Hey there! I agree that working directly with SWFs are better but for a current project I imported an SWF into After Effects and it wont read the keyframed animations I put INSIDE the movie clips. It only read the animation on the main FLA timeline. I tried exporting to MOV but it lags also. Any thoughts?

mov files are HUGE. Dont use them for the web. If you're playing it locally then size isnt an issue unless its an older system and the video is ridiculous.

Hi! I exported from a flash to mov. The swf was 250 kb in size and the mov turns out like 500+ mb!
Is there a way to make the mov's size smaller or is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

Generally the swf is the best of the group. If even that one isnt playing well then I wouldn't expect the rest of them to work any better than the original. You may have to split the animations up or simplify things to make it work fluidly.
The other thing to consider is that you may want to test it on a slower connection and lessor machine. As you're seeing, flash can get pretty demanding and not everyone has a high end machine, even if its working well on your machine it may not on others.

Hi There, I recently created a flash scene that is pretty animation heavy, alphas, gradients, the works.....so much that the swf doesnt really play properly without lag. I tried exporting as a MOV with ur directions but i still am getting the animation stop/cutting and lag, its defo not playing at 31 fps...is there anyway around this
