light works in the end for sweetness also. Culture has one great opinion, the passion for sweetness and light. Arnold shows pleasure to insist on the arousing of his contemporaries in all spheres of creative activities in art, literature and life. He insists that the light of culture must guide this national re-awakening to sweetness and light. Culture works differently, and it does not work with ready- made judgment and watch words. Its appeal is not confined to any one peculiar class in society. It deals with the best self that has been thought and known in the world current everywhere. Culture implies itself to make all men to live in an atmosphere of sweetness and light, where they may use ideas as it uses them itself freely. The great men of culture believe in equality and broad mindedness. They are possessed by a passion to spread culture from one end of society to the other. They carry the best knowledge and the best ideas of their times. It is the duty of these men to humanize knowledge, and therefore, it becomes the best knowledge and thought of the ages, and becomes a true source of sweetness and light. The great men of culture broaden the basis of life and intelligence and work powerfully to expand sweetness and light to make reason and the will of God to prevail. Consequently, a man of culture is like a honey bee. The job of honey bee is to suck the juice from all flowers (sweet or sour) and to make honey. Honey is sweet and liked by all in all forms. Honey has wax that is not useless because the candles are made of it light. Hence, in the end of sweetness is light. In this way, a man of culture seeks knowledge from all departments and shares it to all. He is not narrow-minded because such knowledge brings perfection. So his pursuit of perfection is sweetness and light.

Science Fiction And Fantasy Books

Today science fiction and fantasy books are no longer the reading material of choice for geeks, or people who read White Dwarf or role-players at the weekend. Hollywood productions have focused on this genre and have turned it around.

Since Tolkein wrote Lord of the Rings in the 1940s many works have been constantly influenced by it and produced prolifically. It is only since films like Northern Lights, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings, were produced that people have turned to this genre.

The same can be said about SF, which is also tainted by nerds and geeks. It is associated with conventions, such as the Star Trek or comic conventions of old, and can make many people want to avoid the genre. But films like i-Robot the Matrix, i-Robot, inception and Avatar, suddenly science fiction seems a lot more interesting.

The books themselves may be the reason that the genre has a bad or rather sad reputation. Although a literary masterpiece, Tolkein's trilogy is unreadable to a lot of people. It contains excessively detailed and lengthy descriptions, and myriad characters. This means it can be a slow read and not one you would stay up all night to read.

There are also many non-literary offerings which are written very badly with totally unbelievable and bizarre plot lines.

Science fiction books could be described in a similar way; some can have so much scientific detail (for example the electricity descriptions in Frankenstein) that the plot is easily lost, or again they can be poorly written and not believable.

However in this new era new types of science fiction and fantasy books are being introduced so you don't have to read about wizards and goblins or robots and aliens. For example horror has relinquished vampires to the fantasy genre, and writers like Haruki Murakami whilst seemingly writing quite ordinary stories give them a fantastic twist. There are many new worlds to explore, between pages of one of these novels.

We spent a night in Nanyuki, in order to write a good review of the Trout Tree Restaurant, Nanyuki, in the Mount Kenya area of Kenya.

The Trout Tree is a world away. A stunning tree house built above a river and a series of trout tanks, set off the well trodden route and definitely worth a visit.

Service is quick and the food, though simple was delightful. The menu was constrained in that everything they serve is hot or cold smoked trout, trout chowder or trout slices.

The cold smoked trout comes with tasty horseradish sauce and the trout slices include a hot sauce. Griddled Trout was my choice on the key courses - the trout comes fresh from the ponds below the fish was very well cooked and very fresh.

While we were at the Trout Tree Eatery, the present shop staff kindly told us about the new Lily Pond Arts Centre on the equator in Nanyuki.

The workers at Trout Tree were adamant that we paid a visit to the gigantic art gallery, as it displays reasonable modern art from East Africa's top modern artists, away from the bustle of city life.

You can choose to either suck up the atmosphere of this untroubled and special African arts place, or meet the "Artists in Residence". The Art Studio homes art graduates from art schools in Nairobi, Kenya who are on full-time, long-term placements at the arts center, producing and displaying new affordable art works.

This new art studio in Nanyuki, intends to operate as a springboard for young artists to launch their art careers, while allowing safari visitors to buy original pieces of art.

We also enjoyed a good lunch on a deck, overlooking an enormous lily pond.

With the great Mount Kenya Mountain as a backdrop, we also enjoyed watching the white egret, hunting the frogs in the pond!

What we found amazing is that the equator slices clean thru the middle of this Arts Centre. This indicates that you can view inspiring African art in both the Southern Hemisphere and the Northern Hemisphere!

This new Arts Centre in Nanyuki, has just installed a new equator sculpture, the Wish Globe, which is installed exactly at 0000000. Everyone writes down their wishes and then hangs them onto the "Wish Globe".

Assessment of Solio Game reserve and Solio Lodge

Fires were lit for our return, which make such a wonderful welcome after a full wildlife adventure.

We spent two nights in Solio Laikipia, to write a good review of the Solio Game Reserve in the Mount Kenya region of Kenya.

Solio is a special privately held sanctuary sandwiched on the Laikipia Plain, between the Abedares and Mt Kenya.

All Solio Ranch Lodges are non-public, modern, roomy and ecofriendly with panoramic views.The apartments at Solio Lodge also have unique bathrooms (bath and rain showers) have fires lit for your return, which are such an excellent welcome after a full wildlife adventure.

The Lodge has an amazing fusion of first class 5 star accommodations in a private wildlife sanctuary. I'm not sure it gets any better than the personal game drives followed by good food, service, folk and rooms.

The accommodation, the hospitality and the game experience were excellent. The staff were stupendously accommodating, warm and friendly. The food was the most extraordinarily healthy, flavorful and divine food, I've ever experienced on my many trips. You could not ask for a better five plus star experience.

While at the Solio Ranch the staff kindly told us about the new Lily Pond Arts Centre on the equator in Nanyuki.

The workers at Solio were adamant that we made a trip to the massive art studio, as it displays affordable contemporary art from East Africa's top contemporary artists, away from the hustle of city life.

Review of Lewa Safari Camp and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

We spent three nights in Nanyuki, in order to write a great review of Lewa Safari Camp Nanyuki in the Mount Kenya area of Kenya.

Through our stay at Lewa Safari Camp, service was conscientious and awfully friendly. The food, atmosphere and staff are unrivaled.

At Lewa, the common lounge area feels like being in a friend's warm and comfortable living room. 1 or 2 cozy areas allow families to gather or those of us traveling independently, an opportunity to meet and chat about the day's journeys with other guests.

The tents are large, ethereal, and snug. The laundry services are very good. There are many activities besides going out on safari, including horseback riding and visiting a town or forest. The horseback riding is fun as you get nearer to the animals. The forest was a pleasant change that involved hiking, walking across a long, treetop bridge, and hopping into waterfalls. The food at Lewa was delicious and all diet needs were honored. The wines were glorious and paired well with the meals. Each night at dinner, we were welcomed by genet cats, which are about the scale of a place cat. We also were stunned one night with a special dinner with a table overlooking the pool. We had a good experience at Lewa and would really like to visit again.

What Is Criminology?

When people delve into criminology, they might initially be surprised by how extensive the field is. Everybody associated with the scientific study of crime, the relationship between the criminal and their environment, and society's reaction to crime has some kind of place within the broad scope of Criminology. Sometimes, criminologists are researchers that are attempting to find the mutual links between deviant behavior and the environment, so they can pinpoint what it is that causes or perpetuates crime.

There are currently several different theories that try to explain, through the process of science, what it is that causes a crime to take place. Many of the theories began to emerge in earnest in the middle of the eighteen hundreds. During the next 200 or so years, new theories began to be put forward and gradually they started to involve hormonal activity, genetics and biological composition. Previously, theories of criminology rested mostly on society and the environment's effect on the individual to either steer an individual into crime or away from crime.

There are 3 distinct schools of thought concerning criminology. One of the first groups, the Classical school, believes that utilitarian philosophy is the foundational notion of criminology. They contend that individuals have free will and can say for themselves what is wrong and what is right. The hedonistic, or self-indulgent, side of the struggle has to be offset against the individual's rational and logic. When the selfish side wins, crime may ensue. Rational behavior is that part of the individual that might think about the penalty for committing the crime and, if the punishment is harsh enough, is also the part of the individual that would keep them from committing the crime by weighing up the costs. Positivists are those who believe that the factors that strengthen the criminal's propensity to go against the law do not rest under their own control. Rather, factors such as society, or the person's chemical makeup do.

These are things that are considered to be beyond the control of any individual, but are still elements that might play what Positivists assert as the biggest part in the cause, when a criminal has carried out a crime. In the Chicago school of thinking, individuals believe that criminals are a product of the disorganized environments from which they come. Later, this definition was expanded to include the belief that older generations taught younger generations about criminal activity. It is then fair to say that these individuals believe that crime happens only where the social composition of the area is damaged and unbalanced.

Crime is often considered to be a blemish in our culture and society. It causes people to be anxious when they just want to live quietly. Criminologists are, in their own way, attempting to discover what causes criminal activity, or promotes that kind of behavior in a person in order to reduce the amount of crime.
