Brown Dog Realty, a highly specialized real estate group focused on serving the area’s First Responders, has joined HUNT Real Estate ERA’s Columbus Division. Due to the unique time constraints and 24-hour shifts of police officers, firefighters, EMTs/paramedics and other healthcare professionals, these service providers need extra support when looking to buy or sell their home. The real estate sales associates with Brown Dog Realty have been successfully servicing this clientele for the past three years, and will continue to do so as part of HUNT Real Estate ERA Columbus Division’s Webster branch.

The Brown Dog Realty team is led by Syed Ahmed Mustafa, a licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with ten years of real estate experience. Mustafa is also a Lieutenant in the West Webster fire department, he serves as a paramedic and vice-president of the Board of Directors of Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support and has been involved in fire/EMS for 23 years. He has been credited with numerous saves, recognized by the state for his response to 9/11 with the NYS Liberty Award, and has written several articles on EMS for various national magazines. Mustafa has a degree in Political Science and History from the University of Rochester, and received his MBA from the Simon School of Business.

Most recently, Mustafa traveled to West, Texas after the massive fertilizer plant explosion to offer comfort and support to fellow firefighters and family of the 14 firefighters who lost their lives in this tragic event. Gary Kenline, Senior Vice President and Broker with HUNT Real Estate ERA, was recognized for his support and dedication to the REALTORS^® Political Action Committee with the prestigious Lawrence B. Caldwell RPAC Service Award during the 2013 NYSAR^® Mid-Winter Business meetings in Albany recently. Kenline, from the Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS^®, is an RPAC Major Investor. He has invested more than $18,000 in RPAC over his lifetime and remains an active RPAC investor and ambassador.

Lawrence B. Caldwell set a standard of dedication to the goals of RPAC that has been recognized as exemplary by his peers. His tireless efforts and generosity helped RPAC to be a strong force in federal, state and local politics. In addition to his generous monetary contributions to RPAC, Larry Caldwell acted at all times without self-interest and solely for the betterment of New York State’s REALTORS^®. To commemorate his longtime service on behalf of RPAC after his passing in 1999, the New York State Association of REALTORS^® Political Action Committee Trustees established the Lawrence B. Caldwell RPAC Service Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals who have demonstrated financial support for RPAC and who epitomize the role of the REALTOR^®.

“I knew Larry Caldwell personally, and to receive this award in his name is one of the highest honors I have ever received,” said Gary Kenline.

George is New York Senator which encompasses Niagara County, Orleans County, and part of Monroe County. He helped develop “Megan’s Law,” the registry which enables law enforcement officers and communities to track the whereabouts of convicted sex offenders.

He also authored the Assisted Living Reform Act, which created a host of long-desired reforms in the assisted living industry to better protect seniors and consumers. And he successfully championed the effort to have New York State sign the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact to help manage the Great Lakes for generations to come.

HUNT Real Estate ERA opened the doors to their brand new office space in Hamburg on February 1st. The thriving local real estate office is now even more strategically located, and the new facility is outfitted with the latest in technology and design features to service an active community of buyers and sellers.

The new office, located at 5546 Camp Road in Hamburg, boasts of 5,000 square feet, divided into 12 private/semi-private offices, 24 cubicle/work stations, 3 state-of-the-art conference rooms each with 40 inch flat screen TVs, and an agent "Lounge Area" with oversized chairs featuring built in swivel computer tables. All in all, an office of the future - designed to meet the needs of the branch’s 40 dedicated and on-the-go real estate agents and the experienced office staff and leadership that support them.

"I am lucky to have been the person who managed the entire project from ground breaking to moving in,” said John Rummel, Broker Consultant for HUNT Real Estate ERA’s Hamburg office. “The HUNT Hamburg agents are the most productive agents per person anywhere in Western New York and they deserve the best work environment, technology and support which they now have," Rummel continued.
