I can't believe it is a month since I started using two phones. I bought my new phone on May 24^th from a small shop in Jayanagar after much waiting and debating. I finally decided on Nokia 5230.

'Connect the Dots' contains story of 20 people, each distinct from each other with hardly anything in common; except for passion, of course. The stories are… cool. When I was reviewing this book last week, my cousin brother (of age 11) saw the title and asked me about it. He asked if this book suggests we should not eat and become a fool. I didn't know how to explain the meaning of the title to him in simple words. He is quite sharp, that's true but it still takes some effort. I am going to take that effort now.

How To Train Your Dragon

This movie was all that I hoped it to be. It was not long, was funny for adults and kids, was fun to watch and showed subtle points you would want to emphasize to your kids when you tell them stories or fairy tales. The story does not have a lot of twists and turns, which is how it normally is for a kids' movie. The plot moves straight ahead and it is fairly predictable. It is a good watch overall and the 3D experience added to the value.

Buying a new monitor

The path that I really want to take is actually the most expensive. I wanted to try out a dual-monitor setup since long but it never worked out. I guess this is my chance. I am thinking of buying a new monitor and getting this repaired. That way, I can try out a dual-monitor setup as long as my old monitor lives. Once it fails, I can properly evaluate if the dual-monitor setup actually improved my productivity and then buy a new one at that time.

The New Year actually started on a new high before an impromptu slump to a new low - one of the most contrasting high and low of my life. The weather has played an important role in my life since my engineering days in Bangalore and even here in Melbourne, though I have come a long way, literally as well as personally, weather does seem to hang onto me in a peculiar way.
