Do you know what Derriere means? When I came upon the movie Undercover Brother's Trivia section on IMDB, I did not. Denise Richards claims her derriere was digitally inflated in promos of the movie.
A search on the free dictionary revealed that it meant buttocks. Makes me wonder why she had to use such fancy words, could have said "My ass is much smaller than what they have shown!"
Exploring around that page on the free dictionary, there is a block called 'References in classic literature' having this french quotation from a Ruyard Kipling book called Captain Courageous which goes 'Par derriere chez ma tante, Il y a un bois joli, Et le rossignol y chante Et le jour et la nuit.'
I did a GTranstale on it to get the following in english, "By derriere in my aunt, There is a pretty wood, And the nightingale sings there And the day and the night."
Ruyard Kipling must have had one large aunt allright :D

Blog Revival

I just happened to look at the stats of the blog and was quite surprised to find more than a handful of visitors. So yeah, why not revive it?

A revival of this sort should be accompanied by some nice funny.. hmm.. let's see....

Is it just me or are these ads incredibly silly? We tend to 'trust' regular service things, don't we? Like we trust some teachers coz they have taught many different wonderful things. We trust our docs, coz they have made us well lot of times. Now, these girls 'trust' BharatMatrinomy coz that website has found them lots of great husbands? LOL!!!

Here's the scene.. flipping along the channels when we come upon the SRK starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai on the local cable. It was well past bro's bedtime after which his lame jokes start to come out of their hiding (his hollow brain)..
So he tells me, replace K with F and H with K in the title of the movie.. ha ha.. so freaking funny.. F word... ohhhhh.. so funny.. my intestine's gonna come out laughing.... FREAKING NOT..
I knew I had to counter the lameness of this joke, so I tell him;

Hardik(me): You heard of that Salman Khan movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam?
Vinesh(him): yeah
H: Well.. now.. I will tell you what to replace.. replace Sanam with 'F***er'
V: ok
H: replace Chuke with 'horse'
V: yeah.. ok..
H: replace De with 'a' and Dil with 'is'
V: uh-huh
H: Now replace Hum with 'Vinesh'

I challenge all human race to come up with a prank more lame than this.

Like the name says, we are a couple of (slightly insane) brothers who feel that humour rocks.
Now.. everyone thinks that humour rocks, so whats new? I'll tell you what's new my friend, the two of us are gonna blog about nothing but humour.
It's gonna be all about psychological repurcussions and the theory and reason about why we laugh and the effects laughing and humour has had on our society... NOT.
Hell.. we're just gonna post fun stuff here.. mostly funny things that happen to us.

A little bit of intro:
1>Myself: Lucidly Awake, known as Hardik in the real world. (Yeah my name itself has some memorable funny stories about it.. figure it out. ;) ) I am studying to be an actuary, and hope that with help of this blog I retain my sense of humour despite that!

2>Cody(pronunce it 'Coddie'), aka Vinesh in the real world. He writes stuff.. I mean the non-funny things too.. some times they are a bit too non-funny, like about cartoon characters ripping each other's heads off and other such normal 15-year-old things.

Readers will learn a lot more about us with passing time.
