Mariah and Nick in UK's OK Magazine

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Thu, 14 Apr 2011 03:45:00 +0000

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon share their joy and excitement with the world in advance of the imminent arrival of their twins with a new set of photographs...
With her unique talent and signature vocal abilities, Mariah Carey commanded the world's attention when she made her musical debut as a teen in the '90s. In less than a decade she emerged as one of the most popular and widely acclaimed talents in music. As a singer, songwriter and producer, Mariah Carey has been recognised with the most prestigious accolades in the industry including five Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, Billboard's Artist Of The Decade Award and numerous World Music Awards, including the World Music Award for World's Best Selling Female Artist Of The Millennium.

As the best-selling female artist of all time, with over 250 million records behind her and as one of the media's biggest stars, Mariah Carey – who has been hailed as the most exciting woman in the world – has continuously raised the bar and set the standard of excellence within the music industry worldwide. Outside of her music career, Mariah recently received awards and great critical acclaim for her role in the film Precious, she has also launched her own perfumes with Elizabeth Arden and a footwear range in the US.

Mariah's husband, multi-millionaire Nick Cannon, has also achieved big success in his career. Known as one of the hardest-working men in showbiz, Nick launched his career in Hollywood in his teens and went on to become an actor, comedian, rapper and music producer. Nick is currently the host of America's Got Talent, CEO of Nickelodeon's TeenNick and host of his own breakfast radio show.

Together, Mariah and Nick have become America's new power couple, and in these new exclusive photographs, taken by photographer and friend of the couple Kristofer Buckle, they share their happiness and joy in advance of the arrival of their twins, a baby boy and a baby girl...

You're looking radiant! Are you feeling ready to have the twins now?
Mariah: Thank you. I am beyond ready! [Laughs] On a serious note, I am so excited to meet our babies and I am looking forward to being a mother. This is truly a blessing for Nick and I.

How did you feel when you learned you were having twins?
I was elated, surprised and a bit overwhelmed.

In the images you look wonderfully healthy – what has your approach been to your diet and exercise?
As far as exercise, I love the water. I always have. I was swimming daily until the doctors advised me to limit my activities. There will be time for that afterwards! People that know me call me a mermaid because I love the water so much, be it an ocean, lake, water park, even a river or a creek. I'm actually in the bathtub right now!

Has your appetite changed – can you share any thoughts on any surprising or humorous cravings?
In the beginning of my pregnancy, I was cooking almost every day but I can't be on my feet that long any more, so that's a wrap for now. It's funny, with this being the one time in my life that I can actually eat what I want and indulge any craving, I thought I would have taken advantage of it. But in my case, I haven't had much of an appetite at all, due to the babies taking up so much room in my belly. I do make sure I get my daily meals, vitamins, but mainly stick with small portions of fruit and protein. Every now and then I have a toasted marshmallow as dessert.

How have your preparations for their imminent arrival been going – have you been able to get their room ready? And you said recently that you can almost tell their personalities already! Are you excited to be having a baby boy and girl?
The preparations have been going great! We've just completed the LA nursery and are in the process of getting the New York nursery set. It's been so much fun designing their rooms. Oh yes! You can tell the personalities a bit. In viewing our ultrasounds, our boy is all ready like Nick, like: 'Here I am, take my picture or don't,' and our girl is coyly facing the other way, like: 'No pictures,' waiting for a proper debut. [Laughs] I took some ultrasound footage of them in the womb that I think they'll definitely find interesting later in life. Having a girl and boy at the same time couldn't be more perfect.

Are you close to choosing names for them both? What sort of inspiration will you take to choose their names?
We've had names picked out since we first met, believe it or not. We go back and forth, but want to wait until we meet them.

Tell me about how Nick is feeling – you said he's been incredibly supportive! Is he as excited about the birth? Do you think he will be a hands-on dad?
Nick is so excited about being a father. He already has this natural talent with children, they take to him right away. He's so nurturing, loving and fun. He definitely will be a hands-on dad. He already reads stories to my tummy.

What are you looking forward to once they arrive?
For starters, I'll be happy when they get off my bladder! [Laughs] Also, it will be nice to breathe when they get off my lungs – but honestly I'm just looking forward to bonding with them outside of my tummy! It's a whole new beginning and I am so beyond excited about it.

And how do you plan to spend the first weeks and months as a family?
Hopefully, Nick will take a bit of time off. [Sighs heavily, shakes head, rolls eyes and laughs] As I like to say, he's the hardest-working man in show business, so that's great, but I'm like: 'Alright already, take a break, stay put.' [Said while having a mild contraction] This is one of the few times in my career that I've actually taken it easy, sort of. I am looking forward to spending quality time with the babies and Nick and that's our plan.

Swizz Beats admits loving Alicia Keys has made him a better man

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sun, 31 Oct 2010 20:22:00 +0000

Check out what Swizzy had to say about loving Alicia Keys…

“It’s just a feeling,” Swizz said of he and Keys’ relationship. “Love is a word that’s powerful but the feeling is even stronger…To identify that feeling is something that’s amazing because it doesn’t only come from your partner. It comes from your love for music, your love for people, your love for a lot of things, and I think that once you identify the feeling of love, you’ll be a better person.”
“I’m a better man. I think that having love in your life, it just has that effect. Because then you spread love. You can’t enjoy love without spreading love. I just think that it all falls in the pocket.”

Doesn't that make you feel all warm and gushy?

Tiny charged with drug posession

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sat, 30 Oct 2010 15:30:00 +0000

According to TMZ:

Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, 35, will be arraigned on Monday in Los Angeles for misdemeanor drug possession — the same day her husband, rapper T.I., 30, is due to turn himself in to start serving an 11-month sentence at an Arkansas prison.

Cottle’s arraignment and T.I.’s incarceration both stem from a Sept. 1 traffic stop in West Hollywood. Police arrested the Atlanta-based newlyweds on suspicion of drug possession but only Cottle was charged. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday it would not prosecute Clifford Harris Jr., the rapper’s birth name, despite finding four ecstasy tablets on him.
That decision was reached in part because of the jail time facing T.I, 30. He was ordered to return to prison on Oct. 15 for violating his probation on weapons charges.

Wow, I feel sorry for her kids.

Kendra's TMI moment

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sat, 30 Oct 2010 15:24:00 +0000

Kendra shares that she wants the world to know she still craves Hank's sweet stuff. In a recent interview with E! the reality star spilled all her biz after being an innocent question — What does Hank plan to do after he retires from the NFL?

“Hank went to college and got a 4.0 throughout college in business,” she said. “I think he’s going to be just fine…I don’t care what he does. I didn’t marry Hank because he’s an NFL player. That was a little extra. It’s hot seeing him in those pants and the bulge in his pants, of course. That’s my taco meat right there. I call him my taco meat.“

“He’s so hairy,” she said. “Right now he’s in Minnesota and he’s like a bear. He’s like, ‘Where’s my barber?’ I shave his arms and I trim his chest and everything.”
SMH. Since this is Kendra we’re talking about we’re pretty sure “and everything” means she is handling the hair on his fuzzy nutsack too!!! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Even though Kendra made the decision not to live in Minnesota, she makes it clear that her Hanky-poo still makes her horny. So horny they have resorted to cyber sexin’ it up!

“We’re a little bit sexually frustrated,” Kendra said about living so far apart. “We have to have Skype sex. We have to. We definitely have to.”
“I’m going to go to Minnesota as much as I can,” she said. “I don’t care if we have to spend our Christmas and Thanksgiving in a small hotel room. I don’t care as long as we’re all together as a family.”

Damn Kendra...did you have to share that much information ?? SMDH

Is Fanny still capitalizing off her "suicide" attempt? Say it aint so...

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Fri, 22 Oct 2010 00:42:00 +0000

Fantasia's got a lot to talk about these days: Season 2 of Fantasia for Real only has 3 episodes left; she’s on tour; she still needs to make “Back to Me” move some units. And all this adds up to her talking about…
The one topic she said she was over talking about. Except now, she’s saying it was never her idea to talk about it in the first place. Here’s what she told Russ Parr about her little ordeal this morning:
Russ: You’ve been through a lot, and I, personally, I even said it on the radio, I just felt like you were put back out under fire a little soon. Do you feel like you needed a little bit more time to get yourself together?
Fantasia: Oh, of course! Of course I did, but the crazy part about it is that it always falls back on the commitments that you’ve made and agreed to. When it comes down to this business, and I hate to say it like this but it’s so true: they don’t care about what you’re going through. “Get yourself together, we’ll give you 2-3 days, when you come on back, we need you to tough it out and get in there.” And that was kinda like the whole prep [sic] talk from everybody.
For six years I’ve always taken everybody’s advice and wanted to do what everybody felt should be done, or best for the career. And now I’m at a point where I know for a fact that I’m [rebelling] right now. I don’t really wanna do anything crazy, but it’s my life and I’m gonna live it. I’m good now. I’m very very good, and ready to go back on the road, but doing me. And not even taking anybody’s advice like that.
Yea? We don’t buy that. The label can make you do interviews, but you can just as easily and forcefully refuse to talk about certain sh*t.
And for those of us who were wondering how little Zion is taking all this adultery and suicide talk, Fantasia says she’s got this.
To be honest with you, my daughter is totally clueless right now to everything. She only watch Disney Channel, ’cause there’s a lot of things going on the TV right now that I don’t want my baby to see. So we keep her on Disney Channel… Even with my Lifetime movie, my daughter hasn’t seen that yet. And I don’t want her to til she gets a certain age where she’ll be able to swallow some of the things that I’ve done.

NPR fires Juan Williams over anti-Muslim remarks

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Thu, 21 Oct 2010 22:27:00 +0000

Veteran journalist and political analyst Juan Williams was fired by National Public Radio yesterday for making what they called “anti-Muslim” remarks.

In reality, Williams was merely expressing the sentiments of many Americans in this post-9/11 era when he said that he gets “worried” and “nervous” when he sees people dressed in Muslim-style clothing on airplanes.

Williams, 56, made the comments Monday on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor”.

Bill O’Reilly, who made news himself when he told the ladies of ‘The View’ that Muslims caused 9/11, said, “The cold truth is that in the world today, jihad, aided and abetted by some Muslim nations, is the biggest threat on the planet.”

Williams, who is a frequent contributor to Fox News, agreed, and added:

“I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country,” he said. “But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they’re identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

In a statement released by NPR, the company said Williams’ comments “were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”

NPR needs to get in touch with reality. All of a sudden it’s considered politically incorrect to express realistic fears now that we have a Muslim president in office?

Monica and Lebron James encounter bullying and racism online

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Thu, 21 Oct 2010 22:17:00 +0000

Just weeks after admitting that racism still exists in America, NBA superstar LeBron James retweeted several racist “tweets” posted by one of his followers on social networking site Twitter.com.

According to ESPN.com, LeBron said he just wanted people “to see what type of words that are said toward me and towards us as professional athletes.”

Stars like LeBron expect to be treated with kid gloves by those around them.

But with the emergence of mini-blogging networks like Twitter.com, they openly expose themselves to negativity, harsh criticism and vulgarity from bullies who enjoy unprecedented access to the stars.

Gone are the days when celebrities were protected from the harsh realities of life by their handlers and publicists who monitored all forms of communications between their star clients and the public.

Two nights ago, R&B Diva Monica announced to the world that she was quitting Twitter after being bullied by a psycho who frequently targets urban celebrities on Twitter.com.

Monica’s BFF Keyshia Cole was able to convince Mo to make her Twitter page private. But the problem won’t end there.

Ironically, Twitter.com claims to have a policy in place for dealing with harassment. Maybe they will put that policy into action one day.

Is Mariah suffering from an illness?

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Mon, 27 Sep 2010 20:12:00 +0000

For months, there have been rampant, unconfirmed rumors, that songbird Mariah Carey is pregnant with her and hubby Nick cannon’s first child. Well, it should be evident that Mariah is in fact suffering from some sort of illness.
The industry grapevine has it that Mariah is suffering from “a serious medical problem” that could potentially threaten her career.

The rumors and innuendoes took on new life over the weekend when Mariah, whose face was pale and bloated, flew into Singapore on Friday (Sept. 24) to perform at a Formula 1 event.
A listless Mariah gave a lackluster performance in front of 110,000 screaming fans in Singapore. But as fan videos clearly show, Mimi had to sit to catch her breath numerous times during her show. Even if she was 6 months pregnant she wouldn’t be that short of breath.
Then she slipped and fell onstage — and had to be helped to her feet by assistants. Mariah couldn’t even remove her own shoes without help! None of this sounds like a pregnancy that isn’t even showing.
Many of us have seen the photos of Mariah leaving a Beverly Hills doctor’s office in recent months. And Perez Hilton posted pics 2 months ago of Mariah’s grossly distended belly.

Could Mariah be suffering from bleeding fibroids, an enlarged uterine cyst or some other gynecological problem that is sapping her strength?
While it’s obvious that she is not pregnant, we can only speculate what the “serious medical problem” could be.
Let’s face it, if a narcissist like Mariah was pregnant, she would have announced it by now so she can reap the benefits of all the attention her announcement would bring her.

Chris Brown accused of stealing a beat for his new track!

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Mon, 27 Sep 2010 15:47:00 +0000

Chris Brown is in hot water for stealing the beat of another track for his own club single “Yeah 3x”.

Calvin Harris was stunned to hear the similarities between his single “I’m Not Alone” and brown’s club-tinged song off his upcoming “F.A.M.E.” (Forgiving All My Enemies) album.

Over the weekend, the Scottish musician took to his Twitter page to complain about brown hijacking his beat: He has every right to be pissed: brown’s synthesized beat and Harris’ are nearly identical. Though the track was produced by a DJ, it behooves chris brown and his label to make sure the music is free and clear of samples or rights.

Harris plans to take legal action against brown and his record label.

Chris...that was not a good move hun.

Jermaine Jackson can't pay his child support! Time to put in a call to baby sis Janet!

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sun, 26 Sep 2010 15:51:00 +0000

According to a TMZ exclusive, MJ’s older brother Jermainejust asked a judge for a break on the amount of child support he has to pay for two of his son’s, Jermajesty and Jaafar.

Jermaine just filed new child support papers in L.A. County Superior Court — obtained by TMZ — grousing that he’s expected to pay $3,000 a month in child support for sons Jaafar and Jermajesty … even though his average monthly income for the last year has been under $1,100.

Jermaine claims his baby mama Alejandra not only earns more than him … but she gets a free ride along with his kids at the Jackson compound, thanks to Katherine’s generosity. Katherine has asked Alejandra to move her family into a nearly Jackson condo but Alejandra has refused and Katherine won’t put her foot down.

Maybe Katherine is going easy on Alejandra ’cause she added to the family tree on two branches. In case you missed it: she’s Randy’s baby mama too.
So what CAN he afford? Jermaine wants the judge to reduce his payments to $215 a month. SMDH
We wonder if Janet would come to his rescue.

Suge Knight Pulled Over In L.A., Car Searched

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sun, 26 Sep 2010 00:14:00 +0000

Embattled former CEO Marion “Suge” Knight can't seem to keep himself out of trouble.
But considering he was recently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, taken to court for child support, and facing a $6 million tax lien, he can mark this latest run in with the law as a slight win.
According to TMZ sources, the former Death Row head was pulled over in L.A. around 3 AM for a traffic violation when police realized he was driving on a suspended license.
The cops put Knight in the back seat of a patrol car while they rifled threw his car and belongings.
After the search came up empty, Knight was given a ticket for driving with a suspended license and released.
This will add another court date to the already hefty judicial schedule for Knight.
As recently reported, Suge is suing Kanye West for $1 million after he was shot in the femur during a 2005 VMA Awards after party that Kanye was hosting.
After a failure to mediate the matter last month, the case could go to trial.
In July an arrest warrant was put out on Knight for missing a court date for, ironically, driving on a suspended license.

Well Lindsay's been sprung out of jail!

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Sat, 25 Sep 2010 14:58:00 +0000

LiLo is a free woman yet again. Just hours after being denied bail by Judge Elden Fox, LIndsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley Chapman appealed that decision.
According to TMZ reports:

“Judge Fox ruled earlier Friday … Lindsay could be held without bail. But apparently the Judge’s ruling flies in the face of California law, which gives defendants the right to bail in misdemeanor cases.
Judge Patricia Schnegg, Assistant Supervising Judge for the L.A. County Criminal Courts, just threw Judge Fox’s bail decision out the window. Judge Schnegg has set bail at $300,000.”

Lindsay’s bondsman posted bail around 10 PM last night and she left Lynwood before midnight. She will be expected to abide by a number of conditions following her release, including:

Lindsay will have to get a SCRAM bracelet (this will be her third) within 24 hours — and under the terms of her bail, she is not allowed to be around known drug users … and must submit to search by law enforcement at any time. Also, nightclubs will be a major no-no … Linds has to stay out of places where alcohol is the “chief item of sale.”

This is not teaching her a lesson at all . I'm team Lindsay but she walks away from this thinkingher celebrity is what gets her out of trouble. We're rooting for you mama, but I don't know about this one.

Actor Gary Dourdan dodging creditor!

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Fri, 24 Sep 2010 20:27:00 +0000

Despite a steady 20-year acting career, Gary Dourdan owes one company a lot of money.
According to TMZ reports Dourdan owes one company nearly $100,000. And since their attempts to get the money from him has yielded nothing, they’re heading to court.

HSBC filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court — obtained by TMZ — claiming Dourdan owes $88,024.95 for credit card purchases over the last four years … plus cash advances.
According to the docs, HSBC has tried several times to get its money — but Dourdan isn’t answering those annoying calls. I guess when you're out of work, that stuff happens. We've been there boo.

Bye Bye Lindsay

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Fri, 24 Sep 2010 19:57:00 +0000

Lindsay Lohan posed for mugshot number four this morning after being taken into custody immediately upon arriving at her probation hearing.
As expected (and almost to our surprise), Lindsay arrived in court for a probation hearing this morning after having failed two drug tests last week. And as TMZ reports, it seems Judge Elden Fox was out to teach Lindsay a lesson no one saw coming.

Lindsay Lohan is in custody … after Judge Elden Fox shockingly denied her bail … and Lindsay could be sitting there until October 22. But LiLo’s lawyer just told us, the judge was dead wrong.
Judge Fox did not hear any arguments from the lawyers before making his ruling. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, told TMZ on the way out of court … the judge had no legal basis for denying her client bail.
Lindsay was handcuffed in court before being taken into custody.
It’s shocking because the underlying offense is a misdemeanor, and people connected with the case were telling us the judge had to offer Lindsay bail.
As for Lindsay’s reaction … she was shocked when the judge remanded her into custody. Lindsay looked at her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, before being taken out of the courtroom. She was taken from court in a single Sheriff’s vehicle, covered by a blanket.

A spokesman for the LA County Sheriff’s Office says Linds will be in “administrative segregation” for her safety and the safety of the jail system. This time though, there will be no early release unless the judge says otherwise.

Wire Talk: T.I. & Tiny Heading to Jail?

noreply@blogger.com (Hunee) — Fri, 24 Sep 2010 19:39:00 +0000

Rumor has it that Rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris is going back to Jail to serve three years & that his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle will be doing a year. According to a statement released by Atlanta U.S. Attorney Sally Yates, the self proclaimed “King Of The South,” could be going back to the place he was in just a couple of months ago.
U.S. Attorney Sally Yates told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a statement released Friday:

“We are very disappointed in Mr. Harris’ recent conduct, we will make our sentencing recommendation at the revocation hearing.”

The rapper and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle could face up to a year in California state prison, after they were found with ecstasy in West Hollywood on September 1st.
To make matters worse, not only did T.I. fail a drug test when traces of codeine were found in his system, but he was also traveling with a convicted felon named Cortez “C-Rod” Thomas.
All infractions are violations of the terms of T.I.‘s three-year probation for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers just before the BET Hip-HopAwards in October of 2007.
This is what MediaTakeOut.com stated:

MediaTakeOut.com has some SAD NEWS to report. While nothing is set in stone a person close to Tiny told us that both SHE and her new husband TI are making preparations to GO TO JAIL . . . for an EXTENDED TIME!!!

The insider explained, “At first I though they were just making plans ‘in case’ they both [got locked up]. But no, they’re acting like they’re both going away.” The tipster continued, “Tiny’s already got a drug possession case in Georgia, and the lawyers told her that they hand out jail time in LA like it’s nothing, so she’s preparing herself.”

Who gets custody of the children if and when the couple get LOCKED UP. The insider explains, “Tiny’s mom.”

This is such a sad story. We don’t even feel sorry for TI or Tiny, it’s the kids who will be
WITHOUT parents for months and possibly years that we feel bad for.
