Buying a hybrid car is like making a compromise to helping the world. It’s a joyful experience that makes you feel great and it gives you pride in knowing that you are now part of those who don’t just go around burning gas like it will last forever. However, with so many choices out there, how do you know which car to buy?

That’s why I started researching all the available models out there. Here is my latest hybrid car review: The Nisssan Altima Hybrid.

The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid is the first attempt to break into the hybrid market from Nissan. With a 244.8v NiMH battery pack designed by Panasonic, the Altima is a hodge podge of automotive ingredients that range from Ford to Toyota. The exterior is nicely packaged and yet traditional in a specifically Nissan way.

The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid is a response from Nissan to the success of the Toyota Prius. Nissan claims that diesels are the most efficient route to take with hybrids. That’s why Nissan is debuting their hybrid line with a diesel.

The Altima hybrid is only on sale in 8 states, which will make it hard to find replacement parts and general service for the vehicle. All in all, this hybrid doesn’t exactly spark excitement when I think of it. The overall design is the same as the non-hybrid Altima and the car wasn’t that impressive even when it was only gasoline. It is rumored that a new redesign will be implemented in the 2012 model. It might be a good idea to wait the two years for the new version.

Some people do believe that hybrid vehicle started in the early 1900’s. In fact, hybrid vehicles have been around longer than you think they are. The start of the hybrid technology was believed to be in 1665, when Ferdinand Veriest and Jesuit priest began to work on a plan to create a simple four wheeled vehicle that could run by steam of pulled by a horse. Then in 1769 when steam-powered carriage was invented. Although this carriage does have the speed of six miles per hour, it is still hard to maintain enough steam for a long distance ride. It was then improved when British inventor Golds worthy Gurney built a steam car that successfully completed an 85 mile round trip journey in ten-hour times. Then in 1893 Moritz Von Jacobi sailed an electric boat on the Neva, using an electromagnetic engine of one horse power. And in or about that year is when Robert Anderson of Aberdeen, Scotland built the first electric vehicle. However, the vehicle brought lots of problems like the limited range and a battery power that was difficult to recharge. It was later then improved by David Salomon in 1870 when he developed an electric car with a light electric motor, but still faced problems creating a battery that could easily be recharged.

Then in 1879, the first electric railway was built by Dr. Werner Von Siemens. The wheels on the vehicle were driven by an electric motor drawing its electricity from the rails which were insulated from the ground and connected to a generator. And also in that decade, year 1886 the business investors in London gained interest in developing an electric taxicab. The design was powered by a 28 cell batter system that would drive a small electric motor. Even so, this one did not come into regular use. It then came year 1888, a company built a four passenger carriage for the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire it is powered by a one horse power motor and a 24 cell battery. And on that same year, Ma nus Vol in Brighton, England made a three wheeled electric car.

Then in 1897, the London Electric cab Company began to provide the city with a regular service, using a cab powered by a 40 cell battery and a three horse power electric motor. It was called the “Betsey Cab” after its inventor, Walter Betsey. The cab can go up to fifty miles before the battery had to be recharged. Come year 1897 where the Pope Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut, built around electric cars over a two year period.

Then after that year came 1898, the year where the first world’s first hybrid car the Loonier Porsche petrol electric “mixed”, which was built by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche of Germany. Porsche gave the nickname “Aunt Eulalie” to the first series of hybrids, but it was officially named as Simper Viv-us, which means “always alive. The first hybrid car can travel a distance of forty miles on a battery power alone. This car used a petrol engine rotating at a constant speed to drive a dynamo, which charged a bank of accumulators. The accumulators then fed current to electric motors contained within the hubs of the front wheels. Therefore, there was no need of drive shafts, transmission, gears, straps, chains, or clutch. And because of the hybrid car quickly success thousands of hybrid cars were produced by companies such as Kroger, Lonee Porsche, and Auto Mixtec in the year between 1902 and 1920.

In 1900 the creation of gas and electric hybrid cars has been seen in Belgium. It was developed by Pie per, a Belgian car-maker. He introduced a three and a half horsepower motor which the small gasoline engine was joined to an electric motor that is found under the seat. The electric motor was, in effect, a generator that recharges the batteries while driving. Nevertheless, when the car needed some extra power to make its way up to a steep incline, the electric motor would kick in and provide a boost to the gas engine. And because of the popularity of electric hybrid cars the Electric Vehicle Company built 2000 taxicabs, trucks, and buses, and set up a subsidiary cab and car rental companies from New York to Chicago in early 1904. In 1905 an American engineer named H. Piper filed a patent for a petrol-electric hybrid vehicle. His idea was to use an electric motor to assist an internal combustion engine, mainly to add the ICE to let the vehicle accelerate to 25 miles per hour in 10 seconds, Instead of the usual 30 miles per hour. Then after three and half years the patent was issued. By that time, the engines had become powerful enough to achieve this kind of performance of their own.

In 1910, a company by the name of Commercial Built Truck, which used a four cylinder gas engine to power a generator, eliminates the need for a transmission and Battery Park. This hybrid was built by company in Philadelphia until 1918. Steamers and electric hybrid cars were almost completely wiped out in 1913. Sales of electric cars dropped to 6,000 vehicles, while over 180,000 gasoline cars were sold. Lots of car makers who still believe in the idea of hybrid car still try their best to put the hybrid cars back to the production. Like Baker of Cleveland and Woods of Chicago two prominent electric vehicle makers offered hybrid cars that can reach a maximum speed of 35mph and achieved fuel efficiency of 48 mph. And the Woods Dual Power was more expensive and less powerful than its gasoline competition, and therefore sold poorly.

And it then considered that the year 1920 to 1965 become the dormant period for mass produced electric and hybrid cars. However, Hybrid vehicle technology did not disappear and its development continues. Lots of people still believe in the hybrid technology. Hybrid vehicle technology becomes the answer for most of the global problems. Just like in 1966; U.S Congress introduced first bills recommending use of the electric vehicle as a means to reduce air pollution. After a long quiet period, hybrid cars show up again in 1969. On that same year General Motors 512 was designed, it runs entirely on electric power at a speed under ten miles per hour. The vehicle ran on a combination of electric power and gas combustion from 10 to 13 miles per hour. Arab oil embargo became a huge problem in 1973. The price of gasoline soared, which created new interest in electric vehicles. The U.S Department of Energy ran a test on many electric and hybrid vehicles produced by various of manufacturers this includes the hybrid known as the Volkswagen Taxi which was produced by Volkswagen in Wolfs-burg, West Germany. The Volkswagen Taxi was shown at auto shows throughout the United States and Europe. It used a parallel hybrid configuration allowing flexible switching between the gasoline engine and electric motor and logged over 8,000 miles on the road. Volkswagen Taxi is considered to have the higher range of efficiency than any hybrid had ever exhibited up to that time. In 1974, engineers Victor Wok and Charlie Ros-en were part of the Federal Clean Car Incentive Program, created a prototype hybrid gas electric vehicle using a Buick Skylark body. The vehicle was tested and certified to meet the strict guidelines for an EPA clean air auto program by The U.S Environmental Protection Agency, but later been rejected. The American Motors developed a fleet of electric powered vans and delivered 352 electric vans to the U.S Postal Service, which they tested extensively. Unfortunately, the project did not meet with the level of success that everyone had hoped.

The years 1976 to 1980 were the year that hybrid technology has been a good help. The Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Research, Development, and Demonstration Act of 1976 and U.S Congress enacted Public Law 94-413 were among the law’s objective to work with industry to improve batteries, motors, controllers and other hybrid electric components. And General Electric was chosen to construct a parallel hybrid sedan. And Toyota built a small sports car with a gas turbine generator supplying current to an electric motor, which makes it the first hybrid car for Toyota. Audi introduced the first generation of the Audi Duo experimental vehicle in 1989. It is based on the Audi 100 Av-anti Quarto. It has a 12.6 horsepower electric engine, which drove the rear wheel instead of the propeller shaft. And also use a nickel cadmium battery to supply the energy. Two years after that, Audi unveiled the second generation Duo, which is also based on the Audi 100 Av-anti Quarto. Toyota came back by introducing the Pris in 1997, which is exclusive to its Japanese market. On that year, the Pris sold 18,000 cars and seemed to be the first significant mass marketed the hybrid vehicle in the world. Then Honda introduced the Insight, a lightweight hybrid two door model that cracked the American market in 1999. The vehicle could demonstrate a rating of 61 miles per gallon in the city and 70 miles per gallon on the highway.

It then came 2000 the door of the new century is open for the hybrid technology. Lots of companies and car maker introduce and release lots of new and improve the hybrid vehicle of their own. Toyota released the first hybrid four door sedans available in the United States in 2000. And Honda introduces Honda Civic Hybrids, its second available hybrid gasoline electric car. The car appearance and provability was and still is identical to the conventional Civic. And in 2004 Toyota release the Toyota Pris II which won 2004 Car of the Year Awards from the Motor Trend Magazine and the North American Auto Show. The demand for Toyota Pris II was surprising, that they pumped up the production from 36,000 to 47,000 for the United States market. Lots of interested buyer’s waited up to six months to purchase the 2004 Pris. Furthermore, on September of that year, the Ford released the Escape Hybrid, the first American hybrid and the first SUV hybrid.

The sudden increase of the oil product in 2007 had been a huge crisis all over the world. And because of that the production of hybrid cars and vehicle had increased. Lots of car companies and car makers around the world came up with lots of different kinds of hybrid vehicles. Some even convert their ordinary cars to hybrid cars. Lots of taxi cabs in the Philippines now a day’s had been using Auto-gas, used as an automotive transportation fuel or LP gas as an alternative to powered gasoline gas. The development of this kind of hybrid cars does help a lot of people who are having a problem with the oil price increase and become the answer to the oil price increase the problem in air pollution.

Hybrid cars
are getting more and more popular today. In fact, more and more people are now purchasing hybrid cars because of a number of reasons. One is that they will enjoy tax incentives as a buyer of a hybrid car, two is that they will be able to save a lot of money from the rising cost of precious, expensive and limited supply of fuel and three, it will enable them to generate less pollution to the environment because of the extremely low toxic emissions generated by hybrid cars.

Because of the growing popularity of hybrid cars, more and more car manufacturers are now competing to produce the best kind of hybrid cars. They are now producing hybrid cars integrated with state-of-the-art technology that will enable consumers to save more on fuel, and also a car that will be able to produce low toxic emissions.

However, because of the growing market for hybrid cars, and also because of more and more car manufacturers that are now integrating hybrid technology in their cars, many people tend to get confused on which hybrid car to purchase. Besides, all car manufacturers promises to offer the best kind of hybrid cars in the market today.

In order to know which hybrid car to purchase, you have to compare them closely for you to know which hybrid car is for you and which hybrid car you can benefit from more. You have to compare some factors of hybrid cars in order to determine which hybrid car is better than the other.

However, before you go on and compare hybrid cars, you first have to know a little something about how hybrid cars work and how you can benefit from it. First of all, hybrid cars use the cleanest and the most efficient source of energy, which is electricity and also gasoline. Hybrid cars are what you can describe as a cross between a conventional gasoline-powered car and an electric-powered car.

It allows you to save fuel and emit lower volumes of toxic fumes because hybrid cars run on electricity when it is idle. What this means is that when you are stuck in traffic, and the hybrid car is running idle, or not in motion, it will automatically switch of the gasoline engine. Therefore, the hybrid car will run purely on electricity. Once you step on the accelerator pedal, it will automatically switch on the gasoline engine again to run the car.

So, now that you know how hybrid cars work and how you can benefit from it, you now have to know how to compare hybrid cars in order to get the right kind of hybrid car for your everyday use.

First of all, you need to determine how you will use the car. If you have a family, it is recommended that you get an SUV hybrid vehicle. This will enable you to carry more passengers. However, you also have to consider that SUV hybrid vehicles can cost a little more than hybrid cars.

The main advantage of a hybrid car is that it is fuel efficient. You have to choose a hybrid car that is the most fuel efficient in order for you to maximize its benefits. You can ask your dealer about the fuel efficiency of the car. They will be able to tell you how much miles a gallon it can save compared to conventional cars and other hybrid cars.

These are the ways on how you can compare hybrid cars in order for you to choose which one to get.

As people become more aware of environmental issues and conscious of their actions, demand for hybrid cars
, to buy and rent, has risen.

A hybrid car is a car which can run on two or more fuel sources - most commonly an engine and an electric motor powered by batteries. The motor and batteries help the engine work more efficiently which means you spend less on fuel and emit fewer emissions.

The Toyota Prius is probably the most well known hybrid car. It first went on sale in 1997 and since then, more than 10,000 Prius’ have been sold in Australia. The Australian Government’s Green Vehicle Guide website rates all new vehicles based on greenhouse and air pollution emissions and fuel consumption. The Prius is currently the top performer in all 3 with a fuel consumption of 4.4L per 100kms.

To give you an idea of what this means - a Hummer H3 Adventure has a fuel consumption level of 13.2L/100km, Toyota Rav 4’s fuel consumption is 9.6L, a Mercedes Benz C Class C180K is 7.6L and a Honda Civic 1.8L sedan has a fuel consumption of 7.2L. According to Toyota, a Prius has up to 50% less consumption than a comparably-sized family car and that one tank of fuel could theoretically get you over a whopping 1000km!

While hybrid cars are still quite expensive to buy - a Toyota Prius 1.5L petrol/Electric combination CVT will set you back $37,400 (from www.toyota.com.au), renting one may be within your budget.

DriveAway currently have Hybrids available to rent in France and the USA, but with car rental suppliers adding more ‘green’ cars to their fleets, this is sure to grow over the next few years.

It has been reported that Toyota is planning to run a
hybrid car in the NASCAR endurance race soon. The endurance race runs
for 24 hours, so the question is, can the NASCAR’s hybrid racer finish
the race let alone win it?

Toyota has been developing and making
hybrid cars since 2006 and the world’s leading seller of hybrids
vehicles, Yomiuri Shimbun, wants the Le Mans endurance race to be the
main showcase for the hybrid vehicle.
There are professionals in all fields working hard on the NASCAR’s hybrid racer to get it ready for 2010.

It
may seem like a lifetime away, but in reality it will come up to them
quicker than a starting car. There are dozens of people from Toyota in
the racing and the hybrid divisions working round the clock to perfect
the car.

Toyota as a company is no stranger to this field as it
has had a hybrid racer win an endurance race that lasted 24 hours. It
was the Supra HV-R hybrid car that Toyota won with. They stopped
however during 1999 when the car only placed second. They started to
focus on the formula 1 racing world.

Hybrid cars can stand the
test of an endurance race as Toyota has proved in the past. Is it only
a matter of time before every car in races such as NASCAR and Formula 1
are hybrid cars?

The green cars still play second best to diesel
or petrol cars; can they ever make it up to and beyond them? There is
no doubt that hybrid cars can stand up in style, speed and comfort
stakes.

However, when we are talking about 24 hour endurance races and Formula 1 races; will they ever be able to get anywhere close?

Hybrid
cars of NASCAR may be said as not second best, however, as these cars
have shown through tests that they are at par with the world’s best
diesel and petrol cars.

There is no doubt that the world is
starting to take hybrid cars more seriously than ever before, we are
more focused on what is green now than we ever have been. It is
important for all aspects of motoring that NASCAR’s hybrid racer can
perform and outperform other standard cars.

It could lead the way
for everyone else to take notice too. Right now, the world over is
betting that hybrids have lots of good things to offer to the riding
public.

And they are certainly right about that.

NASCAR hybrid
racers like that of Toyota will make big news, as predicted by sports
fans, in the upcoming endurance race because of the increase efforts
invested by automakers.

Design, engineering and endurance tests
have been amazingly doubled by most companies to give the hybrids
especially the NASCAR racers the push they need to further upgrade
their reputation and worldwide acceptance. NASCAR hybrid racers will
give avid car racing fans the show they want to see come the next
Daytona or even F1.

Hybrid cars have really gone a long way and
the world has indeed realized that the gas guzzling, environment
harming vehicles are not going to save the world any time soon.

The
eco-drive that hybrid cars offer has finally found its way to America
and they have managed to do it in amazing style… Not that we expected
anything less of course.

If you haven’t taken the leap into the hybrid automobile market you aren’t alone but the owners of hybrid cars are jumping into the green market and leading the way for those of us still driving the regular gas-only engine cars.

Besides getting the tax breaks and other perks for buying hybrids these drivers still are seeking to improve fuel economy. A lot of hybrid owners have stated that even though their hybrids give them better mileage than their previous gas vehicles they are not really satisfied with the fuel economy because they thought the difference would be even more.

These pioneers of the hybrid market seem to have high expectations of their vehicles even though some are getting over 60 mpg on their cars. For many the problem is that they are not driving their hybrid like a trained tester would and therefore are not seeing the fuel economy. Some of these drivers have been consulting with driving experts who have been coaching them on how to drive for maximum efficiency and fuel economy. After being trained the drivers are saying that they are getting better mileage than before. What is good to know about this is that the same driving tips for getting better mileage will work for drivers of regular cars too.

Many hybrid cars make use of a method that is being termed as pulse and glide. The way it works is that you end up in the zone where the use of gas and electricity is somewhat balanced. Toyota hybrids seem to reach this point at somewhere between thirty and forty mph. Once you hit that zone you have to hit the gas quick which results in a clean screen with black arrows on the dashboard telling you that you have stabilized energy use, incredibly this tactic can as much as triple your fuel economy!

The next tip is almost as old as driving itself and many drivers just refuse to heed it. Driving slower and avoiding fast stops and starts is one of the easiest and surest ways to conserve gas but most drivers can’t stand to simply drive the speed limit. It takes some planning but if you are committed to changing your lifestyle and giving yourself a little more time to get to your destinations it will be worthwhile. Try to glide as much as possible, if the front end of your car dips every time you put on the brakes you are wasting a lot of energy; instead you should be coasting up to the light or stop sign.

You may get to the next stoplight faster by rushing through that yellow light but it isn’t helping your gas mileage.

One main issue with electric cars is charging on the go, where can you charge your vehicle and be properly billed for it if you want to charge it away from your home? This problem also applies to people who live in condos. A British company called Elektromotive hopes to solve this with their EBConnect system, together with their Elektrobay prototype.

The Elektrobay is a fully operational charging station that is said to be compatible with all plug-in electric and hybrid cars. The Elektrobay’s power sockets are located under a secure weatherproof door. While charging is in progress the door is locked shut with only a small hole for the power cord to hang out of it, to prevent interference. It puts out 240V and 13A in the UK or 230V and 16A in Europe, but tere is also a 3-phase “fast charge” prototype in the works which supplies 32A in effort to reduce charging times.

The charging bay then communicates with a billing server with EBConnect, which manages 2-way data exchange of electricity usage and billing data via GSM networks. The system allows the user to pay via various methods such as a prepaid Elektrobay keyfob, or automatically added to the user’s household electricity bill, or even via SMS messaging, and automatic registration number recognition.

The first Elektrobay was installed back in 2006 in London, and the total amount of Elektrobay stations now stands at 100 around the city. Another 40 will be added in cities and shopping malls around UK. Elektromotive also supplies the Elektrobay to Holland, Sweden, Germany and Ireland.

The higher rates of petrol is pinching every pocket in the world. With the rise in demand for petrol in the developing countries like India and China, the world’s supply of oil is bound to get increasingly strained. Researchers have been involved in finding out means to combat this problem and for this some of the hybrid options that have been evolved are - fuel cells vehicles that run on hydrogen and emit only vapour, Bio Fuel vehicles that are made exclusively from plant materials and Electric Vehicles that run on rechargeable batteries. Though all these hybrid options have been a success in their own respective ways ans areas but all of them lack something. To counter this problem and develop an absolutely refined alternative, the Environmental Protection Agency has come up with Hydraulic Hybrids.

Though they install almost the similar concepts that of the electric vehicles but instead of using potentially pollutive and batteries, these incorporate lightweight components and clean fluid to power the vehicle while it’s at slow speeds. This write up throws light on the methodology involved in these components of Fluid Power that makes them a sought after product in the automobile market.

Today, this technology can be found in almost all those cars that offer hybrid engineering. The main component is the lithium ion batteries that prove instrumental in moving the car. Available in both gasoline and electric version, batteries get charged though a process called regenerative braking. The brakes of the vehicle also planted in a manner as to whenever the car brake is applied, two pads squeeze the wheel, which causes friction and thus the car comes to a halt. As soon as the hybrid brakes are applied, the friction produced is used in recharging the battery. The battery thus powers the electric motor which in turn makes the car work.

Most of the hybrid car owners complain of slow speed, but thus hydraulic hybrid technology once the car hits 20 to 30 mph, the gas engine takes over and the car operates like any other. Hydraulic Hybrid cars are designed to use three main components to power a vehicle at slow speeds and to augment the gasoline engine. The fuel is stored in the low pressure reservoir, while the fluid is moved with the aid of a pump and high pressure accumulator. Besides, these three components, there is need of energy to start the car. Here the difference between the Hydraulic Hybrid cars and others lies in the functioning. While the hybrid cars send power to the electric motor, which then sends it to the drive shaft, the Hydraulic Hybrid vehicles uses the accumulator to send the energy directly to the drive shaft. Thus, the the vehicle accelerates, and the pump moves the fluid back to the reservoir, ready to charge the accumulator again.

The hybrid Hydraulic vehicles run on a simple mechanism but act very helpful in the conservation of fuel as well as saving the environment from harmful pollutants.

Having an experience of 9 years in the engineering and scientific industry, I have been working in this industry as an analyst and researcher. Besides, various other undertaking in the scientific and engineering markets to my credit, I have been associated with some of the most renowned marts of scientific and engineering products.

There is much in the news these days on the subject of hybrid cars. However, beyond the generic description of what a hybrid car truly is, very little in-depth information is presented on the subject. Because of this, some individuals may wonder if a hybrid car truly is worth it. This is understandable as some hybrid cars do come with a price tag that is slightly more than the average cost of a car. People will want a decent return on their investment at that is why they would prefer a little light shed on the value of these cars. In a nutshell, the answer is they are definitely worth it. The reasons are as follows:

Probably the most attractive benefit to hybrid cars centers on the fact that it is a very cost-effective purchase. While the initial purchase price of a hybrid car can be a little steep for some, the car eventually pays for itself over time thanks in large part to the reduced fuel costs. After all, a car that gets 60 miles to a gallon will cost half as much in fuel purchases than a car that gets 30 miles to a gallon. If you are paying an average of $2 a gallon, you will be saving a significant amount of money per year. And, of course, oil prices are not standardized. They will ebb and flow based on demand. This is why gasoline can quickly jump to $4 per gallon with little notice. When gasoline jumps that high in price, the effect such expenditures can have on one’s budget are devastating as the common, everyday process of traveling to work becomes a huge financial drain. With a hybrid car, the savings one can acquire can dramatically reduce the cost impact rising oil prices so often yield.

And, of course, it goes without saying that the impact to the environment is drastically reduced via hybrid cars. When cars burn gasoline to fuel the engine the end result are noxious emissions through the tailpipe. In the past, this was unavoidable since gasoline was the only fuel source for a car. Now, hybrids share this responsibility with an electric battery. Electric power does not yield emissions and that reduces the impact a vehicle can have on the environment. Remember, the less fossil fuels you burn, the less emissions you create. It is as simple as that.

There are also a number of benefits regarding hybrids and their relationship to the conservation of fuel. The less gasoline you need to put into a car, the less supply is used. This means demand goes down which, in turn, means prices will go down. This will allow our fossil fuel resources to last far longer than they would without the inclusion of hybrid cars while also reducing the costs for using the fuel. Really, that is a win-win situation if there ever was one.

As of the first quarter of 2007, data from Forbes show that in the US alone, hybrids garnered a combined sale of more than 17,000 units, a remarkable 10% increase from the same period in 2006. The demand is definitely rising, and this demand is translating into actual sales. Sale of hybrid vehicles vis-à-vis the total number of light-duty vehicles sold also increased by as much as 1.4% compared to previous year levels. This only means more and more buyers prefer hybrids to conventional-fuel models.

Why the Rush to the Hybrid Section?

As fuel prices soar, more and more car buyers are prompted to go for hybrid cars. Since 2003, hybrid car-makers have been raking in profits from hybrid car sales. In 2004 in the US alone, hybrid car sales were almost 88,000 units. And with the increasing awareness about climate change and global warming, hybrid car sales are yet again expected to surge.

With great expectations for hybrid car sales to reach record highs in 2007, car makers are rushing to put into the market new models, packed with all the environmental protection and fuel efficiency features that they could muster, not to mention the technological come-ons. New models are also widening the array of offerings, from compact to mid-sized sedans, to SUVs and minivans, even to pickups and trucks.

Car buyers can afford to be choosy with the broad range of hybrid units being offered in the market today. Moreover, fuel-efficiency and environmental friendliness features of these hybrids are reaching new heights, captivating a new kind of socially conscious and responsible breed of buyers.

Prices are reasonable enough to guarantee a following. Moreover, tax incentives and breaks are given to buyers of these eco-friendly hybrid units. Doing the math, the hybrid buyer is aware that he can easily recoup the few thousand dollars difference of a hybrid model over that of a conventional one, through reduced fuel consumption.

Safety And Efficiency

And these hybrids come safe for the buyer and his family, too. In addition to fuel efficiency, hybrid safety features are bringing in more buyers. Open the windows and the low emissions of your hybrid ensure that your kids are breathing fresher and cleaner air inside and outside the hybrid van. Navigation and stability systems for the hybrids are also a notch higher, adding to the safety factor more. A hybrid car buyer is assured of efficiency not only fuel-wise, but overall car performance-wise.

As buyers become more fuel-price conscious and more aware of climate change and the effects of greenhouse gases; as they realize that safety is paramount, and begin to expect comfort and enjoyment from riding safe and eco-friendly vehicles, hybrid car sales will continue to rise. Car makers are thus capitalizing on this trend and are coming up with one innovative hybrid model after another. Every car dealer will surely have one hybrid in his stable.
