The woman behind 12 Daily Pro who left hundreds of thousands of investors out millions of dollars, has put out her single on a new internet site: www.startupst.com. Startup Street promises to teach people how to be web entrepreneurs making millions for themselves. For a consumer to join, is costs nothing just a lot of personal information and a stream of websites and advertisements along with surveys about those site. This will allow Johnson to create profile that could be much more lucrative than mere membership fees.

ABC 4 asked a West Valley mom and former 12 Daily Pro investor to look at the site, sign-up and then tell us what she thinks. The first thing Debbie Nelson noticed was the layout. The colors are different, but taken as a whole the Startup Street site looks a lot like the 12 Daily Pro site. About the more detailed questionnaire required at sign-up she said, "This is a little bit scarier this time."

Besides the Consumer Lane, there is also a "Business Boulevard" that does require a modest monthly fee.

The program as described is vague. Consumers apparently earn points for viewing the ads and answering questions. Those points can eventually be redeemed for unspecified "awards".

But heres the real bombshell: While promoting her new program, Charis Johnson blasts her old program.

Once the queen of the auto-surf industry, here's what she's saying now:

"If you are currently participating in online surfing programs or riskly high-yield investment programs, the reality is 99% of these programs will fail because they are illegal, run by the unscrupulous or not meant for long term viability. Either way, if you entrust these types of programs with your financial future, you will be sorely disappointed. We want to help you eliminate the need for such risky ventures and give you a sense of pride for accomplishing success on your own terms. You need to take the power to control your destiny out of the hands of those programs and into your own."

"Thats really sad," said Nelson. "Most people are not going to come to this website knowing that this is the same person who started up 12 Daily Pro. She said, "If I wasnt helping [ABC 4], I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole!"

Charis Johnson remains under investigation by the FBI. And her former program 12 Daily Pro and its parent company, LifeClicks LLC, remain under the control of a receiver appointed by a Federal Judge.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is also looking at civil penalties against Johnson and could require that she give back the money that she took from 12 Daily Pro investors.

To check on the federally-apointed receiver's investigation of 12 Daily Pro, log onto: www.tlennonfor12dailypro.com.

Story by: Brent Hunsaker
brent@abc4.tv

Warning Signs of a closing HYIP?

hat are your personal warning signs of a diminishing HYIP? Tredeau, Tracey Jones and Nancy C. Humphries cannot fully account for more than $5.4 million that consumers placed into their accounts. You take a risk being on of the first ones in, though, because some programs are setup solely to take that opening cash and run before the program even takes off good.

This is the first way to lose. If the program actually starts paying out, as soon as investors slow down, the program will go down because it cannot afford to keep paying. What you are looking for is a program that is fairly new and has just begun to pay out. Get in but don't stay too long. It's all a game, much like poker. You play your hand and with a combination of luck and skill, you hope you win more than you lose. I'm just learning too, and losing is part of learning to play the game. So here's the ones I can think of off the top of my head:

Forex programs: The following programs invest your money in forex:

FXIG.com
4x-Club.com
MCAJ.net
ForexShrineManagement.com

Stocks / bonds / futures / arbitrage etc:

ClubInvest.net
ITS.tc
InfiniteLottto.com
ChartCandle.com
Rawlandgroup.com
MutualWealthAlliance.com

HYIP investment pools: These guys invest in other HYIPs (sometimes ponzis) but because they diversify a lot and because they know what they are doing the risk of losing all your money is greatly reduced.

Private-Investors-Union.com
HyipInvestClub.com/Forum
i-Midas.com
Udachufund.com

And of course some of the programs above can also be accessed via

FeederFund.net

Anyone else? Please do NOT post your referral links in this thread and BEWARE THE SOUL of anyone posting an obvious ponzi. The programs listed above are in my opinion likely to be trading for real. Things are not
looking good for the program at all. Charis is seemingly blaming everyone
but herself for the problems, making it into an elaborate conspiracy
theory. There are a lot of rumors flying around about the program, so it's
hard to get any solid facts. CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and many
other local news stations have picked up the story. For more info on
12DailyPro check out their Talkgold forum:
http://talkgold.com/forum/f363-12DailyPro.html

* Stormpay is still up and running. There seems to be many rumors
flying around about this site as well. Many members are getting money
frozen and accounts locked, which is not very encouraging. It looks as
though Stormpay may be trying to redo everythign which 12dailypro has
done, which is pissing off a lot of people. There have been reports that
some members have had money taken from their bank accounts by Stormpay.
Stay tuned, because the entire 12dp/Stormpay fiasco is bound to have
more twists and turns then a rollercoaster at Six Flags.

* The Pips saga drags on despite so many signs that Mr. Marsden is a
crook. It is amazing that people still believe in the guy and are
trying to get donations together to help him out in this time of crisis.
Whatever you do, don't give money to the guy. He has lied to everyone
and deserves whatever he gets. Bryan has made a statement saying that he
will not be posting at rolclub any more until he has something good to
report. I guess it's safe to say he will never be posting again.

* Emails have been circulating stating that Freeland Opps is Back.
Please ignore these emails as we feel it is a scammer trying to take
advantage of the last bits of hope FLO investors had. If in fact it is
Xavier, then thats even more money not to invest in the scammers program.

* StaynProfit has been reported as not paying out. They lasted
approximately 4 months and paid 1.3% per day. The admin has not given any
sort of update as of yet.

* The following hyips have had their hosting accounts suspened:
Halnex, SkyGroup Traders, Referral Hyip, and Win Hyip.

* The Following Programs have been reported as not paying:
Reinvest-Bank, Love4hyip, Spain Hyip, FX Union Corp, Gold Generation Club, and
Arabian Online Inc.

* Autosurfs.net has made a lot of changes to their unique autosurf
rating and monitoring site. Their site is 100% free for admins to list,
and the site incorporates ratings and monitoring into one site. The URL
is http://www.autosurfs.net

* HYIP101 has added a lot of new features to their phenominal e-book
that they have written on HYIPs. We highly suggest purchasing their
e-book if you want to really make money on HYIPs. You can but their
e-book at:
http://www.hyip101.com/go.php?r=3&l=uggc%3A%2F%2Fjjj.ulvc101.pbz%2F

Looks like they would rather take 12daily down than pay them

Here is my support ticket and reply from stormpay.

Netiba and stormpay Waiting Time: 11h 25m | ID: 462850

Created by You
04 Feb 2006 02:51 You knew full well what these programs were about and its only since members started getting paid that this anti ponzi movement started. StormPay is not free to comment on the details of these investigations but is proactively working with investigators to expedite the investigations and ultimately the return of purchasers monies. Until such time as the investigations are complete, the merchants funds have been frozen to insure the integrity and safe handling of the funds.

At this time, StormPay executives continue to receive many threats from members of 12dailypro.com and other auto surf sites. Members who continue to harass and threaten only cause delays for all parties concerned as arrests will be made for these actions. As threats continue, investigations and final resolution will be delayed.

ABC News has done three segments on 12 Daily Pro. Stormpay has ridiculously high fees for those who don't pay the $20 to join their Stormpay owned NetIBA.

These unfair tactics amount to extortion and may result in a number of sites becoming unstable. Sites depend on a balance of fees in different payment processors to remain viable.

The Stormpay site is down almost daily. Stormpay has been unable to supply debit cards to customers for many weeks now and are hardly reliable. It is expensive for international customers to make a withdrawal. The only alternative is to have a check sent which results in more fees when processed through a bank account.

I would not be surprised to see Stormpay brought before the courts to explain why they have used these tactics in an attempt to gain a monopoly for their group of sites.

I will now only promote sites which do not offer Stormpay as an option.

I would be interested to read comments by other forum members on this important issue.

Info from Capital-Managing.org

INFO. I would guess that the largest group of over $500 investors didn't start with $500, though, they probably worked up to that amount.

So, achieving the $500 amount is not really anything in itself. There are those who manage several thousand dollars and those who start with maybe $5 or $10. The main thing is not really the amount, but rather that the amount is disposable or discretionary funds. It seems like a really legit hyip, and I was wondering if anyone has tried it yet. They pay 5% daily (mon.-fri.) for 8 weeks. They accept almost every form of payment, with a minimum investment of only $5. Here's a little info from their FAQ:

3.1. How can you pay such huge profits?
First we should say that we make substantially more profit than we pay to our investors in interest payments. We're experienced Forex and Gold market entrepreneurs. We see a great arbitrage/growth opportunity on gold market now, which allows us to make really good profit these days. Our ingenious scheme is based on speculating with forward gold contracts and gold futures, using a highly leveraged strategy based on the arbitrage opportunities, brought to life by soaring gold prices these days.

4.1. For how long are you going to offer this opportunity?
We'll be offering this opportunity for at least two full cycles of the program. So you'll be able to make 400% profit in 16 weeks if you reinvest your profits. Then we plan to lower the returns we pay to around 3-4% daily, that will happen in May 2006.

5.1. Why is my investment secure?
We structure profit payments to our members in such a way that you can be sure that the profit flow won't stop. We prefer to pay you your principle investment back daily, together with profits, which makes the cash flow stable and lets us use your investment to the full extent. That's how it works:
-You make your investment
-We put 50% of your investment in the investment pool, diversified between selected Forex traders and gold futures/forward contracts speculations.
-The other 50% goes into our reserve fund, which should provide the stability of our program.
- We start making profit on your investment, now it's in the range of 4-7% daily. We pay you approximately 2.5% out of our profits, 2.5% out of the reserve fund. The rest of our profit goes back into the investment pool, and the compounding effect comes into play.
-As the program goes on we replenish the reserve fund with a part of our profits, so there is ALWAYS money for payouts. We want both our investors and us to get the maximum profit from our program, and this unique payment structure makes it possible.

6.1. Why do you provide no member area where I can track my investment?
We want to make our program as robust as possible. We want no hackers to break into the online database and steal your money, so we keep the database of our investors offline, so you can be sure that the cash flow won't stop. You can always login to your e-gold or e-bullion account and check the update of your account balance.

Well I must say, I am a bit confused about this one as "whois" pulled one IP address and a domain name could not be matched, and "coolwhois" pulled another IP address,
and a domain name could not be matched...
A DNS Report showed that there was a problem with the Sender Policy Framework (SPF); This means that spammers can easily send out E-mail that looks like it came from that domain, and the DNS Report also showed:
Your www.croftbros.com A record is:
www.croftbros.com. A 209.249.221.12 [TTL=7200] [US], which is entirely different than the "whois" IP address.
I attribute this to the fact that this domain has two nameservers, which is not uncommon, but generally, they are sequential. These both appear to be in the US, but one in NJ and one in CA.
However, using - IP - 209.249.221.12
NetRange: 209.249.0.0 - 209.249.255.255

Even though the Croft Bros 'seem' to be using their identity and location in running this program, there just is something not right given this technical information. If someone else can interpret this information with some other meaning, I welcome better understanding.
I suppose I trust the technical details to tell a more believable story than the story than the Croft Bros are telling about their program.

Time tells.... use judgement.

OK well in the time it took for me to do the above research, forwardone also found a link on the Croftbros.com forum with similiar questions. Now I did not search for "CroftBrothers".com and I assume that is where the UK connection came in. I did not find any hosting in Ill either, but probably due to the same reason.
And now that I see the questions that are being evaded on the forum, I feel much better advising "caution" if you invest in this program.

Study - Which Payouts Are The Best?

by HYIPMailer.com
With the help of many individuals we were able to conduct our own study on the profitability of different types of HYIPs. This is what we did:

We made 4 groups of programs:

Type 1 - Low paying (Total of 10%-25% per month)
Type 2 - Low-Medium paying (Total of 26%-40% per month)
Type 3 - High-Medium paying (Total of 41%-100% per month)
Type 4 - High paying (Total of 101%+ per month)

We then invested small amounts of $ into atleast 11 programs in each group. Some programs were private while others were public. Our initial investments took place 5 months before writing this article. Our goal was to see which type of program was the most profitable, and steady paying. We used programs which were daily, weekly and monthly paying. Please understand that we took programs that we thought would be productive. The programs that looked like trash, and seemed like trash were left out of this study. Also note, that we mainly used newer programs in our study. Here are the results:

Type 1 - Low paying (Total of 10%-25% per month). Out of 11 Programs we investing in, 5 months ago, we profited on 4 of them. Out of the remaining 7, 3 are still running (we are close to profit on most of these), and 4 Shut down altogether leaving us with losses. The average return of these 11 programs in Type 1 is: 115%. This number should grow, however since there are still three programs that are paying us out of the 11 original programs. We calculated a weighted return. The weighted return if these remaining 3 programs pay for the average amount of time is 148%.

Type 2 - Low-Medium paying (Total of 26%-40% per month). Out of 13 programs we invested in, 5 months ago, we profited on 7 of them. From the remaining 6, 2 are still running and 4 have closed, leaving us with losses. The average return of these 13 programs in Type 2 is: 118%. This number should grow, however since there are still two programs that are paying us out of the 13 original programs. We calculated a weighted return. The weighted return if these 2 remaining programs pay for the average amount of time is 125%

Type 3 - High-Medium paying (Total of 41%-100% per month) Out of 12 programs we invested in, 5 months ago, we profited on 6 of them. The other 6 added to our losses. None of these programs are still paying. The average return of these 12 programs in Type 3 is: 120%.

Type 4 - High paying (Total of 101%+ per month). Out of 11 programs we invested in, 5 months ago, we profited on 5 of them. The other 6 added to our losses. None of these programs are still paying. The average return of these 11 programs in Type 4 is: 90%.

The total weighted return of our entire portfolio was: 120.91%

Overall we earned about 21% from our investing. This amounts to just over 4% per month. Not so great, but atleast we earned something. What this study tells us is that the lower the program pays, the more likely you are to earn a profit. If we were to invest all our funds in Type 1 programs, we would have earned about 10% per month profit rather then 4% per month. As you can see, the exremely high paying programs that target mainly gamblers are not a good choice unless you want to lose your money. Please note that our sample size was rather small, therefore the standard deviation could be quite large. We hope to do further studies in the future.

12Daily have more News

We wanted to take this time to update all of you who chose the compounding option for your E-Gold transition payments of the payment process we will be implementing regarding these compounded upgrade payments.

We offered the compounding option to members in an attempt to allow anyone who needed time to setup and get verified a new Stormpay or EMO account as needed. Unfortunately we did not ancitipate the sheer number of members who would choose to have their compounded upgrade payments paid to EMO. Because such a large amount of these compounded upgrades were all purchased on one day, they are all due to be paid out on the same day when normally they would have been spread out over the course of 2 weeks.

When we look at the numbers, that means that for that day we would be paying out almost 6 times our normal daily payout to a payment processor. This is manageable for us in the case of StormPay, as we have a substantial reserve fund there. But just as EMO transition payments were slow early on due to the need to move funds, compounded upgrade payments to EMO will similarly be affected.

Moving the necessary funds into place, once compounded members made their choice for processor is not a process that can be done quickly. We are also very concerned that payment of these funds all at once will result in mass upgrades on the day(s) of payments which will through off the balance of funds going forward.

Because of the above factors, we will need to extend the payment period for Compunded EMO payments to within 10 business days. However we would like to offer an alternative for those of you that may be able to take advantage of it. Your compounded upgrade is currently set to be paid to the payment processor and ID you have set in your account.
